a/n; ok to explain my inspo, whenever i play hsr and dan heng is dying, i heal the lovely man ofc, and his voiceline literally is "don't worry about me" (꧆▽꧆). anyw this turned out way sappier than i imagined loool

You have just arrived in the Astral Express after a long day of helping Natasha with the clinic. You’re feeling tired, and going around Belebog alone today just added to the exhaustion.

You actually missed having Dan Heng tell you to make rational choices during your quests. Without your boyfriend today, you ended up fighting probably double the enemies you needed to.. Plus, (you’d never tell her this) but you secretly missed March’s bright voice.

Speaking of her, as soon as you step into the parlor car, you’re greeted by the smiley girl. She’s sitting on one of the couches with Himeko, and they wave you over.

“y/n!” She sings, “come look! I took these today.” You approach the pair, greeting Himeko with a friendly smile and look at March’s phone with them.

“See here… this was when we were on the way to Rivet Town!” She shows you guys a selfie of herself grinning widely, with a deadpanned Dan Heng behind her. You and Himeko giggle. “The town was pretty cool. It was all dark and eerie, like some sort of ghost town! I wanted to film for you guys but the place was flooded with monsters so Dan Heng told me to put my phone away and fight. What a party pooper.….”

You smile softly as the girl continues showing you and Himeko pictures she took (and snuck) of herself, Dan Heng, and the town. “Oh yeah! On our way back here, we encountered this huuuge monster. He was big and angry, it was scary!” She widens her eyes. “Thankfully Dan Heng was there! He fought that monster like his life depended on it. Which, it did.”

She scrolls through her gallery and exclaims, “Hey, look! I managed to snap a picture of it before we fought.”

March turns the phone to show you two. The image is a little blurry but you recognise the monster. You’d fought it sometime before, and truthfully, it wasn’t an easy fight. The last time you defeated it, you were fighting with Selee, Bronya, Dan Heng and March. If it was tough for a five person team… just how much harder was it for two?

“It looks really strong, March.” Himeko speaks the words in your mind, “did either of you get hurt?” You turn to March, eyes wide with a little worry.

The girl thinks for a second before shaking her head. “Nope. I’m okay now!” She nods, pausing straight after. A sheepish smile takes over her face. “To be honest… Dan Heng did most of the fighting with that monster, heheh… I was knocked out 3 minutes in…”

You blink, heart beating just a little faster. “Is- is he badly hurt?” You ask.

March replies quickly, “Don’t worry, he said he was alright! Just a few scratches, a little sore.”

Himeko nods. “I did see him before he went to his room earlier, he didn’t look like he was in pain.”

You hum in reply. Dan Heng is strong, you know that. But you knew your boyfriend, and he never shows his pain. Even if he was a breath away from death, he’d still say ‘I’m fine’ with a blank face to anyone who asks.

You decide to excuse yourself to check on him. Nobody knows what state he could be in right now. Bruised? Bleeding? Dead??? (Okay so you are overthinking a tad bit but hey, it’s possible.)

As soon as you get to his room door, you nearly slam it open. You scan the room frantically before seeing Dan Heng, who’s sitting down on his makeshift bed with his back against the shelf behind him.

You immediately dash to his side and study him. In front of him is a box of bandaids, a bottle of antibacterial solution and a bag of cotton balls. He’s holding a soaked cotton ball too. The boy has his shirt off, and you clearly see the bruises and scars on his torso and arms. You can see the little cuts on his face, one or two looking awfully deep. Your eyes start to water at the sight. It must hurt so badly…

“you’re back already?” His voice sounds, making you look up at him. You feel like you can’t talk so you nod. Dan Heng already knows how worried you are of course, as soon as he meets your glistening eyes. He sighs. “y/n, I’m okay.”

You blink, eyes still watering as you furrow your brows slightly. “Are you sure?? It look bad babe..”

“It’s.. not as bad as it looks. Trust me- Ow.” He tries to assure you, although he accidentally winces when you touch on his cheek lightly. You widen your eyes as he closes his eyes and sighs.

“Sorry!” You peep, suddenly aware of every move you make around him. You didn’t want to make things worse.

He shakes his head, eyes fluttering open again. “It’s alright.” He replies, then moves to continue tending to his wounds on one arm. “I just need to- disinfect these.”

You watch him wince between every few words. As he proceeds to clean the rest of his cuts, you stare like a hawk, as if doing that will make the process less painful for him.

Dan Heng clears his throat. You glance up at him again and this time, you can see he looks a little shy. You tilt your head in confusion. “Um…” his eyes flicker and he looks down shyly, “would you be comfortable helping me with the cuts on my back? I can’t reach those.”

Oh! “Of course.” You nod quickly, scooting forward to plant yourself right in front of your boyfriend. You grab a cotton ball and soak it in the antibacterial solution. Meanwhile, Dan Heng turns himself around, back facing you. Secretly, he’s glad he can turn away from you, so he can hide his embarrassment.

Since the start of your relationship, you and Dan Heng have never really been a physical couple. Mostly due to the fact that he’s not the physically affectionate type. He often feel guilty about it. You never complain though, since to you, your boyfriend expresses his love in other ways that are cute and sweet.

Having never been physical, you also haven’t seen him shirtless. So this situation being the first time, Dan Heng feels a little flustered. You, being so focused on making sure his wounds are cleaned properly, don’t realise it at all.

The whole time as you’re disinfecting each wound with care, his cheeks are burning and his ears are bright red. He’s so grateful that you’re too busy to see him like this.

With all that on his mind, he barely reacts to your cleaning. Before he knows it, you’re done.

“Okay, I’m done here.” You announce, sighing in satisfaction. “You can turn around now.”

Dan Heng slowly turns back around, not really wanting to because he can still feel his face burning. You ready yourself with another soaked cotton ball. He glances at it in your hand and furrows his brows, an invisible question mark appearing above his head. “What’s that for?”

You smile softly, eyes filled with nothing but care as you scan the few cuts on his face. “Your face silly, there’s a few.” You point out. You move even closer now, placing yourself on his lap in order to do so. You focus on one scar at a time, tending to it. “Tell me if it’s really bad, okay? I’ll be gentle.”

“…Yeah.” He barely whispers. Now your faces are less than three inches apart. While you are staring at his scars, his eyes are on you and your focused face. His heart is thumping like crazy. Seeing you being so careful with him makes Dan Heng feel warm inside. He feels like he’s falling in love with you even more right there and then.

Besides a little white noise, the room is comfortably silent. Occasionally his breath hitches from the sharp pain but it’s nothing too painful.

There’s one cut left to disinfect, and this one is visibly deeper than the rest. You softly dab on it, but the stinging catches Dan Heng off guard and he flinches. “Sorry baby.” You say softly, an apologetic look on your face. “Just a little more.”

He nods, quietly speaking. “Don’t worry about me. I… It doesn’t hurt.” You simply hum in response. It’s clear that he’s lying. He never wants to cause trouble for anyone, especially for you, and you grin softly knowing that.

Moments later, you finish up by sticking a bandaid on the cut. You can finally breathe a sigh of relief. “There we go.” Your eyes meet his again, and this time you notice the flushed look on his face. You smile confusingly. “What?”

“Um.. you’re- I- uh…” Your boyfriend stutters, barely able to look you in the eyes. You’ve never seen his this flustered before. It takes a moment before it hits you.

You’re sitting in his lap. He’s shirtless. Oh. OH.

“Oh my- sorry!” Your eyes widen, cheeks getting rosy. Dan Heng looks to the side, his cheeks burning, shaking his head to say ‘no it’s fine’. You move to get up from his lap.

In the very moment, Dan Heng doesn’t know what washes over him but he grabs hold of your arm gently to stop you from getting up. Your eyes interlock, both of you flushed. “Thank you for helping me.” His whispers.

And before you can reply, his soft lips are planted onto yours.

Fluff is all well and good, and sometimes I even like it with these two- there have been a few fics where I felt like I could at least glimpse The Vision. But I tend to get really bored as soon as they enter into a standard romantic relationship together. Its now basically confirmed Sampo is from planet Kalevala according to the new textmap leaks for his upcoming event :)

Ok I think our theories of him being forged by SOMEONE or some aeon is slowly becoming true BUT the question is who?

It could be the HSR alternate of Illumiren that crafted sampo or even the Preservation. Why do I think that? Well simply put, preservation is trying to preserve anything it can possibly do-- and additionally, qiloph has a giant hammer, it would make sense for them to "make" sampo, not only for the sake of Belebog but also Kalevala who is in a similar situation as them.

The poem Sampo singing in these leaks literally talk about HIMSELF and I'm pretty sure the word "Sampo" is going to be highlighted in yellow/red during the game BC of these odd "RUBY" text around it, just to emphasise something about SAMPO.

Sampo happily singing about himself or his supposed "purpose" makes me think he's a mix of 3 paths (as in he believes in them or he embodies them in some way):

The Preservation-- he has been consistently running around belebog behind the scenes, even as far as going to penacony to get his mask back from sparkle. He's obviously trying to *preserve* belebog and save it from destruction

Elation-- this is pretty obvious. Sampo braking the 4th wall, his mask, his talk with Giovanni and scamming people. But something that doesn't add up I think is him not having his mask during the belebog quest. I think the reason why he didn't have his mask was not only BC he was retired as many people mentioned but ALSO the fact that the masks that the fools carry can corrupt them. If U watch Sparkle's myriad celestia trailer, U can tell she's being possessed by someone else like an evil spirit and how her mask has half red, half white parts. But then I think ABT Giovanni who has the same feature on his mask but doesn't seem possessed like sparkle herself. He seems very similar to Sampo, calm and rational which explains why SAMPO'S friends with him in the first place. But even then sampo seems to refuse sharing his beliefs until someone asks him and I think that shows his reluctance to return to elation

Nihilty-- this is SAMPO'S ingame path and I didn't only choose it BC it was his ingame path. You see elation and Nihility are practically the same thing. Both believe that life is nothing/joke but the only thing that sets them apart is that nihility just does nothing and awaits for that meaningless end, while the elation is just like "if everything is meaningless than I might just have fun". I feel like Sampo does fall under this category and his backstory will have elements linking to the nihility but that's just my speculation.

I also suspect that sampo was hired by Elio like sparkle BC how else does he know the future? I thought that since sampo may be the emanator of elation, it might relate to that but if he did know the future, during the penacony masquerade duet quest, why did he make a surprised expression when sparkle said she wouldn't give his mask back as a joke? Shouldn't he have known that sparkle was joking if he knew the future? I don't think he was acting here

so I'm thinking that perhaps, Sampo was also hired by Elio. There isn't much to prove this, but if you have a look at firefly's trailer, you can see the stelleron hunters walking on a bridge located in belebog

Also, I think a person on twitter found a note in rivet town from blade saying "you will never get away from me" (dan Heng I pity U).

Since the stelleron hunters didn't take the stelleron from belebog, and let tb do the work, why were they even there to begin with? To give sampo the script methinks.

Saw ur tags and Ayes YESYESYES i 100% feel that sampo evading gepard is absolutely NOT out of gepard bring incompetent but sampo being So Fucking Competent at getting away. Like sampo being the most wanted in belebog isnt cuz he does the most heinous crimes far from it because hes the ONLY one who has evaded arrest for so long. Like any other mfer would be caught by gepard and detained in a week or two. A month at MOST.

And like like like even in canon sampo is Unusual. Like gepard is so insanely competent and intelligent n good at his job that it takes a guy like sampo who leaves no footsteps and pulls off impossible feats for someone to escape him. Like they are the perfect immovable object vs unstoppable force.

Hsr update was a thing that happened... I'm just wondering what is HAPPENING with the writing?? Like it was never good imo but they know how to write in a few companion quests. Like belebog are y'all okay?? I've unistalled the game temporarily so I can have space for my other games but am wondering if I should even bother going back (I probably will for Like a character design I like or for nanook or yaoshi or xipe) the story just keeps getting more confusing in terms of direction. Like what are they trying to show here? Even the game play can't keep my attention long.

Dan Heng being sick and calling for Ren while in delirium…

His brace sends a fuming hot sensation to the other half of the pair. In a few hours, Ren appears and at the front door of the Express, demanding to be in. He would tell them to not treat DH with medicine for humans because it won’t work. Then Welt asks, clearly unhappy, “And you know?”

“I do, I know more about him than you all and he himself. Now, let me in before the poor boy suffers even more.”

He kneeled next to DH’s cushion, carefully checking his body’s temperature, eye movement, and pulses. He then takes DH into his arms, along with his blanket because the male ofc stripped himself off his clothes due to the heat.

“Which way to the infirmary?” he asks. The child of Kafka reluctantly leads him to a room at the end of the hall. Fortunately, they do have all the needed equipment for the treatment. Ren isn’t a healer, he is far from it, he still requires Kafka or Silver Wolf to patch him up. But this, healing this small jade dragon is something he knows very well. He works effortlessly around needed substances, needles and fluid transfer. Sick dragons need ultimate care and attention because their bodies are so complex. Whenever IL got sick, an army of healers was summoned to take turns in caring for him. Ren was dragged in a lot of times because the lord clung to him and most of the healer was totally beaten. The same thing is happening with the Express crew taking turns guarding outside the door and bringing him food as he is working tirelessly curing DH.

On the fifth day, DH still cannot open his eyes for more than 5 minutes and his body keeps switching between cold and hot. Ren decides they have to do “it”. Prolonging the condition won’t do him good, it is actually more harmful the more it drags on. He walks out the door and asks 4 people who are waiting outside. 

 “Any of you having a Wind alignment?”

They look among each other and shake their head, “There is guy named Sampo in Belebog,” Kafka’s child says. “Why Wind, tho? What does Dan Heng need that we can’t provide?”

“He needs an elemental fluid transfer. And since he is Wind, ..” Ren trailed off, “I guess I’m taking it in my own hand again?”

The dragon lord in his memory wasn’t this burning hot. His skin has always been pleasantly cool and soft and bouncy. The person under him right now is too exhausted to even breathe properly, he is crying too much even when he is losing fluid with his voice hoarse. He pours the elemental fluid of Wind into tea cup and brings it DH’s lips.

“IL,” he softly calls. “You have to be awake while taking this.” The male whines. His jade eyes blur with sleep but he obediently let Ren pulls him up.

After 3 days of continuously giving DH the elemental fluid, the male finally wakes up feeling clear-headed and light. The first thing he notices is that he is naked, his bare thighs rubbing against each other. The second thing he notices is that he is lying on a handsome man’s arm, with his bandaged, naked chest right in front of DH’s face. The man is warm in a pleasant way that makes him unconsciously purr and wants to snuggle further. It takes a moment for his brain to click and he realizes that is a Stellaron Hunter lying in bed with him. His heart’s beats throb loudly in his chest as he freezes, trying to understand the situation.

“Don’t stress yourself, you just get better,” Ren pats his head, calmly rolls out of bed to stretch himself. His muscle rips, his bones cracked like he was in a bad sleeping posture all night. Noticing DH’s gaze on his naked top, he flashes him a smirk then gets to the table with scattering equipment and medicine.

“Take this last dose and you are good. I also have to go, that’s all of my paid leave.” He gives DH the same cup of liquid and the male obediently takes it. The substance is sticky and dense, making him struggle to swallow all in one go. He doesn’t dare to close his eyes in front of the enemies and meets Ren’s trailing on his throat’s movements before returning to his face.

“Good boy,” the man smirks and turns to redress and packs his belonging. He takes his shirt that somehow ends up next to DH. He ties his hair into a small bun like in the past. Like the wind, he is already at the door and goes through the crowd of 4 people and 1 rabbit. He leaves just like that without a word or a look back.

my HSR theory about warp jumps and the timeline

So I was doing some thinking recently (read: last night in bed) and...I came up with some interesting ideas. And it has to do with the warp jumps. Also, Spoilers, but that should be obvious.

We know that warp jumps are basically like going through space tunnels of sorts- you go in one end and end up somewhere else at the other. We also know the train can't jump near another planet, and I assume it works kind of like the Dinosaur Train from the show of the same name. Where you travel for a bit, but to get somewhere else you go through a tunnel.

Now for timelines.

Average stops of the Express are 7 days per destination. At the Herta Space Station, the crew arrives presumably the day the Trailblazer wakes up. Within the same day, said Trailblazer manages to make some friends, defeat a giant monster, and then get knocked out for another day. I'm guessing the Express at least sticks around, to at least help clean up a little (there's a quest where you can log photos of the Express for compensation, and since the guy put together a list of several items already I'm guessing that happens towards the end of the stay). So let's asume the 7-day stop is normal. Plus, most medical professionals don't recommend immediately setting off on adventures right after something ike the Stelleron in your chest going haywire and having a guy knock you out for safety. So let's assume they stay at the HSS for a week, at the least.

Later on, March talks about how the Trailblzer is in charge of washing the coffee cups this week. And in Belebog, interacting with the luggage outside the Overworld hotel says "as a member of the Express, you know the importance of keeping luggage safe" or whatever. You have a suspicious amount of loyalty to the Express, and I'm not entirely convinced that's just your overcreative mind (cough cough hotel devil cough cough) being creative. And surely the Express won't warp jump twice in a row, it seems like it takes a bit of prep and timing and stuff. At any rate, time has definitely passed between Belebog and the Loufu.

So here's where my theory comes in.

We know that the tunnels are not like those in the show Dinosaur Train (hey look it's a good example of something simillar alright-). The tunnels in the show have a little bit inside them, like a normal tunnel, and they're not actually instant. We've seen the inside of tunnels and the outside of long tunnels. The warp jumps can't really be like this, because it's short enough that someone sitting on a couch wouldn't have too much reason to get up. And stuff on shelves and stuff like the books in the archives or the chess table seem to only shift slightly, instead of many tremors rocking them slowly off their positions.

So the warp jump is instant. And like a quick bout of turbulence, if March falling is anything to go by. So where does the time come in, because surely they don't go on and adventure, come back, maybe sleep one night in their beds, then instantly go off for another week of adventure. That'd cause burnout. And make having decorated rooms and whatever pointless. And it's also just impractical- no time to log things, clean and sharpen weapens, etc. But it's not too long a period, because you're still considered a newbie to the crew through the Jurilo-VI stuff.

My guess is there's a day or two in between leaving a planet and finding a place to warp jump from. It's probably a huge shift of energy and sending a planet off its gravitational path is never a good idea. So the Express has to travel otu to the literal middle of nowhere to warp jump. When they exit, they're able to get a lot closer to their destination, but there's still at least a couple of hours before they actually are able to dock. It's like with space rockets and space stations iRL- before any propulsion towards Earth can happen, the vehicle has to move away from the space station so that it doesn't send the station off-course or something.

So what's the timeline?

A week at the Herta Space Station, I'd give three days at the least Half a day to a day traveling out to the warp point. They hit the ice planet maybe around a noon hour, disembark (no idea how long that takes or hwo that happens), arrive in Belebog in the afternoon, explore a bit, then go to sleep. The next day, they have the whole thing and spend the next couple of nights in the underworld hotel and defeating the Stellaron.

Within a five-day period (they stay one more night at the Overworld hotel) they're back on the Express. They presumably decide where to go next the day after they return to the Express (because Dan has his nightmare on the Express), but I imagine they have anywhere from a few days to a week before they actually get to the Loufu. (I don't know how March calmed down so fast between talking to Dan and voting though...)

So in short: the Trailblazer has been part of the Nameless for around two weeks, take or give anywhere from that to a solid month. This allows plenty of time to settle in, rest between adventures (not every planet has nice hotels to stay in I reckon), enjoy a nice breakfast with the Astral Express family and get yelled at by Pom-Pom for not eating immediately, etc. Trains also have to travel some distance- surely it's not all warp jumps and long stop periods, trains runnign passanger routes tend to run for at least a bit before stopping at a station.

and wow did not expect this to be this long and I'm sure there's more info I missed and stuff, but that's my theory. I guess what me know what ya'll think. Apologies if it sounds a bit far-winded, it's a very late hour and I am definitely not awake but I had to get it out because it felt like something discussion worthy.

Reader as prhopet of aeon that represents the chaeos: aeon of chaos belives the universe as is it is chaotic and becose of that universe is perfect so anyone who wants to destroy the universe or make evryone imortal are enemy of chaos

As for how reader becomes the prophet of the aeon of chaos well that simple the chaos helped readers home planet in deafting the fragmentun monsters and reader and few other are the first of pepoles who chose to take path of chaos

And reader as the prophet has role of spreading the knowledge of chaos to more and more pepole in universe and is good at it

As for reader personality they are kind of like trailblazer or travler form genshin impact but if we chose most of the time the funny lines like calling painon emergency but they can be serious if the situation is died or if some one badmouth the aeon of chaos

Some context before we dive in: the "Prophet of Chaos" role is a title specifically for the soul that is chosen with the highest blessing of Chaos—given by the Aeon of Chaos themselves, Khaos.

The Prophet of Chaos's job is to spread word of the principles that the Aeon of Chaos heavily believes in. In Reader's home world, Erisnyx, the Prophet of Chaos also maintains the shrine estate that is dedicated to Khaos.

They don't mind anyone else that do not worship Khaos—so long as they behave themselves. Because they are blessed with the Path of Chaos, anyone who dares defy their words in the Shrine of Chaos will meet their unrestful doom.

You, the Reader, have decided to take a slight detour on the traditions, wanting to see the vast universe outside of Erisnyx while also maintaining your job as the Prophet of Chaos.

Naturally, when you meet others, religion isn't always going to be your first topic. Not even with friends, sometimes.

Bronya Rand

The first time you both met, you were as chaotic as ever that Bronya was beginning to worry that you might cause trouble in Belebog.

Safe to say, she was relieved when you behaved yourself. Now you guys were friends—mainly because of you throwing your chaotic-self into her life. It's made quite the impact.

She's actually pretty glad that you're in her life lol. She isn't sure how she got someone with a nice yet chaotic balance such as yourself. You were basically the scale, the fine line, of chaos and peace.

When you randomly mention right out of the blue that you're actually a Prophet of Chaos—someone blessed by the Aeon of Chaos themself—she was kind of shocked. I mean, sure—she's seen stellarons and the trailblazer get...you know...but this was a little more different. You were completely normal, someone that anyone would assume to be just one of those "gremlin friends"

"So...Khaos causing chaos, simply because they believe the universe is chaotic and it's perfect that way?" "That's why trash cans are a miracle to walk upon."

Yes, that's how it goes. Your chaotic-self messing up Bronya's brain of comprehension. Not that she's complaining—she loves you the way you are :)

Fu Xuan

The moment she foresaw you in one of her divinitions, Fu Xuan thought she would have to deal with another, and perhaps even greater than the General himself, headache and nuisance.

When she first met you, though, she was surprised. You were not only chaotic, but very peaceful. You were a perfect balance—as if the hexagrams, the stars, and the planets have aligned perfectly, in harmony, forever and always.

Sure, you do give her a headache from time to time, but she's overall glad to have you for a friend (or something more 👀), even if you do do stupid things.

When you tell her that you were the Prophet selected by the Aeon of Chaos themself, Fu Xuan isn't exactly surprised. It doesn't take that much to connect the dots that you follow a specific aeon and their principles—following the Path of Chaos actually fits you, if she was being honest.

"I can certainly see how you fit your role, Y/N. You certainly have the personality and strong will to hold these principles to your heart." One of the few times she smiles, even if it is a small one. The Master Diviner is also highly interested of what you do back in your homeland, so please indulge her in a few stories on her break time!

Silver Wolf

When she first met you, she didn't think much about you. Not until you practically bombed your way into her path.

She absolutely loves your chaotic energy, even if she won't say it. Sure, sometimes they're a little too much, but it's endearing to be with people that interest you, no?

When she gets to know you better Silver Wolf is pretty intrigued of how you became the Prophet of Chaos. Did you have to go through trials? Challenges? Rites? What kind of stuff do you do? Where they that boring that you left your homeland?

"So the entire universe is just a perfect form of chaos?" Though her tone doesn't show it, Silver Wolf's perspective of this entire game that is the universe gets suddenly shifted when you're around now. It's like you can make even the most mundane and boring things into a grand invitation for an epic event that doesn't disappoint.

"Be sure to touch some grass." Silver Wolf also loves your sense of humor. You fit her gamer slang too well.
