I learned today that there are, in fact, Worse eye exams than I had previously been aware of. I’ve literally broken bones and had it be less painful than the photographs they took of my eyes today, my gods. Thank goodness I’m so adverse to public displays of (my own) pain or i would’ve been on the floor. Though, to be fair, they did warn me in advance at least and apologized for having to do it at all.

#candyredtext #today kicked my aaaasss.#me and one other prsn in my dept and one in each of the other two #its still spring break so we were SWAMPED #on top of havbing to reestock the prize room AND the crane machines #6 were down just cus we didnt have prizes in them (inventory was this weekend so we couldnt restock SHIT)#so it fell on the only two ppl working today (one from open to 2:30 #and then me until 4 when someone else came in and i could FINALLY leave the counter n restock the cranes #and had to reset up a bunch and just #god. god. god. there is SO MUCH more physical labor and running around because we are understaffed/way too busy #and the new management SUCKS #and uc sof that we are losing the valuable ppl n stuck w the SHITTY ONES!!#uauguhg.#also the customers genuinely insane they get crazier every week i s2g

This is technically a Diana's age poll but I framed it partially around Julia's rescue because that's the event I need to contextualize and whether or not Diana is a thing yet is p important for my purposes. I would keep the Pérez run and postcrisis continuity in mind when answering this bc that's when this is relevant but I'd keep in mind that even though Diana is very young there (like early 20s) we don't know I don't think if she ages differently as a child (esp as a themysciran AND being made from clay) and in some versions she is older than she looks and was made earlier

omg.... my new nearest audiology department actually has an EMAIL TO CONTACT!!!!!!! we're so fucking back baby

#looking to register bc i havent had a hearing checkup in like. 4-5 years lol #im supposed to have repeats every 2-3 years but my old audio dept is on the other side of the country....#and my hearing loss has been stable since i was 2 yrs old so its not super urgent to keep track of..#but ive had my current hearing aids for over 6 years now i think which is the average lifespan. and they still work fine #but i really should be taking them in to adjust every six months n get new moulds fitted regularly....... oops #i do replace the tubing but yeah im way behind on maintenance #and considering i wear them like 50 hours a week n im kinda dependent on them at work i need to keep on top of it more #ALSO what i reaaaaally want is ones that have bluetooth connectivity bc when i last got mine that tech wasnt widely available #but now i think theyre nhs standard. so fingers crossed i can upgrade plsss i wanna be able to use them for phone calls n music!!!#i can make a good case for it if needed cuz i need to use headphones at work sometimes #actually might be able to get an access to work grant for bonus hearing aid equipment..... i should look into that #i was skeptical for ages bc i had a VERY old roger mic as a kid which was effectively a box on a lanyard i had to give to ppl #it was clunky as shit and had awful sound quality i gave up using it after a year or two #but now they have very sleek n subtle ones n the tech has improved so much like it filters bg noise n can connect to tvs n shit #so would be really useful in meetings or when im like. at a restaurant or somewhere w a lot of bg noise....#ahhhh itll take time to get everything sorted tho. need to start w just getting this audiology referral in place #ill swing by the gp practice after work tmr and ask for an appointment for that #need to get dressed and leave the flat.... but i dont want to 😔#in a bit....#.diaries

I think people should be able to work 3 days a week, 6 hours at most each day and still make enough money to support them selves and be able to have a family and support them too, as well as get to have a fun trip at times, or if they get sick or injure, for a short time or a long time, still be able to live without worry

I already thought this way before my job cause of growing up with my dad who works 12+ hours a day and works 3-4 days normally but they mandatory overtime him so he could end up working the whole week all days with that 12 hour shift and its just like, so many jobs demand so much of its workers and pay them all so little, and it just makes me want to start destroying stuff, like fuck I just worked from 1pm to 10pm by myself, almost didn't get all my breaks cause i'm expected to run, what should be two departments, by myself cause its just me, I got two others that may work the same times as me but only one is a guarantee for ONE day i work, other then that im SOL on getting any help

Im just so tired, i know if i didnt have my dad & to some extent my twin to fall back on I would not be able to live off the money from this job, & you can go "your only part time" & i'll just go "Yea, but that doesnt mean i shouldnt be able to make enought to live"
