Living in a big city is kinda funny because every so often you get texts from people you know that are like "is everything alright I heard what happened" and I have to google my city name to figure out whats going on because I do not pay enough attention to notice anything

For example today my friend texted me "hey what's going on at your place?" Because apparently there's a big police operation 5min from my flat and I got to tell her I'm on my way to my parents and have no clue, like I wouldn't have just turned up my headphones and ignored everything if I stayed at home

starting on the anniversary collection again earlier this month, i had a realization: i don't actually remember any of simon's designs with any meaningful amount of detail (i think he's blond?? except for a remake(?) there was where he was very red). so! i thought it would be interesting to draw a version of him based on a combination of his in-game sprites and some of my feelings while playing castlevania 1. i had fun!

one of the bad things about having such low social energy/social anhedonia/little interest in interacting with others in any capacity/ Hermit Disease™ is that like.. once every FIVE months here and there I’ll get fleeting bursts of social energy and will message one or two people to catch up with old friends or etc. and then it’s like... 

tfw you message someone and then wake up the next morning to see that they REPLIED to your message so now you’re actually supposed to message them back, which is an obligation you were somehow not expecting despite the fact that YOU sent them a message

Hermes when any human person tries to make him move or manhandle him: a wall of muscle, made of solid brick, neck made of steel and unyielding to directional pressure, feet welded to the floor, somehow creates his own gravity so you can't pick him up to move him, if you try to grab a specific body part instantaneously flips around while remaining welded to the floor using magic so you can no longer reach that part of him

Hermes when Eevee is playing with him: easily gets thrown to the ground by puppy tackles because suddenly he is weak and his balance is terrible, has his head yanked around by her paws because his neck is too flimsy to resist her puppy strength, gets his face dragged across the floor by his beard which she hangs off of with her mouth like a nasty little rat because he is powerless to fight back, constantly gets flipped over onto his back and "loses" to her because she's so fast and strong he can't possibly keep her from rolling him, gets his feet and ears chomped on and tugged on because suddenly his reflexes are too slow to possibly be able to pull away in time
