realized a drawing i'm doing rn is almost identically posed to one i did 8.5 years ago of a different oc, except the old drawing was instantly tainted by one of the players featured messaging me asking if i could take it down because their abusive, possessive rp partner saw it and got jealous of them "roleplaying behind their back" and i said "nah" and it became a whole Thing that i should have walked away from at that exact moment but didn't and the 6 months that followed contained some of the most truly condensed batshit i have ever witnessed in an rp community already well-known for its batshittery.

... anyway i love my friends. so happy to accidentally redeem the pose.

Hershel is actually the only character I've ever projected my dpdr onto. Idk, it fits him really well imo. Des' PTSD gives him uncontrollable fits of anger, Layton's makes him dissociate.

#professor layton #hershel layton #desmond sycamore #jean descole #bronev bros #like I feel when you throw either into a traumatic situation at this point #des gets very proactive - FIGHT out of fight flight freeze - and channels all of his stress and fear into aggression #if he gets triggered you will KNOW because he will react very badly. and it's often embarassing for him but he's also pretty defensive #meanwhile you genuinely can't know with Layton because people attribute it to him being unflappable #something DEEPLY upsetting happens to him and he's weirdly on top of things and seems to be coping super well. but he's also kind of spacey #and doesn't seem to grasp the enormity of what he's experiencing or how fucked up it is or how he maybe SHOULD be reacting #and at some point probly he has to admit to someone that for a long time now his brain sometimes just shuts off and he stops feeling himself #the world kind of breaks down around him and becomes surreal and he's always tried to hide it so he doesn't upset anyone #it started with big things but sometimes happens in response to small #on bad days it can even be a child crying/screaming or certain names #emmy can give him a big hug #rambling over lol

Honestly I get people are lashing out/shit talking because it does seem kinda weird to witness through a screen how much we’ve been able to interact with them and the interactions we’ve had. I know people are jealous, too (as in have told me they are, and I was certainly jealous last year when Rob didn’t do any events in NYC bc he was sick but did them in Philly a few days later) and I totally get that. Whatever the reason for people being assholes is, I don’t really take it personally. They don’t know the full story of literally anything that happened, they’re just watching through a screen and making their own assumptions of before, after, and in between all these clips they’re seeing, and trying to find something to justify how they feel. The claims that I’ve been ‘stalking’ them or ‘overstepping boundaries’ are genuinely just funny to me when every place we’ve met them has been an event that was publicly posted to Instagram/Facebook well in advance.

(And I’m not gonna talk on Twitter about certain details of this, but I feel like I can probably disclose here that the Four Walls people approached me to tell me/give me things and not the other way around. Their socials dmed me, followed me, Rob followed me, etc. I had literally no sway in them choosing to do those things or introducing themselves to me in person and organically engaging in conversations with me.)

We want to share our interactions with RCG on social media because we think most people appreciate and enjoy their interactions with fans (and also the small amounts of Sunny info we got), and that’s it. I don’t need to share or brag about anything. I would be perfectly content keeping everything that happened this weekend to myself (I very much avoid otherwise sharing my face or voice on social media, so I genuinely have to overcome that insecurity to even be able to share these things), but we know the majority of fans like to see this stuff and that’s why we have been posting everything.

Your message (and others i’ve received) means a lot. I’m glad the majority of people are enjoying our interactions with them and I really appreciate the time you spend to send this ask, really! And I’ll be back to posting regularly scheduled actual Sunny content very shortly :)

i love making text-heavy stuff tbh. i think i've realistically "outgrown" weirdcore at least with regard to the more heavily edited stuff, but i still deeply love the idea of making my writing pieces look like they're fucked up pieces of old web lost media, so i think i've found a way to keep going despite that

this time last year i was probably sitting in the kitchen while my dad started making an early dinner of chicken bolognese trying not to get too nervous about the concert i'd be going to in a few hours

#the nyc concert was last year. LAST YEAR .#thats so insane like yeah that feels like a year ago but good god the insane amount of stuff that has happened since #but god i remember that day so well #it was cloudy and a little rainy in the morning which made me ough thinking it was a bad omen and wouldnt be as fun #and i remember going to library and printing out my silly letters (i should have just. not done that lol)#and on the DAY OF on the way back home from the library #i even bought a cropped black blazer specifically for my concert outfit. havent worn it since lmao #and my dad and i even watched a movie at lunch #a short movie but a movie nonetheless. lol and even then i was like oghh my gosh excitement and nervousness #and then the car service getting there i felt so fancy and as the drive started the clouds were magically dissipating #so that it was a nice clear evening when i got to the theatre #and then all the insanity of the show. god i cant believe it still after all this time. wowie #going to listen to a playlist of the show setlist im gonna get emotional now. guys........#one of my fave memories is how everyone started standing up as they went into so may we start so i was like ok are we all doing this #and stood up too and then stood for the entire rest of the concert. i think the first 3-5 rows were like that for the whole show #surreal and insane i was front row. those guys were REAL and CLOSE #i was also very excited to notice russells new shoes :) when i wasnt like awooga (how i was 99% of the time)#there was one so may we start jump that was well. yeah. front row baby #i think after latte i was like ok i cant film i gotta just vibe #religious experience doing the 'ah ah ah's during that. really interesting #ok im not gonna go through the whole show again but wowie one of my most insane nights. second only to hollywood bowl #wow what a fun year it was. just so many incredible moments #ok yay 💖 happy one year to all that. love those guys so much #spars #ok not actually done beaver o lindy was INSANE LIVE!!! a recent encounter in the wild of a person i used to be friends in primary school, really made me think about how much has changed since then. because that friend is the same as i remember them, in the best meaning of that sentence, and im just. well💀

I had an insane day so instead of talking about that I'm gonna juke left and post some of the pictures of my 3 days so far in the Ice Fog up here in the mountains this week lol, I hate driving in it but it's so beautiful

#bestie mutual you were hoping I was doing ok in the mountains and if you add everything up overall I am #but it's been an Experience having to go into the town that I previously lived miserably in for 8 years then left on very sudden bad terms #to get groceries and run errands and just sort of briefly live life again here that feels surreal and sort of bad lol #but the Fog is healing my soul and as long as I don't get taken by it one morning lol then things are improving #I'm forcing myself to go to all the places here that I have a mental block about still this week to move past that one way or the other #I was so scared to go to my favorite restaurant that I went to with my ex so often that we had out picture on the wall #but the old man who runs it remembered me and gave me a huge hug and told me to come back as often as I could while I'm in town #so besides crying in the parking lot for a while that was wonderful lol #ALSO one of the main reasons I'm here is to pet-sit the cat I rescued at the start of the year that the people here adopted #and she's doing SO WELL and remembers me and sleeps on or beside me every night now and snuggles instead of bites and #it really warms my heart I'm so glad she's not only recovered from what should have been certain death but is thriving
