Hi, my name’s Omega! And this is my dad-brother Hunter, and my mom-brother Echo, and my wine aunt-brother Crosshair, and my big brother Wrecker, and my little brother Tech, and my uncle Rex, and my pirate vodka aunt Phee, and my surprise sister Emerie, and my lizard-dog Batcher, and my long lost DNA brother Boba Fett, and
Designs for adult versions of the clone cadets in bad batch as Rebellion leaders
The first weird thing I noticed was that they kept specifying that tbb are "defective CTs", whereas iirc most other clones leave out the "ct" part. additionally, "special training" must have been a reasonably expected occurrence for them, since it was used as the Hemlock-jungle-lab excuse. they're also, oddly enough, the only three survivors from a base full of both cadets and adult clones. and finally, all three of them have noticeably different face shapes.
so my guess for their origins is that they're the results of the kaminoans trying to replicate tbb's mutations in a commando template, making them all specialized CC command cadets. From what we've seen of them, they don't seem to have quite as prominent abilities as say, wrecker or hunter, but are definitely above average to have survived that long.
Anyways the mini-backstory for them here is that they end up joining the rebellion around 5 years later (assuming that they're 6/12 and 8/16 in tbb s3, they would be 11/22 and 13/26 here) as the lead squad for the clone rebel cell after rex, wolffe, and gregor retire (and echo and cody are presumably dead).
Bonus: I originally had Deke's hair as dyed blond, but then he started looking too much like Rex (esp with the jaig eyes and partial arc armor) so I changed it back
edit: sorry i forgot to tag spoilers at first! it has since been fixed
Remember when aos introduced a new character in 2018 and made a one off joke about lemons and from then on the whole fandom loved him and called him Lemon Boy and at the beginning of the next season we weren't even sure if he would come back but then he did come back and not only that but he came back owning a company with yellow decorations and a lemon logo and lemon trees and lemon posters and the ep was called Code Yellow . Remember that? THAT is fan service

The Bad Batch Season 3 Actors/Behind the Scenes Incorrect Quotes Masterlist 🎬
Pretty convenient that all the insane time travel and Deke stuff happens when Fitz and Simmons are in a (relatively) stable relationship. It’s the future. Theoretically, they could’ve been sucked into the future earlier, they just weren’t.
Things might’ve been crazy in season 5, but imagine how much crazier it would’ve been if Fitz and Simmons met their grandson at the beginning of season 3. Simmons is still dealing with the aftermath of Maveth and her feelings for Will and she finds out she and Fitz have a literal grandson.
Imagine if they met him sometime in season 2, where Simmons isn’t even sure what she’s feeling about Fitz and all that he said at the bottom of the ocean, and everything is complicated and strange.
Imagine if Fitz and Simmons met Deke in season 1. Two best friends. One might have feelings for the other. They meet their grandson.
