#whenever my meds kick in it feels like im gonna piss myself. not literally but its really really feels like it #and now whenever that happens my mind goes back to pancho (grandmas dog) at a xmas party years ago #bc he peed when we arrived bc he was so excited to see ppl and my cousin had to clean it up :o)#well for better or for worse i know that feeling now when im pumped on 20mg of adderall #im still getting used to this whole diagnosis thing cause ive gone untreated and undiagnosed for the longest time. so theres probably a lot #i still dont know and have to learn to get myself to be.. functional on my own? self managing????#i even set up reminders on my phone for work periods meals and stuff. but the problem is actually getting myself to stick to that to a T #because the minute i slack off or something gets in the way it throws it all off until i can be bothered to get back on track. it sucks #at least ive built up other habits like writing notes and setting alarms ahead of time.. but i feel like i could do better #its always hard to change something if youve been doing it wrong for the longest time. especially behaviour and thinking patterns. sigh #in other news my glasses bailed on me so i have to get a new pair sometime. i just realized i never draw my sona with glasses but thats #mostly bc i forget. id love to get some browline glasses like my old pair but im picky and its hard to find one id like for the next 5 year #i also finally managed to collect all the fish in my animal crossing file!!! pulled out a char last week and boom now i have a poster :o)#THAT was a moment where i almost peed myself for real. id love to get all the bugs but i cant stay up late on the switch :o(#yapping #my art #myart #doodles #personal #diary

Two weeks with Aurora! Here's a recap of life so far.

Our targeted socialization was pretty successful, we managed a bunch of different experiences and she rocked them.

Monday: Busy street at rush hour

Tuesday: Train station

Wednesday: Construction site

Thursday: Bike path next to train line

Friday: Outside a coffee shop

Saturday: Baby hike in the wild

She's still doing great in overall good citizen behaviours. She has specifically been crushing:

✅ Sleeping through the night

✅ Name recognition

✅ Basic training skills

✅ Recovering from being startled

✅ Being crated quietly

Honestly she's doing amazing, I am so so proud of her. 💜

Areas for improvement for the week include:

✴ Bullying Pike (which is improving but still not great)

✴ Demand barking and overall noise level

✴ Chewing on the couch in excitment

Our biggest victories this week include:

🎉 Baby hike 2.0 with beautiful ranging, reasonable baby recall, and great enthusiasm

🎉 Calling off play with Pike on multiple occasions

Our big goals for next week:

🚀 Less harassment of Pinecone

🚀 Working through the foundation levels of the baby conditioning class I'm taking

Really excited for the next few weeks with this girl! 💜

We visited hobby lobby a day ago and seeing the amount of grinch merch made me start thinking of a potential fic for Christmas and on the drive back I thought of the title which will be "How Mr Miller Stole Christmas"

Now I'm trying to draft a little mini-series and I'm very curious for what kind of tropes you guys would want to see, hence the poll. I also want to add that no matter what wins I want to make this an age gap fic so keep that in mind! the fic will be taking place in jackson (i might make him work in a seasonal tree farm like he helps carry the trees and chop them down and stuff so that's another addition) 🎄

#i booked my entire trip last night #also crisis fucking averted bc I thought gypsy had a sunday night show which is where i put it on my schedule #they do not and i only found out after booking everything else #LUCKILY i left friday night open so i could put it there instead #also the hotel i was planning to stay at is fully booked for the week i'm going #so more scrambling to find something close to laguardia and a subway stop and just under $200 #a very stressful endeavor!! but this trip is my xmas gift to myself so i'm happy it's on the horizon #also is there no better blood emoji. thank you so much to everyone who's been supporting my bag store! you're all absolute stars, and have been helping me out so much as i try to drag myself across the minimum income threshold for self-employed in the UK. i'm almost there!

there's 4 drinks totes left, 3 fruit totes, 2 oranges totes and just 1 mushroom tote left at reallyhardy.store, plus as winter approaches and cold and flu season comes upon us i also have a few simple folded face masks on there too.

#as a life update i went to my jobcentre appt last week #and ugh what a drama. she was like 'well you had a good august' because i was working for the art gallery in the summer #but then she was like 'but we need to see consistency. you're halfway through the startup period but your average is still...'#'half of the minimum income' which. screaming and crying lol #because like well its freelancing. it's not GOING to be consistent really #but i think if i can do more markets and especially up to xmas #that should boost me a bit #plus i mean i just temporarily closed comms but #i'll re-open them again very soon just need to catch up

I'm currently sewing a dress & yesterday I realized that I've intentionally made virtually every aspect of the process more difficult (fabric is plaid that needs to be matched, keyhole back changed to invisible zipper, zipper then requires a facing be changed to a lining, added piping to the collar & hem, etc.). I've also decided to bang out a last-minute Xmas sweater that involves carrying 3 colors for most of the knitting. Lots of questions for past me.

#I think this dress may be the project that cures me of sewing with plaids #I really do not enjoy pattern matching or knitting w/3colors #given which one might very reasonably ask why I undertook garments that require them #I do not know #I think pattern matching may be kind of like childbirth #ie if you wait long enough doing it again seems like a good idea #however in my defense I will note that the pattern matches flawlessly across the back zipper #including at the bottom of the zip #as well as at the shoulders & skirt sides #so I may be insane(r) now but at least I got the desired result #re: the sweater the 3rd color is red so if I omitted it that would really kind of kill the Xmas vibe #having written all this out I'm starting to see why my mood has not been great the last few weeks #nothing like spending hours a day doing something you find just a little too challenging #to wear your psyche down to a stubby pencil

I forgot to do a Week 4 Recap post this week but she's crushing it.

#dogblr #rory borealis #she's honestly turning into such a cool little dog #we focused more on cooperative care and conditioning this week #since it was xmas so i wasnt motivated to go out #anyway we started pivots balancing exercises and proper positioning for square sits #also worked on combing clipping and nail grinding #this week's victory was really good name recognition and learning to ask for things (food training outside snuggles)#next week's goal is more neutrally around pinecone and starting on polite greetings (all four feet on the floor)#she has her last set of vaccines and starts one of her puppy classes and has a puppy grooming session #im excited to see what she learns from them

Just scored an Eddie Munson plush toy, who now can join my Robin and Steve plush toys in my bed. The only problem is I don’t have a Nancy plush, and I don’t want her to feel left out 😭

u guys... i told my mom that when i was a kid i used to eat all the candycanes at the back of the tree so she wouldnt notice and "... and today she told me to come into the living room to show me all these candycanes she put on the tree and let me eat oen sniffle....

should i quit my job

#classic post to make at 2:30 am #i’m just. miserable #i worked so much overtime right before christmas (like starting at 9 ending at 1am kinda shit)#and it was like okay well that was a really terrible few weeks but at least it’s over!#and then today i had to work till 9pm.#we’re just so understaffed. since i started here last sept we’ve had 5 people rotate through my team and i’m currently the only member lol #when i joined this team i was the third person!! i was 3 of 3 and now im by myself!!!#and it wasn’t so bad in the summer tbh but that was like 2 months out of the entire year lol #literally since last november it’s been like things are busy but we’re working on getting some help so it will be better soon!#i just feel like i can’t keep up and im tired and im cranky and im angry and irrititable all the time #and it was taking like a genuine physical toll before xmas like went to bed feeling so shaky and awful #anyways i’ve tired myself out here in the tags so im gonna try to sleep again but know that in my heart i had more to say #personal
