      [Alastair's] main excuse is to escape the unfortunate reality of his sister and James being glued to each other’s sides, and engaging in what he refers to as an “unhealthy amount of canoodling”.       ‘This is what happens when the Herondales are the hosts, I suppose,’ Alastair stated in dire tones late one night, completed with a fabulous scowl. ‘They allow for inappropriate acts to be performed under their noses.’       ‘And what of the noses of my parents?’ Thomas rebutted. ‘Imagine their faces upon discovering the polite and charming Alastair Carstairs sneaking about in the night and taking residence in their son’s bedroom. I daresay Cordelia is not the only Carstairs performing inappropriate acts.’       He had gotten a swat on his arm for the comment, and they needed to stifle their laughs in fear of waking everyone up. They have yet to be caught, though Thomas imagines there is a very low chance of it happening, least of all by Sophie and Gideon Lightwood. Not when their attention is elsewhere, for obvious reasons.

Adore Vasso and Laursen so far. Vasso really looks like the type of character to lead an eldritch cult in a Call of Cthulhu game- the highest of praise. I'm looking forward to seeing Laursen breaking that himbo façade to remind everyone that he is also and unhinged eldritch cultist.

I'm so happy that everybody likes these colonists!! I was worried the colonists of Eureka in my last playthrough might have set the bar too high, haha. So far, everyone seems to enjoy Vasso and Laursen, though. I'm sure you'll love Bella, too, if she ever does anything noteworthy enough for me to draw.

I can't wait to see what horrible unhinged cult stuff Laursen will get up to! It's going to feel a lot more unhinged coming from him, I think, because of the himbo façade

14. How does your Tav feel about the city?

Oh, Vierna loves the city! Growing up, visiting Baldur's Gate was her biggest dream, and what she thought would be the adventure of a lifetime. She's so excited to be able to finally visit it, though the excitement is tempered somewhat, since her first visit to the city is also the day when she gets taken by the nautiloid. She, uh, has a bit of a meltdown when she comes back to the city again in act 3. Poor baby girl. But, once she gets over that, she finally has a chance to explore the city to her heart's content, and that's very exciting for her.

29. What advice would you give to your Tav?

I would tell her to believe in her own abilities more. She has a really good head on her shoulders, but she spends far too long hanging back and letting other people make (objectively worse) decisions without trying to change things. People get hurt because of it, and, while that's not her fault, and she knows that, it's still something she carries with her for a long time.
