something like tim convinces himself that robin has to be a Boy™ and then steph becomes robin and shatters that conviction and all his repressed gender feelings come spilling out, but actually letting go of that conviction isn’t all that easy
if there's no homoerotic tension between you and the manifestation of your alter-ego that you’ve constructed in your mind, do you really have identity issues?

jasico server was chatting about the cupid scene and jason getting nico's memories blasted straight into his brain and how jason being shot with one of cupid's arrows while with nico and this was just never brought up in canon again and now i'm thinking like...what if that's just how cupid's arrows work? not by magically manifesting love for someone out of nothing, but by giving someone the perspective that'd make them fall in love naturally? jason gets a front row seat to nico's memories and instantly understands him intimately and can trust him completely without any doubt or suspicion
so what if jason, after slowly realizing he's totally in love with nico, just thought back to the arrow incident and it made him second-guess everything? because maybe he's only feeling this way because cupid hit him with an arrow with only nico was around and it's no different than any other god messing with his love life

alternative reasons to avoid bringing your brother in law into a conspiracy or a conversation between caesar and cassius
this scene is set sometime after Brutus and Cassius have switched over to Caesar's side during the Pompey-Caesar conflict.
in a different comic, I wrote about about how cassius isn't a dog that needs to be tamed, but that depends on which side of the playing field you're on. if you're Caesar, Cassius is someone you need to leash down immediately, and the complicated social web of debt is one way to do it!
Cassius is inescapably tied to Brutus: the sandbox bond of childhood best friends, brothers-in-law with Servilia bringing Cassius into the family, and a third time with Brutus asking for Cassius' life. if you're going to bring a man who clawed his way out of a horrific defeat that killed your patron and later joined up with your rival in a civil war (twice aligned with the other two heads of the three headed monster you were a part of!) under your heel, reminding him of the only bond that could hope to rival with his family ancestry is one way to do it!
Cic. Phil. 2.26
Brutus, Plutarch (trans. Scott-Kilvert)
The Defeat of Rome: Crassus, Carrhae and the Invasion of the East, Gareth C. Sampson
Civil Wars, Caesar, III. 101 (trans. A. G. Peskett)
Servilia and Her Family, Susan Treggiari
Caesar and the Dangers of Forgiveness, Barry Strauss
tbh, there's probably an additional subtext (there is, I was thinking about it) on how Crassus used 'softer' means than force to bind people to him (again, the politics of debt and patronage) and how Caesar takes after him in some ways here. it didn't last, tho. in 45 BCE Cassius voted against giving Caesar honors. (Cass. Dio 44.8.1)

Your new hold my heart fic was soooooo good!!! I really loved the ending that Obiwan actually DID SUCCEED in pulling Anakin out of darkside with his c*nt lol I was like 'omg Anakin really became a Sith for Obi :'( I knew it but still so sad :'( Obi would be devastated :'(' but then Obi began to make sad puppy eyes to his master and say some banthashit like 'u only need me not empire🥺' and I GASPED. He's just as crazy as his master. I loved it so much.
obi-wan literally wins the award for most manipulative within FIVE minutes of realizing his master loved him more than anything in the galaxy and to the point of insanity, he was like 'um so please abandon empire for me? 🥺👉👈'
and he won!!! vaderkin said yeah ok sounds amazing can i fuck you again!!!
but is he actually out of the dark? questionable. is he on his way to be redeemed?? questionable!!! is he kicking and screaming the entire way??? oh 100%
what does their post jedi order, no empire relationship look like? because it is definitely not as light as obi-wan always daydreamed about but it is not as dark as anakin always thought it had to be
