dacey's return from the crownlands had been a slow, tedious progress, leading to her delayed arrival back in the north long after the rest of the stark's retinue had arrived home. she'd never travelled much before, and opted for a steady journey that could allow her to take breaks, should her health require it. that would prove to be a wise decision, for the princess had remained strong throughout the coronation and still fit and well now she had returned to her home.

but the feeling in winterfell was strange. the loss of the queen, coupled with the tension between the eldest stark siblings and all things relating to alysanne casting an odd sensation over familiar halls. dacey would do her best to see where she could help, how she could best support her elder brother, but not yet. first she had to clear her mind.

and so, it was to feray locke she had come. feray had long been a friend, the recipient of many letters from dacey over the years. the idea of seeing her in the flesh again was a welcome one.

"i apologise for the short notice, feray," an apologetic smile graced dacey's face as she greeted her. "i hope my visit isn't an inconvenience to you." she would be mortified if her visit had put feray out in any way, but such things couldn't be helped.

Don't worry I have the same issue... All I think about is Odyseidon/Sea Warrior. It's BAD. Having ADHD is being SO FUCKING excited for the solar eclipse that you plan to go to the four hour college campus viewing event filled with milling about people and overlapping sounds all for the glee-filled science fixation of it all. And you pack your bag with a picnic blanket, water bottle, keys, epipen, and most importantly the solar eclipse glasses. And of course you grab the earbuds in case of overstimulation. But then you forget the fact that you're born to redheads and burn like a tomato and 4 hours of sun exposure needs sunscreen and also regular sunglasses. The duality of planning so carefully yet forgetting so carelessly. Unmatched really

the minecraft trailer pisses me off so bad because I hate how there's just like NO creativity with video game movies. all of them are isokais, and their target audience is not for the people who played the games but instead for the general audience, with just easter eggs for the actual fans and AAAAAAAAH im just so mad because a minecraft movie could be so good???

like the most basic idea would be to just have Steve live in this world, mining and crafting, living his life. he thinks he's the only one until one day when he finds Alex, an explorer, who introduces him to the ender dragon and then they tag along to the nether, etc, making it an adventure movie. that's like the most surface level idea and it's already better than how the trailer looks.

you could make it about the history of minecraft, show the people some of the lore and worldbuilding behind the game.

OR, my personal fav idea - make a movie about what happens after the ender dragon. after you've completed the game. the wither is killed, collected, multiple times even. you have the elytra. you have managed to get everything you ever worked for in your life - what do you do now? there's nothing more to do. you don't have a goal anymore, you've beat the boss, you are above everything. how do you keep living life when you don't have a meaning for it anymore? it would go very well together with the end credits of minecraft, the thematic expressions, and OH MY GOD I JUST WANT A GOOD VIDEO GAME MOVIE THAT CAN SHOW PEOPLE VIDEO GAMES HAVE MEANING AND SOUL AND AAAAAAAAAAAARGH

Sebenarnya mau menulis ini di hari lalu, 3 Juli, saat angka dua di belakang berubah jadi tiga, mengerikan. Akhir tahun lalu aku berbagi mengenai hal-hal apa saja yang kudapat di 2023. Di usiaku yang 23 lebih satu hari ini, aku juga ingin berbagi tentang 22 ku, let's go~

Ada banyak kesempatan, tapi pilihan ada di tanganmu! Well, kurasa selalu menarik ngomongin tentang kesempatan dan pilihan hidup. Buatku, sekian lama mengenal kesempatan, hal yang kemudian aku pelajari adalah: kesempatan-kesempatan itu seringkali di luar kendali kita, tapi pilihan untuk 'iya' atau 'tidak', adalah milik kita. Meski, tidak semua kesempatan harus kita iyakan dan kita sesali jika terlewat.

Jatuh cinta pada 22. Ahaha, nulis ini agak menggelikan, tapi tetap ingin kubagikan. Sebenarnya bukan jatuh cinta, tapi di usia 22, sepertinya aku punya perspektif baru mengenai perasaan dan cinta. Masih sama seperti sebelum-sebelumnya, aku masih berpegang pada "aku hanya akan jatuh cinta setelah kata 'Sah!' terucap setelah akad". Nyatanya gampang-gampang susah. Ngga deh. Susah-susah gampang, alias banyak susahnya. Aku menemukan surat dari aku untuk aku satu tahun lalu, dan ternyata trending topic ku saat itu adalah .... perasaanku, nanti akan kubuat tulisan sendiri. Menurutku, menjatuhkan perasaan saat ini tuh, akan menutup kemungkinan-kemungkinan lain. Mencontek dari cerita pendek Raditya Dika yang dia bacakan di akun youtube nya : Dunia ini terlalu luas hanya untuk menggantungkan hati lo ke orang yang lo temui waktu SMA (mari kita ganti dengan saat kuliah).

Semakin luas pandangan, semakin lapang penerimaan. Barangkali, sebab dari sulitnya kita menerima sesuatu adalah karena pandangan yang terbatas, sehingga pemahaman terhadap sesuatu itu juga terbatas. Di 22 ini, aku mulai membiasakan diri untuk "ngga apa, begini juga sudah bagus", "isokay, tidak segalanya harus perfect". Haha, perkara sempurna ini udah sejak kapan waktu ya sering kubahas, dan aku masih harus deal with it.

Hidup terus berjalan. Iya, kita sama-sama tau. Tapi aku kadang masih terjebak pada beberapa hal di masa lalu dan "jika dulu aku.." Ngga baik emang, penyesalan berlarut ngga akan bawa kita kemana-mana selain ke genangan yang lama-lama jadi busuk.

That's all, nggak banyak, tapi itu adalah bagian dari proses berpikir, yang merupakan ciri-ciri manusia. Selamat menghidup-hidupi duapuluhtiga, Ai!

I've finally completed watching The Double.

It was beautiful.

I didn't like the pearl bindi makeup but idk the historical significance or accuracy. I liked almost everything else.

Really wished I saw the penultimate episode on bigger screen but isokay.
