All eyes were on Y/N.

Y/N locked eyes with Yoongi with teary eyes and Yoongi sighed softly, going towards her. “You got it” Yoongi whispered, reassuring her before Y/N pushed pass the crowd to find Jungkook. She went down the hallway to see him taking his time walking towards a door that was in front. “JUNGKOOK!” Jungkook turned around, seeing Y/N at the end of the large hallway in the house.

Werewolf: the Essentials Project Update 04/02/2025

Hello, Kinfolks. Woof. What a time to be alive. This is a period that's been reflected many, many times in the past under many different names. It seems like every time I pick up my phone there is always some new awful thing awaiting us. The intentional composition of the writers on this team are diverse and come from cultures across the world, and what ties us together has been our queerness, our passion for Werewolf, and our commitment to let our passions fuel our writing. The result has been a product that shows the passion from one page to the next.

In short, the state of the world has impacted the pace at which we're working on the book. The priority right now is survival, and surviving is the task that has consumed most of the attentions of those helping with W:tE. It should come as no surprise that people who passionately care about Werewolf also care about the world around them at large, and that is exactly what many of us are doing.

All the same, what's agreed between everyone on the team is that we all feel the work we're doing matters, and in many ways it can be a good way to keep one busy when the other option is the good-old doomscroll. And so, work is still happening, and beyond that, its starting to pick up again.

So, what work remains?

Writing

Writing is more or less finished. Editing is ongoing and as small issues or missing mechanics come up we've been working them in. Chapters 1-7 are complete, and Chapter 8, our storytelling and chronicle section, is in its last few pages before calling it done. We have a small number of writers still working on this, and so far we're looking at 100 Rite of Passage Story Seeds, and 40-60 Cliath Story Seeds. All in all we're handing Storytellers enough game material to be able to keep their tables plenty busy for at least a year of weekly game sessions. Also as a spitball number, by the time this book hits shelves we are looking to be at around 450 pages.

Layout

We are at the 75% complete mark! Chapter 6 of 8 is underway. Due to an influx of support, we're able to have one of our editors pick up work on a more daily basis, so this process should similarly be speeding up in the immediate future. It always feels like the work is neverending, but slowly and surely we're making progress. I've promised myself once this book enters preflight I'm taking a long vacation.

im sure im not the first one to say it but i kinda hate the fact that the whole "bucktommys hate eddie!!!" thing took off at whatever point. bc like... admittedly, i don't like eddie NOW. but when i first got into the show (which admittedly it hasnt even been a year yet lmao admittedly a bucktommy clip popped up on my dash and i found them cute so i decided to watch the show from the beginning), i enjoyed him. i thought rg is good with comedy, and while i liked eddie, he just wasn't my favorite by any means and that was fine! i didn't really have any character that i disliked for the most part (even the antagonistic characters like doug and jonah were both in the ballpark of 'i love you because you're absolutely terrible and not being painted as anything other than that, i <3 drama and conflict' kinda like loving villains for being villains rather than woobifying em as a wittle misunderstood guy) aside from maybe one, and its heavily dependent on what season i'm watching.

but like idk. i think the end of s8 just ruined eddie for me, especially with the bts stuff and the fact that ppl have (imo) rightfully called out the fact that eddie's anger tends to just kinda get swept under the rug a lot by the show itself. fans excusing shitty behavior is normal fandom bullshit, nothing new, but idk it just feels like the show brushes it off and then has eddie rarely address his problems, at least not fully considering the whole "i gotta go be a dad to chris again" thing didn't even touch on the reason why christopher went to texas to begin with. he went from "guy who i was excited to hopefully see growth from!!!" to feeling stupid for hoping that eddie would take accountability for the kim stuff and apologize to his son.

but like. i never hated eddie before all of it. like i said, he just wasn't my favorite, and i just liked the way tommy and buck mesh together to the point where if they decide they want a new love interest for buck that they're gonna have to try really fucking hard to make someone better than tommy. hell, i liked all of buck's love interests even if i didn't really see any of them as endgame. i liked ana and marisol! i was pissed actually that eddie fumbled marisol so hard because she was cute and fun and i think she could have had so much more done with her!!! im not touching on shannon btw she's dead so there's no real point in bringing her (or kim) up imo.

is there no non-main woman safe from tim minear's writing (and thats being polite because (looks at henren mom problems) (looks at henren 'work-life balance' problems) (looks at the fact it kinda feels like maddie is reduced just down to 911 operator and milf just one chance maddie (and also chim) please /lh mom)) /j

idk it just sucks to get all the "why do you even like tommy he's barely on screen" bc the time hes "barely on screen" is more compelling to me than whats mostly on screen sometimes. i got attached to a background character with three lines who was only in ONE season of his show lmao like sometimes... whats not canon can be more compelling than whats canon if the writers fumble canon enough times. and for me, the writers have fumbled eddie one too many times :/ the grab + flinch "you make everything about yourself" bullshit was just the final straw for me and made me turn on a character i'd been neutral toward

Ongoing Series - Thai

Wandee Godday (Sat YT) ep 5 of 12 - The side couple is so damn pouty and adorable. So far as Yak and Dee are concerned, I love that they kept up with the cosplay stuff and didn’t just drop it as a one off. I'm just genuinely enjoying seeing how much fun they have together and watching them accidentally falling in love with each other and trying not to.

Linguistic corner!

I don’t normally watch any BTS stuff, but for reasons known only to my serotonin-seeking brain, I’ve been watching a few for this show. And I MUST talk about the way Great speaks Thai. It’s so different from all of the other Good GMMTV Boys. He’s way more casual. Not rude, but definitely not as formal or as polite as any of the actors around him. It’s difficult to describe but just LISTEN to the way he hops registers and pronouns pretty consistently. Sometimes in the same sentence. He even softens his polite particles. I've never heard an actor do that out of character. It’s fascinating. I wonder if it has to do with the fact that he is older (then most of his costars) and comes outta the Bangkok club scene, and was older when he joined GMMTV. Frankly, it’s the closest I’ve ever seen on TV to the way people actually talked in Bangkok. 

My Stand-In (Thai Fri iQIYI) ep 6 of 12 eps - honestly these two shows are neck and neck for my favorites running right now and Wandee got the edge because it left me smiling, but yesterday, Stand-In would have come out on top. Such a great show. It’s so sinister. So not romantic. Which makes me feel like... it's not really a BL. And, yet, I DO NOT CARE. Because I’m enjoying its little evil soul so much. “Poor Joe” is pretty much all that goes through my head the whole time I'm watching, and I'm enjoying poking at that pain.

We Are (Weds iQIYI) ep 9 of 16 - I love all of the 3rd wheels. Kluen is kinda great. And I’m not just saying that 'cause I have a crush on Title, it’s because Kluen is so open and genuine. (Unless they fuck up his character.) I even enjoyed the backstory for Fang and Tan. Honestly, the friendship group is the reason to watch this show, they’re great and funny, and make everything enjoyable. It’s a soap opera, like Only Friends, but gentle with its characters and us watchers. Which is what I really want from my BL. I don’t want all of this Friend Zone backstabbing bullpuckie. 

Knock Knock Boys (Thurs Gaga) eps 1-2 of 12 - I like it, frankly more than I expected to. It’s a bit slow moving, but the characters are interesting and the dynamic of everybody living in the same house together is fun. I haven’t seen this style of housemates centered Thai BL in years. I identify FAR too closely with the crass-talking bug-killing pansexual. On a completely different note, I really hope Best and Seng have an NC scene together. Last week I would never have said that, but now I think they have good chemistry. Am I crazy?

Only Boo! (Sun YouTube) ep 8 of 12 - They are sickeningly sweet boyfriends, and Moo is such a brat and so demanding. It’s charming. There was even a little bit of dancing together which I’m sure made @heretherebedork happy. Dancing okay but NO SINGING. 

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

At 25:00 in Akasaka AKA 25 Ji Akasaka de (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 7 of 10 - Asami's past was cool to see. I enjoyed that his character finally got fleshed out and given some solidity. However, it felt like it came a little too late. Even though I know this is the way Japan tends to roll with BL timing. I wanted to like him sooner then this. Now I'm not really that invested.

Living With Him AKA Kare no Iru Seikatsu (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 8 fin - It was an extremely good and very satisfying ending for a JBL, which we cannot expect, so I'm disposed to dole out top marks for that. Also we definitely have a new contender for Namgoong award for best wingman. (Japan's favorite: the bespectacled variant.)

Summation:

Kindly Ryota goes to uni and ends up rooming with his former childhood bestie, Kazuhito. Kazuhito doesn’t have a girlfriend for, as it turns out, cute roommate reasons. Same director as Old Fashion Cupcake, the framing is gorgeous and it is a stylish piece. As a friends to lovers cohabitation narrative this was a classic 2000s sweet yaoi. I enjoy that kind of tradition out of Japan even if it (and the characters) come off as a little slow as a result. Still, it's nice to get a traditional BL out of Japan that is satisfying, not slapstick, AND did not hurt us. 8/10 recommended

ZeeNunew vehicle from 2023, recut into a movie on YouTube. It's from Mandee and horror, yet I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

Pronoun use is ter/chan or rao (no nai or pom) because of the historical setting + softness of the relationship.

It's oddly sweet and wholesome, for a ghost story. Phloeng and Rawee enter into an arranged marriage for confusing prophetic reasons and a twisted fate, solving a mystery of the past that is haunting Phloeng's family and harming Rawee. Honestly, it makes no actual sense, but it's kinda historical, and very pretty, so I enjoyed it more than I should. 8/10

6/26 The Rebound (Thai Weds VIU?) - MeenPing are back in their 3rd BL together, a basketball based romance (Meen was a national basketball player, so yay for that). I enjoy Tkkrs origin stories (I’m going somewhere with this.. I promise 😁). I love hearing about what made them stand out to people and which specific moments it were that made things click. I myself was already very much into BTS when I started feeling Tae and Jk had a bond that was different (more close) than the other members. I had already started watching Run and all sorts of other footage, and when festa 2022 came around I very much went ‘wait.. could they really?’. Ofcourse being in army spaces the name ‘taekook’ was familiar to me, so I started to look up more about them. I kept watching original footage (ITS, BV, interviews, lives, performances) and ultimately I came across blogs that I found very insightful and who would answer asks and had information. It took me quite some months to go from 👀 to jep. I remember clearly going through so so so much footage and their bond just became clearer with everything I watched. It can be hard as a newer fan to go through so much footage, but at the same time to me it felt so easy, because I enjoyed watching so much.

It’s still kinda insane to me that my blog became well visited. I was very new when people started to follow me, and I’ve never (not even now) been the most up to date. I often see my blog as a collab between me and my anons. There are many people around who have better knowledge and who have insights I have not. There are many people around who have lived through more of BTS’s years than I have… though I don’t feel as new as I once did.

Now to my point (I’m feeling quite dramatic.. this is not a goodbye post or anything 😂… sometimes my head is just filled with words that need out). These last weeks.. months.. whatevers.. there have been more and more asks about things I feel are pretty obvious (about how Jk treats Tae for instance). It’s obvious to me, because I have actually watched so much footage that I just know certain things are there. It’s also stuff that I’d imagine would be obvious to everyone who has come to call themselves a tkkr, because I’d guess that they’re also going through their journeys of watching footage. At the same time.. I have a lot of trolls coming to my inbox (kinda always). It’s made it very hard for me to distinguish between asks that are in good faith (from actual newer fans who have found their way to tkk blogs early in their journey) and asks that are from trolls (jkkrs, some solos, anti’s, taennies). I’ve been fluctuating in my responses a bit. At times quick to call some out, and at times too trusting perhaps. I’m being honest here.. I am by nature someone who’s leaning positive and trusting (even after these years of blogging 😂). That’s not going to change. There are also times when, even if I might suspect someone is a troll, I still choose to deal with their ask as if it’s in good faith. I try to consider that for really new tkkrs, they haven’t even come to experience Tae and Jk outside of enlistment. And I try to consider that not everyone likes going through old content.

All this to say. I feel this time is difficult (not when it comes to my thoughts on Tkk.. those haven’t changed much at all) when it comes to fandom shenanigans. I try to keep this blog fun and insightful, but it’s also hard at times with no new stuff to talk about and an influx of trolls.

I've been meaning to ask if you have any opinions about The Goddess. I feel like a lot of the more recent Warlock stuff is kinda trying to ignore that she existed :')

so i finally finished infinity crusade and am in the last stretch of infinity watch. finished it abt a week ago bt i wanted to let it marinate in my head a little before saying anything. this is the first time im talking abt smth so recent to me so this will be a lil undercooked wrt my thoughts and very meandering, but i think the act of writing this out will help me anyway loll, it usually does

right away. infinity crusade spoilers obvs.

first of all ill talk abt ur last comment there, and i wanna ask fr further clarification on what exactly u mean by that bt ill just cover both things i thought u meant anyway.

so its pretty obvious that the goddess represents the past, right. warlock is the present, magus is the future. thats why the goddess isnt present in things like the magus is. her stuff is already over. warlock isnt going to revert coz hes already here as he is, the man that he chose to be (transmasc W!).

the goddess is his previous incarnations that were a woman. now that itself is a very interesting topic i wish theyd touched more on bt i also think its good that its kept vague (or at least i hope it is) coz the room to speculate is what makes it fun to think abt. the goddess is a version of him that no longer exists. in fact i think theres a strong case to view this all thru the lens of transmasculinity in general, as a trans man myself i see it like the goddess being yourself before you Knew. i used to have thoughts like 'maybe she wouldve been happier. but it wouldnt have been me. it would have been someone else.' thats what the goddess feels like to me. and magus feels a lot like the childish toxic masculinity of throwing ur weight around as a man for the first time, compensating for what u cant quite believe u truly are.

warlock is the one who is comfortable with both halves, hes chosen to be a man but has accepted that these stereotypical gender roles are arbitrary and unhelpful.

anyway as for the other thing u couldve meant, her being ignored in the actual narrative as never having happened? to be fair im not sure how she would be involved unless it was part of the story of the other 'perfect humans' and i havent rly gotten to them yet! ive seen Her but not as she returns as ayesha, and i havent seen the others yet either. but i dont see why the goddess shouldnt be involved with them in the future (assuming she isnt already). adam and the goddess are technically the same being but theyre not the same person in the way that warlock and magus are. so i think broaching that topic w the actual women seems like the way to go? again especially seeing as Her is also very transgender. they are ALL trans to me btw because theyre nonhumans who are adopting to the human gender binary, which makes them inherently trans. but some will have a stronger case or allegory to project than others, is more what i mean. bt again, i havent gotten to them yet so i rly cant say a whole lot. id like to come back to this tho once i have.

anyway, that stuff aside... where to even start.

i DO love that they keep a balance w morality/intent even tho they say that magus is evil and goddess is good. magus wants infinite life and a deathless world, goddess wants pure nothingness and death for all. and both perspectives do make sense. what the goddess wants Would mean an end to all pain, and like the magus, shes lashing out in frustration at adam for not seeing and accepting all the sides of himself. though in her case, adam just didnt know she existed at all. generally i also love that adam's whole Thing is that hes obsessive and swings wildly between extremes and magus+goddess both represent these extremes. theyre him dialled up to 11. in that way the goddess is the perfect counterbalance to both warlock and magus. bt hey starlin's understanding of the character he essentially Made (obviously not made as a fictional character but Made him into who he is) is really impressive to see every time, love the way he writes things as character studies first.

i also love the implication that adam was Supposed to have a childhood. and that the gotg cartoon that i loved for its depiction of adams origins is actually way closer to canon than id thought!

it could be elaborate headcanon bt to me this means that every previous incarnation of himself grew up from being small, and his most recent birth at the enclave is an outlier. a sort of trapping of his soul or smth. which actually makes more sense considering later on when magus is also reborn as an actual child.

hmm i lost my train of thought cz i was watching vids w someone. bt honestly im not sure i have a ton more to say specifically abt her? the rest of my infinity crusade thoughts are ummm. predictably. about magus. i REALLY enjoyed it as a whole tho, it was fantastic. even tho i dislike the big teamup stuff in general cz it spreads the narrative too thin and u cant focus on any one char which means all the less important ones are gonna be ooc to some degree. hmmm. idk. my train of thought is totally gone wwww, if u wanted to ask abt smth more specific then go ahead bt ig thats my thoughts for now

I'm back... to say goodbye properly.

Not gonna go very deeply into it, but life's been getting a bit busy. My cat's passing + stress at work + going back to normal after COVID + a big crisis with my partner took its toll on me. Also not going through the best times with my family. I'm sorry I left without saying a word, I honestly didn't think people would notice :(

I'm not writing fanfiction anymore (sorry for the never-posted fics or the unfinished stuff) it was fun but now I look back at it and think it's kinda weird I'm writing s*x content about real people (about time I did), so I might delete them from here and upload them to Ao3 to orphan them when I get the time. Also the amount of minors in here is appalling, too much for me. I'm sorry, I was the first to read nasty stuff when I was 12, but I never, like, talked to adults about it...

I've also distanced myself from BTS and K-pop overall these past few years. Sad, but true. I still like Red Velvet though. But K-pop nowadays is... kinda weird for me. Not what I remember. So, when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

It was so much fun doing this, I discovered that I love to write something more than self-pitying, intellectual stuff (and that I can finish a project with +70k words) and I met some wonderful people, for that, I am immensely grateful.

Again, I'm sorry I went without a word. I really didn't think people would notice. Maybe it has to do with the fact that, apart from a few very engaging, amazing followers, stuff on Tumblr never gets much recognition. Stuff never gets recognition anywhere, to be honest. -I can see her liking more hard-hitting boy groups (stray kids, ateez, xdinary heroes)

-I feel like the “noise music” side of kpop would scratch her brain in a way, plus it’s something different from what you normally hear on the radio

-oh he loves kpop

-doesn’t partake in the fan culture but he definitely streams and stuff

-doesn’t have an ult group, just listens to what he likes

-kutner is a simple man: kpop happy he’s happy

ANYWAYS BABY BOY I LOVE YOOOU and I love that hes got all these fun little movements and motions in the script!

I love that it seems like he's always moving lol. I think its cute + makes me feel better about making him so animated in my fanworks.

IDK if it just didnt get across in the final version of the show, or if his lil movements did wind up getting cut, but either way its nice to see things so clearly. ANYWAYS ALSO AS WELL.....

made me perk up because it reminded me of THIS bit of concept art for his window in Transport!

I can't leave to enjoy a few days vacation without the world falling apart?

Hybe vs. Min HeeJin. Not on anyone's bingo card this year. I have not caught up on everything but who tipped off Hybe about her dastardly plans? The timing of it all... and her little extemporaneous skit she did for a press conference was perhaps part of her plan to turn public opinion in her favor? She claims to have invented kpop or at least made it what it is today but out the other side of her mouth says she hates idol culture?

Hybe's not here to play, they will not be nice. I see no benefit to her for showing us the not so pretty side of the idol industry. Maybe that's her problem, she can't see what she's doing because she's too far into it. Thirty years in the business will make you lose your objectivity. She has no idea she is coming across as a greedy, spoiled, entitled, manipulative, narcissistic, emotional female in a male dominated industry. Basically a nut case.

The lady had a tremendous opportunity to perhaps take ownership of her company in due time, become a great example for female leadership in a country where corporate culture is steeped in chaebolism. Instead she squandered that and thinks she will come out on top. Did she miss the Hybe vs. SM Entertainment episode from last year?

In other news. I went to Las Vegas. This is what I saw:

The Bellagio Fountains. They're huge. The Bellagio is SWANK. I looked for Jimin in Dior and Tiffany, Hobi in the Louis Vuitton store, Namjoon in the Bottega Veneta store, but none of them were in there. There was no Calvin Klein store.

When Hobi, JK and Tae were there watching the fountains dance to Dynamite, they were standing here:

Passed by Allegiant Stadium a few times. It's huge.

Drove out to Seven Magic Mountains. I am happy to report the lowest boulders had no writing or graffiti. They were amazingly huge as you can see.

Went to AREA 15 and it was HUGE and amazing! It's impossible to show everything that its about, there are multiple buildings and installations and activities, gift shops, bars, etc. We went into the Omega Mart (mega art) experience which led to a maze of fantastically created chambers, each different from the last one, all pulsing with animated lights, texture walls, ceilings and floors.

And ate at Hobak Korean BBQ. We couldn't find out which tables the members of BTS sat at but I got a pic of the Butter album they all signed. There were other autographs from other famous Korean celebs but the BTS signatures were displayed in a more prominent place on the wall.

We also scoped out The Sphere. Also HUGE. The concert space is arena sized. I don't know who was playing there that night but the parking lot was filling up.

We also walked the Strip.

The Fremont Street Experience. That's an animated video screen overhead with ziplines running through the length of it. It's two blocks of casinos, restaurants and gift shops. People are also doing busking and shows at street level.

Hoover Dam, view of the dam from the highway bridge and view of the highway bridge from the dam. Spent a few minutes on the Arizona side.

Hiked in the desert. Saw cactus and wildlife. Drank a lot of water.

Drove to the Mojave Desert Preserve in California just to say we did.

We hated leaving. It was a fun trip. But damn, I have so much stuff to catch up on now. Hiatus my ass.

If Vegas is on the BTS comeback tour I promise I will be there this time.

We gambled at the airport on our way out. The slot machines were next to our gate. And in the baggage claim area. But as you can see, its not just about gambling there.

In case you didn't get it, everything in Vegas is HUUUGGE and FARRRR. Walk a lot, spend a lot of money.

Overall, Las Vegas was clean, the people were extremely friendly and welcoming of course, they might be teaching hospitality as a school subject there, I don't know.

Hey Rain,

I'm the anon who asked you if you recommend watching AYS. Well, I started watching it, and I'm so glad I did because it's so freaking hilarious. I'm kicking myself in the butt for not watching it when it first came out. I just started episode 6 but paused because I didn't want it to change my initial thoughts.

I apologize ahead of time if this is all over the place 🙃

So I've never been someone who has sat down and watched any of these series like BV, in the soop, docu series etc. Mostly because it's a bit pricey for me, so I usually just watch clips that I see on socials and call it a day. The reason I bring this up is because watching episodes 1-5 of AYS showed how out of context a lot of scenes are taken by shippers. And I can see why a previous anon said that after watching the show, they don't see anything romantic with jikook. For the most part, I agree with them. I tried to watch the show unbiased, and I will admit there were a moment or 2 that I could see why people ship them. With taekook, there were sweet moments but also moments that made me question the ship and that's why I'm here lol 😆

The main thing that stood out to me is that Tae seemed a bit disinterested the majority of the time. Did you also feel that way? It kinda irked me how at the start of Jeju they made it seem like Tae wasn't invited and was crashing their trip because they could've told him no. It sorts reminded me of when tae showed up during jungkook suchiwita episode. It also felt like Tae was third wheeling majority of the time and idk if it's because it's a jikook show and they wanted the main focus to be on them or if it's again that Tae was just disinterested. I would expect Tae to wanna be with JK but instead he would often go to bed early, on his phone, and then in the boat episode, he stayed on the boat instead of swimming with them plus they also had him on the other side fishing by himself. I would love to hear your thoughts on that.

But then there were also some really sweet moments, like when Jungkook told Tae that the trip was better because he was there. And so many more. There was one specific moment that did make me raise an eyebrow and would like to know your thoughts. I believe it was episode 5, JK says he's gonna go shower and then it cuts to Tae who's on his phone but quickly jumps out of bed takes his shirt off and goes to take a shower too. The door seems to be locked and even tho tae didn't knock it opens almost like JK was waiting for me him. Do you think that's the case? Could JK have texted him or am I reading too much into it?

Do you have any recommendations of other bts shows that you would say show more of taekooks relationship?

A quick tip, I watched most of my BTS shows like BV and ITS on Dailymotion (which is free.. though the site is a bit annoying at times). I don't think everything is on there right now, but I only did a quick check.

Haha, I'm glad you're enjoying yourself! So, let me start that I feel there is no BTS show (not ITS, not BV, and not AYS) that gives you actual insight in Tae and Jk's relationship. In this context I think ITS's show them a bit more freely, but still with clear boundaries. But hey, they're not supposed to be shown like that. They are closeted. Each show has it's cute moments. BV 1 has Jk getting into Tae's bed and hugging him while going back to sleep.

Bon Voyage 2 has them talking about wanting to live in Hawaii subtly.

Bon voyage three is Jk scheming to get Tae to share his room (ignore the edit's btw, I'm just posting as an example).

Bon voyage 4 is possibly the least tkky? We got Jk buying Tae a jacket which was cute. And some background stuff.

The ITS's got more cuddly moments overall and felt a bit less structured to me. But still.. you can't say of any of these series that it's clear they are together. I always feel it's good (and fun) to watch because you get an overal feeling for how members interact and how these things are structured. And you know what you're talking about whne certain moments come up in fandom.

When it comes to AYS my headcanon is that Tae was indeed a bit uninterested and he joined mainly because it gave him an opportunity to be with Jk inbetween busy schedules. Something to take into account is that Tae was suffering from neckpains (which can get extremely annoying and give you headaches as well). We only see a tiny percentage of the time they spent there, so you can't really speak to how they spent most of their time. I truly enjoyed seeing them close and seeing them in sync so much.

The shower incident to me does look like Tae is waiting for the door to be opened from the inside. It would make sense to me that it was Jk inside.

Finally, a long-awaited date with all of you. The boys were filled with energy, talking and joking on the ride there, and you felt your heart growing lighter: you still had them.

They even helped you get off the car with all the gentleness in the world, helped you get in your seat and made sure you were completely comfortable.

The lightness quickly weighed down into something much heavier when you saw Joanna walk in and make her way to the table.

And the weight felt like it had been dropped to you feet when the guys scooted to make space for her, Namjoon even standing up to hug her and letting her sit first so she'd be in between him and Jungkook.

How long has it been since they hugged you with such happiness?

"Oh my god, Y/N, hi! The boys didn't tell me you would be here."

Something about the way she said "the boys" made your hands itch, almost as much as your throat itched to say 'likewise'.

"Welp. I'm here. Haha."

Dinner wasn't fun, to say the least.

Joanna was blatantly saying shit to embarrass you the entire time, and it even worse, your boyfriends seemed to be soaking up her every word, laughing whenever she pointed out something embarrassing about you when she knew you in high school.

"Yeah! And when we choreographed together, she would always forget her parts." She lets out a giggle and Hoseok laughs too: what's so funny?

"It was only once or twice." You groan, mostly to yourself, but Joanna hears it.

"Whatever helps you sleep at night."

Everyone laughs at her words again and suddenly, you start to think that staying home was the better option.

"I've always said she has the memory of a goldfish. Sometimes it felt like I was doing all the work because i constantly had to step in and help when Y/N froze up."

She turns to you to ask her next question:

"How are you doing now that I haven't been here to clean up after you? Are you making Jimin do it?" She laughs and nudges Jimin, who's sitting next to her, on the shoulder, and he happily shoves back with a bright smile on her face.

"I'm fine, it's rare that I forget stuff lately." 

She gasps in a dramatic manner - you wish she would just disappear already.

"You? Not wasting time in rehearsal? Because you forgot? That's unheard of!"

You hate the way pretty much all of the guys laugh at her words: they know how much work you've put into being a good choreographer. Why were they laughing at you? 

Suddenly, you feel the person next to you pressing up closer against you: Seokjin.

You look at him and he has a soft smile on his face, but not towards Joanna; his entire focus is on you. 

"You have a really good memory darling. We can tell you've worked on it." The knot in your stomach softens its grip after hearing Seokjin's words, and for the first time since you got here, your smile is genuine.

"Anyways, how'd you injure yourself?"

"Oh, we were doing some cardio and I tripped. Fell at an awkward angle and it twisted my leg. Haha."

Joanna laughs a little too hard at this.

"I've always also said that for a supposed dancer you sure are clumsy as hell."

Some of the guys giggle at her comment, and you look down at your lap: why were they laughing at you? 

Out of the corner of your eye, you see Seokjin sit up a little straighter, and you suspect he's gonna say something.

"Supposed dancer?" He raised a brow and to most people, it would've seemed like he was just egging onto the joke, but you and the rest of the table could tell that there was a serious undertone to his question.

It was no secret in your relationship with the guys that Seokjin had a specific soft spot for you – in a relationship as big as yours, its bound that all of you will have your weak spots for one another: Jungkook and Namjoon, Jimin and Taehyung, Hoseok and Yoongi, you and Seokjin. 

So you were more than relieved when he met your gaze; he knew you were uncomfortable. 

And as everyone knows, he's not one to stay quiet. 

"I just mean it's surprising that for someone so clumsy she went into the professional world where coordination is crucial."

Jungkook uses this point to tease Namjoon, and thankfully the attention is taken off of you. You catch Seokjin's stare again and this time it's accompanied with an apologetic smile and him reaching out his hand to hold yours. 

As your hands meet on top of the table, you seem to be the only one who notices the look Joanna sends you at the display of affection.
