The only thing that would've made this better is if Michael had somehow emerged from the Scottish wilderness and they shared that glass of whisky together in the firelight...

despair
hiii hello yes it's me the guy that started drawing bible stuff for no reason I'm back uwu
I did done a jesus design here's some other sketches of He:
anyways I watched + read "the last days of judas iscariot" simultaneously this morning (and by this morning I mean at 3am in the morning and then sleep for 2 hours before having to wake up I am so fuckin tired lmaoo) and then just
fuckin
chew on the near end stuff (predictable I know) but also like
it's interesting lol
I'm not really verse in any kinda religious stuff (I'm atheist my whole life and will probably continue to be atheist) so i can't tell you if anything related to religion in the play is accurate but liek
the difference between this version of judas vs jcs judas and how those differences change bits n pieces of the story is interesting uwu
anyways sth sth the black halo in this instance represents despair and how judas is trapped in it in the end and while jesus is there the halo fractured and becomes those spiky things but it still lingers around judas and ultimately return back into being a halo just like how judas went back into catatonia
sth sth I will chew their small (but real fuckin juicy) interaction into mush that shit is so good to me
also I love saint monica and mary m lol shout out to them
also also this was the production I watched + where the poses came from
screenshots I used:
side note I love how they execute the set lol such a versatile lil set and use of lighting to convey different places n emotions n shit I love I stan

the other ask made me remember the weird pro-life implications of the inception date day . . .
It's a rather awkward worldbuilding detail that I think a lot of us tend to avoid. It's mostly implication and isn't really relevant to anything (so far)
Many people have said it, but it also seems like it's inclusion has nothing to do with pro-life ideology or exploring the elves' beliefs and reasoning. Instead, it serves to decrease the age difference between the MC and her love interests, as the younger you are the more significant each year is. the pro-life associations are just a side effect
I'm not opposed to fictional cultures with different beliefs and ideologies. In fact they serve as great thought experiments and opportunities to explore other perspectives (even if in the end I still disagree). What are the implications, what changes, who is impacted and how, does this make sense for this species/culture and why, etc.
The inception date concept, however, doesn't really serve that purpose. it's an offhand, meant to fix Sophie's relative age, but carrying a lot of unexplored secondhand consequences and baggage. Which is a shame, because it's left so many of us in this awkward place. we don't get the satisfaction or intrigue of the thought experiment, just uncomfortable associations
I think it either deserves more time and proper explanation or should just be scrapped. Either commit or not, but this passing mention isn't fulfilling

Do you ever read 570,000+ word, 130+ chapter fanfics that were started nearly 8 years ago and have current year updates, and as you get to the end of certain chapters along the way, you keep going "wow, I would have hated to be here in 201x and have to wait for THAT cliffhanger, those poor readers, those sad, desperate historical souls" and you're just so glad for yourself because you know you don't have to stop until chapter 139, and you arrogantly assume that's probably just extended epilogues or something (because you were previously conditioned by another fic to believe that), so everything will be fine?
Only to get to chapter 139 and SCREAM OUT LOUD because you jinxed yourself right into THE NEWEST WAVE OF CLIMATIC PLOT CHAPTERS WHERE ALL THE SHIT IS GOING DOWN and now you, too, have become the reader you felt such pity for?
Wait, you don't?
THEN GO OVER THERE AND DO WHAT I DID SO I DON'T HAVE TO BE ALONE IN MY HUBRIS. It comes with art. So. Much. Wonderful. Comic. Art.
I would like to stress (as I have done before) that I have never played this game. Not once. I had never even heard of it originally. Yet this is now the second absolutely massive Sans x reader/OC fic I have read in this fandom. Everything I know about Undertale, I learned because one day on a whim I decided to read a 480,000+ word, 170+ chapter fanfic because I liked the way @tricktster used words on some tumblr post (don't ask me which one, I've forgotten). I have re-read that fic at least once a year, if not more, for multiple years in a row because it's like a favorite book to me now.
If anyone needs me, I'll be comfort-reading it, again.
And then probably going back and re-reading JoAT, because oh my god that fic. I'm just so in love with it for a million reasons.
(Yes, it took me this long to see there was another glorious treasure in plain sight under @capnhanbers despite following @mod2amaryllis and it's just really embarrassing to be confronted by that kind of obliviousness, okay? Can I blame it on how, multiple times now over the years, I've gone months and months without looking at this app unless it notified me of something specific?)
I swear, I have never read fic in any other fandom where it was this easy to immerse myself in it with nothing more than some light googling along the way (the first time with CoBC), and the googling was just because I'm me and I like to know all the things. In both cases, you don't have to come to the table with anything other than an interest in supernatural-elements stories (monsters, magic, etc) and a love for snappy dialogue and funny (dad) jokes and HEART-WRENCHING FEELS and watching the author having a life journey in the notes.
(And yes, sure, an open mind about a skeleton monster and a human having magical sex, but if you know you're in a rated fic about monsters and humans, you must know that's going to be a thing.)

I noticed your a Jeremy Jordan fan
name 5 reasons why your a fan of him rn 🔫
Ahhhhhhhhhh?!
Talent. This one is very obvious. The man's voice is a wonder to behold. The gorgeous tone? The range? The versatility? All of it is stunning. Can't cope.
(Me, not him. He rarely breathes.)
Passion. In his performance. The excitement he pours in and raw emotion he gives. Listening to him talk about his roles and his shows and the art and process of creating them. This is probably one of the biggest things after initially discovering his voice (see above) that got me so attached. I adore this SO MUCH.
(this is in everything but I shall be using Barrie because that is also a huge reason why his Barrie is the best Barrie and no one else can compare for me.)
Dorky little goofball under it all. Probably self explanatory. He is unpretentious and fully himself and we love him for it.
But also a little softness. The way he talks about Ashley and Clara. The way he watches Ashley perform like his heart is about to bust with love and pride. 🥹💕
This:
Like I'm supposed to not be a straight up puddle now?! 😭💕
But also going beyond his family and hearing him speak kindly and highly of his co-stars and teams he has worked with. Getting to see his love and respect and appreciation for them and the bonds they build.
All of these things mixed together (and more but I already tried to cram a lot into the above points) is a sprinkle of pure magic I cannot adequately word. 🥹✨ It's magnetic.
And I'm only barely touching on all the things these points encompass. So like all of this and more but also amplified.
(I might be making myself love him even more writing this.)

if dorian didn't show up, do you think louis would have shot minnie?
I do. I know some people think either he wouldn't have or he would've missed so that's why the writers had him shoot Dorian instead, but mmmmmm no, I don't personally think so. I like to think that if he had taken the shot, his shaky hands would've caused him to shoot her fatally.
Mostly because I'm already so normal about the fact that of the Ericson crew, Marlon and Louis are the only ones with a body count. Well, that we know of, but shown to us in the game, at least. Plus, we know it's Louis' first kill.
Like yeah, Clementine and AJ become part of the crew and they have bigger body counts, and if we're counting indirect kills caused by actions, then Tenn has a count... and I guess everyone has blood on their hands for blowing up the boat... but I'm talking about killed directly with a weapon like....... I lied, I'm not normal about that at all, Louis and Marlon are the ones who have killed someone in Louis' route. I'm also not normal about the fact that Louis kills Dorian and then even as he's clearly in shock, he tries to go with Clementine to get AJ, and then later on when they talk about it, he says it feels like bile but not quite and he's glad he has it in him to do it.... listen, listen, listen... I'm obsessed with that.
Anyway, so if Louis shot Minerva, I think he would've accidentally killed her and can you imagine? He's already enough of a mess after killing the woman who pinned him down and tried to cut his finger off [or succeeded] but he knew Minerva, they were friends before the twins were taken. Even Violet couldn't kill her even though that would've been the smarter thing to do, and we know thanks to meta knowledge that killing her would've saved lives, but Violet couldn't, and I don't think Louis would intentionally either.
Speaking of Violet, if Louis killed Minerva, I hate to think about what that would've done to Vi. I think she might've actually left at that point, like what was planned before it got changed to her being burned. I don't think she would've attacked Louis over it, though, like yeah she attacked Clementine in the cell but Louis? I don't know, but I don't think so just because it's Louis and he'd be a mess about it anyway.
Though if he did kill her, it would be a neat parallel to draw... y'know, because Louis forgave AJ for killing Marlon even though he was pissed and heartbroken, and Violet was annoyed with him the entire time... but could she ever forgive Louis for killing Minerva? Y'know? We already have a similar parallel with AJ shooting Tenn, but still.
If Clementine killed Minerva in that moment, though, then I could see Violet attacking her since in her eyes, Clem proved her right.
So yeah, I get why they added the Dorian kill to his route. It adds another compelling element to Louis as a character, but we also need Minerva alive for episode 4; Louis can't kill her, he can't miss, and he's not going to stay with her because we need Violet to stay on the boat and him to be on shore for all routes.
