My boss asked if I could come in and work a few hours on my birthday next month (it's on the weekend this year and my normal work schedule is just weekdays) because we have a very time sensitive and expensive two day experiment lined up and ngl as someone who doesn't really like her birthday or has the best memories associated with it, getting paid time and a half for a few hours to fuck around with super expensive shit sounds pretty fun.

“Yeah, remember how that one gal in middle school evolved from a pichu? It was the weirdest thing! She didn’t have any friends to let her evolve in the first place… She’s back in town apparently. She keeps asking people if they know about some kid who supposedly used to lived here. In a town this small, though? There’s no way that little boy grew up with us. We’d know if he did. After all…
“… In this town, everybody knows everybody.”

But my favorite Unreliable Narrator El moment continues to be Chloe, the Cassandra.
Nothing will ever beat El getting told, to her face, that something's wrong with Orion, only to continue ignoring all mounting evidence well into Book Three.

"Angry robin" "violent robin" "misbehaving robin" shut up and accept my alternative; spunky Robin. Determined and head strong, can out-stubborn the Batman, has a strong moral-backbone and does what he thinks is right regardless of what anybody else says, Robin. Jason who was sassy and quippy and made crude jokes with a smile on his face. Jason who hid in Bruce's cape and whispered gossip to him. Jason who, if Bruce refused him something, could keep bothering endlessly until Bruce caved. And also dramatic Jason. If Bruce tells him no, it becomes a whole theatrical show; a monologue, a narration, embellishments, and falling onto the floor in his grief upon the fact his cruel father has denied him once again.
(Jason who has suffered through abuse and homelessness and poverty and starvation, who is the Fight out of Fight or Flight, who's built up defenses and walls and when pushed and triggered responds with the thing that's always protected him; anger. He's sweet and kind and funny, and when he sees a pimp hitting a prostitute he gets furious and responds with violence.)

Varre helps recruit for a cult where the price of entry is to murder women specifically.
Boggart calls Rya stupid and a bitch, and also steals from her apropos of nothing.
Seluvis keeps several women trapped in his cellar against their will, two of them being women he takes specifically to spite his male rival, literally treating them objects. One doll is even kept in a secret alcove beside his bed.
Gideon Ofnir treats his adopted daughter like a pawn, calling her a barbarian and invites us to use her the same way he does, like a tool. and when she has a breakdown over his horrific treatment of the downtrodden albinaurics, and the truth of his cruelties are revealed to her, he calls her useless and us helping her is a waste of time. When Seluvis attempts to take her as a puppet, Gideon has no concerns about her well being, and is more preoccupied with getting back at Seluvis for trying to cross him.
But the only one I ever see slapped with the 'misogynist' stick is Devin, because he calls Fia a whore after she murders his brother.

irdgaf if people like The Timeless Child/Flux storyline or not, but if you are unironically saying that RTD made The Timeless Child/Flux good because David Tennant looked sad and yelled a bit, I am sincerely hoping you break all your fingers simultaneously :)
