got really bored and made the N6 into Club Penguins. couldn’t decide whether they should look like their CC designs, or CT designs, or how they’d design their own penguins, so I did a mix of the 3 / what felt right lol
the N6 as players:
Brooklynn: obsessed with playing the PSA missions. the others always ask her to play with them and she promises to after just one more mission (a lie). investigated the Operation Blackout rumors. she’s constantly searching for secret messages on the island. she uses her coins to buy the most fashionable outfits and loves being the first to find new hidden items in the catalogs. hangs out in the Coffee Shop with everyone
Kenji: wants to have the highest rated igloo, but he’s not very good at the minigames so Yaz plays on his account to get him coins. he scouts other players’ igloos to steal borrow ideas. loves the monthly parties/themes and throwing his own parties. collects Special Actions’ Items (pretends to work everywhere). looks online to know where/when to find rare items (also uses codes). throws snowballs at other players
Yaz: prides herself on being the best at the minigames. when she wants to play Sled Racing she yells at other players on the Ski Hill to play against her. Darius beat her at Card-Jitsu too many times and now she refuses to play (her excuse is that it doesn't take skill anyway). enjoys the Night of the Living Sled short films and dressing up for the Halloween parties. one time she submitted artwork to be displayed in the game
Darius: as good at the minigames as Yaz but he doesn’t take it nearly as seriously. his favorite game is Card-Jitsu and he’s always trying to get the others to play with him. he earned all the belts in one sitting (then did it on Kenji’s account). plays in the Arcade and reads books in the Book Room. loves anything Rockhopper related. always exploring less popular areas of the island and finding/unlocking secret rooms
Ben: very invested in the in-game conspiracy theories and lore. logs on and immediately tries to tip the Iceberg (hard hat on, pengussy out). tries to convince others of the most random theories. eavesdrops on players misbehaving and follows them around because he’s nosy. has been banned many times for refusing to leave other penguins’ igloos when they tell him to. reports “pookies” because he thinks they’re pedos
Sammy: spends most of her time in the main hangout spots chatting with everyone. she’s been temporarily banned twice for revealing and asking for too much personal information (you can’t ask for someone’s address to send them a care package, Sammy). she’s the best at Puffle Roundup and uses her coins to adopt puffles (she has to get one of every color/type). she takes naming and caring for them very seriously
comments on their designs ->
Brooklynn was the hardest in getting the right outfit/jewelry combo, but I lucked out with her hair. an alternate version of her had glasses but I wanted her to have eyelashes (does she look like a Simpsons character, maybe)
Kenji was originally going to be blue but red just went better with his outfit + vibe. an alternate version of him had sunglasses but I wanted his eyes to be visible
Yaz could have been black, her favorite color like I did with Brooklynn, but she looked better purple. she had good options for hair but not for her outfit
Darius was the easiest (minimalist king), but unfortunately Club P is lacking in textured hair options so this was the best I could do. he could have been green but brown suited him best
Ben is the best imo. the hair and outfit were perfect, but had to settle for a satchel. he could have been peach but he looks better orange
Sammy looks the most like her younger self but no other hair option matched her as well as this one. she could have been yellow but I swapped her and Brooklynn’s colors. she's the only one with expressive eyes
Everyone’s shoe choices were very easy

Rosie’s Vintage shopping list, 2018.
Two more stops to go before the music shopping spree is history. Whatever locations are on the list seems to be further away each time. Today’s theme is the record annex which is picking up on Long Island. It started a year-and-a-half ago when Hideaway Vinyl set shop in Rosie’s Vintage in Huntington. Looks like they have an online presence still despite nothing being updated in a few months, so why not take the trip to see what it’s all about?
It’s been quite a while since being in Huntington. I do have some personal history there. My ex- Yenny brought me over to work there (our second job working together) for several years and it’s where she used to live. And let’s try to forget a dreaded miserable summer post-rain day out with former friend and staffer Molina, who took me through a cemetery, burger place, and an isolated park in an attempt to get close to me. No dice.
I walk in to Rosie’s and it’s bonafide vintage. Looks like the owners took over a small Fifties-style house in white-bread suburbia. Walk in and you’ll certainly feel the loud creaking of the all-wood floors. Its’ living room, dens, bedrooms, and many closets are filled with tons of kitsch, knick-knacks, and collectibles from the mid-century. Street signs, old threads, compasses, jewelry, board games, wardrobes, dolls, salt-shakers…I can go on. There’s many stories and tales to be told by each and every object that survived its’ era; all neatly organized, piled, and sorted. As an added touch, there’s the classics played on the overheads. Collections were posted on its page and testimonials from its customers recall their purchases: old vials and medicine jars, pill and spice tins, matchbook collections, sports pennants, dishes, and the occasional naughty glassware. I can still go on if you want me to.
The guy behind the register greets me and asks what he could do for me. I’m here for Hideaway Vinyl, I say. He tells me that they left shop a few months ago. Could’ve fooled me. They no longer exist. They’re still present online on social media but it all made sense why the lack of updates. Had Hideaway stayed, there’d be a presence of punk, hardcore, surf, ska, and rockabilly. He did show me where all the vinyl is now deposited by Vinyl Paradise. Remember them? There were twelve shelves top and bottom of pre-owned vinyl, four of the same across from those bins of newly-pressed and Record Store Day releases.
Of the first twelve were plenty of rock, pop, dance, and 12″ dee-jay singles most for $10.00 and less with the occasional new hardcore pressing. I found a lot of 12″ hip-hop and dance singles; Nice & Wild and Harold Faltermeyer were two hits New York’s Z100 played growing up during my single-digit Eighties youth. Everything else in Shabba Ranks, Mad Skillz, Boogiemonsters, and Blahzay Blahzay were all summer hits going to Brentwood. WBLS, Hot 97, and Kiss FM played them all. As always, there’s the pop-rock quotient from Genesis and Dire Straits. Hello, nice to meet you again. Also relieved to find was the complete Malcomb McLaren & The World Famous Supreme Team’s “Buffalo Gals” in a die-cut label sleeve.
In comes Thea, co-owner of Rosie’s Vintage in her rockabilly / Rosie The Riveter motif. She says hello and sees the stack in my hand. She offers to put it aside for me which I obliged. I kindly ask if there would be more vinyl and does tell me there might be some upstairs. That’s where I’m going. Heading up is possibly one of the steepest set of steps I experienced walking. I also had to dodge a heavy-set punk couple decked with gauges, tattoos, low-cut tank tops and tees coming from downstairs. I walk up and there’s a closet with a secret crate of records on the floor containing The Talking Heads’ 77 for $20.00 and its’ sister Tom Tom Club’s Close To The Bone for $15.00. Shucks. I scour the upstairs to find many more antiques. Compasses, typewriters, old magazines, books, brochures in one room with very little traces of 7″ records in one crate. The kitchen was full of dishes, glasses, and silverware stacked in the sink and on its’ counter but no records to be found.
Thea rings me up and I’m golden. This became the shortest time spent in any store with the smallest stack and the least amount of money paid. 45 minutes to look through 16 bins of records for a total of $29.00 and I say good-bye to Rosie’s Vintage and Huntington until next time. Only two more stores are on the list to go before calling it quits on record-shopping for a while: Sunday Records in Riverhead and Innersleeve Records in Amagansett.

David Webb: A Self Taught Jeweller
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Born in Asheville, North Carolina in 1925, David Webb was a self-taught jewelry designer. His works mostly included dragon bracelets, Maltese cross brooches and animal motifs. David webb Jewelery and his artworks were loved by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Elizabeth Taylor, and his work is still instantly recognisable today. Today David Webb jewelry auction is held on big auction sites.
The suffering picture of David Webb is inherently attached to his rising to notoriety in the midst of the allure of mid-1960's America, obviously, the story began a whole lot sooner than that. David Webb was brought into the world in 1925 in Asheville, North Carolina, and got his beginning as a student in a silversmith's shop having a place with his uncle, prior to moving to New York where he worked fixing gems in Greenwich Village. David Webb jewelry for sale is available online on the auction platforms like Bidsquare.
It was not some time before Webb's regular appeal and ability carried him to the consideration of New York's social first class and, with the support of the well off supporter Antoinette Quilleret, he was at last ready to open his own shop in 1945. His juvenile business immediately met with sufficient achievement that he had the option to purchase out Quilleret right away subsequently, setting up David Webb Inc. in 1948. Webb's self-trained style overflowed with thoughts gathered from years spent poring over old gems from Greece, Mesopotamia, and Central and South America, just as conventional adornments styles from China and India. Obviously, plan drifts nearer to home additionally had their part to play in his turn of events. The direction of American and European adornments over his early stages can be extensively portrayed as a swing away from the theoretical math of Art Deco towards more overflowing, non-literal subjects from the regular world. This development was supported by such industry titans as Cartier, where the persuasive association of innovative chief Jeanne Toussaint and architect Peter Lemarchand brought about all way of creature themes, finishing in Cartier's acclaimed 'Huge Cat' gems of the last part of the 1940s onwards. The impact was certain - in the most natural sounding way for Webb, 'everything was brought into the world from the impact of Toussaint, normally, she propelled we all'. David Webb Auction today is a result of his talent.
Webb's gems were normal profound replacements to both Cartier's metaphorical gems and their previous Indian-impacted 'Tutti Frutti' style of the mid-1920s, yet it was Webb's own visionary twist on these themes that impelled his firm to progress. His plans established a connection with probably the most persuasive adornments gatherers of the period, maybe most conspicuously Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (1929-1994). His status as the pre-prominent American gem dealer was cleverly perceived by the First Lady, who charged him to make a progression of paperweights including an assortment of American minerals to be introduced to visiting heads of state. Ruler Hassan of Morocco, for instance, was given a gold figure of an American Eagle inset with an American topaz on a state visit in March 1963.
Another piece, that stayed in the assortment of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and was sold in 1996 especially epitomizes the glow of Webb's relationship with his marvelous benefactor. It's anything but a Cellini-Esque coral paperweight. The buff-hued coral was of nostalgic importance – it had been initially introduced to President Kennedy as a blessing, as it started from Kasolo Island in the Solomon Islands, where he had been wrecked in 1943. Webb was endowed by Jacqueline Kennedy, to improve her late spouse's coral in 1966, utilizing it to frame the fishtail of regularly creative legendary ocean lion, cast in gold, which he settled upon a bigger part of coral among a bed of brilliant precious stones to shape the paperweight.
Webb's creature themed gems were a specific top choice among an abundance of well known customers, for instance, the Duke of Windsor, who purchased a plated frog bangle as an unexpected present for his significant other in March 1964. The piece was without a doubt generally welcomed, as Webb is said to have followed up the buy with a coordinating with pair of ear cuts, which he gave as a blessing straightforwardly to the Duchess herself.
He additionally tracked down a continuing in Hollywood: his delusion bangles, themselves an enthusiastic reexamination of comparative customary Indian gems plans and later forms via Cartier, joined the zoo of Elizabeth Taylor, and some of his other striking plans likewise discovered their direction into the assortments of stars like Ava Gardner, Lana Turner, and Merle Oberon. A definitive underwriting came from the incomparable authority of ground breaking design of the period – the whimsical manager of Harper's Bazaar Diana Vreeland, who prized a significantly striped polish bangle displayed as a zebra, Webb's own embraced image.
This wonderful vocation was grievously stopped – David Webb kicked the bucket of pancreatic disease in 1975, at the time of only 50. Regardless of this overwhelming misfortune, the organization has kept, creating gems amazingly with regards to the soul, creative mind, and quality that characterized Webb's suffering style, still from the workshop over his leader store neglecting the clamor of New York's Madison Avenue.

Tips To Know:
-Arrive to the Park Early:
Get there early. Like, before it opens early. Once the park opens, walk directly to the Harry Potter area without stopping for anything else, do not look at your mobiles because if you want to experience the Wizarding World of Harry Potter without crowds and long lanes, you must arrive before everyone else does.
-Try The Butter Bear:
Do not forget to drink the butter bear, its a non-alcoholic drink, which comes in both cold and frozen varieties.
-Bring a Small Backpack:
You can bring backpacks and snacks into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but you can’t bring bags with you on most of the rides. If needed just keep a small backpack because the lockers for keeping bags are fairly small and the lines to use the lockers can be crowded.
-Call Ministry Of Magic:
There's a magic phone booth outside the train station. The red phone box  is outside of King's Cross Station, but few tourists will actually try to use the phone. If you dial MAGIC (62442), you'll be patched through to the Ministry of Magic.
-How to Avoid Long Lines:
Long lines and crowded areas may occur for the Dragon Challenge coasters, popular rides where guests can use the Universal Express Pass skip to the front of the line.
-Where to Buy a Wand:
Ollivanders is a beautiful little shop. This is a well-done vignette, but wait times can be lengthy. If your time is limited, ask yourself whether this is a must to do. You can also buy wands from carts outside Hogwarts Castle and in Diagon Alley or you can buy them online too.
-Get dessert at Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour:
Try a scoop of ice cream.
-Exchange Money at Bank:
At Gringotts bank, you can exchange money i.e 2$ for 2$ , its fun and you do not have to pay extra cost. You can use bank coins to buy food and other stuff. -
Weather:
Mostly the weather is hot at Orlando.
-Best Time to Visit:
The best time to visit the place is Autumn especially in October, when thrills are added to tour because of Halloween Events and Entertainments.

the space between part II
TSB masterlist TSB Extras: Drabbles/Headcanons/Music
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x POC Reader
Summary: Bucky Barnes has been dead for a few years. You’re reminded of him and his love every time you look at your daughter, and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
Chapter Summary: Nostalgia is your constant companion.
Warnings: kids, mentions of pregnancy, character death, cursing, smut
Word Count: 1213
A/N: I know I’ve neglected this- and all my other series. I haven’t quite been in the right headspace to do crank this out and I know this is kind of a filler chapter. But enjoy and let me know what you think!
When the days are especially grueling for you, you let Mira sleep in your bed with you. It’s almost like she can sense that you’re troubled, that it takes energy that you simply don’t have to go through the motions of your day. Mira is like your little battery, charging you up with kisses, cuddles and wide grins with teeth that are barely there.
Bucky would have enjoyed these days with you. The days that were spent in your bed that was too big for just you, giggling and kissing your daughter. Your daughter, who was the spitting image of both of you. The baby who could bat her eyelashes at you and you would be putty in her chubby hands.
Bucky would have also enjoyed the days you spent in the park with her. Especially when the leaves turned from green to reds, oranges, and browns. Bucky always loved sitting in Central Park or Battery Park and people watching in silence, with your hand in his and your heartbeat in sync with his.
You love dressing her in animal themed onesies. Your favorite one to dress her up in is the brown bear onesie that Natasha had gifted you- you could eat her up whenever you put that one on her. Every time you nuzzle her tummy in that onesie and whisper to here that Mama’s gonna eat you! she giggles uncontrollably, her laughter turning into almost screeches.
Mira makes your heart hurt in the best way possible. Despite her eyes being a few shades of a darker blue than Bucky’s had been, they still remind you of him. You had been surprised that she didn’t have an ounce of Bucky’s super soldier serum in her. But maybe it would show up later on when she was older.
Maybe she would be lifting tables, couches, even houses someday. You always got teary eyed at the thought of your baby girl and her father potentially running around New York City and saving the day.
You’d never let her out of your sight if you could help it.
“Do you think I should try dating again?” You ask Natasha as you hand her over some food that you’ve made for her. Natasha is bouncing Mira in her lap and is pulling faces at her as Mira tugs at her red hair.
“You think you’re ready to?” Natasha implores with a raise of her eyebrow. You sigh.
“Yes,” You say too quickly, “No. I don’t know. I have to start somewhere, right? He’s not... He’s not coming back, Nat.”
You lay your head on Natasha’s shoulder and her free arm wraps around you. You’re not ready to venture into dating, but you know you can’t keep dwelling on Bucky.
This is fruitless, though, because your thoughts are always filled with him. Your head is filled with cotton candy daydreams of him, your apartment is filled with all of his things exactly as he left them- the candle he had purchased for you a few weeks before he left is still on your kitchen island, his watch sitting inside your dresser next to your own watches, the old pictures of him and Steve and his family at your nightstand where he left them, his dog tags that he had given you years ago still hang on your jewelry stand on top of your dresser.
His toothbrush was still in your bathroom, his razor and aftershave in the small drawer below the sink. Your favorite cologne of his has become your choice of fragrance now. Pictures of you and him are littered over the walls of your apartment, next to pictures of you and Mira.
You wish you had pictures with both of them in one photograph. You wish you could see the way Mira’s infectious laugh would send Bucky into tears because you knew what he’d be thinking-
I can’t believe I have this. I can’t believe I have all of this.
Moving on is impossible when you’re still living like Bucky is bound to come home any time soon.
But you can’t bring yourself to do anything more than just the motions.
Dating has only gotten worse as the years have gone on, you think. You don’t know which number first date this has been, but you’re bored out of your mind already. Your thoughts keep flitting to Mira, wondering what she’s doing, if she misses you. Mira is currently with Steve in your apartment, and you’re at this fancy Italian restaurant with this guy whose name you don’t care for.
Tony had set you up with him, and you had stupidly thought it was a good idea. It was a good distraction, though- all the blind dates and the online dates.
They were a good distraction from the hole in your heart, the iciness that seemed to have become a permanent layer to it.
You make an excuse and leave the restaurant, not bothering to look back.
You can’t do the dating anymore, you decide. You just can’t. Some part of you feels like you’re cheating on Bucky. Since your whole heart is apparently still doomed to be his.
Even if he’s not yours anymore.
Coming home to seeing Steve on your couch with Mira asleep on his chest is a sight you’ve become accustomed to, and a sight you’ll never get tired of seeing.
“Hey,” You say, putting your keys and purse on the table. You slip out of your shoes and make your way to your bedroom after pressing a kiss to Mira’s forehead.
“Hey, how’d it go?” Steve asks after you change from your blouse and pants into your pajamas and sit next to him. You take Mira from him, who barely stirs. Maybe she’s used to both your touch and Steve’s touch so much that she can hardly tell the difference anymore.
“Same old,” You shrug, “I don’t... I don’t think I can do it anymore, though. I don’t care enough to get to know someone like that all over again.” You meet Steve’s gaze and he gives you an understanding smile.
“I told you it wouldn’t work,” There is no smugness in is voice, only the truth.
“Yeah, yeah. Cap knows everything,” You roll your eyes and push his shoulder playfully, “I think... I think I already had my one great love. And it was everything it was supposed to be. But I think that’s the only great love I’ll ever get because-”
“Because it won’t come around again,” Steve finishes for you. His bright, blue eyes are brimming with an emotion that you know is mirrored in your own eyes- bittersweet nostalgia. He’s thinking about Peggy, and you’re thinking about Bucky.
You’ve always gotten along with Steve, finding yourself on the same wavelength as him more often than not.
“Yeah,” You breathe out. Exhaustion is suddenly tickling the edges of your mind at that confession. Steve checks the time on his phone and rises to leave but you pull on his arm.
“Steve,” You choke out, “Please stay. I don’t... I don’t want to be alone.”
Steve stays, sleeping next to you in your bed. He feels like he’s intruding since he’s sleeping in the space Bucky used to sleep in, but he needs this just as much as you do.
You don’t feel so empty inside when you wake up the next morning with your legs tangled with his.

Street signs, old threads, compasses, jewelry, board games, wardrobes, dolls, salt-shakers...I can go on.
Genesis Abacab
Nice & Wild “Diamond Girl” 12″
Shabba Ranks “Mr. Loverman” 12″
Dire Straits self-titled
Mad Skillz “Nod Factor” 12“
Boogiemonsters “Recognized Thresholds Of Negative Stress 12″
Blahzay Blahzay “Danger!” 12″
Harold Faltermeyer “Axel F” 12“
Spyro Gyra self-titled
Malcomb McLaren & The World Famous Supreme Team “Buffalo Gals” 12″

When Will In-Person Watch Fairs Be Back? Every year Lane Schiffman — who lives in Greensboro, N.C., and who co-owns a handful of high-end watch and jewelry stores, including Shreve & Co. — usually spends a couple weeks in Switzerland at the trade shows that have been anchors of the watch industry for decades. But for Watches and Wonders Geneva, the virtual trade fair that hosts 38 brands and starts on April 7, he will be sitting in a friend’s house, watching each company unveil its newest timepieces on a computer screen. Mr. Schiffman said he will miss having new watches in his hands and socializing with colleagues in person. He is realistic, however, about the current limitations on physical gatherings. “It’s not something we can do, so Plan B is the next best thing, and Plan B is to do things virtually,” he said. Certainly the online presentations this year have filled a pandemic-inspired need, but what happens to watch fairs when restrictions on large gatherings and travel are lifted? And, perhaps even more important to the majority of watch fans, will brands revert to their traditional patterns, largely bypassing online channels available to the many in favor of in-person exchanges with the few? Many watch industry insiders see the merits of physical fairs, historically held annually in Basel and Geneva. “It gives much more strength that all the brands are speaking at once,” said Frédéric Arnault, chief executive of TAG Heuer. “It helps us all create this mystique around not just this or that brand, but all watch brands.” But virtual fairs have their supporters, too. “There is something about just being able to, I hate to say it, sit in your underwear and not leave your home and watch the show,” said Adam Craniotes, an editor at large at the watch magazine Revolution and co-founder of the RedBar Group, a collectors’ organization. Watch fairs, like so many businesses, were forced to recalibrate by the pandemic. And in this case, experts say, that restructuring was overdue. “Probably this year of Covid was useful for them to try to disrupt something that was difficult to disrupt without such an event,” said Claudia D’Arpizio, partner and head of luxury goods for the management consultants Bain & Company. “Everyone was questioning the value of these fairs.” The Swiss events were pitched mostly at retailers and journalists with splashy presentation booths that can cost several million dollars and fancy brand-hosted events each evening. At Geneva’s fair, for example, the public wasn’t allowed entry until 2017, and that access was limited to a single day. For several years there had been a feeling that the expense and exclusivity, especially in the all-access climate of social media and websites, were outdated. As Ms. D’Arpizio put it, “It’s nonsense that all this content had lived just one week, like a butterfly.” In the past, watch companies unveiled their main annual releases at two fairs. One was the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, commonly known as S.I.H.H. — held in Geneva in January and focused on luxury brands, predominantly those owned by Richemont, like Cartier and Jaeger-LeCoultre. The other was Baselworld, the world’s largest watch and jewelry fair by almost every measure, with roots that went back more than 100 years. It was held in the spring and included both top-tier and more accessibly priced timepieces, jewelry and gems. Things began to change a few years ago, as some brands pulled out of fairs entirely and others decided to create their own events. Brands owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, like Bulgari and Zenith, introduced new watches at a group event in Dubai in 2020 and again earlier this year — although many are also unveiling models this week at Watches and Wonders. Then came the pandemic. Watches -and Wonders 2020 was digital — free viewing, with consumer access for some of the content — with small physical versions last fall in Shanghai and on the Chinese island of Hainan. Baselworld 2020 was canceled entirely. Organizers of Watches and Wonders Geneva promise content this year that goes beyond just brand rundowns of new watches. And next week, a physical version of the fair is scheduled in Shanghai, with panels, talks and workshops as well as booths from 19 brands. “We’ve tried to move it from a professional salon, old style, into something I would say is more of a forum — a mix of Fashion Week meets Davos meets Watches and Wonders,” said Emmanuel Perrin, president of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, the nonprofit organization that puts on the fair. (He is also head of specialist watchmakers’ distribution at Richemont, which accounts for about a third of the online fair’s participants.) Baselworld has said it is returning, too, although in a different configuration. Renamed Hour Universe, the fair is planned as a live event in June. It also intends to hold a digital fair later this year, although that was an addition promised, but not fulfilled, in 2019. (Some Baselworld mainstays, like Patek Philippe and Rolex, are scheduled at Watches and Wonders.) Many brands also have pivoted to and invested in video equipment to be used at the fairs and beyond. Chopard, for example, installed a film studio in its Geneva headquarters that it intends to introduce during the fair this week. H. Moser & Cie set up in a similar studio, with professional lighting and three cameras, which it said has been used nearly every day since it was set up last fall. It intends to host a virtual presentation this week, with a vacation-themed backdrop that the brand said should lighten the potentially dull exercise of presenting timepieces. “We heard from a lot of journalists that, in general, those presentations are quite stiff, so we’re trying to create an atmosphere that’s a little bit different,” said Edouard Meylan, its chief executive. Watch fans likely have had the same reaction as those following fashion since the pandemic all but eliminated runway shows: Some videos are brilliant, some are just boring. In addition to its presentation of new watches, Montblanc’s watch division will include a live conversation with Reinhold Messner, the mountaineer and a brand ambassador, talking about an expedition that helped inspire elements of a limited edition timepiece. Other brands pretaped footage in dynamic venues. Hermès, for example, went to Geneva’s historic Bâtiment des Forces Motrices, taking along a sculpture and digital art piece that it had commissioned. And Ulysse Nardin filmed at Bassins de Lumière, a World War II submarine base in the Bordeaux region of France, to emphasize its maritime tradition. “There could be a Zoom fatigue,” said Patrick Pruniaux, chief executive of Ulysse Nardin and Girard-Perregaux. “We have to make sure that we are delivering the message in a way which is the most exciting.” From the brands’ standpoint, digital presentations help the bottom line. Several said production costs are as much as 90 percent less than a physical show — a real consideration as 2020 sales were down 30 percent year over year, according to Bain. And the content “can live beyond the period of the fair itself,” to be used other ways, Ms. D’Arpizio said. That hasn’t stopped one critic from creating his own digital event. “Zoom presentations as a way of running the watch industry, or as a way of getting business done, have been an abject failure,” said Ariel Adams, founder of the watch website aBlogtoWatch. “It’s because these brands have put absolutely no effort into anything beyond, ‘Hey, we heard Zoom meetings are a thing.’” As another option, next month Mr. Adams will be introducing his own online fair, called New Watch Week. He aims to create more engaging videos than those in typical brand launches. The fair will include content at intervals throughout the year, instead of just during its first week. His target audience, he said, is consumers, who will be able to watch for free, no invitations needed. That type of programming is likely to continue after the pandemic has gone. Physical fairs, he said, may well resume then, too. “The luxury industry requires real relationships, social opportunities, travel and celebration, and consumers that want to express themselves and have the money to do so,” Mr. Adams said. “If you don’t have those things happening, you don’t really have a functioning watch industry.” Source link Orbem News #Fairs #inperson #watch

(purupurupuru) (purupurupuru) (gocha!) (coo!) (coo!)
Hello! Hello, everyone! I hope everyone had a good weekend. As for me, I caught a terrible cold infection that my voice faded that even got my throat infected. Luckily the boys didn’t get sick so they did the footwork for me until I get back on my feet. Well, enough excuses, we go some news and goods to share with you. First off, last week’s chapter was a devil’s luck as Luffy was able to find his last resort for his plan. We last see as Luffy’s gear 4th ran out of time so he had to find a place to catch his breath, but Dogtooth wasn’t gonna let that happen as he went straight for him. Just when there was no way to get away from him, Luffy spotted his savior to escape, Brulee. She was just sitting there and let the gum gum dope kidnap and escape to place where he get his strength. However, he showed up at the wrong place at the wrong time literally. He landed at Nuts Island where Big Mom was destroying the town and eating the buildings. Now he and Brulee have to make dash off before she pummels them to death. Meanwhile, Nami and the others are still at sea on their guard so they can be ready to meet the chefs. At the end, Sanji and the girls finished making their ingredients for the cake, now they must set sail to put the finishing touches and meet with the gang. Will they make it on time? Or will trouble ruined their plan? Let’s how things get next week. Yes, no chapter this week so be patient. Next, this past weekend’s episode was in flaming. Tumblr media
Costa Rican-inspired cuisine and flavorful Tiki cocktails served at Jurassic Café and all-new tropical Isla Nu-bar add to the dynamic guest experience as part of Universal Studios Hollywood’s new mega attraction opening this summer, “Jurassic World—The Ride,” based on the JURASSIC WORLD blockbuster films.
Along with an array of souvenir collectible, limited edition and one-of-a-kind dimensional dinosaur sculptures from the Jurassic Outfitters store, guests can savor a piece of this exciting thrill ride even after they’ve gone home.
Borrowing its name from the fictitious Central American island in the JURASSIC WORLD movies, the stand-alone, open-air Isla Nu-bar, complete with a thatched roof, serves up tropical-themed Tiki cocktails in three collectible cups:  Etched Tiki, Bamboo-styled Tiki and Tiki God.
Whether blended or made-to-order with fresh juices, every aromatic blended drink is adorned with a pineapple leaf and edible orchid flower.  Flavorable beverages include Tropical Margarita, Piña Colada and Painkiller, along with island cocktails such as Tiki Tai, Bird of Paradise, Ti Peach, Rum Runner and Mai Tai.
With Universal Studios Hollywood’s Executive Chef Marie Grimm at the helm, the new Jurassic Café caters to a selection of Costa Rican-themed cuisine, inspired by the location of the JURASSIC WORLD movies.  Mouth-watering menu items include Sweet Corn Cakes with Slow Roasted Mojo Pork or Spicy Mojo Jackfruit, Citrus Glazed Chicken, Fresh Roasted Red Snapper and Isla Burger. Tempting starters include savory Chorizo and Potato Empanadas, Crispy Lettuce Leaf Roll with Shrimp, Tropical Fruit Salad and Pomegranate Guacamole with plantain chips.  All entrees will be accompanied by fresh green papaya salad and Costa Rica’s national dish, Gallo Pinto – traditional rice and beans.
The Jurassic Outfitters store will feature a variety of collectable merchandise to commemorate the ride’s opening, including a selection of exclusive items. From limited edition t-shirts and hats to drinkware, pins, amber stones and jewelry, Jurassic Outfitters will offer keepsake merchandise for every member of the family.

In addition to experiencing the exhilaration of the new thrill ride, guests will have the opportunity to become immortalized in one of the ride’s momentous scenes as they plunge down its treacherous 84-foot waterfall with the introduction of slo-mo video capture offered exclusively at “Jurassic World—The Ride.”  The iconic moment will be available for purchase and received digitally for riders to share via their social media platforms so they assure their friends that they indeed survived the vicious dinosaurs. Keepsake digital images will also be available for purchase.
“Jurassic World—The Ride” features an original storyline that will take guests on a breathtaking excursion through the theme park as depicted in Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s film, JURASSIC WORLD.  It will soar to new heights with the addition of iconic dinosaurs from the movie, including the colossal Indominus rex and the magnificent aquatic Mosasaurus in her natural habitat.  The ride also features the stars of the JURASSIC WORLD films – Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and BD Wong who reprise their roles as Owen Grady, Claire Dearing and Dr. Henry Wu.
The mega attraction captures the essence of the blockbuster movies and comes to life in collaboration with the award-winning and inspired minds at Universal Creative, the Academy Award®-winning special-effects visionaries at Industrial Light & Magic, a division of Lucasfilm, Ltd., Universal Pictures and acclaimed filmmakers Steven Spielberg, Colin Trevorrow and Frank Marshall.
