I should start off that he and Pico's mom were in their early twenties when they had Pico. Why I mention this? Because he, by netherworld demon standards, IS still in his twenties. So he looks more like his son's twin instead of his father. His wife on the other hand has actually aged noticeably over the years due to her being human and all.

If you're wondering, yes, this has often cause confusion among people over the latter years. So many folks had mistook him for as his son's twin that it's pretty much a running gag at this point. Fortunately magic and non-humans are a thing in this universe; he doesn't say he's a demon since uh his kind is rather different than the ones in that universe are but he DOES say he does have some minor lineage of his side of the family that make it so he's stronger and more long-lived than normal humans. Which is also a thing in this universe too so the cover works. Still doesn't stop him from often needing some help from his wife to prove he's telling the truth lol

Oh and I know I probably said this before but my Pico's dad is nothing like Matthew. He might be considered a bit worrisome by human standards if only because uh haha this dork often forgets that certain things that would be normal and ok in netherworld demon society wouldn't be so in human society (like for example him wanting to slaughter this creep who wouldn't stop creeping on his wife, even saying yes to little Pico if he could help, only for him to get bonk on the head by his wife who had to pulled them aside to try her best to explain why he and their son cannot do that. Both him and lil Pico listened in the end but they were both very grumpy afterwards) but overall is a good man despite the hiccups.

Hell, you wanna know how he'd react if he were to have another child but unplanned like how Morgana was? Well, he'd admittedly be unsure at first and will talk things through with his wife if only cuz netherworld kids require a LOT of attention especially since even at young age they're ridiculously strong and durable and uhm prone to accidental destruction at times not kidding about that last bit btw

but anyway getting back on track Pico's dad would've accepted the other child if his wife wanted it. So uh for him to learn about what Matthew had done? He'd be very upset on their behalf. Murderously so. His wife will need to step in to talk him down because this man will go out to find Matthew and slaughter him. Yes that might seem ridiculous for him to go do this since your Pico isn't actually his but, well, it wouldn't exactly be too unusual within netherworld demon society. I HAD mentioned netherworld demon's sense of morality is rather odd at times y'know so you can say this is another good insight to that lol I'd also like to add if your Pico and those of his family were to step in to talk him down then he'd listen. He'd be very dumbfounded at them doing this because why wouldn't you want that fucking bastard dead after everything he had done to all of you??? but he'd eventually albeit very reluctantly back down. He'll definitely be grumpy about it for awhile though lol

Man, what a title Huh? Anyways, this will obviously go over the characters and not the content creators, because in some cases those are vastly different

Also, before we start, I will go over an important thing that I will mention probably a few times, and that is the difference between Hufflepuff Loyalty and Slytherin Loyalty.

Both of these houses value loyalty, but in very different ways. Take for example that you’re a spy who has their best friend as their partner, and you’re out on some super important mission. Let’s also say that your partner got shot and is close to death, and the only way to save them would be to abandon the mission entirely.

A Hufflepuff would try to complete the mission because it would be the best for all, while the Slytherin would abandon the mission despite the fact that it could result in countless deaths, just to save their friend.

See it as Selfish Loyalty vs Selfless loyalty. Both are great things to have, but are still different.

I have seen people try to argue that this boy is a Hufflepuff because of his loyalty and such, but gosh darnit everyone this child is a god damn Gryffindor. I mean, one of his main character traits is that he’s brash and too brave for his own good. The reason he got fucking exiled is because he burned down George’s house without thinking of the consequences, and then just screamed at Dream without thinking of the consequences. The same goes for Ghostbur’s “death”, it was because he had no real plan except Stab Dream with an axe. So yeah, Gryffindor

This one is tricky, because it’s really between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw for me. Like, he does possess the Hufflepuff loyalty™ plus he is very kind, but he’s also one of the more logical and observant characters we have in this server (The bar is very low let me tell ya). But I think I will have to go with Ravenclaw, just because like, the boy invented nukes. He built fucking nukes. So yeah, a very chaotic Ravenclaw that will spout bee facts at you, be prepared

Honestly, Slytherin. I mean, they are ambitious as fuck, both shown by them betraying L’Manburg for the throne, but also by working hard towards their redemption arc. They are also a good leader of the smp, and in general a great role model to have

Nikki Nihachu

This one is actually difficult, simply because Nikki has gone through quite the character arc the past couple of months. She started out kind, sweet and loyal, a classic Hufflepuff. Then she joined the syndicate and straight up tried to kill a child, which is less Hufflepuff but who am I to judge. But in her core, as seen through her discussion with Jack about Tommy’s revival, she is still a good person that works hard for what she believes in, wants the best for everyone (Despite sometimes working in her best self interest) remains kind through it all. So yeah, Nikki is a Hufflepuff, just a bit of a sadistic one. But we can’t all be perfect ya know?

Fun Jonathan Michael Vincent Georgina James Sus Dy Soot

Ah, my favorite character, and also one of the best examples of a Ravenclaw. And I ain’t saying that just cuz I’m a Ravenclaw, Fundy is one of the most Ravenclaw characters out there. He’s creative, Clever, Spontaneous, Witty, Curious, Sharp, and a real trickster. The idea of Ravenclaws being the goody two shoes kids that always does their school work is just false, we never do our Homework and instead sit and read about things we find interesting, and Fundy is a good example of that. Also he was quite the eager learner during the Dreamon Hunters arc, which again is a good example of a Ravenclaw. So if Ranboo is the by the book Hufflepuff, then Fundy is the by the book Ravenclaw.

Dreamwastaken

I’m pretty sure it’s confirmed that Dream is actually a Slytherin, and I ain’t arguing with that. This boy is cunning, sly, a leader, traditional, Self-Preserving, and a master with words. There is not much more to say here, apart from the fact that Slytherins main colour is literally green, so it all checks out, this boy is a snake.

George Lore

Mr not found over here really is hard to pinpoint down, simply because his main character trait is his apathy, which isn’t really a trait for any of the houses. I was discussing this one with my girlfriend, and both of us were pretty clueless of what to do with him. I was thinking if Hufflepuff since they take the ones that don’t fit anywhere else, but then I was reminded of the most recent Dream XD stream, which showed us one thing, and that is that George is clever, observant, and Sharp Minded, all the traits of a Ravenclaw. Sure, he could also be Slytherin as he was both cunning and sly as well, but I think Ravenclaw fits him more personally.

Sappitus Nappitus Boyhalo

Finally we have another Gryffindor, there’s been a serious lack of them on the list. My man is a fighter, he’s bold, he’s brave, he’s passionate, he’s confident, and he doesn’t really think that much of the consequences of his actions (Cough the pet war cough), so yeah this boy a lion.

Punz

Ah, Punzie, the mercenary themself. Tbh, I know very little about them because Punz don’t get involved that much in lore unless they are hired for something. I mean, they were in the eggpire, but even then they were barely involved, which is sad cuz I like Punz. But what we have seen of Punz is that they are someone who does not care about you or what you want, as long as you pay them. They are power hungry and self preserving, which means that I have to put them in Slytherin.

Jack Thunder1408 TV Manifold

The boy who I can’t help but be sympathetic towards. Jack is also a hard character to pin point because of the reason that he’s gone through quite the development. Jackie boy is a very broken character that has literally been through hell, so it’s hard to properly sort him. He’s quite confident and clever, yet cunning and resourceful, so for me it’s either Slytherin or Gryffindor. But I do lean towards Gryffindor more, partly because of his stubbornness and gullibility, and part because of all the fire imagery that’s associated with him. I mean, the cc described him as burning inside, he’s been through the scape of fire and death, and he burnt his nation to the ground. In case you didn’t know, Fire is the element of Gryffindor, so yeah, another red and gold boy.

JSchlatt

Schlatt is as both charming, charismatic and calm in the early days, using subtle manipulation tactics to get his way and achieve ultimate power. He’s ambitious, narcissistic, cunning, and tyrannical, while still hiding it all behind a facade of smiles and waves. He could also be both cruel and irresponsible at times, aka the time he had an underage child drink during an event, but ya know, mistakes. So all in all, I think it’s pretty clear that he’s a Snakey boy.

QuackityHQ

As much as I love CC!Quackity, I also fucking hate him because of the many, many different directions he’s taken this character which makes it possible for him to fit in literally any of the houses. The duckie is both Chaotic and lawful, he’s both friendly and hostile, he’s a smart cookie and a fucking dumbass, so like bruh. But, I’m gonna have to go with how he is now, which is manipulative, power hungry, cruel, and strong willed. Aka, another Slytherin.

Karl Jacobs

Finally, a character that is not broken down to the point of barely making out a readable personality. Karl is a kind and funny person, who is very open to new people considering how often he gives tours to visitors and new people, and he is quite literally loosing himself traveling through time in an attempt to help people. Hufflepuff

Awesamdude

This one I know will be controversial, but I’m saying Hufflepuff on him. Sam is one of the best cases of the Hufflepuff loyalty, literally letting both Tommy and Ghostbur be stuck and ultimately die in the prison just so he wouldn’t risk Dream breaking out. Before that point he was very kind and gentle towards Tommy, literally building a robot to keep him safe and take care of him. Sam nook is a reflection of Sam’s feelings towards Tommy, and they are kind and gentle.

Dropsbyponk

Ughhhh, another tough one. Ponk is a chaotic being who is mostly neutral in conflicts, but is shown to be very open about their feelings towards those they care about, like Sam or Foolish. They seem to be have strong feelings in what they believe in, and can be a bit brash sometimes, not really caring about the consequences of their actions, which is what makes me say Gryffindor for them.

Badboyhalo

Our favorite muffin demon. I assume, I don’t know what life you live. Anyways, Bad is like the stereotypical Hufflepuff. The kindhearted, well meaning, sweet, responsible Hufflepuff. The Hufflepuff that’s like in all of those incorrect quotes blogs and “Slytherin and Hufflepuff friendships uwu” posts. But for real, Bad is very Hufflepuff. He does however have Slytherin Loyalty, considering he pretty much sacrificed the entire server for Skeppy, but if you would try to convince me that Bad is a Slytherin I will just laugh at you

Skeppy

It was at this point I realized what I’ve gotten myself into with this post, which you know, not fun. Skeppy is both cocky and filled with energy, with a real ambition to cause chaos. He’s also shown to be willing to sacrifice himself for the person he loves, Bad, when he gave himself up to the egg. I’ve seen some people say Slytherin, but I’m kinda getting Gryffindor from the lad, so yeah, another lion.

Antfrost

Frosty here is a kind hearted person that for the most part seem to be along for the ride. He reminds me a bit of a parent of toddlers, with his patience and serenity towards the more chaotic people on the server, so of course my natural instinct is Hufflepuff. Buuuuut, then there’s again the issue with the egg and the Slytherin loyalty, this time towards his boyfriend Velvet who he was willing to join a cult for (relationship goals) but again, you can’t really say Ant is a Slytherin considering how wrecked he was about what he did while in the eggpire when he was released from it’s grasp. So yeah, Puffle boy

And some of you may disagree on that, stating that she’s a Hufflepuff or something (I did research before this to check what other people think, I know) but naaah, she a lion. Puffy is very motherly and protective towards other people on the server, especially the minors, but in the way that a Bear is protective towards its cub, which is gentle towards them but fierce towards others. Puffy also falls natural in the role of a leader as seen with Pro-Omelette, but that is kinda expected since she’s a past Pirate Captain. But she wasn’t the leader she was supposed to be, as she waited quite a while to act against the eggpire out of fear of hurting her friends, which lead to quite the damage towards the rest of the server. She’s also been shown to act on impulse, killing Antfrost and taking one of his lives after he killed her son. Idk if this is a good explanation of why I believe Puffy to be a Gryffindor, it sounds more like I’m claiming her to be a Slytherin or Hufflepuff, but she is a Gryffindor I promise!

Foolish Gamers

Foolish is a kind and friendly being, if not a bit naive and easily distracted. He’s also not the brightest person, in fact I’d go as far as to call the guy a Himbo, and he can be a bit skittish sometimes if he’s stressed or haven’t taken a break in a while. But despite it all, the guy is someone who’s creative and hard working, with a brilliant mind for his building. The man is an artist who can get grumpy if you suppress his creative aura, and put his heart and soul into his works. He also has a habit of getting wrapped up in big projects, and ignoring sleep or personal care until he’s finished them. This all leads me to say that Mr Gamers is a Ravenclaw, just not the smartest one. But hey, we can’t all be geniuses, can we.

Slimecicle

Slime is very naive and very trusting towards people around him, taking every word they say as a fact. He can also be a bit dark and ominous at times, but quickly shakes it off as nothing important. This all makes him quite childish, which is very hard to sort, so I’m gonna say Hufflepuff for his friendliness and move on.

Purpled Bedwars

I actually started loving this guy the minute I saw him, purely because Purple is my favorite colour, like my man has taste. Purpled, like Punz, is a guy who helps whoever pays him the most. He’s not interested in most things on the server, too busy looking out for number one (And Dogchamp of course). He’s very self reliant and resourceful, but still quite passive. He may not be the most ambitious guy, but Purpled is definitely a Slytherin (It also brings me and my girlfriend Serotonin knowing that the mercenary siblings are both in the same house, we love those two)

Hannahxxrose

I don’t watch Hannah that much, but god I love her voice, it makes my lesbian little heart happy. Hannah is a friendly person who is very naive about the conflicts on the server, thinking it all can can be solved by placing a rose (God I wish). She’s a good decorator and a good hearted person, who unfortunately fell victim to the egg’s influence. I’m going with Hufflepuff on her, but I’m honestly not entirely sure as I don’t know that much about her.

HBomb94

H is a very well meaning person that only really wants people to be friendly towards each other. He had a strict moral code and he keeps to it, as shown where Fundy tried to get his help with blowing shit up. He’s very helpful to those who ask and is willing to back up his friends when it’s needed, which makes me say that the friendly totally not dirty cat maid is a Hufflepuff.

Connoreatspants

I just want you all to know that I’m writing this before Connor’s lore stream that surely will just go against everything I say because fate hates me, just so ya know. Connor is not a person that does stuff on the server with lore and he for the most part keeps to himself, so this is a bit hard. Connor also has this thing where he likes to say things just to confuse him, and also making a bit of cursed lore, but he’s still a fairly humble person. He does lie and steal a bit, and has this habit of moving into other people’s houses, but I digress. I’m actually leaning towards Ravenclaw on him, for some reason, so that’s what I’m going with until I have more of an established character.

ItsAlyssa

I know she has left the server and stuff, but she was one of the original members so it would be a crime not to include her. Alyssa is a bit chaotic, often going on killing sprees, or burning down the trees outside of L’Manburg. So I’m placing Alyssa in Gryffindor, but to be honest I don’t really know at this point.

Callahan

How do you sort a person who does not speak, stream, or show like anything of his personality? The answer is, you don’t. Hufflepuff is the house of those who don’t fit in anywhere else, and that’s where I’m placing him.

From what I’ve seen of Vik he’s a very humble person that tries to stay out of it all, instead forming a land together with his bro Lazar. Honestly my instincts say Ravenclaw and I trust my instincts, so I’m putting him in Ravenclaw

Lazarbeam

Lazar was actually a big part of the exile arc which I realized after already have written his, so now I gotta rewrite it. Lazar is fairly ambitious on the server, and has the goal to obtain the most powerful objects on the server just to rival the other strong members of the smp. He’s especially against Tommy, and aims to do a lot to be the opposite of him, aka well respected and not a war criminal that got exiled (Totally fair goal). Despite that, he was able to show some empathy to the British child, even going as far as to give him a disk during his exile. This all makes me say Slytherin on him.

Michaelmcchill

Newest boy. Michael is a very apathetic person, showing little to no empathy towards most people’s trauma on the server. The person he does feel empathy for however is Dream, who of course did nothing wrong and is locked up in the prison which is just horrible oh no. Michael just truly does not care about what you’ve been through (as of now) which is why I’m gonna say Slytherin, because he does have Slytherin loyalty towards Mr Was Taken.

I am trying to read more theology and I would love to know what texts have been most important to you? I am not a super academic person so things that are modestly accessible would be great, but also I am trying to push myself to read more challenging texts! ty so much!

Oooh what a fun question -- I’ve offered people book recs before, but never one that’s specifically the texts that have been most important to me.

To start, i recommend my #books tag on my other blog for way more books than the ones I’ll list here -- not every post in that tag is relevant to your question here, but some are. And now for a list of theological texts that have been most important to me -- deeply impacting how I read the Bible, how I relate to God or to other humans or to creation, etc.:

The basics

I have to include Christian Doctrine by Shirley Guthrie on this list...

simply because it was the first book I read when trying to figure out what Reformed Protestants believe after growing up Catholic. It’s actually a fairly easy read -- it’s longish, and not like the most riveting book you’ve ever read, but dang it has great stuff in it. It made me way more excited to enter the PC(USA) denomination than I’d been before reading it -- before, I felt like i was mainly running from the crappy parts of the Roman Catholic Church; after reading it, i realized i could also be running to the beautiful parts of Reformed theology!

But yeah, if you’re looking for a book that helps solidify in your mind concepts like the Trinity, or sin, or divine inspiration....this is a great book for that! (Assuming you want to learn about those things from a(n LGBT affirming) Reformed Protestant lens.

If you wanna read tons of excerpts from this text before deciding whether you want to read the whole thing, I posted a lot of passages from it in this tag over here.

this is the best book I can think of for non-academics who want to learn about reading the Bible in a way that confronts rather than ignores/accepts its more disturbing passages.

If you need help figuring out how to read the Bible without a fundamentalist / literalist lens, this is the book for you.

Holy Envy: Finding God in the Faith of Others by Barbara Brown Taylor

Very important if you want to practice a Christianity that doesn’t pit you against people of other (or no) faiths -- and very easy to read

Books that helped me develop a liberationist + queer + disabled theology

Justin Tanis’ book Transgendered was super important to me when i was first getting into trans theology...

However, the language in it isn’t particularly accessible -- it’s not horribly dense but I would now recommend OtherWise Christian by Chris Paige instead. Paige quotes from Tanis -- and many other foundational trans theologians! -- and does a great job of making their scholarly language a lot more accessible to non-academics. Ach yeah, OtherWise Christian is what you wanna read to get deep into the academia of trans theology without having to wade through the denser older books yourself.

I’d also recommend Austen Hartke’s Transgender and Christian YouTube channel and my website blessedarethebinarybreakers.com for more trans theology presented in simpler language!

Disability: The Inclusive Church Resource by John M. Hull

Nancy Eiseland’s The Disabled God is also, like, foundational to a lot of disability theology but it’s not the easiest read. The last two chapters are the best part in my opinion.

Jesus and the Disinherited by Howard Thurman.

It’s a bit more academic / written more formally than some of the books on here cuz it’s older, but it’s also short and if you can get through even just the first two or three chapters you’ll have absorbed material that i promise you’ll be thinking about for a long, long time to come.

God of the Oppressed by James Cone

So foundational. Another classic by him is The Cross and the Lynching Tree. These books are both more academic but yeah, foundational stuff.

The only full text I’ve read by Gustavo Gutiérrez is On Job but I’ve read a lot of excerpts from other stuff by him...

You’ve gotta read at least a little bit of this guy to help you understand liberation theology as it originated in Latin America. Unfortunately, I do think he’s much more academic so not an “easy” read at all -- you could try to find other authors who sum up his ideas and works and offer fundamental excerpts in his own words, if you try to dig into something he’s written and find it too tough

But yeah, his book On Job in particular really helped me start figuring out “theodicy” -- the question of why there is suffering in the world / what God’s role in suffering is. But I had a lot of trouble figuring out what Gutiérrez was saying at a lot of points in the book, and I’ve been reading academic texts for like a decade now!! So if you try to read it and find it’s just too much, don’t feel bad. I only was able to get a real handle on this book after discussing it in a seminary classroom with a teacher helping us.

If you wander through my #theodicy tag, you’ll find my own understandings of suffering as shaped by On Job without having to read the book yourself! You also might like Everything Happens by Kate Bowler for a great look on suffering. 

Native: Identity, Belonging, and Rediscovering God by Kaitlin B. Curtice (progressive Christian + citizen of the Potawatomi nation)

This book is truly incredible in that its language invites you in and reads like a devotional while making powerful statements about settler colonialism and assimilation and stuff. So so so good. 

When it comes to books that have deeply enriched, like, my “personal” prayer life / relationship with God:

Learning to Walk in the Dark and An Altar in the World by Barbara Brown Taylor (Episcopal background)

This author’s books are all so easy to read, and so so so full of wisdom. If you want your theology served to you in a less “so this is theology” kind of way and more of a devotional kind of way, this is the author for you.

Also she’s super popular among non-academics and academics alike so it’s easy to find people to discuss her work with!

An Altar in the World is about finding God outside of church, in the everyday, in the “secular”...

Learning to Walk in the Dark is about forming a faith that can survive and actually nourish you during the struggles of life (as opposed to what she calls a “full solar Christianity”)

A Tree Full of Angels by Sister Macrina Wiederkehr (Catholic nun)

this one is a little bit more formal in style, but not bad if you read it like i did, which was as a devotional where i’d only read a section or two each evening. It focuses on finding the divine in the most mundane of things -- see here for some posts sharing short excerpts from it.

Becoming A Stark? (1) Peter Parker X Stark! Fem Reader

A/N: This will eventually be a Peter Parker X Stark! femReader. However, there was backstory needed so Peter won’t be introduced until Chapter Six. This takes place after Iron Man 3 but before AOU. However time is wishy washy and will pass in weird ways so lol opps. Let me know if you want to be tagged.

You feel it in your soul that you will hate Tony Stark for the rest of your life. It doesn’t matter that you’re related to him. It doesn’t matter that you’re his daughter. He ripped you from everything you’ve ever known. You were happy living with your grandparents. Sure they were getting up there in age, but you were happy. You had a life, you had friends, hell you had been working on moving forward with your crush and were hoping to have a date to homecoming this year. But all of that was ruined the day that Tony Stark waltzed through your front door. You can’t help but think back to that interaction. 

“Nana, who’s this?”

“Tony Stark. Genius, billionaire, philanthropist, Iron Man, to name a few things. I’d offer a hand but that’s not something I normally do. I guess, maybe I should due to the circumstances but…” It’s not the first time you’ve seen his face. The Avengers have saved New York a few times, but it is the first time you’ve seen him up close. The dark haired stranger trails off and you’re put off by his attitude alone. Why was someone this stuck up standing in your living room? So instead of saying anything, you turn your head back to your book. Tony decides to take a seat at the opposite end of the couch and tries again. “What are you reading?” 

Instead of answering, you just hold up the book and let him read the cover. Once and Future, spelled out on the spine of the book that you had removed the book jacket from while you read. “Y/N, maybe put the book down for a few minutes. I think Mr. Stark-”

“Tony is fine.”

“I think Tony and you need to discuss something.” You hesitantly pick up the receipt you had been using as a bookmark and slide it into the book, not wanting to leave Ari Helix behind, but you wouldn’t be rude to your Nana on a good day. On a day that you had trudged through the snow in your converse, maybe, but not on purpose.

“I don’t know him. I don’t think we have anything to discuss.”

“You’re right, we don’t know each other yet, but I’m hoping that will change with everything that’s going to happen.”

“What’s going to happen?” You can feel your eyebrows fall towards your eyes as you feel as though something is about to change without your permission.

“Well Y/N, I’m… I’m your dad.”

“Bullshit.” You say quickly. “Tony Stark doesn’t have kids. And if he did, there would have been a fucking gossip blog screaming about it already.”

“Well you definitely have my mouth if nothing else.” Tony adds with a chuckle. 

“I don’t have anything of yours, because you’re not my dad. I never want to see you again. Get the fuck out.” You push off the couch and turn to run off to your room.

“See that’s going to be a little tough seeing as you're supposed to come live with me.”

“What the fuck did you just say?” You turn on your heels, the anger building quickly. You’ve always been a bit of a hot head, but in this moment you don’t even try to control your temper. “I have a home, thank you very kindly. I don’t fucking know you. And I’m not looking to find a dad anytime soon.” The words spit out of you before you can stop any of them. 

“See the thing is, you’re fourteen and I’m your dad. Custodially, you’re supposed to live with me.”

“See the thing is,” you mock before continuing, “You didn’t care for fourteen years, so I don’t give a shit what you think you’re supposed to be doing custodially.” You can’t help but add air quotes around the word custodially. It burns as it leaves your lips. He hasn’t cared about you for fourteen years, why start now? 

“That’s because I didn’t know you existed Y/N. I found out about you twenty four hours ago and I’m stepping up now.” The words leave his mouth in an exasperated tone, but he doesn’t raise his voice.

“How?”

“How what?”

“How did you find out about me?” 

“Your high school.”

“What?”

“When you registered for school they had your birth certificate. They needed more information. Since it listed me as your father, they reached out to Nat- to my assistant. It was quite the shock to me that my child’s school was reaching out to me, since I didn’t know I had a child but the timing adds up and looking at you, it makes a lot of sense.”

“You were listed on my birth certificate?” This question was aimed at your grandparents more than at Tony-your father.

“We didn’t know if it was true or not. Your mom was in a bad place when she had you Y/N. So we had to take everything she said with a grain of salt. Was she beautiful and loving and did she love you? Yes completely. But did a lot of what she said during that time make sense? No, not at all.” Your nana says as she sits down on the couch, rubbing her knee. It’s probably another bad day. If you leave, who will make sure Nana and Pops are ok?

“I can’t go with you.” You cross your arms as you speak to Ton-your father.

“Why not?” His eyebrow raises over his square glasses.

“‘Cuz someone has to help Nana and Pops around the house.”

“I’ll make sure there’s a nurse helping them. Or better we can move them into a nursing facility where they don’t have to go up and down a bunch of flights of steps all the time.”

“Why would you do that.” The question came out as a demand, especially since you don’t want to believe this man that’s taking you away from the only family you’ve ever known would do something… nice.

“Because they’re your family. I’m not heartless. Well I guess that depends on what your belief on science is and arc reactors are, but technically I do still have a heart underneath all of this.” He points to where you know there would be metal and lights under his suit. “But for right now, we need to focus on getting you to the tower.”

“What tower?”

“Avenger’s tower? It’s closer than Malibu? And in less shambles.”

“So you’re moving me from the home that I know and love, but you don’t even live where you’re moving me?”

“I live there a lot of the time. And the Avengers are there most of the time which means you’ll be very safe. But I do have to travel for business.”

“Then I’ll stay where I am thanks.” Tony goes to speak when Wallace goes off. The beeping is only jarring for him since you and your Nana are used to it going off at random times.

“What the hell is that?”

“That is Wallace.” You say, not clearing up anything. Hmmm, your Dexcom says you’re 205 and rising? You could have sworn you had insulin on board. So you unclip the pump from your side and tap the screen to enter your blood sugar. No correction needed. 

“You good babydoll?” Your nana asks from across the living room.

“I’m good. I have insulin on board.”

“You’re diabetic?” Tony asks, putting two and two together.

“Yup. Have been since I was four.”

“And Wallace?” He asks hesitantly.

“Do you honestly care?” You say before rolling your eyes and walking towards the kitchen. Mentally, you slap yourself. You should have grabbed your book. Now you’ll either have to start a new one or wait until your father, you roll your eyes at even saying it, leaves so you can continue your space adventure. Walking down the hallway you enter your room and close the door behind you. All you want to do is shut out the bombshell that was dropped on you and not deal with it. But for some reason you get the feeling that Tony Stark, freaking Iron Man, isn’t one to just let things go. 

Giving up on the idea of starting another book, you open your computer and click your Spotify to start playing the playlist you had paused this morning when you had left to run errands with Pops. You only have two weeks of summer left, so you had spent time getting school supplies and groceries before returning to the apartment. While Hitchin’ A Ride by Green Day starts playing, you open Twitter, hoping for anything to distract yourself. But somehow you find yourself on Tony Stark’s Twitter. It was less narcissistic that you imagined for him. Some retweets about Stark Industries, a few comical tweets about wanting a cheeseburger, and then a tweet from twenty four hours that just said HOLY SHIT in all caps and nothing else. Could that be about you? Closing out Twitter, you find yourself opening up your Tumblr to scroll as Lithium by Nirvana played. Or well you tried to scroll, but a knock on your door interrupts you. 

“Can I come in?” Tony’s head peaks in.

“If I say no will you go?” You say without looking up.

“Probably not. The people in my inner circle say I’m fairly stubborn.”

“Hmm.” Is the only reply you give him. To be fair, a lot of your friends would say you’re stubborn too so it’s not that surprising that your father is too. 

“I know you don’t like it kiddo-”

“Don’t call me kiddo.

“-but we do need to head to the Tower soon. Happy’s been parked downstairs for about as long as he’s allowed to be there.” Tony continues as if you hadn’t said anything. “So how about you pack up stuff you’ll need for the next few days and then I can send Happy and some other people to come get the rest later on?”

“You’re going to send people to pack up my stuff? You know how invasive that is?” 

“Ok, I’ll send you over with them, you can pack it up and they’ll move it to the tower, it’s your choice. Or to Malibu if you’d rather. Well that is once the rebuild is done. Long story. But if you stay at the tower, you won’t have to change schools.”

“Yippee. Everyone at school will get to find out that Tony Stark is my father. How much fun will that be.” Your voice is dripping with sarcasm. “I definitely wanted to be ostracized my first year at high school. Thanks for making it even better than I could ever imagine high school being.”

“Look I know this isn’t a win/win scenario, but we can keep your name out of the press until your eighteen if you want. You’re a minor-”

“Yeah, but when the paparazzi see me coming out of the tower, that won’t tip them off.”

“I’ll have Happy drive you. There’s a garage entrance. No one will see you coming or leaving.”

“Great so I just have to give up my freedom. That’s even better than I imagined.”

“Y/N, I know this isn’t what you wanted, or even what you want, but I think we can come up with something that works in the long run. Plus I’m having Pepper, you’ll meet her later, take over SI so I won’t have to do as much. I can try to stay in New York as much as possible. Because no matter what happens, you’re my daughter and I want to know you.” You don’t say anything in response. “I hope one day, you feel similarly.” He says softly.

“I doubt it.” You say honestly. 

“Well even if that’s the case, right now we do need to pack up some stuff to take to the tower for now. Want me to hel-” He starts to pick up a sweatshirt from the end of your bed and you snatch it from his hand as you reply.

“I’ve got it.”

“Y/N, we’re here.” Your father’s voice pulls you from your thoughts and you look at the non descript parking garage that is under what you assume is the tower. The man you’ve figured out is Happy, though he’s the exact opposite of Happy, opens your door and you climb out, knowing that Tony will be behind you. Happy goes to grab your bags from the trunk, but you stop him. 

“I’ve got it.”

“It’s part of my job.”

“I don’t have an issue carrying my own stuff like some people.” From the trunk you lift out your purple backpack, the black rolling suitcase, and the canvas bag that’s filled with all your pump supplies, sensors, and insulin. You follow Tony and Happy towards an elevator. 

“JARVIS take us to the main floors.”

“Certainly sir.” You look up expecting to see a face or something but there’s no one there.

“JARVIS is the AI that runs the whole tower. If you need anything JARVIS is the one to ask. If there’s specific food you want or if you need stuff for school or, well, anything really, just ask JARVIS. I’ll get you added to the levels of clearance that allow you to order anything that you want.”

“You don’t have to do that.”

“Part of you living with me is that I’m going to provide for you. JARVIS is part of providing for you. I’m not the best at remembering to like grocery shop or send the laundry out so JARVIS helps with that.”

“Send the laundry out? Do you not have a washer and dryer in this whole place?” You cock an eyebrow at how spoiled he sounds.

“We do, but there are other things that take time away from me.” You add continue to do my own laundry to the mental list of things that will make you different from your father. Tony notices the disapproval marked in his daughter’s face and hopes that maybe meeting the Avengers will make up for the disappointment he’s been to her so far. The doors open and in the living room Natasha and Clint are sitting watching a movie while Steve sits in a chair reading a book. “Where’s Code Green?”

“In the lab,” Steve comments, not looking up from the page he’s on.

“That’s Capsicle. Legolas is sitting next to Nat. Big Green is down in the lab and Point Break is currently back at home but you’ll meet him eventually, though hopefully not his brother.” At the sound of being introduced the three in the living room look up and see the girl standing next to Tony in surprise.

“Uh, Tony, are we taking pint size Avengers now?” Clint asks.

“I might be small, but I can kick your knees out just as easily.” You pull on the strap of your backpack, not really wanting to be in this room much longer. 

“Ok, before you kick anyone’s knees out. This is not an Avenger recruit. This is Y/N Stark, my daughter.” Ok taking on his last name was something you were going to have to talk to him about because you were perfectly happy being Y/N Y/L/N, not this Y/N Stark bullshit.

“You have a kid?” Steve asks, genuine confusion spread across his face. 

“I do. I didn’t know until yesterday, but I’m doing the right thing.” You can’t stop the snort that escapes you. Tony looks over at you.

“Sorry,” You say although you don’t mean it. “Can I es- go to my room?”

“‘Yes, you can escape to your room. I’ll show you where it is.” 

“I got it boss. I think you have some people that need answers.” Happy offers. You’re silently relieved that Happy offered to show you. If you had to spend another minute with your dad, you might lose your mind. Happy walks you into the kitchen and opens the fridge as you go past it. You look at him, trying to figure out why he’s opening it. “Tony told me you’re diabetic. You have insulin that needs refrigeration right?”

“Oh, yeah I just didn’t know he told you.”

“Head of security. There’s not much he doesn’t tell me.” Happy turns them towards a staircase leading away from where all the Avengers are. “But you know if you need someone to talk to, or grab a cheeseburger with, there’s things he doesn’t have to know about.”

“I don’t eat meat, but I appreciate it, Happy.”

“He’s going to say you’re not his kid if you don’t eat cheeseburgers.” And for the first time since all of this started, you actually let out a laugh.

“So you found out you have a kid?” Steve asks, his book forgotten now.

“Yeah, yesterday I found out I had a fourteen year old and then it’s been a whole process of finding out that since she’s mine I have custody technically.”

“So you took her away from all she knows?” Natasha's voice comes softly from the couch. 

“I guess you could say that.”

“Did you give her a choice?” Natasha asks, harsher this time. In her eyes anyone could see the remainders of another girl that was taken from all she ever knew and replaced with a hard boiled assassin.

“In the eyes of the state she doesn’t really have a choice.”

“So you didn’t give her a choice.”

“She’s got a medical condition that was costing her family thousands a month on top of her grandparents’ conditions. I’m helping!” Tony’s voice raises for the first time this afternoon since he tried to stay calm around his kid.

“You think you’re helping, but you’re taking her from the only life she’s ever known and I’m betting you gave her no choice in this. All you might get out of this is four years with her and then she disappears from your life.” Clint says softly, not trying to upset Tony, but also hearing the points that Natasha was bringing up. 

“You’re going to have to work hard to make this worth it to Y/N, Tony.” Steve says before picking up his book.

hey anon, thanks for asking! you bring up a really important topic that I've been thinking about for a while so I hope you don't mind me going off on a bit of a tangent before I answer your question of g*na carano.

I think social media has a way of conflating transphobic feminists with terfs, who have a very specific ideology (not trying to cissplain lmao idk if that is a thing but anyway just trying to give context to my followers who might not know this) that is radical feminism (the belief that men as a class oppress women as a class, and that the oppression of women is the most fundamental form of oppression; usually goes hand in hand with gender abolition) that explicitly excludes trans women and includes trans men in the "women" category which lol no.

there are undoubtedly cis women feminists who, like I was before I started to unlearn cissexism and transphobia, don't mean to be harmful but are transphobic just because they live in a society that is transphobic. so transphobes don't have to be terfs and transphobic feminists don't either - unless they believe in radical feminism, by definition they're not terfs. so... in order to figure out if g*na carano is a terf we need to figure out two things:

1. is she transphobic?

2. is she a radical feminist?

so in september carano went apeshit on twitter and said crap about a lot of stuff, including mocking pronouns by putting "beep/bop/boop" in her bio. "They’re mad cuz I won’t put pronouns in my bio to show my support for trans lives. After months of harassing me in every way. I decided to put 3 VERY controversial words in my bio . . . beep/bop/boop" is what she tweeted.

she later said that pedro pascal tried to educate her on pronouns and that she won't be putting them in her bio but she respects people who do, and that she will continue to stand against the bullies who bully her for her "freedom to choose" lmao.

she has also tweeted covid denialism, trump conspiracies, etc. she also joined that conservative app parler lmao so.

she is undoubtedly transphobic. maybe she doesn't see it as being hateful in the same way that racists don't see their beliefs as being hateful, but she is clearly not good on trans issues. she says she supports "trans lives" but that's a low fucking bar. lots of bigots don't like murder of the people they're bigoted against, but they're still bigoted.

but as far as her being a radical feminist, I don't see much evidence that she's a feminist at all but she's definitely a conservative nutjob and has gotten lots of support from both terfs and trump supporters.

calling her a terf is probably inaccurate but it's also fair to say that she's capitalized on her tough badass woman image in a way that can seem like vaguely feminist adjacent. but I'm not gonna argue the semantics with trans people who she's hurt with her bullshit.

ANYWAYS let me try to remember what I was saying before I lost like five or six paragraphs of thoughts.

Thoughts on Avatar: The Last Airbender

Overall, I really enjoyed the show. The main characters were interesting and well-written, including most of the villains, and it always felt like their actions and feelings were understandable, even when they were very obviously doing something that wasn’t good for them or those around them. (Which is not to say they were justified — just that you could understand why they felt, thought, or did something.) 

On that note, it also felt like their choices and actions drove the plot, and that’s generally something I’m trying to integrate more into my own writing. It’s easy to plan a story by saying the plot is a list of things that happen, but what I want is characters to shape the plot. 

What do they want? What are they able to achieve in the direction of that want? How might their flaws get in the way? How might the wants and actions of other characters get in their way? Etc. 

I mean, now that I’m writing it here, it seems pretty basic and obvious as far as storytelling goes, but I don’t think it always is to some writers and there’s something about writing it out and framing it in a particular way that helps me.

While we’re on the subject of character, I think most of the main characters had really satisfying arcs. Aang is very silly in the beginning of the show (and he’s a kid, of course he is), and he grows up a lot over the series (which is actually kind of sad, but apparently his burden. I was going to say the burden of the Avatar, but I don’t think that’s even true, especially considering they don’t usually reveal who the Avatar is until they reach 16 — Aang being an exception). Obviously Zuko’s arc is the most dramatic, and I’ll get to that later, but I knew where that was going and I loved every moment of it. 

Speaking of knowing Zuko’s arc ahead of time — I should disclaim that I very rarely shied away from spoilers when they showed up on my dash, so I had a pretty good idea of the main plot points of the show even if I didn’t know every detail. And while I may not have been able to state a lot of what I’d read off the top of my head, very frequently as I was watching, I’d go “Oh YEAH, I remember reading about this.” 

One final preliminary thought before we dive into things, but also, I had no idea how to pronounce many of the characters’ names! I’d only ever read them before. Particular ones I got wrong: Sokka (thought it rhymes with Ahsoka), Toph (thought it rhymes with loaf), and Mai (thought it rhymes with pie). Not important but just something I found strangely jarring. Toph was weird in particular because it sounded like her parents called her “Tough” but then everyone else said her name as though it rhymes with “off”.

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS: Book 1

Sokka

Sokka became a fast favorite! Despite his major misogyny issues, which were quickly addressed and something he grew past, I really sympathized with him early on. He has to put up with a lot! I mean, Aang is really silly and playful in the beginning and Katara often joins in. I don’t remember specific examples but if I recall, in the beginning (and actually even towards the end), he’s incredibly goal-focused and Aang keeps diverting their plans. 

I’ve been told that the overall fandom of Sokka is that he’s a big dummy, and I find this baffling. Yes, he often has goofy ideas, but then often his creativity becomes incredibly helpful! He reminds me of Ron Weasley. He may not be booksmart, but he’s creative and strategic. And if you know me at all you know I love Ron Weasley. #WeasleyIsOurKing #RonWeasleyProtectionSquad

Man, Sokka ended up having two love interests in this season! First Suki, and by the way, I was always confused about whether or not Suki was officially “part” of the crew based on the gifs and posts I saw. Sometimes seemed like she wasn’t, sometimes not. Obviously I understand why that is now, but anyways. Also I think for some reason I thought it was Toph who became the moon rather than Princess Yue. LOL! Toph/Sokka isn’t even canon but I guess I’ve seen that ship around enough I thought it was. More on Toph/Sokka later, since Toph isn’t in Book 1.

Aang

Aang is a Lot. I’ve already touched on how he’s incredibly silly and playful and the tone of the show initially is pretty goofy. It’s a kid’s show! That’s to be expected. But I really felt overly conscious of the fact that it was a kid’s show and I don’t think I would have kept watching if so many people hadn’t already raved about the show. 

On the other hand, any character who decided to yell at a literal kid for “turning his back on the world” infuriated me. Like, yes, okay, that is how Aang feels already and perhaps arguably what happened, but he’s still a child, and that’s not fair to put that burden on him. I mean considering that it’s eventually revealed that the monks told Aang he was the Avatar four years earlier than usual, why would they even assume that he knew the consequences? 

Katara

I did like the plot with Katara being frustrated at how quickly Aang picks up waterbending. I’ve been on both sides of that situation, and it sucks for both people. I appreciated them spending some time exploring it. 

I hated Master Pakku. He only agreed to teach Katara after he saw she was his former fiance’s granddaughter, not because he had any kind of revelation that he was Wrong in his thinking. At least, that was my interpretation of that moment. Are there any other girls in his class after he agrees to teach Katara? I don’t remember seeing any. 

Should I talk about shipping yet? I’m under the impression that can be a very touchy subject! Well, all I’ll say is this: seemed pretty heavy-handed in this season that Aang/Katara was the intended final ship. 

I don’t have another subsection so we’ll just toss this in under Katara cuz why not: Jet is something else. SMH. I appreciate them including a character like that here, but man was he annoying. (And I know he’s supposed to be, so congratulations, effect achieved.)

Zuko!!! & Iroh

Uncle Iroh is amazing. He diverts their journey to buy a new lotus piece for his game, only to find it had been in his sleeve all along! And I really just adore how much Iroh cares about his nephew. From the beginning it’s clear that Iroh is a better father to Zuko. 

This ended up continuing through the show, but I appreciated how Zuko’s story tended to parallel the story of another character (usually Aang although not always). Specifically how we learn Aang and Zuko’s backstory in the same episode. 

Speaking of Zuko’s backstory, this is something I appreciate as a Well Done Redemption arc, and I know for a fact that I’ve already read posts about this but I just want to express my own appreciation for it. His redemption arc works because they show the seeds of good that always existed within him. We, as the audience, see that very early on. We see him stand up to his father’s war council and stand up for the troops they were going to sacrifice. This is *integral* to his redemption working. It’s not the only part of his story that makes it work, but that redemption arc wouldn’t have worked as well without it. 

Finally on that subject, my reaction to his Agni Kai with his father: “I knew Zuko’s father was Awful, and I think I even knew he was the one who burned him, but this? This is crazy. PS: pretty sure we just saw a cameo of Azula smirking in the background!”

Okay, I know I don't interact much with you and it can be kinda uncalled for but I feel like I should say some things. Of course we have to be grateful for our parents for helping us through life and we we "owe" them since they provide for us and keep us "safe". This is no excuse to be abusive though. We also should know that parents are just as fucked up as us lol and being abusive is not really something that comes out of nowhere, so she probably had to deal with it too or was (+)

(+) "raised to turn out like this" [Which is NOT an excuse to be like this too, though understandable. We all should do some therapy to deal with those stuff and turn out to be better. Not all of us realize that we should/have to and it still makes her at fault. She realizing it or not]. She shouldn't make you feel like this and living like this is hard. I didn't really live this but my sister did and we lived together, so I saw this developing through my life and did experience some shit (+)

(+) for myself too, though not as much as my sister. Either way, she has depression and she heard a lot of things like she should die/have cancer or "don't call me when xxxx" and stuff like this. Which is clearly not healthy and shouldn't be said even though you're mad as fuck. There are some things that doesn't matter how mad or lost your are, you just shouldn't say to anyone. In our case, I know that mom loves us and had her shit too and she's having to deal with it and is not really good (+)

What I want you to know is that even if it's hard and you don't feel at home in your own home, there is still hope around you. You can have a home in other people. You can have a home in other places. (+)

(+)And you can have a home of your own in the future. Even if it's not the best case scenario, it's a scenario that I'd advise you to look for. That's what I do. Sometimes we get really bad because we want to feel home where we are but knowing that it's not all lost gives me enough hope to keep going until I can feel at home. And like no matter how mad you are, I don't think it's right to tell anyone, let alone your own daughter. I know she's done stuff for me and all but not giving two shits about my mental health just kinda sucks because she just makes it worse. :\

Yeah :\ i don't think she's having any hard time, but I can't tell because she could just be bottling it in. But again, even though I chose to go with her she threatens to send me back and that's just so harsh. I just don't like her bullshit attitude and the fact that she thinks she can belittle me cuz I'm her daughter.

I mean, I have told her many times that I'm not gonna be leaving her and go to my dad but she used to be paranoid about me leaving her because my dad would quote unquote manipulate my mind. And like,,,, after all the time I took to convince her that I won't leave her, she herself telling me that she'd be happy if I left her and went to my dad is kinda... Depressing tbh. Life is Strange fanfiction: All Wounds

   HEY ALL, somethin different for today. I will honestly say I don't read tons of fanfic, call me picky or just, see the truth as being i don't have much spare time to read, period so I've never reviewed one.  BUT. I really want to call attention to one this time, and what better way to do that then by helping out the author with a review? I don't think people realize how much criticism is worth to writers, even taking the time to type out something small is great. (quick note: this review contains spoilers for Lis and BtS. spoilers for the fic itself will be left to the end)   All Wounds by @destiny-smasher is a fic taking place in the Life is Strange universe, almost directly after the 'bae' ending. Throughout, it switches between Max and Chloe's PoVs, however Max is still the main protagonist here. But this is no fluffy feel-good fic (though there is some spots of fluff here and there) it's real and it's painful. It deals with the trauma and emotions that have built up in these women over that fateful week, even their teenage years - stuff that doesn't just magically disappear after the climax. That premise hooked me, because the kind of nitty gritty that often gets ignored in the fandom is exactly what tends to interest me. It actually (minor spoiler!) timeskips after a bit to when they're adults, and when things finally start crashing around their heads .. again.   I will say outright, this isn't for the faint of hearted. It's lonnnng, at 3.5 k words, which rivals many novels!! And it deals with PTSD, mental illness, suicidal ideation, and even a certain amount of psychological horror. Themes present in both games definitely come up again. And no, Max and Chloe's relationship isn't without its bumps. Or rather catastrophic crashes. Don't worry, it'll hurt you but patch those wounds up, by the end. see what i did there   Truthfully, I tried to read it in a RIDICULOUSLY short time frame for Reasons™ (unrelating to the piece) but just could not. I would continuously find myself compelled to slow down, sink into each sentence, into Max’s head or Chloe’s frustrations. I was living in their world more than mine for a few days. It was great - a piece of fresh writing hasn’t done that to me in a while.   I highly recommend taking the time to appreciate this story; it’s ups and downs, romance and time fuckery. If you loved Life is Strange (duh) there’s little reason you wouldn’t love this, too.   You can absolutely tell that this is a project woven together of heart and struggle. Art is never easy when you truly care about the outcome and the fact that this took years of the creator's time and attention stuns me. She did all that mind you, for FREE. Not for publishing, not for profit, not for fame. For a fandom she cares about. Serious writing for fandom is tough, because frankly it's not the easiest medium to sell (sell being used nonliterally here of course, and also, this applies outside of fandom too, just especially so in it) I have an INCREDIBLE amount of admiration for creators like her who dive into these characters they love - but did not create! developing them further, taking them in new directions or continuing them on paths they were already set on -  and write novel length stories or comics for absolutely nothing. You have thoroughly earned my respect.   That’s not to say it’s flawless! Nothing ever is, psh. I do have criticisms here and there, but with those I’ll be more specific, which means they’ll be put under the cut. This is mostly for Destiny-Smasher’s sake, since she is in the process of turning the fic into a visual novel! I’ve read the first few chapters of that too, it’s a cool adaption.   So yeah, if ya haven’t read it, please stop here.   (Also before you go, check out her girlfriend’s art, I’m in love with that too!!)

SPOILERS BEYOND

   Some of these tend to be on the side of minor and nitpicky, I feel, but I'll still go into them. Not trying to be annoying !

  Okay so OBVIOUSLY the repetitiveness of certain scenes or conversations was purposeful, and a big part of how you told this story. And that's GREAT I think you used that unusual element well, certainly paying attention to details. There were some times when it felt repetitive in the wrong places though I think, and I guess I mostly mean some conversations. Or sometimes rather than being repetitive they just felt unnecessary as a whole. If I'm remembering correctly sorry its been a little while by now the conversation between Chloe and Steph in the diner before Chloe realizes she can rewind time now felt like that - just unneeded, like if you had cut or shortened it nothing would be lost. I can't think of any more examples right now, but maybe just keep that in mind?   In general there are definitely a few filler scenes but I hesitate to condemn that because like I said, this world really breaths and feels genuine, and I think those are part of why.   The addition of quotes and especially linked songs was an awesome touch I thought, since ya don't normally get auditory nods like that in writing. There were a few times it broke my immersion but for the most part it was a very appealing layer to your storytelling, so I look forward to seeing that carried out with the adaption.   One thing I didn't like much in general were Chloe's pirate dreams in the second half. I understand that there were some important nods and revelations about what was going on in her psyche, not to mention the role of dream weaving being hinted at, but for the most part they just left me pretty confused.   As far as inconsistencies, I know you were worried about that, but I really think you're fine? Like other than the stuff involving Before the Storm and what that revealed/changed (which you can't be blamed for because this story was written over yEARS) there was nothing major that I noticed. And considering the utter insanity of the timelines n shit, I'm seriously in awe you kept it relatively smooth. I have a HUGLY less complicated story in the works (no time travel) and I still managed to fuck up the timeline. Moving on. :')    I’m embarrassingly forgetful, and that’s all my initial notes on the subject had to say, so I may be missing some things? But yeah, I honestly don’t have much in the negative to say.    So let’s talk about THE plot twist. Yes that one. I remember around, chapter 16.4, the idea piecing together in my mind .. the title of the chapter, her behavior, speaking patterns, the fact that yes, this wasn’t a deviation like any of the others, it was in fact the canon divergence of timeline.... hoLY CRAP ITS OTHER MAX SHES REAL AND - yeah I fangirled a bit. (I was freaking so badly about my theory that I was so sure had to be true - and I was right, heh - that I tried to explain it to my dad. Who, FYI, has minimal knowledge on Life is Strange’s plot, and no hope of understanding the convoluted details of the fic thus far. I finally gave up and went back to reading while squealing excitedly over it in my head. And then I shut up because things got dark)   Just, gods, the details! That was the most satisfying fucking feeling, seeing all these seemingly little or random things come to be crucial. Things like Max clinging to her reality with the wedding bands on her finger, or like Other Max’s particular personality, from being aggressive and upfront more than Max has ever been, to her freaking sexual behavior. Her having red streaks in her hair to represent both sides to her, the cover of the fic and the visual novel not being a symbolic picture but an actual look at the End of Time and Other Max!!   Her falling in love with Stella was definitely a curveball I did not expect, and admittedly I was pRETTY weirded out. Cuz like.. she's engaged to Chloe in the other timeline, and obviously I ship them over anyone else.. I'm not complaining! Just, a very fresh take on Stella and their relationship. Speaking of- it did seem a little strange to me that, after the awkward start to their dating and the mention of how it was going right after, that it never came up again. Obviously things got cut short, but, how was it really working? Did Stella turn out to actually be gay? I interpreted that she was doing it out of a sort of obligation and platonic love for Max, and that she was 1000% straight. Maybe you left that open on purpose? It seemed coded that way, though..   All in all I loved what you did with Other Max. She was an edge of a concept in Life is Strange, in that confrontation scene after the nightmare of episode five - which I loved for its implications - and you took that and RAN with it. So I go in thinking "okay. she's a more literal form of this mental battle Max faces, made so much worse by death shes surrounded by after the storm" And for a while that holds up.. Max finds herself moving on, as a teenager, with Chloe's pushing, and things get better for a while. Great!! Woohoo!   Except ..  the past will always find you .. especially when that past is yourself ... and not even time travel can keep it away forever.   That's the shit you don't see delved into. This power is like, a drug. A limb she's gotten used to and relies on as much as any other. I've never believed she would just, drop it. Does it go away when the storm hits / chloe dies? Maybe, I always thought. But that's so convenient. And without an explanation for why it showed up, we have no basis for why it would go away.   And why not use it, Max convinces herself. ‘I must still have the power for a reason.’ Maybe so, and you've certainly grown, Caulfield, but you are still avoiding consequences. You are still a god amongst mortals, but guess what? That immortal facade can only be contained by a human body for so long. Things start crumbling, and as a reader you see the inevitability of all, feel the hopelessness. She's keeping things from Chloe, BIG fucking things, and I want to reach over and grab her by the shoulder and shake her. "CHLOE YOUR GIRLFRIEND IS MINDFUCKED"   I literally couldn't breath for a minute when I realized the implications of the car crash scene, where Max says she's been regularly getting lost in time for months. But, no biggie. Quick weed, call, and you’re right back where you should be. Right? Just wipe the blood off your face, no one will notice.   Damn.   Anyway, enough about that. Remember earlier, when I said 'psychological horror'? Truthfully I don't know if that's the right word for it, or even if its a real thing. But whatever it is, I live for it. People's mind are their own worst enemies, and that bit is ultimately and personally relatable. Max is constantly arguing with herself. But this time, the nightmare - mine, and hers - is creeping into real life. The Other is ripping control from her shaky hands. Its twisting her into someone she never wanted to be - a literal worst version of herself, and, we find out - a real version, just from a different timeline. A broken one. A nonhuman one .. or that's what she says. But as we see this Other raise her voice, and read on in bafflement alongside Max, we get to see that her intentions, aren't necessarily evil. Has she done evil things? Yes. Did Max see her as evil? Yes, and even Chloe did for a while. But the big question I found myself asking, and Chloe eventually challenging is.. is the Other.. still Max? Is the worst reality, the worst view in the mirror, still us? All Wounds says yes. But not to give up hope, far from it - instead that we MUST confront these self made demons, we MUST accept these wounds for them to ever heal.   While spurred by a morality grounding near-death experience, that last fight at the End of Time - while a supernatural slew of symbolism, time travel, and dreamscapes - also sung to me of reality. That's what the best fantastical fiction is.   Amazing.

  To top it all off, the ending chapter was perfect. I'm not gonna lie, I teared up a bit. It felt right, and more importantly, real. Not some overdone fictional fanservice crap. But still the happy ending these women MORE than earned.   Through it all, the exploration of characters who didn't probably get what they deserved in LiS (I'm thinking about Victoria, but also Stella and even Joyce..) was really satisfying and ultimately shifted my perception of them.

  Honestly, there are so many quotable moments throughout this thing. (I have a ton of screenshots of some on my phone, actually.) But I'll go with .. "You Power isn't what makes you special, Max. Stop worrying about fixing. Focus on being. Yes, even those parts. That's all in the past. All I care about now is the future. And I want to share that future with you."

#9: The Co-Parenting (3x12)

Y’all. 😭 This moment is like our first glimpse of Rick and Michonne co-parenting Carl. 😭 And it’s so sweet (and now super emotional) that they give off such family vibes in this episode.

So after Michonne reminds Rick that the mat did in-fact say “welcome”, 😋 Carl tells Rick he wants to go get a crib for Judith.

I feel like there’s a lot of moments in this episode that cement why Carl is beyond his years, because even for him to think of getting something practical for Judith lets you know he takes on part of the responsibility of raising her, especially considering his dad understandably wasn’t exactly in the best state when the baby was first born.

And of course he’s still a kid tho, so Rick is about to shut the request down cuz he’s not about to have Carl just go run and grab something by himself. But Carl tries again at convincing him and you can tell “no” is not an answer Carl has any intention of taking.

It’s def not a coincidence that Michonne would be brought along on this trip with just Rick and Carl and that she’s getting to see firsthand their family dynamic and personal insight into Rick trying to navigate being a single dad.

Now knowing Richonne was planned around this time, this is clearly to position her as a future Grimes family member.

And this future Grimes family member smoothly steps into the conversation when she casually tells Carl if he’s getting a crib he’s going to need the box. Carl says what and then Michonne repeats that the crib box will probably be heavy. I love that this line is a subtle way to let us know Michonne had a child.

And then she says, “You are getting a crib right?” And I love that she’s just talking to Carl like a person and not a little kid cuz she already knows he’d respond better to that than any remote babying.

And Carl, thinking he’s grown, says “That’s what I said”. Lol. And so then Michonne sort of leans in Rick’s direction to tell him she’ll go with Carl.

I love this cuz it’s such a perfect way to handle it. Like in one fell swoop she was able to let Rick know she would look out for his kid while also helping Carl’s case for getting to go. Look at her already strengthening the family. 🙌🏾

And this made me think about that deleted scene from the season 7 finale where she spoke life into both of them and it’s just sweet that this season 3 episode lays the foundation for that moment seasons later.

(Side note: If I thought that finale deleted scene should have been included in the original cut before, I really really think it should have been included now. Like how was a moment between Carl and his parents cut? I don’t understand.🤦🏽‍♀️)

And I love Rick’s look after she tells him she’ll go with Carl. Like that look just says he’s thinking “Are the three of us kind of operating like a beautiful family right now?” (Lol these are the kinds of direct quotes from the character’s minds that you can get exclusively here. #extra😋)

So then he stands up and he clearly likes the offer cuz he tells Carl, “Right there. That’s the deal”. And honestly it’s adorable cuz one; he seems pretty happy that Michonne was able to find this happy medium and two; he’s co-signing with his soon-to-be co-parent. Here for it. 🙌🏾😊

I love the mom and dad vibes given off in this scene and in this episode. And also I’m seriously going to miss story lines with the three of them. 😭 There always so good and I wish we would have gotten a lot more.

Rick co-signing with Michonne here is big cuz, if it wasn’t clear before, this confirms that Rick trusts Michonne. 💯

He knows he can trust her with his son, which is a really serious thing to trust someone with, especially in their world.

And it’s also like, since Rick knows Michonne is a safe person for Carl to be around, maybe Rick also likes this plan cuz he’s thinking Carl can spend this time with her and then give Rick the scoop on what vibe he gets from her. Which we sort of see happen when he later asks if everything’s okay with her. But I’m getting ahead of myself. 😋

Basically, it’s a big deal that Rick would let the most special person in his life (apart from Judith) go with Michonne without him there to supervise and that he so confidently agreed to let her go with him. Y’all, Homeboy trusted her before he even realized he trusted her. 👌🏽 

He’s still a cautious dad tho cuz he still tells Carl to holler if he gets into any trouble. But like Carl’s with the Queen so he’ll be fine. 😌

It low key should have been the opposite, where they tell Rick to holler if he gets into trouble since he was about to be left alone with Clear-mode Morgan lol. 😂

And then we have that quick moment of Rick and those wandering eyes lol cuz he def quickly checks Michonne out before she leaves. We all see you, ‪Slick Rick‬. 😋

Again, I think it suggests that R&M are supposed to be in the phase where they’re more aware, not fully aware, but more aware of their attraction.

Also, in this episode we get this phenomenal performance between Lennie James and Andrew Lincoln. Like anytime I see this episode, the performances are just as captivating as the first time and this is legit me after I watch their scenes in this episode, every time lol...

And one thing from Morgan and Rick’s interaction that’s now made me super emotional is the moment when Morgan asks Rick if his boy is dead and Rick says no and then Morgan says, “He will be.” And he later tells Rick that him and his boy will be torn apart by teeth or bullets. 😥

It’s depressing cuz that’s literally what the engine of this show was. Rick keeping Carl alive. No matter who made Rick feel like Carl wouldn’t make it be it Shane, Morgan, or even Lori in season 2, Rick was determined to keep Carl alive and create a new world for him. Against all odds, he was going to raise his son to be an ultimate survivor.

That’s literally the show at it’s core and what we were most rooting for and the one W Rick was supposed to get, at least from my perspective. We wouldn’t have anything else story-wise had it not been for Rick’s determination to find his son since Day One. But now that driving force and that hope is being unjustly ripped away.  😔 

Plus, when Morgan updates Rick on how he lost his son he says that his walker wife was standing right in front of Duane and Duane had a gun aimed at her but he couldn’t do it. And while the circumstances were very different, I feel like this was meant to parallel Carl and demonstrate why he’s a different type of kid because when the time came to take out his own mom he had the strength to do it.

I feel like this, amongst many things, suggested that Carl had what it took to beat this world, so I’ll never understand why all of that has now been taken away. 😥

But on a lighter note, the thing I love most about “Clear”, both when I first watched it and now, is that it lays the foundation for the best friendship on the show, in my humble opinion.

Because there’s been a lot of good friendships depicted in this series but the bond between Carl and Michonne really is something special. 👏🏽😊

I’m glad Rick let Michonne and Carl go on this little one-on-one venture cuz by the end of it not only would Michonne and Carl begin their path to becoming mother and son but their bond would play a huge part in Richonne as well. 

I love Carl and Michonne’s story line in “Clear” and that it continues on with this theme of Rick and Michonne co-parenting. Cuz Carl tells Michonne she doesn’t have to go with him but she reminds him, “I told your dad I’ll help you”. 

Watching this stuff in retrospect I keep thinking about moments that come later, like in 7x5 when Carl is trying to convince Michonne that they shouldn’t just sit and take this oppression from Negan (cuz that’s who Carl’s character is but I guess season 8 didn’t get the memo 👀) and Michonne says, “Your dad thinks differently.” And I love that by that point she’s without a doubt Carl’s mom and when she refers to his dad she’s also referring to her man. 🙌🏾

As they’re walking to get the crib, Carl thinks he’s slick and tries to pull one over on Michonne by asking her to take care of a walker while he runs off. 

...But see this ain’t Lori. So you aren’t running off on Michonne. 😂 She catches up to him and again talks to him like the little grown boy he is. And she realizes that Carl has walked past the baby place to which Carl vaguely admits that he has something else on his agenda.

(Side note: Seeing how little Carl is here and how little his voice is really makes me realize how much we watched this kid grow up. 😭)

I really love that quick moment of Carl looking into the restaurant and then thinking he’s just about to waltz in and then Michonne silently shutting that down with a quickness. She’s def a mom, y’all. Cuz that was a signature mom move lol. 

And then the next scene of them is Carl walking away cuz he knew not to push it with her and just run in the restaurant.

As they’re walking away it will always be so funny that in their little talk he says, “You don’t know me. You don’t know my dad.” Like just wait, Carl. She will. ☺️

And low key she knows them even here in “Clear” cuz as I mentioned before, I always got this vibe that Michonne understood Rick and Carl on a deeper level, even at the beginning.

Carl tries to reiterate his dad’s words when he says the only reason she’s here is cuz they have the same enemy and problem and that’s it, which is tough cuz Homegirl’s just trying to help.

But rather than give up, she allows her actions to show she cares and that she’s here for more than just “having the same problems”.

I love that when Carl says, “You can’t stop me” she levels with him and tells him, “Psst. I can’t stop you, but you can’t stop me from helping you”. It’s just a really sweet way for her to show Carl, he’s not going to push her away that easily. (And also one of the many illustrations that Michonne always be knowing what to say 👏🏽👸🏾)

Also she’s honestly such a strong person when I think about it cuz it can’t be easy to be around this young boy who’s a reminder that she won’t get to see her own son grow up to be this age, but instead she doesn’t push away, she allows herself to help this kid. And she’s perseverant cuz Carl was pretty determined to push her away. 

There’s so many subtle hints that Michonne is a mom cuz when they’re in the restaurant and a large group of walkers come at them she immediately makes sure that Carl runs in front of her. And then when they make it out, I love that when Carl is adamant to go back for that picture she lays down the law and let’s him know she’ll help him get it if he stops playing games. Issa mom. 😋

And of course she goes back inside and retrieves his family picture with ease. Cuz 👸🏾.

It’s very symbolic that she’s involved in getting this picture of the first Grimes family considering she will be apart of the 2.0 family. 

It’s like she’s both handing Carl a piece of his past while also forming this bond with him that will make her an integral part of his future. 

And while it’ll be a while before Carl’s fully aware that Michonne is his second mom, it’s like this moment is saying you can still love and respect your mom while being open to a new mother figure in your life.

It’s sweet that Carl seems to be genuinely appreciative when Michonne gets him that photo. And when he says he didn’t want Judith to forget what his mom looks like. *cue internal and eternal tears* It’s precious. 😭

This moment where Carl switches from angry to kind, really reminds you that this is a little kid who has been through a whole lot and so any of that tough exterior he has seems like it comes from just trying to make it, but at his core he is still a kid. And I love that Michonne was able to reach that inner kid in Carl.

And then Michonne also gets the famous rainbow cat and I love that it’s this seemingly small moment that does a nice job of showing us a new more playful side of her personality.

And Carl’s little smile when he sees that she got that cat. ☺️ She’s definitely won him over.

Like it’s really cool that in these interactions between Carl and Michonne we’re literally watching the making of a mom and son. 😊

It’s just all and all a great moment that makes me wish we had more of these little moments that develop all the quirks and traits of the characters as people as well as the bonds they have.

Also watching this back, I love knowing that this cat is going to come up seasons later when Rick and Michonne finally realize they’re in love with each other. 🙌🏾😊

For Rick to have taken note of this rainbow cat and not forget about it all that time later, must mean she was on his radar quite a bit. Here for it. 🙌🏾

Michonne tells Carl she just couldn’t leave the cat behind but what I really appreciate is that there was something in Michonne, Carl, and Rick that made them feel they just couldn’t leave each other behind either.

This episode is great for a lot of reasons but especially because this is when Carl and Michonne’s precious friendship took root and I love that their bond would only get stronger from here.  👌🏽😊

Hey I know you probably don't have a shortage in prompts but can you do a fic where peter and Michelle hookup while studying cuz hooking up is a great stress reliever thanks.

i’ve done a couple of sweet head canons the past few days so, um, we’ve earned, collectively as a group, some ahem ahem now. i try to spread it out. LET’S DO THIS. if this wasn’t clear, it has sensitive content. 

peter loves MIT. he really, REALLY loves MIT. but its his junior year of college and all of his classes have suddenly gotten insanely hard. like, science is tough. who would’ve thought? (peter is an annoying science prodigy, he’s never had this problem before) so his midterms are murdering him. 

and MJ is having a similar problem with her pre-law studies at Harvard so they’re basically both in the process of being murdered. and being murdered is easier when murder is shared with a friend. 

so they study together. basically. that’s what happens. 

they study at MJ’s apartment because peter’s apartment is apparently, and quote, “a shit hole”. besides, MJ always has snacks. and snacks for studying are imperative. 

but after three straight days of late-nite studying, they’re both snappish and mean and tense. and then, MJ actually loses it, “can you stop breathing so loud?” peter cracks his neck, “you want me to stop breathing?” “yea, that’s what i said,” she nods. “MJ, knock it off. its not cute.” MJ drips sarcasm, “that’s my life mission, to be cute.” “you know what?” “WHAT?” she snarls. he breathes, “we need a break.”

they glare at each other for a long while and then peter cracks. he smiles. and then he’s laughing. and then she laughs, too. and the tension breaks. 

MJ wipes at her eyes, her laughter bubbling, “god, I’m so tired.” he sighs, “trust me, I know.” “and stressed,” she adds. “feel that, too,” he agrees. “i need a nap,” she informs him, “and probably an orgasm.” 

he sputters. she glances at him and grins, “oh don’t act like that wouldn’t take the edge off.” “do you mean….” he’s coughing because its all so awkward all of the sudden, “….with me?” MJ’s face gets unreadable. and that freaks him out the most. because he definitely didn’t mean it. he was tired and she phrased it weird. AND GAH. he should’ve kept his mouth shut. 

“I mean, I didn’t mean specifically with you. but, like, I could get into it.” peter shrieks, high pitched, “really?” “keep that voice up and it’s a definite no.” he clears his throat and drops his larynx, “gotcha. right, sorry.” 

MJ raises her eyebrow, then rolls her eyes, “oh c’mere.” and just like that she’s kissing him. and he would be lying if he said he had never thought about it. because he had. he thought a lot about MJ over the years. 

back in high school, probably their senior year, is the first time he thinks about MJ. he remembers it was just after he returned from the Thanos war. and she’d been there for him. just been there. he remembers falling apart and her arms being there to catch him. and one day he’d been alarmed by thinking how easy it would be to just kiss her. 

that thought had never really gone away after that. even when MJ started dating Mark….and then Harry Osborn…..and then Jonathan. it had always been present, in the back of his thoughts, that he could just kiss her. that they were friends and he could kiss her. 

NOW KISSING HER. or she was kissing him, unclear, but he was a little shell shocked. years of imaging kissing MJ was not the same as the real thing. 

“hey peter?” she mumbles between kisses, “I’m gonna need you to pay attention to this, please.” 

peter startles, and its like a light goes on. he’s aware that this is real and its happening. he rolls her over on her couch and is kissing her with all the anticipation with every imagined kiss he’s wanted over the years. the little whine she emits is a good sign that maybe he’s doing something right. the other sign is the way her body writhes under his. 

his hands dance over her body and even with a few layers of clothes between them peter can already feel how responsive her body is to his. she leans into every touch. like, fuck. 

it doesn’t take long for them to be practically dry humping each other. MJ is moaning, Peter is biting at her mouth and its all very frantic. peter unzips her hoodie and is delighted to find just a bra underneath. and then he’s troubled by that thought because does she usually not wear a shirt under her hoodie?? how many times has he hugged her without the knowledge of no-shirt? 

he spends too long thinking about this because MJ gets impatient and grabs his hands and places them where she wants them. on her breasts. he kneads them and kissing the tops of them and fumbles with her bra to get it OFF. 

once the ridiculous article is gone, peter’s mouth covers her pebbling flesh. sucking and nibbling and kissing. MJ’s hands are in his hair and he’s 90% sure he could spend the rest of her life working on her breasts. and from the OBSCENE noises she’s making, she seems pretty game for that life plan, too. 

until, she hitches, “get your pants off, Parker.” 

he’s so excited he bites at her breast and she cries out. the good kind of crying out. the kind of sobbing that sounds like she wants more. and he’s so glad because he does, too. he wants everything. 

its a mess of limbs as they tear off each others clothes. there’s a brief pause in the endgame of this activity when MJ wants to palm his member. he hides his face in her neck and curses as she works him over. but it can’t last. not if they want other things to go longer. 

he tells MJ as much, “babe, i’m not gonna last if you keep that up.” she teases, “maybe I don’t want you to last.” he nips at her ear and angles his hips to rub up against her and she keens. his smile is ridiculous, “you sure about that?” she yanks him down for kisses, “get the stupid condom, you ass.” 

and he does. 

they’re grown ass adults. the initial coupling should not make them both shiver, but it does. when peter slides in, it feels so different from what he’s used to. because, he imagines, he’s never felt this way about anyone before. MJ has been special, she’s always been special. he’s known he’s cared about her in a way that isn’t normal friendship for years. he’s known what he wanted. and now, he feels like he might actually be able to have that. more than the sex. her. he wants HER. 

she grips his back with her nails and he’s silently very glad that he’s Spider-man. fast healing is gonna help. 

they rock together. no words are spoken (which is so not peter’s way, he’s a STRAIGHT UP DIRTY TALKER). but he doesn’t want to talk. he wants to hear her breathing. wants to hear her tiny little pants. he wants to remember everything about this in case this is the only time. 

they breathe into each other’s mouths. move together. 

their hands twine. and its so soft. so tender. 

MJ grips his back tighter and her hips are more urgent. they’re both chasing release. and when she cums its with his name on her lips. 

he tumbles after her. its blinding, its like nothing he’s ever had before. it was everything. 

after, they lay together with their clothes only half off. 

he’s afraid to speak. he’s afraid to ruin this.

so MJ starts, breathless, “that was good.” he gnaws at his bottom lip, nervous, “yea?” she turns her face to look at him and he’s surprised to see how uneasy she looks too. like this might be important to her, too. he doesn’t dare hope. she nods, “yes.” 

she leans in and his EYES GO WIDE. she tentatively kisses him. its not a sex-kiss. it’s a loving one. or, so he hopes. he pulls away and stares, “you feeling less stressed?” she chuckles, “no way.” he cracks a smile, “uh, why’s that?” 

she hides her face in his neck and mumbles something. he holds his breath, “repeat that?” “i like you,” she frowns. 

“yea????” he hates how eager his voice sounds. but the way her eyes light up, how hopeful she looks, makes him regret it a little less. “yes,” she whispers. 

and how can he not kiss her??? she likes him. she LIKE LIKES him. and he’s over the moon. 

she laughs into his kiss and tries to pull away but he doesn’t let her. because MJ likes him. “Peter,” she tries, “we should talk about this.” he shakes his head and KEEPS kissing her. so she tries again, stronger, “PETER! you gotta say it back.”

and oh. how embarrassing. yes, of course he does. “I like you,” he pecks her mouth, “I like you so much.” and he drops another kiss on her mouth, “I like you so, so much.” 

so, they have sex a second time. because they BOTH LIKE EACH OTHER!!! and that’s very exciting. 

and when they come down from that second orgasm, he figures out that MJ is a cuddler. a straight up cuddler. fuckin’ hell. she’s so perfect. and his girlfriend. they decide that. after round three. 

and their midterms go well, too. which is a plus. but frankly less important than the whole boyfriend/girlfriend thing. and when finals come around they both know the perfect way to keep the edge off.

Criminal Minds s02e09 The Last Word review - or more aptly named, how dare they replace Elle like that, oh shit I fell in love with Paget Brewster from the two scenes in this episode, never mind, continue, my lovelies XD

Episode 09 – The Last Word

So last episode played on every bit of emotion I had – happy, sad, fucking crying like a baby because Derek put himself in harm’s way just to comfort a victim who could be blown to smithereens like Cooke and he was completely dependent on fucking Cassie to do her job and not fuck it up. I was in emotional shambles! I swear!

So I hope this episode would be better in that it gives me some humor fodder, but I doubt it, cuz the title is very cryptic and not helpful. And the opening shot is kids running in a park and we all know by now that if you watch Criminal Minds, something fucked up is going to happen to whoever is the first shot. Fuck.

 Oaky, so let’s recap. Sickos killing people, really hate that part. Introducing Paget Brewster as Emily Prentiss, of course, fell in love with her immediately, even though it’s super hard for me to get over Elle leaving. Gideon was awesome as per usual. Lovely Derek and Penelope scenes. Though they were few. And overall? Just yuck over the entire case. It was weird, but won’t go unappreciated. See you all tomorrow <3
