world of warcraft is wild in that they have a species that is an antisemitic caricature (which said species commonly is in fantasy but they really go hard on it) and then they let you play as said species which i think is already wild. also if you play the default starting area you are made to play a horrible person as that species

and then i, a jewish person, made a character of that species as a way to somehow spite them (?? i still dont know how that spites them but it was why i did it) but then i got like really attached to her and shes one of my favorite characters ive made in general and i think about her a lot. also i didnt play the default starting area so she wasnt forced to be a totally completely bad person at least for any of that

The settlers he shot at are living on stolen land from beit hanina. A village that used to be populous and continously expanding now split by the Wall so one side lives in the "West Bank" and have permits different to the ones held on the other side of the wall in Jerusalem (which means the ones in the WB have to apply for a permit to go to the other side of beit hanina) Beit hanina is surrounded by 4 of these settlements and they are closing in. Suddenly the fig groves u could visit 5 years ago are off limits. Suddenly theres a new fence and now they are taking arable farming land to build a road for new israeli construction. No incident occurs in a vacuum this shooting is a result of decades of land dispossession.

To clarify Khairy did not come from Beit Hanina but a al Tur a neighborhood nearby. Khairy alQam's grandfather was shot to death by a settler in 1998. So did khairy shoot soldiers? No he shot what the western world would call civilians but these are not ordinary civilians these civilians carry guns they teach their children that palestinians are racially inferior they think they have a divine right to colonize palestinian land. They kill palestinians unprovoked and help soldiers in attacking them, cutting down olive trees and like last night in nablus burning and destroying palestinian property. Also importantly they were once iof and maybe some of them were currently drafted when they they were killed (if im wrong id be surprised but im not)

The settler project is not just soldiers (who are settlers as well im just trying to make it easier to understand) it's these settlers who are just as dangerous as the government as the iof and they will not stop expanding their settlements and making new "outposts."

pokemon legends arceus au where rei (ill be using rei just cause thats who i played as but it works with akari too) was transported back to hisui Much Younger and, seeing as how he gets along so easily with pokemon right from the start, is seen as an ominous omen for jubilife village (let alone the whole falling from the sky bit dont ask me how baby rei got outta that unscathed)

cyllene and laventon end up watching over him but theyre both super busy with their own work that he ends up getting ostracized from the village. at some point baby rei is left unsupervised and wanders away and ends up getting lost and ends up befriending a hisuian zorua

h!zorua is super confused by this child who has no issue with it and hisuian zoroark comes up for its kid and sees the strange human child with it

h!zoroark is obvs wary at first but h!zorua is pretty attached so him plus he doesnt have the same fear / malice / etc that most humans have towards not only its kind but also pokemon in general so it lets the two play

when no one comes to find rei then h!zoroark gets suspicious and lets them play, disguises themselves as a human and goes into the village, finds out that rei’s really treated like shit by all the superstitious people! it makes the decision right then and there that rei is now its kit and adopts him

yes this is all for feral rei, once hes about 15 he wears the baneful fox mask whenever hes out on his own and at one point runs into akari which is where the plot of the game would start about

all of his pokemon arent in pokeballs, theyre just ones hes befriended and earned the trust of with the exception of the starter youre given but even then he barely keeps that in its ball either
