The part at the end where toshiros like I know his gait from the sound of the bell by heart so i 100% know its him. he was listening the whole time! like a second heartbeat. Very metaphorical for their relationship. its a challenging relationship for the both of them but they dont give it up bc they care about each other.

thats love honestly i was genuinely moved by the interplay of toshiro laios n kabrus relationship. that laios promises hell eat w kabru on his terms even tho kabru wasnt upfront abt the monster thing initially giving him a motive to return. and how shuro gave him the bell as a promise hed bring him back to the surface no matter what. And he fulfills it even when laios leaves the bell behind bc he knows him so well To the surface and live among other ppl.

but thru kabru and shuro we see that no one in the world understands anyone else completely- thats why they enter the story w awful first impressions. As well as like well. Thats probs how laios comes off to other ppl

Hwoarang probably belongs in the strong section — given he has canonically defeated Jin and Devil Jin. Therefore, he seems a similar power level as Paul. Buuut... tbf, when he beat Devil, it was likely during a time when Devil and Jin were in a weakened state. Given it was just after the fight with Azazel, both of them seem to be struggling to move during that time, and they both fell into a coma shortly after. Plus Hwoarang also lost to Devil Jin in both TK5 and teeeechnically TK8 (the tournament)

So... interesting! I wonder if Hwoarang is capable of beating a Devil Jin that is not weakened? Thooough... I also dunno if Asuka belongs in "human (strong)" lbr. Yes, she possesses power, but she doesn't know nor has ever canonically used them. Also like, she's never canonically had any impressive feats. Xiaoyu has defeated a gang of Jacks robots, mostly on her own, both Xiao and Hwoa has given Jin a hard time in sparring or fighting matches. But Asuka...? She uhh... canonically defeated Jack-8? But like, after Alisa has already worn him down a bit, and Lili helped Asuka do that lol. Actually, doesn't Leroy have more impressive feats than Asuka? (Saving New York or whateves)

Also don't see how Law belongs in the "human (strong)" category either. Like Asuka, he just doesn't have any feats that prove this. He's Paul's sparring buddy, but I don't recall him defeating Ogre or getting into a draw with Kazuya lol.

AND LIKE, TECHNICALLY SPEAKING CANONICALLY - human (strong) is probs more impressive than being a bear in the eyes of the Tekken world. Like maybe irl it's about impossible to fight a bear on your own, but Tek doesn't work that way lol

so this post might be pointless, and not to have yet another malconaire family thread running, but i was responding to aoife's comment <3 and i realized there's a lot i don't know about the girls' parents and i'd love to hash that out w you guys, if lizzy doesn't already know? @thelongforgottenrealm

ok so first id love to establish first names for our love birds? [ this site ] might help w that ;D next, id like to discuss a lil their timeline as well as the broader timeline re: valentina and her kids coming onto the scene etc, bc, for example, the thing tht actually spurred this comment was me realizing i have no idea if rosie remembers her mom at all!

speaking of, rosie's bio says she doesn't remember much abt when they were wealthy, so we know that she was still pr small when valentina arrived on the scene, and from that im guessing their mama died pr early into in her life but im not sure how long lord m was a widower -- was it decades? years? months? esp since the remarriage we now know was politically motivated it really could've been any timeframe at all since it wasnt him moving on, etc

but anway! yeah basically just a few basics would be great <3

so yeah to get us started imma start w what we know (using the first event as year 1 since im not sure what the years supposed to be plus lbr roderick's probs did smth stupidly dramatic like re-starting the calendar w year 1, day 1 being his coronation day etc smdh so who even knows whats going on)

so some notes!! i believe @forgottencassimir said...somewhere haha that cassimir was probs abt ~teenage when valentina married lord m, so that puts the marriage likely between years 31-37, and we know that rosie hardly remembers their wealth at its full height, as well as the fact that valentina was the direct cause of its loss, so she was probs 6-8 when that happened, so that puts their marriage between years 35-37ish, most likely (also never fully appreciated the age gap between rosie and cassimir till i started really thinkin abt this alksdjfaklsdfj), so we're safe to say, i think, that lady m was def dead by year 37 also, i don't want to assume anything, but i do think we're pr safe to say that the battle of m took place in the year 48 and, therefore, that lord m died in year 48

this means that the smallest amount of time lord m spent without the woman he loved was 11 years SOB, and it ALSO means that at the smallest range valentina and he were married that long, and that its been at LEAST 13 years since the marriage of lord m and valentina and thus their kids have been siblings all that time/she's been their stepmom that long etc, but possibly for even longer!

So first off let me say I am acting purely as a researcher for this bc lbr this is probs the only Vasilieva wedding we’ll see in-game, given that even if Valentina or Sonya were to marry in-game it’d probs be w the traditions of their husbands etc and, while Valentina did have a Vasilieva marriage in the past, I don’t have any particular thoughts or feelings abt it, so you guys go wild w what you’d like/wouldn't like w any of this, its just meant to be helpful ;DDDD

Grooms pay a ransom to the brides family to take her

Usually there’s a wedding week or so not just a wedding day

Actual ceremony takes place on first day w feasts etc ongoing all week

for the ransom, the guests and participants divide, not by family, but by gender, save for the bride's father who stays w her

the bride arrives fully veiled between her parents, and the groom appears w a fully veiled female family member (of the bride, I'd assume, but it almost sounded like it was one of ~his family members? it had clearly been translated into english tho and idk if i understood correctly) beside him, w the men symbolically exchanging veiled women after the ransom is paid. the families often haggle before the exchange w random money and gifts often being exchanged between both parties before an engagement is reached

the bride and groom exchange gifts, w the bride often giving the groom a needle or a whip, and the groom offering the bride a scepter and a ring in return. if she accepts he then swears publically to marry her in exchange for her fidelity

the groom's mom carries an axe (valentina: !!!!!!) through the gateway, indicating the beginning of the wedding

there's usually a doll decoration to catch the well wishes of the witnesses, which is afterward washed and kept by the couple for good luck in their married lives

after the gorko toast, the second toast is made to the parents (valentina: finally, things are about me again)

Hello and don’t worry your q was quite well written! Though it took me a few moments to realise you used “he” in the context of an MC haha. Succinctly, Rire’s charm (or at least the way he uses it) is very suggestion based so people believe that something is their own decision. As such they retain their personality due to this illusion of free will. Of course, Rire can suggest something completely out of character for someone, but the point is they wouldn’t notice this until later, if at all.

Oh sure he’s def had a number of diff looks (though his hair will never be too short, like Baby BTD! Rire is the shortest it will ever get lol), and whilst the black/yellow is his signature pref he does wear other colours too. I’ve drawn him as such occasionally :D

I often get asks like this about whether Rire will find [x aspect of a person] interesting and all I can say that’s not in my FAQ is that it depends a lot on what the person in question has to offer in terms of entertainment value (according to whatever criteria Rire has in mind at the time). Simply having a trait is not what he would find interesting - it’s in how you use it ✌🏻
