hello there! so sorry for how vague this question is but: do you have any idea as to why EN won’t give us the tamashina event? :’< we got the stitch event before tamashina 💔

Hello hello! ^^ Thank you for this question!

It is true that the EN server seems to have shuffled the order of release for Tamashna Muina (this is the spelling of the event music from the official soundtrack, which I have never seen anywhere else before 👀 Interesting!) but EN has a history of rearranging events, putting Halloween before Vargas Camp, Tsumsted before Harveston, Port Fest after Vargas Camp 2, etc ^^

We do not have any precedence for EN skipping something altogether so I think it is safe to say that EN will receive Tamashna sooner or later, and we might be able to guess when 👀

The 30th anniversary of the release of the animated Lion King movie is coming! ^^

As it was originally released in June in the US it seems that a June release would have made more sense than the Stitch event for this month. There is a chance they are opting for the Japan release date, instead? Maybe?

And there is another event up and coming!

The new "Mufasa" movie is coming out this December, but it was originally slotted for a July 5th release 👀

Is it possible that Aniplex USA timed their 2024 schedule around Mufasa coming out in July, and were not able to adapt to the sudden change that came from the writer's strike?

This would not be the first time that the EN server has tied in-game content to a live-action theatrical release, with a "release celebration" and Octavinelle Training Camp timed with the The Little Mermaid! (And this was unique to EN! JP received a log-in bonus but no training camp.)

In conclusion: Based on past release patterns, there is a good chance that Tamashna is on its way! ^^

A July release would be curious due to its proximity to Leona's birthday, but it would also not be the first time that EN has released multiple SSRs of the same character curiously close together (re: Phantom Bride and Clubwear Ace, Dorm Malleus and Birthday Malleus, Tsum Azul and Birthday Azul, etc.).

             LUNARIX is a six-member fictional girl group that debuted on July 17, 2023 under ANGELICO Entertainment. Rookies thrown into the UNFORGIVING landscape of the entertainment industry, Lunarix stands out amongst the rest with their UNCONVENTIONAL and QUIRKY sound and concept.

Originally known as "ANGELGIRLZ" during their pre-debut phase, the group faced immediate scrutiny. Their debut announcement quickly followed the disbandment of Angelico's top-performing groups, VENUS and DeepDive. Accusations arose, claiming that ANGELGIRLZ copied Venus' "VENUS PROJECT" with their pre-debut project, "The Angel Project." Angelico chose not to address these allegations.

Q. We met you on your birthday on the 18th of July and time has passed this fast. T. It was even more meaningful to be meeting TASAKI on my birthday. I was able to feel the beauty that a pearl holds throughout the shoot.

Q. How would you have spent your birthday if there wasn't a shoot? Even though you went straight to dance practice on the shooting day T. I will probably do a commemoration birthday live with my fans like I always do yearly. Though I didn't have the time to do so on that day as I ended my practice a little over midnight, I will usually spend time with my family or my friends after I am done with the live

Q. New mini album released on the 19th of August, your solo world tour, and up till your survival program MC challenge! Are you spending your time busily on purpose? T. No, I'm a person who wants to go about my daily life being relaxed and slowly getting ready (laughs). I debuted at a young age, and it's also because I have come this far not being able to make any decision myself, without resting. However, right now, I just have lots of things that I need to do (laughs).

Q. How was KCON LA you went to at the end of July? You were the main person at the 'Dream Stage' where you did a stage with the fans. T. America holds the biggest music market, doesn't it? I garner a sense of anticipation and greed every time I go. I usually don't go and search for each and every reaction to my stages but for the stage this time, as it was also trending on SNS, I felt a sense of pride. I think that I will need to personally go and meet the fans that have supported me for so long. It's actually really not something easy for one to buy a plane ticket and fly over to another country to see the artist you like.

Q. You had your fan meeting mid July too. You did 4 shows altogether including the additionally added show. T. This is just my personal thoughts but I feel like I am especially close with my fans. I was really young when I made my debut so it was hard for me to say anything but at some point, the seal seemed to have just came off. 
 Q. Other than getting more comfortable, is there anything especially different as time passes? There was a stock of Pansy, which is also the title of your fan song, appearing in your 5th mini album's trailer and that really touched your fans. T. As much as Pansy is the birth flower of the very same date as SHINee's debut date, its flower language means 'the moment of debut' which holds the meaning of revealing oneself to the outside world for the very first time. I wanted to convey the meaning along with the birth flower that no matter where I belong, I will be working with the identity called Taemin and it would be nice if there would be no prejudice present at my start.

Q. Despite being in your 17th year since debut, do you know that you have lots of new fans coming in? T. If that’s true, it will be something I am very thankful for! I want to make it impossible for them to get out (laughs). Thinking that there aren’t a lot of teams that can promote for so long regardless if it’s as SHINee or as a solo artist, I want to be the real memories of others. The song released this time may be a memory to people 10 years later too.

Q. Your mini 5th album title means 'Eternal'. On the other hand, you are starting your world tour titled at the end of August. They both have a totally opposite meaning and that's interesting. T. You will remember the name, won't you. I chose the word 'Eternal' for the album name with the desire to leave a record like a proper noun despite the change in generation. I have lived a life where there's no guaranteed anonymity ever since a long time ago and I have thought a lot in regards to this. I know it's a thankful life but I wonder what will be a difference if I am not exposed to the public's view, when I think of the unnecessary misunderstandings that inevitably accompany me, I think about 'Gaze' itself. However, that gaze itself will be very different depending on each person and the one who recognizes the eyes that people have on will be me. If I don't recognize it, it will eventually be nothing. That's why, I decided on the tour title to show it on stage.

Q. Your resolution for your first solo world tour that starts at the end of August is… T. They say that SHINee is 2nd generation idol, right. However, as much as we are actively promoting right now, I want to be a symbolic existence and not be forgotten. Substitute someone, the industry likes to use the word 'Substitute'. I know that people can express it that way and it's not something said wrongly but because it made it sound like (we are) products, I don't like it. I want to continue to open up myself and my possibilities through an even wider market and stages abroad.

“Getting thrown back ten years in the past is decidedly not a monday morning activity.” Tim Drake muttered, glaring at the old computer in front of him.

He had been in the middle of throwing himself into his desk chair at W.E. when the world flickered and suddenly he was lying sprawled on the floor of his childhood bedroom.

Tim continued grumbling as he checked out which events would have happened. From looking at the date, Tim gathered that he was about two weeks from his tenth birthday. His internal clock was going haywire, it had been around 8:20 AM and the 12th of September, now it is 9:14 PM on July 5th.

Tim needed a plan. Fast.

Tim draws a blank on his plan. Usually he’s much better at coming up with them but his body from ten years ago is sick. Who even gets sick in July? AND this body has a functional spleen. So basically no excuse and Tim is reminded why his parents called his useless all the time.

Right now? Tim just wants to feel happy. He misses the giddy feeling in his chest, that feeling had faded in the years since he turned twelve.

Tim has a really really good idea. Maybe it’s not a very good idea considering he’s sick and not in the ‘right’ body but it seems fun enough to ignore those setbacks.

Dressed in threadbare, baggy, black clothes he bought from a second hand store at some point in the past, Tim begins to pack. He pulls out a black backpack, peeks inside and grins and the contents. His camera, some lenses, and a few more essentials are tucked carefully inside. Theres a credit card in the camera case and a bottle of water at the bottom of the bag. Its perfect.

Tim opens his childhood window, climbs the tree outside the window, and begins a not so familiar trek to the bus stop. If his memory serves correct, there should be a bus arriving in about 30 minutes so Tim just has to jog a little bit to get there on time.

Boarding the bus goes well, getting up on the roofs goes even better. His little nine year old body is light and at this point, he had already been running around like this for a year so the muscles have built up adequately. Before he left, Tim had done some research on Batman’s patrol routes, and if he hurried Tim would catch Batman swinging by five rooftops down and three to the left.

Tim settled down half tucked between an air conditioning unit and a wall, content to wait for Batman. Already, his chest had lightened, feeling like his body was vibrating from excitement. He had missed this.

Ever since joining Batman as Robin, Tim had been forced to retire his photography hobby unless there was a stakeout. There was no time to go out in the city unless he was Robin. Training ramped up, the workload piled, and the exhaustion won out. Tim’s reflection on what his life had become was cut short by crowing laughter and the sound of a grapple.

Tim’s camera was out in a flash, standing on his toes for a good angle over the air conditioner. Point, aim, Click! Click! Click! Perfectly in frame, Robin and Batman flying side by side across the rooftop next to him.

He slunk back into the wall and checked out his pictures. He had brought his digital camera today, seeing as he was out of practice and wanted to see the finished product. His heart beating out of his chest, giddiness building in his lungs. Tim checked the small screen and-

They were perfect. From this angle, Tim caught the right side of their bodies. Batman’s cape flies out behind him, almost perfectly framing his figure against the bright lights of the city. He’s swinging forward, chest out, the symbol clear again his suit. Slightly lower than him and a little closer to the camera, Robin.

His Robin. Jason Todd, Tim’s Robin. The one he had looked up to so much. The Robin who died, came back, and tried to kill Tim.

Robin’s chest was puffed out, drawing a deep breath before another fit of laughter. One of his legs outstretched, the other curled up a little.

It was perfect. The sound of Robin laughing played on repeat in Tim’s mind.

Tim would not waste this chance.

Tim sat on that rooftop for another hour after that, thinking, planning, plotting. The trek home did not go as well. Tim’s body was achy and sweaty. At some point he must have gotten chilled, (Which is bullshit because it’s literally July.) but it had been raining the previous day so maybe that caused it. Either way, Tim’s bones hurt and his hands were shaking. His face felt hot but his body cold, and he already felt the sickness in his throat. Again, Bullshit. Tim made it back on the bus, and then off too! “Good job, Tim.” he mumbled as he walked back to his house. The gravel crunched beneath his feet and promised a… less than kind… extra crunchy landing if he fell over, so Tim took it an encouragement to keep walking.

Tim’s legs gave out ten minutes through the thirty-five minute walk. He is such a brave soul though, because he gets up again and tries to walk. It feels like his legs are made of jello and his vision is blotchy.

Again, this body has a spleen and everything! Useless.

Tim’s vision swims again and when he falls to the ground he doesn’t get back up.

The (Brief) Metahistory of Ben-Gal

Yet another instagram request. Bengal hasn't gone through much change because PH development is pretty recent. But still, good to keep an archive of these things.

Note that Powerhouse is a comic in the works so obviously I can't share every detail about certain plot points because where's the fun in that?

Before he was Bengal, he was my AMONG US SONA!!!!!!!!!!!! Also Powerhouse didn't exist yet. That's it.

A NEW NAME AND A NEW STORY: 6th December 2020

Now he was no longer a sona, but alive! His story (aka Powerhouse) was called Orbital Immolation at this time. You can see he is quite scrawny and scared. The story was pretty consistent to what it is now, being that he escaped from his work prison and is trying to find his way back to his family and sister, Grizel. Kasper was created around this time too. Since this is a post about Bengal, I'm not going to go the extra mile of mentioning other PH characters (unless someone wants that) despite being made the same time, because I'm tired. More Orbital Immolation art (with Bengal in it) below.

Not dating these individually but they were from December 2020 to June 2021, in order of creation.

By the way, it was called Orbital Immolation because I had the idea to make Bengal blow himself up to save the world in the end of it, hence, Immolation. At this time, I also had an idea for a sequel that would center around Grizel in the future still grieving over Bengal, as you can see in that picture with her and Robot Bengal.

In the 7th picture, there is a cat-looking girl. She was supposed to be Kasper's niece trying to avenge him after Bengal killed him. I don't remember exactly when I decided Kasper was a robot, but at that time he probably wasn't one because he had a niece. Or she was a robot created by a sister company of Kasper’s engineers, hence making her a cousin? Idk. Also you can see Cain in the 5th picture!

Also back then, Bengal was aroace.

From Bengal's toyhouse page (roughly December 2020):

"Bengal is a worker for MADA Space Corp, a prison-like space station floating in the middle of Mezuno. He boarded the ship when he was 16 to make money for his sickly mother, as well as provide tuition funding for his sister, Grizel, so she doesn't have to end up like him, rotting in manual labour. Bengal would describe himself as hardworking, nimble, and expendable. He has had the same routine for 12 years hoping his effort has paid off and that there may be a slight possibility he could return to his home planet. Little does he know, Isari had been destroyed for 2 years now, along with its culture and inhabitants. The only Isarians alive now are either refugees or had migrated to different planets before its destruction."

Interesting part about his planet, which probably isn't still canon. I had forgotten about that.

Here was when I decided to change the name of the comic because Orbital Immolation was Not Catchy. By now I had established the role of Reckoners in the story and wanted a technology-related title that also reflects something about our protagonist. I had 2 ideas for names: 1. Live Wire, and 2. Powerhouse. My lovely oomf helped me choose, so you have her to thank. Imagine calling it Live Wire.

Besides a bit of a personality change (he's silly now) and a workout, that's about all that's different from modern PH. I told you it was brief. Let's just look at the evolution of Bengal illustrations to finish this off.

Yall remember/are familiar with that one movie where the lady has really bad luck whenever the number 5 appears anywhere, like she spends $5.55 at a Walmart or w/e and then her boyfriend just abandons her there out of nowhere, so she lives in the Walmart for a few weeks (literally in the walls) and she has to give birth there on July 5th at like 5 o clock (some dude crashes in thru a skylight to deliver the baby its chill), and then later when she's talking to the nurse at a hospital abt what to name the baby. She's like "Americus" and the nurse goes "what kind of name is Americus" and this broad goes "I want her to have a strong name since she was born on the 4th of july" and then at Americus's fifth birthday Mom is like "no five candles no one even says the word five I don't care if its her birthday" and her baby delivering angel sent from the roof of Walmart is like "but her birthday is tomorrow I thought this was just a normal party" and then Mom is like "wtf do you mean her birthday is tomorrow?? Tomorrow is the fifth" and then IMMEDIATELY a tornado appears in their yard and picks up the whole house while they're all inside and because Americus is a dumbass five year old she, like, throws her teddy bear at her mom while Mom is clinging to a door frame so as to not get sucked into the vortex

Anyway, Danse would name his baby dumb shit like Americus

all right so i'm going to explain my personal headcanons for the birthdays of the main emperor's new groove characters and malina! i'm taking into account that the movie takes place in peru, which is in the southern hemisphere so the seasons are opposite to those in the US and europe. also, there's a book called disneystrology that assigns a different character to every single day of the year, so that can sort of be considered an official source for birthdays--but i kind of prefer to just take a look at the list, see if i like the date they picked for a given character, and if i don't then i just come up with my own headcanon for when their birthday is. so:

malina - she's always seemed like an autumn girl to me and i don't really know why, it's just the vibe i get. i headcanon that her birthday is on april 12th, which makes her an aries.

pacha - i always liked to think that he should have an earth sign--after all, his name essentially means "earth" in the inca language! so i headcanon his birthday to be may 10th, making him a taurus.

chicha - she's the only one who i actually keep the date from the disneystrology book for! it assigns her july 29th, and i like that because it makes her a leo which is a fire sign. coincidentally it is also when modern day peru celebrates its independence day, which feels fitting for chicha.

kronk - the disney wiki says his birthday is november 27th, but they don't have a source for this and i don't think it came up in new school but maybe i'm wrong?? i know it's not in kronk's new groove because i double-checked a transcript. so if anyone knows please tell me. however, i like this date so i keep it as my headcanon! it's at the very end of spring and kronk just feels to me like he should have a spring birthday. this makes him a sagittarius.

kuzco - i always see people headcanon him as a gemini or a leo, and he does have those vibes, but... those zodiac seasons are in winter in the southern hemisphere, so sadly it doesn't work. i also think his birthdays needs to be specifically in early summer to fit the timeline of him building a summer home + chicha having had her baby and it still being summer by the end of the movie. so my headcanon for his birthday is december 5th, making him, like kronk, a sagittarius.

yzma - and as for her... i imagine that her birthday is december 6th. the day after kuzco's. which means it's always overshadowed by the multiple days of excessive preperations and celebrations for the emperor's birthday and everyone always forgets about it except for her mother! well, and kronk, who somehow manages to always suddenly remember and scramble to prepare a gift at the last minute. this also means kuzco fired her just days before her birthday. ouch. at least it wasn't the day of her birthday.

This month is event month, so there will be no new mission board! But like last year, the June & July Mission Board will be extended to run through the end of August. The Unaffiliated requirement remains in effect for the Unaffiliated & Faculty-specific tasks.

The event will run from August 1st to August 31st. Signups are now closed - stay tuned for more information tomorrow at noon EST!

Our monthly submission limit on the site that hosts our event signups has been reset so everyone is free to take the quiz for fun now.

We will be announcing a second 5th-Year Anniversary activity on August 4th and another on August 8th. This will not require IC participation. Stay tuned for the details.

Important Updates

The requirements to master a lord class acquired for participation in an event have been updated. You cannot master the class with the same event that you acquired it, but any official event afterwards (Arena, Ethereal ball, etc.) can count for its mastery

We are changing our event schedule for all subsequent years: there will now only be ONE Arena event per year, not two, and it will be held in November. Originally, the biannual Arena design was implemented to rigorously test the combat manual, which was brand new at the time. Now that the manual is more or less stable, we've decided that two Arena events is no longer necessary. Because we already had an Arena event this year in June though, the next Arena won't take place until November 2025.

TOA runs a lot of events, and it makes it difficult for our members (and the mods) to have a life outside of TOA or reply to regular threads in a timely manner. Many of our members also have great ideas of their own and have expressed interest in running their own mini events during the year, but there just hasn't been a good time for them when TOA has a big event every other month. We hope that removing the second Arena will give everyone some breathing room.
