I sat down with the manager at my new job, and asked if I could go by Mikky, and use they/them pronouns, and not only were they cool about UT, they changed my name all systems, and sent out an email to all the other managers/higher ups, letting them know, and reintroduced me to all my coworkers with my preferred name, and I think I might actually cry 🥹

i think there's something so beautiful in being aromantic. it's isolating, yes. but it's also this precious freedom only a select few are even aware of, let alone experience.

it's the freedom from the constraints of romance. like, i don't have a problem with romance at all, but it's seen as the Ultimate Goal in life along with children.

it's looking at the world without rose tinted glasses and choosing to do whatever it is that you Want. whether it be hanging with friends or trying romantic relationships anyways. it's just,, so freeing in ways i don't have the words to express in its entirety.
