It can absolutely do the heavy lifting that Rhett's does, pulling trailers and general offroading, but Bob doesn't have much of a reason to do those sorts of things. That pretty little truck is as clean as a whistle, gets a nice handwash every few weeks, and the interior is borderline brand new. Maybe the floor mats have a little mud because Rhett's boots are rarely clean, but he stays pretty on top of it.

Rhett's truck is an entirely different story. He'd love to keep it clean, but it's just not feasible when you work on a ranch five days a week, sometimes six, if someone calls off. Rhett's extremely reluctant to work on luxury brand vehicles. A lot of times, those vehicles have tech that requires special training, and he's very aware of his subpar skill set. He'd rather inconvenience you and take you to the dealership for maintenance than do it by himself and risk fucking up your fancy car.

Bob tries not to play the "I'll never work on this vehicle" card, but he's not a big fan of Nissan's. He went through two in college; one was a money pit full of endless problems, and the transmission failed on the one he got to replace it. Probably bad luck, but he's got a bias against them. Like Rhett, though, he'll suck it up and work on them if the Reader owns one.

Just a question, I don't want to appear rude or anything...

I like your game, really do, but have you considered writing MSPAR as literally anything else than a pathetic little pleb who just can't seem to do a single thing right unless they have some sort of guidance?

I recall they were some kind of God or at least a supernatural entity, weren't they? All that Green Sun bullshit. So then why does majority of the characters treat us like complete trash? Even less than that in extreme cases (cough cough tyzias)

I understand Alternia is harsh or whatever, and they are just pissed at everything that breathes (if a fictional character's feelings are really needed to be taken into consideration) but this just feels like weak writing to me, especially after several volumes. I played both revolution and salvation to see if the treatment of the main character would change, but.....nope!

In og friendsim, they were a dork too, absolutely, but they also had the qualities to stand up for themselves (ie. insulting both Mallek and Galekh, highblood enough to rip us to shreds if they wanted to) but now, all their "personality" revolves around the fact of how trully incapable, pathetic, and weak they are despite the fact template MSPAR wasn't even that hard to stomach. This one on the other hand....

I didn't expect a sequel of a literal meme goldmine to be so negative (again, Alternia is Alternia, ik), even aggressive towards the player in certain moments. I guess winding down while playing was never the idea in the first place? I felt personally attacked by the ooc characters for something I didn't even do lol. If this was your intention, then you did a really good job.

Chickening out made perfect sense in the first volume, new surroundings and a murder to absorb, but as the volumes grew more brutal and savage, it truly makes no sense to keep a main character so mentally weak. I swear, I can't be the only one who is immensely annoyed by this.

But hey, that's just my humble opinion after 35 hours of playtime. Still excited for Marvus ofc

So, I think there's a couple things worth pointing out here - and just to preface this isn't "your take on this is bad and wrong" but more "have you considered this?"

Don't expect this will change your opinion that much, since you clearly put a lot of time into this, but maybe you'll see things in a slightly different light - at the very least, I feel like this is thought-out critique that deserves a response.

First off, and I feel like this is an important baseline to set - we treat MSPAR as a character, not a reader insert. They are being influenced by an outside force, but exist in a kind of weird meta-narrative state where they're kind of also in control of their own personality. While this might not be explicitly stated in FS/PQ, it's definitely the vibe you get from the writing - MSPAR clearly shows a personality separate from the person playing it.

The "god powers MSPAR" is very much the product of the end of Pesterquest, not OG Friendsim. Keep in mind that literally none of the Friendsim characters have seen that side of MSPAR. Also, MSPAR mostly used their god powers to try to fix things for their friends... although there's a path where they're very much condescended to by the narrative itself. But like, Friendsim MSPAR is kind of a sad wet cat - they get hurt a lot and spend a lot of time wandering kind of aimlessly. They're in a lot of situations - and that was our influence moreso than PQ's tone.

The MSPAR that everyone on Alternia knows is basically not the same MSPAR as the end of PQ. Because stuff happened in PQ that none of them are aware of. But they've stepped back into another part of the story and subjected themselves to the influence of other, darker forces (Scratch) by choosing to go back for their other friends so... shit's fucked, man.

The story is intentionally darker in tone that the original Friendsim and Pesterquest - that was an intentional choice, and we know it might not be to everyone's liking. And if you're more in it for the lighter, more humorous vibes of FS/PQ that is completely fair and understandable. Some of that is the result of taking the Alternian world-building in a more serious direction, some of it is to reflect the changing attitudes as characters grow up and fill into their roles in the system more, and some of it is just a difference in writing style. And, like, fully acknowledging that the story gets downright grim at times. Not to say that there aren't darker moments in OG FS - stuff like the bad ending with Nihkee or the stuff with Daraya and the mall - but it is overall a little more humorous.

At it's heart, Friendsim 2 is a story about trauma - both the trauma of Alternia and what it represents, and also the trauma inherent in MSPAR's attempts to deal with the implications of how the timelines work. The trauma is both from MSPAR and from other characters who've interacted with MSPAR. That does inform both how MSPAR responds to stuff (keep in mind they're basically slugging through like a week of time here with very limited rest, just moving from point to point without a strong idea of what's guiding them). But also, it is a story about pushing past that trauma and getting to place where recovery and healing might be possible. And yeah, some of the payoff for that is coming in volumes 12 - 14 so it's not fair to be like "why can't you see this?!" The arc of the story is very much a "start at the bottom and crawl your way up" kind of thing, with moments of triumph along the way (breaking Skylla and Konyyl out in volume 3, helping Chixie in volume 7, helping the rebels in volume 9, freeing Folykl and Kuprum in volume 11)

Idk if I'd say everyone is negative towards MSPAR. Obviously there's some very prominent examples (Tyzias, Polypa) - but that varies from extremely positive (Stelsa, Mallek, Bronya, Lynera) to neutral (Amisia, Tirona, Tegiri) to "we don't remember you" (Diemen, Charun, Fozzer). The balance is probably neutral-to-negative, which was an intentional choice.

The story is about to throw some curveballs at you in volumes 12, 13, and 14 which may or may not influence how you see things. I suspect at least one of these (from volume 13) will probably not be something you vibe with, but a couple might be positives for you.

I really hope that the ultimate conclusion of the game itself helps put some stuff in perspective. The final volume is a way of tying all the threads together in a way that will hopefully feel satisfying - and there's a bunch of ending slides that will show the outcomes of various choices you made along the way, Fallout style.

Anyway, appreciate the well thought-out critique. It sounds like you might have gone in expecting a slightly different story than the one you got - and that's completely fine! Hopefully the last few volumes will prove to be a satisfying send-off - and regardless we appreciate the investment of time and energy into the game!

ik it’s kinda pointless,, but do you ever just sit back and wonder what it would’ve been like if Jessie stuck around? maybe Al’s mom convinced her to stay somehow, I dunno.

I think, it might have made Jessie lowkey resent Al's mama. Bc Jessie is a free spirit she knew she couldn't stay in that town any longer or she'll go insane.

She also said she didn't want Seth to be top gossip letting people say how Seth is the product of a unhappy marriage. Or he was made to fix their relationship, not even counting if Jessie was even married to his dad. You know how town's like that gossip about a family they all know is not fully okay behind closed doors.

I think if she also did stayed maybe Seth's dad wouldn't have became a drunk. But he could have still drank a bit causing arguments with him and Jessie. I really don't see her being a good stay at home mom so she'd have a job. I can see her trusting Al's family to look after Seth when both parents are at work.

Personally I think this would mess with Jessie mentally, like her spirit would get worn out not doing things SHE wants to do. Being chained to a town that still talks about her because she told everyone she was high tailing it out of there the first chance she got. Now look at her; unhappy in a marriage, can't cook right, and everyone, even Seth can tell she's unhappy. Seth's dad would ignore this to keep HIM happy.

I think it was lowkey better that Jessie left. As fucked as it is Seth would have had her on his side if his dad did anything but there would be LOTS of arguing and Seth would just end up back with Al's parents. His house isn't a home, never was and his mama is unhappy he remembers her laughter but now it sounds forced when an older lady who knew her when she was younger talks how she 'finally isn't a wild child anymore' and is now 'a respectful lady'.

Jessie knew the risk she was going to make leaving Seth behind. He'd have a stable home with his dad staying in one place and not moving around making him learn how to make new friends on a whim and getting use to not fully connecting with someone. Hc that Jessie's family moved a lot when she was younger and didn't want that for her kid. She def though she'd meet a man who would let her travel but keep her family in one place. Maybe she could have had a job that traveled, but sadly that wasn't the case for her.

Since Denny is a smart little guy AND a fan of makeups and such I feel like he'd end up working in a nice company with tech and then being a makeup artist as a hobby! If I should give him an alternative route, the artist part would be his main career. As for personality, traumas and etc, I do believe he visits a therapist at some point after his parents wake up to reality and notice that hey, maybe our son having scars on his stomach and being overly scared of girls and his own mom AND overly kind isn't so normal!!! So they basically force him to go visit a psychologist. Sucks at first but his psychologist is a super nice guy and it ends up working :]

Scar... oof- it's a hard one- because at the same time that he can get over the drugs, it already affected his body A LOT, so whatever happens he's not reaching 50. Anyway throwing that totally useless info aside, he's still a funny guy but now more aware of the shit he went through, what got him less hyper and trying to "fix himself" sort of way. His moms escape from the country and he's receiving help from Jack + having a closer relationship, and for a job I didn't really decided on that yet. BUT something I did decided is that he's gonna have a girlfriend and she's always there to support Scar <3

Theo.... one route he fucking DIES, other one he turns into the new cult leader, and the other he finally gets his good ending, you decide. In the first one he ends up dying thanks to the deformation on his stomach at some point, the one he turns into the new cult leader is incase Skiddad is defeated, somehow dies or simply decides to trust Theo for it for whatever reason, and the good ending happens incase the cult is fully defeated. In the good ending him and that,, mouth thing interacts more and he has more control over it, he gets a job as a teacher in a few schools AND HAS A HUSBAND!! This one is like, 100% confirmed, good ending Theo has a husband who always reassures him that he can always leave, nothing is forcing him to stay, but he does anyway by free choice because he loves Theo very much <333 also maybe perhaps maybebebrfkd them adopting a kid..

Ripping animations to help with some basic expression work was..... it was an adventure.

The first image above is an attempt to blend Marth's "surprise" and "smile" faces together but I uh...... Hit the wrong setting in the dropdown. I nearly died from laughing too hard pff.

The Alears there are what happens when you import the characters face rigs with different settings (still screaming at myself for that one) and then try to use a facial expression from one of them on the other one of them. That was supposed to be an :0 face.

The FEH players among you may have recognized the setting of that piece as the scenery for S supports in FEH! Figured if I'm setting the scene in Askr anyway I may as well go for the cheekiest spot. :P

While it probably would've looked great if I'd modelled all that out, after the effort that went into getting the character models looking good I really just did Not have it in me to do that, so this scenery is... A complete and utter lie made of layered image planes.

This was part of why I opted to crank the depth of field so much in the final piece. Helps hide that everything aside from the guys themselves are crusty PNGs. :P It does a half-decent job of looking like a 3D scene even in motion though, so long as you don't rotate the camera TOO far.

I REALLY liked how these close shots of Marth and Alear for the first pose turned out, but in the end I didn't think they fit with the other two poses. There was a timeline where I modified the expressions a bit and made fake dialogue boxes where they're talking about how surprised and happy they are they can actually touch each other in Askr, but I didn't feel confident enough to write in their voices for that.. So in the final shots that story just gets to be implied in their poses and expressions instead.

For the hug shot, I feel it is important to reveal that Alear's head is clipping halfway into Marth's shoulder and armour there. It's fine though. Animate for the camera, professionals always say! If it isn't gonna be viewed from every angle it doesn't have to look good from every angle. :P

Engage renders their characters' eyelashes and eyebrows ABOVE their hair, no matter what, in order to help the readability of facial expressions. I wanted to stay true to that look, so I had to render their eyebrows and eyelashes separately and then combine them in post. Enjoy eyelash-free Marth and Alear. :P

You can also see some areas there where I had to manually fix some shading and outlines in post, too. Blender has a bug with rigging right now that was affecting the face shading in odd ways, so I painted over that; and the inverse hull method I've been using for most of the outlines is very much imperfect and needed touching up in some areas, lips especially.

Since these character rigs were.......... We'll say not intended for use in Blender, they were fairly tedious to get posed right. No rotation or location constraints. These were joint-only rigs with no connections between bones so you couldn't use the auto-IK feature to, say move the whole arm at once. (Which made hand posing the WORST THING EVER AAAA EVERY FINGER JOINT MOVES INDIVIDUALLY why did i pick TWO poses where hands were a critical component)

Part of my process ended up being doing rough sketches of what the final shots were going to be first, so I could keep in my head what sort of poses and expressions and camera angles I was going for. And by rough I mean ROUGH. I kept laughing looking at these little egg head guys for reference as I worked.

Engage's models also come with some "extraneous" bones; "piv" bones that I can't figure out what they do, spots where weapons and shields can snap to, "vol" bones for changing the thickness of specific body parts as defined in the big XML file of character proportions buried in the game. Unfortunately these bones overlap the actual posing joints in many cases, so until you get fed up enough to find and hide them all, you'll try to move the character around and end up doing shit like this by accident

(Me too Marth, idk what the hell his skeleton is doing either)

And as you may have noticed - no particle effects in these behind the scenes shots so far! That's because I both A) couldn't for the life of me figure out how to do that smoke effect, and B) couldn't render a particle system with anywhere NEAR the number of objects I would need to get a similar look to the game. So, I drew those in post! Shoutouts to the random sparkle and smoke brushes in my collection, you're the real ones.

on the episode when they get too creative they start using meat and organs to 'decorate' and be creative with (red puts glitter on a heart) so something did die, duck also dies twice, once by the veggie can (eats his insides) and he literally dies, red is supposed to die in a lake, yellow has almost died multiple times, like the episode with warren, yellow dad kills and eats an entire family of 4, they all kill warren with that spear thing and they also insult him, electracy my beloved almost dies due to power overload, and briefcase, tony (clock) veggie can, and the train man all die(all but train man die from the same guy), duck kills a bread child in the family episode, coffin possibly dies due to yellow getting duck, and stain Edwards is killed by duck in the same episode

2 teachers

I personally think the teachers are for keeping the trio entertained and educated along with making it seem like a children's show, because Lesley is at the very top of the house so she runs the show, being able to see everyone and all. She's got replacements for if they die or go missing (like the transport episode or the death episode. Also the eat healthy episode), I think the teachers are also there to keep an eye on them, like how tony is always watching in the living room, or in the family episode they teach them not to leave each other (stay In the house), or even the lamp who is in their room. also the death episode seems a bit odd plan because he doesn't teach too much and also puts them in emotional distress. Like how yellow can't let go and red makes a replacement that is later on killed. And coffin seems more annoyed and just wants to do his job as a coffin. No matter how bad things are they usually resolve themselves or the episode ends and Lesley fixes everything

3 trio dynamic

Red is 100% the father figure out of the 3 of them, he helps clean, has the recliner chair, and has the most common sense, he also drives in the transport episode (probably cause he's the only one who can reach the pedals) red also tries to make sure everyone gets along, when yellow breaks something Duck yells at him for being stupid and red steps in and yells at him for speaking like that to yellow because he said he wouldn't anymore, meaning red must have talked to duck about being mean to yellow and going easy on him, most likely because he isn't the sharpest tool on the shed (the episode does end in a fight between the 3 of them but still) Duck is kind of like the grumpy old man/husband (fluffybird yes ik) he's usually reading the newspaper and has a short temper with everyone except Colin who is nice to him and sometimes red. Duck finds the comedy in most situations and tries to take charge, he can't live without red and yellow even if he is really rude to them both, he teases red for being jealous of him being dead and he very obviously misses them in the family episode because he's the first to go. He is relived when red comes back but acts like he isn't. He also isn't mean to yellow when he brings him back from coffin and enjoys his time in the house relaxing and watching TV. Yellow is 110% the autistic son. He is very much like a child due to his old batteries and his neglectfully father who he still loves. His father probably forgot to change his batteries after a while and because he's a shitty person who lives in the walls he doesn't care. Assuming Roy (father) uses batteries too he may have become an alcoholic or drug user of some point and let his batteries go bad, maybe even before yellows went bad and yellow might have been too young to know how to replace them so he also became like Roy. Roy only speaks in grunts and noises so his must be worse than yellows. Yellow must also have gotten used to his batteries faster than his dad or just had to adapt to stay with the other 2 because when electracy has his batteries she becomes unstable along with the power overload.

4 Lesley

She's the attic dwelling mother. There are hints to her existence before the electricity episode, in the transport episode the licence plate and names on transport man are all Lesley, showing that she 'owns' the teachers in some way, like their figures in the dollhouse. I don't remember what episode it is exactly but there is one where red finds a ripe of device that controls what teachers pop up and what they do, Roy does find red back there so either Roy controls the teachers or Lesley does and Roy just watches. Also I think it's before the electricity episode but the opening scene with the house where it spins it shows a gloves hand winding up the house so it turns on and spins. In the attic when yellow finds Lesley you can see her gloved hands playing the piano with the house on top. She has all these items on display from other episodes and has lots of figures of the trio. When yellow tries to help and puts a duck figure down its head falls off, either referencing to the death episode where duck kills stain Edwards by chopping his head off or it's because only Lesley can put the puppets down.

5 the family theory

When Lesley and yellow meet in the attic she yells at him for not being his real son. Which means Roy would be her husband/ex husband/child father because Roy is yellows dad. There are lots of theories about this, like how yellow and Roy could be her dead family and to cope she kidnaped 4 people to make a semi family and decided to teach them for her own entertainment or to make her child happy, a dad and 2 friends/family members. Some people think that Lesley made the trio but there are multiple missing posters shown and the dates June 19-20 are shown which must be their kidnaping date. And for the dollhouse/dolls in the attic maybe Lesley is some sort of half being, she could have sold her soul to be this sort of puppeteer role to keep them all alive for whatever reasons she may have

It is with her head bowed that she greets the man, hands clasped to her chest. It feels different to approach him now, when the flames of battle have relented and the world around them has gone silent.

"I must ask your forgiveness," her voice is soft, though she does not gaze up towards him, "I could not protect you, in the end."

Her hands fall and she inhales slowly, letting her shoulders rise and fall before she speaks once more.

"But I owe you my thanks just as well," amethyst gaze turns towards him finally, "we were only able to make it so far because of your strength."

Ike shakes his head. It isn't her job to protect him. He doesn't need any sort of apology for this.

He doesn't know her outside of this but he senses the sorrow in her nonetheless. It makes him uncomfortable though not from any fault of her own. The sort of sadness that runs that deep always has him itching to try and fix it. But he won't force his help on her. Trying to throw himself against the world's problems isn't going to fix them.

Still he looks at her with compassion in his gaze. Tentatively he rests a hand on her shoulder. They've fought together now, that makes them companions of a sort.

"Nothing to forgive. Come on. Let's just give it our best shot next time okay? It hurt...but it was only training. I'd have gone down much faster without you there so I owe you for that."

I'm sorry we have to deal with this; I figured the quicker we can put things together, the quicker we can all return to mourning. Losing Tristan and Gin -clears his throat- puts a massive hole in the community; may their souls rest in peace. It also leaves two roles needing to be filled which is why I called everyone here. I believe it's only necessary to move Jemma to Gin's position with how much time she's spent as an apprentice. As for the Council position, I personally vote David as a candidate.

David Alexander -while stoically remaining silent about all of this, David is wrapping his head around everything that happened. So much so that he hasn't really grasped why he was asked here. Losing two friends was dredging up feelings he was not all that keen on reliving. He silently listens to Ermano and when he mentions David he sits up a bit straighter as everything clicks- Wait, what?

Alright. Let's get this goddamn Skyrim headcannon going shall we? For all my characters and my partners character... Let's get into it. Most of the beginning is at helgen but some are different. If I change it... I'll be updating. now this is for my own sanity but ik someone will enjoy it. And yes... I haven't removed dragon born status from most and the stormcloaks saw victory in this as all these characters are connected. This post is for our heroes (well... Some may be debated)

Ilnehm- The dunmer mage

Ilnehm is around 28-30 years old. She's around 5'9 and her eyes are a whitish color instead of the typical read due to the sheer power she has in Magicka. Follows Azura and her ways as well as hermaeus mora. Typically in the daedric plate armor or ebony plate. Is an honorary Telvanni mage due to the help with Neloth. Knows even the dragon shouts you can't learn in game. Ends up with Tiberius

Arriving at Helgen was something she never anticipated. On her way back from an ingredient run, she never thought she'd be taken into custody for just being at the wrong place at the wrong time. The man who was going thru the list didn't even have her name even felt sympathetic to her. Eventually landing in the line of the headsman to be killed, alduin attacked. She wasn't having this. She burned her binds amidst the chaos and escaped. Continuing her work as a mage and studying independently to working up to be the best Spell Sword she could be. Ending up helping the college, she ended up taking Savos Arens place as the Arch Mage. When the war started getting worse and seeing her dunmer people suffering in windhelm, she joined the imperial army. Having a custom helmet hiding her identity, she didn't want many to know bout her. The tide of war ended up in favor of the stormcloaks. She ended up hiding away at the college. But some unexpected things happened....

Ajani- the Sneaky Readguard

Ajani is about 5'10 in height and around 30 or so years old. He is known as "The Man with the Golden Eyes" and is a charmer. He is a follower of Nocturnal and is both an Assassin and a Thief. Married to Ysolda who isn't so innocent herself, he's able to get away with many things. He is duel bladed.

It was the end of the line. The law had finally caught up with him, well not in the way he'd thought but it did. The Imperial ambush wasn't pleasant but by the time he had reached the the town, he had accepted death. But like everyone that day, alduin had saved them all in a way. In the mess of the chaos, he was able to maneuver himself to get his binds to the front of him and have a sharp rock cut it. Man it felt good to be back. He had to be careful on the way back to riften... Guards were always patrolling these days. Back at the guild, issues were stirring... Mercer Frey... And on top same with the brotherhood. Both issues had him busy. but when both were resolved, he decided to play the hand of the war. There was legend of the mystical "Jagged Crown" that the imperials wanted and where preparing to get. Oh how it would look beautiful next to the crown of barenziah they had. So that was his job... Get the crown. That part was easy... But even then the brotherhood had one on top... Killing Titus mede. He was in for a challenge. He had to be methodical.... (I haven't fully fixed this one yet but here it is)

Uzoma- The Giant Of the Battlefield

Uzoma is tall. Like TALL. he's 7'1 and has custom weapons to compensate for this. He is a redguard and has been a captain in holds as well as accompanied Tullius And Rikke at the summit held by the Greybeards. He lost vision in his left eye due to a knife attack when he was just a regular soldier. Married to Mercurio

Helgen had reached uzoma late. The news was 4 days old to him. And in that time he was recalled back to castle dour to be put at a new fort for the new bloods joining... That is of course until he was to be reassigned again. However, how did he join the legion? Well... He had lost his family as a teen and ended up travito cyrodiil. Joining the guard, he met his brother in arms, Azireth. Both rose thru and joined the army. It was all quiet until torygg was killed. That's when he made it to Skyrim and continually rising the ranks to a legate. But to continue, he was based in fort Amol, then by Tullius and rikke's side. The war raged. Worrying his lover with the battles... The war has soon ended with a crushing defeat outside of solitude. Tullis and Rikke gone... He retired... Or so he had thought. Tiberius was a suspicious one to him. Only then finding out about his bloodline being royal, uzoma pledged allegiance and protection to Tiberius to retake Skyrim and bring it back.

Azireth- The all-rounder Captian

Azireth is definitely shorter than his brother in arms uzoma... Only at 5'11. But he is one to be feared with use of poisons and destruction magic paired with his sword craft. Married to the mercenary Jenassa, after the war until he was killed in another battle, he ran a farm and hunted.

Azireth was stationed in the gloomy falkwreath when he saw the notorious black dragon fly over. He knew things would be worse before they got better. When off from duty he would hunt and farm... And of course help Jenassa. Azireth and uzomas story are close. But azireth joined in the taking back of Skyrim later... And had an untimely demise with the last siege Tiberius had planned...

Fenrir Foxfang- Stormcloak with a Redemption arc

Strong devotions to Talos lead him down this path which only depressed him. But with Tiberius showing him mercy and helping him redeem himself, he changed and swore allegiance. Average height at about 6'1, he's your Nord man of the woods. Married to Breylyna.

Yea he probably shouldn't have started beating up those thalmor justiciar... But they were trying to take him in for Talos worship. That's how he ended up beside ralof and Ulfric himself. He didn't want to die. But seeing that bitch of a thalmor in helgen made him even madder. Maybe the Stormcloaks had a point. He should be free to worship who he wanted. When the alduin came, he escaped with ralof and made his way out with him and decided to get sign up with the stormcloaks as soon as he could. Quickly rising, he was a hardened warrior. But by the end, he saw Ulfric for who he was... But he couldn't just say it. Hell he was the one who beheaded Tullius with Ulfric and galmar egging him on. That's when he realized something wasn't right, especially what Tullius had said bout the thalmor. After that battle he settled out into his home in the swamp and tundra of morthal... Where he began to evaluate his life. He hung up his armor and thought deeply. He had decided to go to the college in winterhold and find some knowledge there... Since Ulfric was worried about the moot... He there met breylyna... Whom he then courted for awhile. And then married her. He had found some happiness. Then chaos... Ulfric was angered. The jagged crown had gone missing. It was originally in castle dour but now gone. Fenrir hid away. Weeks he stayed low-key, hunting and foraging... Until one day when he was chopping wood and breylyna milking the cow, Tiberius had approached. Fenrir wasn't happy about that and they fought shortly. Fenrir was then asked if he would fight again, this time against Ulfric...this was his second chance and by Talos he wasn't throwing it away...

Aesirya- The Plant

Average height of a high elf. Aesirya is the empires spy in the thalmor watch. She's been to both places and on patrol. She's able to sneak stuff out and in due to her trust amongst the thalmor.

Trained in espionage, she was originally going to be a mage at the guild in cyrodiil when the white gold concordat was put in place. With her loyalty to the Empire, she offered herself to infiltrate the ranks of the Thalmor. From there was able to rise up and be a justiciar and other things. They had tabs on everyone. When the war broke out in Skyrim, it was crucial for her to get info. The war was working in the thalmors eyes anyway... But when the news came f a problematic Nord halfling, she was on that. Tiberius sepim...or so he thought... No... He was the descendant of the septim dynasty. She had sent that to uzoma who made Tullius aware... They had to keep him safe at all costs.

Tiberius- the Lost Hier

I don't have too much on him as he is my partners character... But he is a descendant of the Septim Dynasty and the heir to the throne. He ends up leading two successful rebellions and brings back unity.

Antagonist list and bigger story in the future. I will make a masterpost for this.

The...the devs admitted to killing Ysayle because they didn't know what to do with her? We were denied Scion Ysayle because they figured the best way to handle being at a loss for her was to kill her off?????????

Y e a h. And there's a bit more to it when you look at some of the behind-the-scenes stuff beyond her, but yeah that was it. Instead of shelving her for later (like they did with Estinien), they just killed her. Despite talking about how she qualified as a scion and would be a good ally, and despite all of her present relevancy especially with Thavnair and Vrtra. Estinien is a good enough example of how they saved a male character for later, but they went further and killed Zenos but brought him back through - need I remind - the Echo (ik his is a resonance but regardless), which Ysayle had, and kept him around for two more expansions (more minor in one, but regardless he lived longer than she did).

The devs did this to Yotsuyu, as well, but the thing about Ysayle that makes this one so telling is that she is one of three characters designed by the same person to die one after the other; those being Moenbryda and Haurchefant, who were all designed by Natsuko Ishikawa, the writer of the rog/nin & drk job quests, the Doman half of Stormblood, and MSQ for Shadowbringers and Endwalker. She - as the only main female writer on the team - has gone on record saying that the deaths of those three in quick succession felt targeted. And out of those three, it's only Haurchefant that gets to remain relevant, has a permanent grave, gets emotes and allusions to him, and DSR is centered around saving him (while Ysayle is alive by consequence) because Yoshi-P likes him. Sections where Oda takes over (eg parts of post-stb involving Yotsuyu and Tsuyu) plus the post-arr to hvw stuff is where it's really clear something went fucky here. They have stated they didn't know what to do with Ysayle, but her death in conjunction with Moenbryda's - as both were designed by Ishikawa - along with their lack of acknowledgement in story reeks a deeper level of sexism on the devs' parts.

So, yeah. She's dead because:

The devs didn't know what to do with her, so they just killed her off - had she been a man, she would've just been shelved (like Estinien)

It seems to be something personal as she's the third of Ishikawa's characters to die immediately after introduction, especially since the only man in the group gets tons of focus while Ysayle and Moenbryda are sidelined constantly

It's only during content written by Ishikawa that we see allusions and direct references to Ysayle (and Moenbryda) and it feels like the devs are trying to ignore what they did and just move right along. If the fucking Resonant and what that Sahagin priest did to stay as a soul and around could keep Zenos and a Sahagin Priest alive, then there's no excuse with Ysayle. And I'm saying this as someone who is actively writing a fix-it fic tackling many of the aspects of her character that they just left unresolved and unexplored - like this isn't even getting into the fact that Estinien has had 4 different stories going into his background and where he's been this whole time, while Ysayle's only story was just a beat for beat rehash of her death scene.

Also, as I feel it needs to be said since this Is tumblr: my bringing up any male characters is not a condemnation for anyone Liking said characters. Estinien's one of my favs in this game, but the guy was wrapped in death flags and he's still around as of 6.4?

Some gold he managed to pickpocket from some rich people, matching bracelet with Valen that he broke and still hasn't fixed (he says he keeps it there as a reminder to do so), and a bunch of pocket sand in his back pocket that he'd probably throw at Andros or smth JFDSKLF. He talks to Julian too much :/

How quick is your character to trust someone else?

An average amount of time? He doesn't have trust issues, really, but he's not giving it out to just anyone. He takes his time getting to know people and seeing if there's any connection before deeming them trustworthy. But he doesn't have to like someone for him to trust them (ex. he doesn't like Kaidan all that much but he trusts him to keep Valen safe).

If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others?

He's usually more of a "shit happens" kinda guy so neither, I guess. He does have his moments of pondering if he deserved being condemned from his homeland and everything beyond that. But he knows logically that he doesn't, he's a good man.

Describe a scenario in which your character feels most uncomfortable.

Hmm. I can't think of specific scenarios but I can list some things that make him uncomfortable ig? fjdskl. He's not a fan of confrontation, especially if it gets heated. He also has a hard time admitting when he's wrong and has made a mistake but isn't above it.

Hakon:

Is your character’s current socioeconomic status different than it was when they were growing up?

Yeah, definitely. Hakon grew up fairly poor with little access to a proper education, and he was often doing any labor job he could get his hands on to help ends meet. But now as the vestige and a very well renowned mercenary, he has quite the income and is incredibly well-off financially.

In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?

Being kidnapped by the Worm Cult and having his soul stolen by Mannimarco 😭. Someone being able to knock out and lug his giant ass around to do that ritual is unsettling as is but then waking up totally helpless while some emo mf (who happens to be your bestie's idol) rips your soul out of your body before sending you to Coldharbor to get tortured for who knows long would be terrifying to most.

What is your character’s biggest relationship flaw? Has this flaw destroyed relationships for them before?

He has SO many issues, oh my god. But he haaaaaates being doted on/taken care of or anything of the sort. He can't stand it. It makes him feel weak and useless which can definitely seem ridiculous and maybe it is, but he's spent much of his life having the fact that he needs to be a provider and caregiver and that he can't be weak drilled into his mind. So it can be a struggle to maintain balance with him in that regard. Idk if it's destroyed any relationships but it definitely causes problems. He gets better as time goes on.

What was your character’s favorite toy as a child?

He didn't have many toys but he was fond of a teddy bear his mother got for him. Definitely went with him everywhere when he was little and he probably named it something simple like fluffy. It's long gone by now though.

ig it goes without saying that i really liked ryuuto's route♥ ik i've been screaming throughout it all BUT there's one particular thing that made me appreciate it so much more, simpery aside-

reaching the end specially, i liked the fact that ryuuto started to realize by himself that cordelia isn't what he's after, with little intervention from yui and the power of love (?) i mean, yes, there is some of that, but i feel like ryuuto's realization wasn't only due to yui's intervention when it comes to accept that as a fact, especially when she's literally not there 😭. but yui's kindness naturally got to him, he was just so focused on what he planned; if i were to dig deeper, it's like ryuuto realized that his wants were driven by his childhood/younger mentality only, which is why i'm so glad that he realized that it wasn't going to be any different now that he's grown up, after seeing the patterns and the pain he went through. i love that he realized by himself and undid things himself and killed and !!! yes !!! go off king!!!!! 🛐🛐🛐

Im really glad you noticed that! I didn't want it to too heavily focused on Yui "falling in love and fixing Ryuuto", especially not over one single route >< Instead, it works so much nicer for him imo if his character development comes from within moreso. The shift between being solely focused on Cordelia in his Dark, then his transition into getting to know Yui on a deeper level that really challenges all he knows with Cordelia in Maniac, and his internal decisions between whether he wants a repeat of his past where he feels comfortable, or a fresh albeit scary start with Yui in Ecstasy is HUGE 😩😭
