shdsj aw thank you anon im glad youre enjoying it!! i know most people usually do blind playthroughs but idk i wanted to do my kinda "perfect" playthrough with my favorite choices and also just discuss my feelings on the game and characters as a whole. and also mention cool little details! like how violets hair only gets animated with the arrow if you miss the choice for some reason

plus violet deserves a playthrough where shes really appreciated cuz the ones ive seen are either indifferent to her or get mad at her especially towards the beginning where shes kinda mean to clem. which is interesting cuz like... thats kinda part of her arc ya know where she knows shes way meaner than she means to be, but its because she tries to distance herself from people emotionally. and you KNOW she doesnt mean it before you even talk to her if you pay attention to her watching clem from the wall. like shes Obviously interested but then when you first speak and shes like "fuck off" its like "hmm ok im not buying your 'mean girl' thing" and i think people miss this??

people get mad at her for that but then when she compliments clems fighting skills people Then realize shes not as abrasive as she first comes off. but then they dont carry that idea through with them for the game and still dont understand her character aND IM LIKE....... please i love her shes a HUGE softie under all that tough exterior (and scared like the rest of the kids shes just better at hiding it but its part of why she walls herself away) and so many people miss this. she even tells clem in the dorm that she doesnt mean it and people still get frustrated with her.... but i need to stop myself now because i could talk about violet forever i love her so much 🥺💜 and she gets a lot of hate for no reason. if you hate violet i dont trust you

also so many people even miss that shes so fucking gay and head over heels for clem its embarrassing like im embarrassed for them. the amount of times people end up on the bell tower and go "wait why does this kinda feel romantic?" IM LIKE I CANT DEAL WITH YOU PEOPLE its so frustrating this is why i wanted to watch an lgbt stream of it but could never find one 😭 so i was like FINE i'll do it myself!!! so im glad youre liking it anon 💕

Recently I decided that the fireside girls are phenomenal and deserve much more characterization than they got in the show. I’m very sorry for how long it took me so long to realize this!

Anyways to start off here’s some casual clothes since we never saw them outside their uniforms in the show!! Explanations for each under the cut as per usual! :D

Just a disclaimer that while I used every scrap of evidence I could find from the wikis and rewatching the failed pilot episodes that I did have to make some stuff up for these. In the future I hope to build on what the show gave us for more fully fleshed out characters but until then here’s a start!! 

Gretchen

I should let y’all know now that I did base their color schemes off of those in act your age! But I gave everyone a secondary color as well (if they didn't already have one)

Gretchen, according to the wiki is “Extremely Smart, happy” (extremely smart being unique)

She is also the only (known) one with the Saying A Word No One Else In The Room Knows Patch 

From that we can take that she’s in the same sort of archetype as Huey Duck, Violet Sabrewing, Frida (hilda), Clemont (pokemon xyz), etc. 

So I tired to base her outfit on them!

In this case it’s mostly Huey, Violet, and Frida because pokemon outfits follow different rules 

Violet and Frida’s outfits are more similar because they’re what I consider “comfortable” 

And while I love their designs I decided to go the other route!

The other route being Huey! Aka I wanted to give her a polo shirt skjdfhgk

Besides, for Gretchen’s age up design I think her outfit fits in the same category as Violet and Frida’s do! So we’ll get there eventually!

But anyways yes, I took the polo shirt from Huey then decided I should probably give her pants because she isn’t a duck where its socially acceptable to not wear pants sksajdhfgaks

So yeah a pleated skirt just seemed the right way to go yes? :D

Katie

Yes Katie is wearing crocs

Why you may ask?

BECAUSE WHAT ARE THOSE SUPPOSED TO BE OTHER THAN CROCS

LISTEN- I tried, I really did, to come up with something other than crocs

But I couldn’t hecking do it 

Well I couldn’t without ignoring this part of her character design which is 90% of what I have to go off of

Anyways from her wiki entry her personality is described as “Kind, helpful, cute”

This makes cute her only unique trait among all the fireside girls (except technically Isabella)

She’s also the only (known) one with the semaphore patch (that isn’t on her wiki but it is stated in bee story) 

btw this is totally unrelated to my design but I’m thinking what if Katie got into color guard when she’s older? skjdhfakasj idk I think she would like it

Anyways!! At another point in the wiki it mentions her “running gag” (running gag in quotations because it only happened once I watched the episode specifically looking for this) where she says/does unusual things to get a glance from the other girls

I’m taking that to mean she’s silly!!!!! 

Hence the crocs sksjdhfak

The overalls just seemed to fit her nature, and like I know Baljeet already has overalls but she’ll fight him for it k? skjhdsak

Milly

I’ll say here that Milly and Holly have the least characterization from their wikis which I’m very sad about

Okay so Milly’s  “Kind, helpful, Happy” (no unique traits), is bad with secrets (operation crumb cake), and has one more Help Thy Neighbor patch because she went back to Phineas and Ferb’s house after everyone left at some point

Unfortunately from first glance we don’t don’t have a lot to go off of character design wise with these

However!! I know another character who's bad with secrets, helpful, and wears a bow in her hair!! That's right- Webby Vanderquack (btw very sorry to anyone who hasn't watched Ducktales I’m gonna keep bringing it up because I love it a lot I’m sorry)

So I loosely based this design on Webby’s! Aka dress shirt thing (in this case, a blouse) and a skirt that I think is neat!! 

Webby’s design leans more into her nerdy side and so I made Milly’s lean toward sweetness!! (not saying Milly isn’t nerdy, there's just no evidence to suggest that she is so I didn’t lean into that) (also that would be too close to literally just drawing Webby’s outfit which I also didn’t want to do)

Holly

I’m restating that Holly and Milly get practically nothing from their wikis (Holly getting the least)

Like  “Kind, nice, helpful” -The P&F wiki on Holly

Go girl!! Give us nothing!!!!!

You may notice that for all the patches that 3 people got; Gretchen and Holly have all four (Ginger being replaced with Adyson for the Rodeo Clown patch)

In conclusion: Gretchen and Holly are best friends.

Look I know I’m blowing this a little out of proportion, but they gave me literally nothing so I’m running with what I have

Anyways!! I’m taking Gretchen and Holly being best friends as Holly is also wicked smart!!

This time basing it loosely of of Satsuki from My Neighbor Totoro because she’s who I think of for an orange and yellow color scheme! 

(she also gives me Boyd (DT again) vibes from the color I chose for the shorts though haha)

Adyson

Starting right off the bat the wiki gives us “Sometimes comical, helpful, accident-prone, nice”

Accident prone gives us bandages

Adyson also has the unique patch of the appliance repair patch 

She also used to have the record patch for earning six patches in one day before Candace broke that record!

So I gave her running shorts and a sleeveless hoodie because I take that as she’s slightly sporty (athlesure but more casual)

Adyson was really much more straightforward than the others

I had an idea in my head that made sense so I went with it, y’know?

Ginger

okay but WHY IS GINGER SO TALL

I’m not even talking about how much taller I made her here because I was basing it off of the show!!! She’s stupid tall!!! 

And like I know Stacey and her mom are both tall so of course she would be too but LOOK AT THIS

I REALLY liked her light blue and indigo color scheme in aya so I tried to keep that! 

I wish I could have incorporated a little more light blue but with the style of dress I went with that wasn’t really possible

Speaking of her dress!! Why’d I do that you may ask? 

I dunno I thought it looked cute! 

Listen- I love giving explicit reasons for each and every choice I make, but honestly there's usually a point where I have no ideas and go “eh its cute”

       It was the late night chats that were always the loneliest. Staring up into the bleak cracked ceiling, you traced the shadows cast by the moon outside with your eyes, the empty feeling filling you yet again... a void that demanded to be felt no matter the cost. It was times like these, under the cover of darkness where you were left alone with your thoughts, a yearning so deep you could swear you would unravel, leaving nothing but the shell of the person you once was.

       Man this game was fucking you up.

       Rolling on your side, you checked you phone, the bright light assaulting your eyes. Able to distinguish the time, you made your way to the Mystic Messenger app. Two minutes to 2 am. Ten minutes until you could sleep.

       With the cheery tune of the opening screen, a smile couldn't help but find its way to your face, an almost giddy sensation filling the previous void you’d longed to be filled, an otherworldly feel as you surveyed the winnings of the latest Honey Buddha Chip package on your screen. Not much, but enough for a call perhaps? A call to a certain golden haired boy? 

       One more minute until the chatroom opened.

       Your eyes surveyed the screen yet again, looking for something to do to pass the ever stretching seconds, when the familiar ring of a phone call echoed through your room. A call. From Yoosung. A glitch? Weren’t calls supposed to happen after chatrooms? 

       Without thinking you pressed answer, the smiling face the blonde avatar bore fading away as the call subtitles took its place.

      “Hello?” his voice was higher than usual, almost panicked, and yet you could feel your heart flip in your chest as his voice struck you, a small bit of reality you had left. “Hello?” came Yoosungs voice again, voice cracking near the end. “Damn it, damn it.” you heard him mutter from the other end. 

       You expected a chatbox to pop up, to respond, but nothing came, nothing but silence as the incoherent muttering came from far away on the other end. You listened intently... would anything happen? What kind of glitch was this? 

       “Hel-damn it, Seven said this would work- Hello?”

       Cheritz? Answer box please??

       You heard a deep breath on the other end, and you could almost imagine Yoosung closing his eyes as he calmed himself, one hand gripping the table to keep himself steady as the other held his phone to his ear. 

      “Hello? I- MC... that’s... thats not your real name is it. I dont know... if you can hear me, I’m praying Seven could do that for me.. I-Mc-” his voice wavered dangerously, trying his best to collect himself before he continued, his voice weaker than before, “If you can hear me... please.. say something-i- let me know you’re there.”

       Were you supposed to... answer? It felt silly, replying to the emptiness, saying something that would immediately be swallowed by the dark, but it also felt wrong to sit there doing nothing, waiting vainly for a chat box to appear. Maybe it was a new update.

       “...Hello?”

Silence.

       Just as you moved to end call, Yoosung spoke again, his voice drawn to a hush, as if he were afraid to break the fine glass line separating the two of your worlds. “You're..you’re real,” he breathed, defenses down as he himself clutched his phone desperately with both hands, pressing the device as close to his ear as he could before continuing, “I thought- that you were just a character on a screen I never- there’s so much I need to tell you, so much that-”

       “Yoosung?” was all you could muster, your mind blank at the reality you were facing, until the only thing that could be heard was your heartbeat pounding in your ears, distorting the silence of your room.

       “-And I don’t know how much time we- yes?”

There was so much you wanted to say to him...

       “Thank you,” you started. Whether this was real or not, you weren’t going to pass up an opportunity to talk to him. The idea that this might have just been another simulation broke your heart, but these were quickly rushed away when you looked down at the continuing phone call, remembering Yoosung on the other end.

       His rambling was cut by your thanks, confusing him, it was he who should be thanking you, not the other way around, he started to respond, but you beat him to it, “Yoosung I- in- in you I saw so much of myself; I was,” you took a deep breath before continuing, “so lost, wanting to move forward but so afraid to let go of the past. You showed me,” a crack in your voice as tears threatened to swallow you whole, emotions you hadn’t known you even had rising rapidly to the surface, “You showed me that it's possible to move forward even after you've lost your way. You have helped me and shown me far more kindness than anyone else ever did when I was at my lowest point and because of you I want to be a better per..son with ... every passing day.”

       You finished with a flustered breath, heat suddenly rushing to your cheeks as you realized your declaration, completely our of character from your usual stoic self. This was a game. You declared your love to... someone who wasn’t even real. The shame of idiocy spread through your chest the longer he stayed silent, only his own heavy breathing heard on the other end. 

`

       Taking a second to bring himself back together, Yoosung tried to ignore the warmth spreading through his body, heart and gut synchronized in a flustered dance, both struggling to keep up with the racing of his mind. It didn’t seem real, that the person he’d inevitably loved- continued to fall in love with day after day, was real, not just a character made up by Seven, a virus in the app.

       You heard a small giggle from Yoosung, making your heart soar. You could almost imagine his face, violet eyes shining with the threat of tears, blush adorning a smiling expression as he vainly tried to hide his face in his hands, too embarrassed by the way your words stripped him of rationality, touched him in a way where he’d lost all functionality, enraptured by your voice, by you. 

       A smile made its way onto your face as you continued, set to get everything you’d wanted to say out in the open, “You’re amazing and I just, I love you so much and I wish, I wish more guys were like you in this world. You’re so, soft, amazing, artistic, and an excellent cook? The omurice will never stop looking delicious.”

       To this he finally had a response, “It was! It was delicious! If I send you the recipe will you promise to make it?”

       “Of course.”

       “I’ll see if I can text it to you! You won't Believe the things I went through to get to this point, good thing it was worth it in the end! Being with you is always worth it..” 

       He was rambling, and the initial tenseness of the first meet shaken off as his infectious laughter filled the receiver, voice bright with excitement as he went on about the other recipes he tried in his spare time, the ones he’d always wanted to make one day for you... the ones he never could.

`

       His voice started to crack, static becoming more and more prominent as his voice was broken by what? Bad cell service? The fact that you were talking across dimensions? 

       Yoosung could be heard getting sad, his tone dropping, a melancholic need for you filling his head, suffocating him with thoughts of you. He paused his words, starting anew. “MC I... I’m sorry I think... we’re running out of time but before I go I just... I need to tell you... gah why is this so hard.”

A pause.

       “I love you... truly. You showed me kindness when there was no one who believed in me, and it’s because of your love that I’m still alive.. that I have something worth living for. Every time you play my route...” the static got worse, ripping a few words from his sentence, actively trying to separate the two of you as he went on, “...I wish I could protect you forever, make you as happy as you make me.. I wish we had more t- I wish we had more time. There’s so much I want to ask you, so much I’m sure you want to ask. Please, no matter what.. stay happy for me.”

Well...actually.. I do have one serious question for you... Yoosung Kim: does Yoosung Kim is bi?” you chuckled cautiously, a weight lifted as you heard his broken up giggle in response, and for a second you could almost believe that everything would be okay.

The static got louder, cutting in between Yoosung’s words, only fragments of a, “well - lov- ou so,- h-pe s-,” were able to be made, connection weakening, Yoosung’s presence fading away.

Tapping on the phone, where you were praying for some sort of relief, you were only met with a blank screen, his voice gone, leaving a gaping hole where he’d buried himself into your heart.

The sound of piano music led me to a bar where I met Wolf, a pianist. His beautiful music captivated me and filled me with emotions I couldn’t understand, and I ended up visiting the bar every night to listen to him play.

On the night before I was supposed to go back to Japan, he asked me about the meaning of ‘The Violet,’ and somehow, it felt like I have had this conversation before.

...In my heart was a melody that echoed all the way from a forgotten time.

Common Route

2XXX. Paris, France.

MC enters a bar where it’s been said that people can listen to piano music. Inside, the melody that plays is strangely familiar to her, and so she looks for the source of the music. She finds Mozart at the piano, who she recognizes from the videos she’s seen on the internet, but more than that, a warm feeling spreads across her chest when she sees him, and she feels like she’s known him before.

The familiar music compels her to stay, and when the song ends, she gives a round of applause and catches Mozart’s attention. He’s surprised to see her and immediately walks up to her, and MC can’t help but notice that he’s got the same eyes as the man that appears in her dreams.

MC pulls herself together and apologizes for applauding, but Mozart assures her it wasn’t a problem. She’s relieved, and after praising his performance, she asks for his name. Mozart introduces himself as ‘Wolf,’ and when MC tries to call him that, he insists that she stop being formal with him.

Leonardo appears and introduces himself as the owner of the bar. MC introduces herself as well, and she notices Leo and Mozart exchange glances. Before she could ask, Leo laughs and comments that she’s really impressed with Mozart. She nods and explains that she’s watched videos of him performing online. Hearing his music always put her at ease and it’s been one of her goals to meet Mozart in person.

MC goes on to tell them that she’s always been fond of Mozart’s (referring to the composer, and not ‘Wolf’) music ever since she was a child, and while listening online, she came across Mozart’s (Wolf) video. She also points out that the song Mozart just finished playing was one of her favorites, and mentions how while she was watching a video of the song, she was confused when the song suddenly ended since she was certain there was still more and even describes how the rest of the song goes.

Mozart is surprised that she knows, but when MC tries to remember the song title, he tells her there’s no title for it yet. He starts asking about her, and MC tells him she’s alone on vacation and plans to stay in France for five nights. Leo chimes in, encouraging her to visit again, and she tells them her hotel is nearby so she’ll make sure to drop by the following day.

MC leaves after having some drinks and food, and after Leo closes the bar, he and Mozart start talking about how MC doesn’t seem to remember them. Leo wonders if it was possible for two people to be the same in every way yet still be different people, but Mozart tells that it was impossible, saying that the woman they met was definitely MC, since only MC would know how the nameless song ended. He had intentionally refused on playing the complete version of the song in his videos since it was a song he wrote for MC, and was only meant for MC to hear.

Mozart mulls over how MC doesn’t remember him, and decides to win her over, but he’s reminded of how rocky his and MC’s relationship had started in the past. Leo wishes him good luck and leaves first, and Mozart resolves to do better in getting to know MC this time.

The next evening, MC goes back to the bar to listen to the piano, and arrives just after Mozart finishes playing. He immediately notices her and greets her with a smile. Mozart starts acting like the perfect gentleman, doting on her, telling her not to hesitate to ask if she needed anything. MC is a little confused by his change in demeanor, but admits that she wanted to talk more with him, and Mozart relents under the condition that she stops being so formal with him.

MC agrees and tries calling him ‘Wolf’ sans the honorifics. Mozart’s pleased and asks if she had any song requests and promises to play them as thanks for visiting the bar again. After she lists down a few songs, Mozart goes back to the piano and MC watches him play. She’s completely amazed by his performance, and when Mozart gets back to her, he points out how she still enjoys music the same way, and how slack jawed she was that someone could probably toss a piece of chocolate into her mouth.

MC’s surprised, and Mozart realizes what he just said and immediately corrects himself by saying how innocent she looked while listening to him play. MC takes it as a compliment, but even though the first thing he said was a bit rude, she didn’t feel that it was said out of malice. Mozart then suggests that he play her another song since it was still early, and because he wanted to see more of her laughing face.

MC blushes at his words and finds it strange that even though they just met, it felt like they’ve known each other for a long time, and she wants to spend more time with him. She ends up going to the bar every night to listen to Mozart play the piano. On the fourth night of her stay in France, Mozart asks her if she could spend her last day in France with him. She agrees, and when she gets back to her hotel, she realizes that when her trip is over, she won’t be able to see Mozart again.

The fact upsets her, and she starts looking back on the time she’s been spending with him. Even though he was being a kind gentleman, it somehow felt forced, as if Mozart was trying to hide his real self, and before she goes to bed, she wishes to know more about him.

The next day, MC and Mozart meet up and go to a grand hall. MC is amazed as it dawns on her that it’s a concert hall, and Mozart affirms that they’ll be watching a concert featuring classical music. MC asks if it’s because she mentioned how she liked Mozart’s (the composer, not Wolf) music. Mozart admits that’s partly the reason, but also because this particular concert was one he directed.

MC’s shocked, and Mozart explains that being a pianist at the bar was just a hobby, and that his actual job was being a music producer and composer, but doesn’t make too many public appearances. Just as the concert begins, MC realizes Mozart’s a mysterious person. Music starts to play and she’s immediately captivated as the band performs jazz arrangements of Mozart’s music. 

The band plays ‘The Violet’ as a finale, and MC loves the song, but can’t recall where she first heard it. She tries to remember, but all she gets are flashes from a different time and place where she’s talking to someone she can’t recognize. As the song comes to an end, she steals a glance at Mozart, and she can’t help but think that he and the mystery person are alike.

They drive back to her hotel after the concert, and on the ride back, it suddenly hits MC that she’s really going home the next day. She starts making small talk, gushing over how good the concert was and how much she really liked ‘The Violet.’ Mozart asks if she knew the story behind it, and MC says yes, recounting the poem about how a violet fell in love with a shepherdess, only to die without its feelings ever being known when she accidentally stepped on it, but still happy they had met.

Mozart then asks her if she really thought the violet was happy, and she nods and tells him that the flower was happy enough that it was able to meet the shepherdess. Mozart then remarks how she still replied the same way, and appears sad and lonely. MC offers another explanation though, saying that the flower was happy not because it met the shepherdess, but because it was able to spend its life with her until the very last moment.

Her alternative explanation surprises Mozart and he asks her where she heard that. MC tries to remember, but when she does, she gets a headache as more scenes with the mystery man flash before her eyes. Mozart notices her distress and parks the car to make sure she’s alright. MC accidentally calls him ‘Mozart,’ but quickly takes it back and reasons out that she must’ve mixed up the names since they were talking about him so much. In the back of her mind though, she can’t shake the feeling that the names ‘Wolf’ and ‘Mozart’ were somehow connected.

Mozart then goes on to comment on how she’s so frustrating, saying that if she had completely forgotten about him, then he would have let her go, but now that he’s seen that there’s a possibility she remembers him, he won’t be able to leave it be. He then gets out of the car, and when MC follows after him, he hands her a bouquet of violets, saying that the love the violet had was not something quiet and modest, rather it was a passionate and intense love.

Wolf: This feeling… Without you, I can’t bear it.

Chance Meeting End (Sweet End):

The two of us, connected by an unseen thread, fall into a love that cannot be fought for a second time.... 

“Even if you don’t remember me, I have always thought of you*.”

As Mozart speaks, he gently touches MC’s cheek, and although his touch is familiar, MC can’t figure out why. Mozart goes on to say there really was no one else for him except MC, and acknowledges that his words likely confused her.

Mozart lets go but MC grabs his hand, and she starts telling him about her dreams about living in France and listening to piano music. She then realizes that the nameless song and ‘The Violet’ weren’t songs she had listened to as a kid, but rather songs she had heard from her dreams. She starts considering that her dreams could be memories from a different time, and asks Mozart if he was there and if he knew anything about the music she heard.

Wolf: …Yes. I always played songs for you. You always happily listened to my piano, with the same laughing face you wear.

Mozart then explains how he promised he’d find her again, and gently squeezes her hand. MC starts tearing up and apologizes since she really can’t remember, but she admits that when she’s with him and listens to his music, she knows in her heart that he’s important to her. Mozart smiles and lets her know that that’s enough for him.

MC tells him that even though she doesn’t remember, she still likes him, but Mozart asks her think it over first, saying that if she doesn’t remember, then she doesn’t completely know what kind of person he is, and she might end up not liking him when she gets to know more about him. He tells her that he wants to be able to respect her, because she’s important to him.

A similar memory where Mozart says the same thing flashes before MC, and it confirms her feelings for Mozart. She realizes he’s holding back for her sake, and so she conveys her feelings in no uncertain terms by kissing him on the cheek. Mozart’s surprised, saying she was acting the way she used to in the past, and asks why she would do that to someone she had just met, but MC argues she already knows him.

They bicker back and forth about it for a while, but then MC points out that they’ve had a similar conversation before. Mozart confirms that much, saying that it was back when he tried to leave her, and he then pulls her into a hug.

He tells her that even if she might come to her senses one day and end up disliking him, he wasn’t going to give up on something he wants. Mozart kisses her on the lips before saying he’ll see her off at the airport. He admits he doesn’t want to let her go, but they could always meet up and write to each other.

Wolf:  So, someday – I hope you’ll come to love me, the same way I love you.

Mc’s overwhelmed by the affection she sees in his eyes and starts tearing up again. To her, it feels like she’s been waiting for this moment all her life. She wishes she’ll be able to remember her past someday, and she looks forward to spending her future with Mozart.

Fated Love End (Premium End)

His feelings that have endured over time, rouse sleeping memories within me— . 

“Within my heart, you are there. There is ... no greater happiness than this.”

Hearing Mozart’s words, MC knows she’s heard them before, and as the scent of violets surround her, her memories of her time with Mozart in 19th Century France come back to her. She recalls how they lived a long, happily married life together, and recalls the promise Mozart made.

Wolf: “…If there really is such a thing as reincarnation, I will find you again.”

MC feels tears well up in her eyes as she tells Mozart that she remembers everything. She apologizes for making him wait so long, and thanks him for helping her regain her memories. Just as she thinks that Mozart was about to start tearing up too, he hugs her tightly, telling her he’s been waiting for so long and was about to give up on ever seeing her again. He then apologizes for almost giving up, and says he needs to thank Leo since he was the one who came up with the idea of posting videos of him playing the piano in hopes of reaching her.

MC thanks him again, saying that it was his feelings that made it possible for them to meet again.

Wolf: …For not remembering easily, don’t you think you should get a penalty? For example, listening to anything I have to say.

MC: …When we first met again, you were so kind and gentlemanly.

Mozart: That’s… I didn’t want to scare you off. If we met again and you disliked me, I wouldn’t be able to bear it.

MC smiles, happy that he hasn’t changed even after all this time. She tells him that even if he was mean, she still loved him, and that even if she hadn’t regained her memories, she still would have fallen in love with him all over again.

They kiss, and when they pull away, Mozart asks her to spend the night with him. MC accepts, and they go back to Mozart’s apartment. He explains that while he rents the apartment so he has a place to stay while working, he still usually goes home to the mansion. MC asks about the other residents, and he tells her they’re all happy to know he found her again. He then tells her that’s a story for another time and pulls MC into an embrace.

He asks if she’s nervous, and she admits that much. Mozart then tells her he’ll love her so much that she’ll be able to forget about her nerves and suddenly pushes her down on the bed. MC’s surprised, but Mozart chuckles, saying that it’s been a while since he’s seen her frightened expression. She tries to act mad, but both of them just end up laughing.

Wolf: To have you in my arms like this… I don’t think I could be any happier.

Mc gently touches Mozart’s cheek and he holds her hand. They promise to each other that they won’t ever be apart again, and they spend the night together.

A few years prior to Mozart and MC meeting again, Mozart plays the piano at the bar after Leo closes for the day, and he mulls over how it’s been so long since he made his promise to her and how unbearable it’s been to live without her.

Leo shows up, surprised that he’s still there, and asks if he was thinking about MC. He confirms as much, and thinks about how his music hasn’t felt the same ever since she passed, even though he still played as he usually did. Leo comments on how difficult it’s been to find MC, and how Mozart even pushed aside his dislike for planes just so he could travel and look for her.

Mozart points out that there was no guarantee of MC being reborn in the first place and the chances of them meeting by accident were even slimmer. Despite that, he refuses to give up, saying that even if there was the smallest chance they’d meet again, Mozart intended to keep his promise to her. Leo then smiles and offers him a suggestion – to let MC find Mozart instead.

Leo explains that Mozart’s music might trigger MC’s memories and could encourage her to seek Mozart out, but he attaches a disclaimer that it was all just a theory. He then tells him that he posted videos online of Mozart playing the piano with the bar’s address noted, saying that it’d help both Mozart’s cause and the bar’s popularity. Mozart’s concerned about the unwanted attention he’d gain, but Leo assures him that he kept his face obscured so he wouldn’t have to worry about his producer job.

Mozart calms down and wonders if something like that would bring MC to him, and decides to go along with Leo’s plan. He tells Leo to take more videos of him at the piano to make sure it’ll reach MC, and he decides to play the song he composed for her. He doesn’t plan to play it to the end though, thinking that it was pointless to play it without MC beside him. Before he starts, he recalls all the happy memories he had of MC, and when he starts playing, he feels like the piece he’s been missing has come back, if only by a little.

Time passes and Mozart continues to play at the bar anonymously. One night, on a whim, he decides to play MC’s favorite song. When the song ends, he hears applause and is reminded of a time when MC would give him a round of applause when he played, and it’s almost as if he could hear her voice.

Mozart looks up from his piano and spots MC in the crowd. He’s speechless, and despite all the people around them, all he sees is her. Mozart gets up and approaches MC. She gets self-conscious, but after he assures her everything’s fine, she praises him and asks for his name. Mozart realizes she doesn’t remember her, and although he’s frustrated over it, he’s just as happy to be able to see her again.

He introduces himself as ‘Wolf,’ thinking that it could help her remember him, but he also reminds himself that it was more than enough that they were able to meet. Still, he hopes that MC would take his hand again, and swears he won’t give up on her.

a/n: listen y’all: this wasn’t supposed to be over 500 words, but i got really invested in it,, so here you go,,, enjoy.

“Would you please stay still?" you whined to Jimin, who couldn't help but laugh even more as he kept twirling around. "I need you to not move for just a few minutes, is that so hard to do?" a groan escaped your lips as you continued to complain to your best friend.

 Jimin didn't answer, instead preferring to hum along with the almost silent melody playing. Although you would have adored seeing Jimin dance, going through endless hours of supplementary classes with Mrs Choi wasn’t on your to-do list. Shivers immediately overtook you just thinking about it.

“Look, we can play ballerinas later,” you tried to explain after gently placing your camera down, standing up more than ready to give Jimin a piece of your mind, “just a few poses and we’re done!”

“What if I want to play ballerinas now?” you would have loved nothing more than to rip that pretty smile of his off his face, but your portfolio was in dire need of him. “Plus, wouldn’t a photo in motion be better?” he asked, walking right behind you as you picked up your beloved camera. His smile died the moment you turned around, a glare plastered on your face. “Y’know, if you keep glaring like that you’ll get wrinkles.”

“Jimin, I swear to God –”

“Fine, fine,” he gave up, finally sitting down on the stool you prepared for him. Things were thankfully pretty silent except for a few giggles here and there. And after fifteen minutes, just like you said, you were done. Despite being tiring, you loved taking photos of Jimin. You loved doing it so much you were sure you would have filled up your portfolio with photos of Jimin alone by now. And who could blame you? From head to toe, he was stunning.

 As much as you loved photography, dealing with deadlines, professors and life in general were more than you could handle. A long sigh could be heard as you slowly packed up the few pieces of equipment you brought, not ready for the upcoming all-nighter. Fortunately, Jimin promised he would keep you company since he was keen on supporting his best friend and had nothing better to do. Just as you were about to pick up your bag, something caught your attention. It was a piece of paper, a letter to be exact. It was just an ordinary letter, you thought before you caught a glimpse at the words “Park Jimin” and “Congratulations” together in the same sentence.

“Have you seen my…” words got caught in his throat as shock took over his features.

“You’re going to AVA?!” a rosy blush painted Jimin’s cheeks, bashfully scratching the back of his head. Despite the jumble of emotions you were going through all at once, you hurriedly hugged him, crumbling the letter you were still holding in the process. You knew you should have felt happy for Jimin, it was one of his biggest dreams after all, but you couldn’t help your poor heart as it slowly broke into pieces. “How did this happen?”

“I have been apparently invited thanks to an old teacher’s recommendation, and I’ll be going as his protégé,” he whispered, hugging you tight against his chest, ”but I wasn’t really planning on going.“ Jimin continued with a sad smile.

 Your eyes became the size of golf balls as you stared at him in disbelief. What was that supposed to mean? In the past four years you’ve known Jimin, going there was his greatest wish. So why wouldn’t he go? “Are you stupid? How can you possibly say that?!” you questioned as you kept hitting his chest. “This is your biggest chance! Don’t throw it away like that!” it was true. The academy was renowned for its worldwide known artists, especially choreographers. If anyone deserved to be known, it was definitely Jimin. You loved teasing him, calling him a ballerina and so on, but all in all, you knew he was talented. And such talents deserved to be known.

“I know, it’s just that I don’t want to go to France –”

“If you’re thinking about not leaving because of me,” you interrupted him, taking hold of one of his hands as you led him out the studio. You knew him all too well. Jimin was a sweetheart through and through. Of course he wouldn’t want to leave you. And judging from the way his expression changed, you were more than sure you were right, “you have nothing to worry about! How long you’ll be staying, anyway?”

“One year.”

 Exhaustion took over your body the moment you touched your bed. Your conversation with Jimin ended shortly after, leaving you puzzled and overwhelmed. The sleepover became long forgotten as you both parted ways the first chance you had. It was an uncomfortable subject for both you and Jimin to talk about. Thousands of thoughts were running through your mind, a small ball of anxiety slowly but surely building up. Jimin was going to leave, there was no denying in that. It was an opportunity he couldn’t just turn down for some flimsy photographer. You knew he’d be amazing. You knew he’d be a star. 

    A sudden need to procrastinate struck you, Mrs Choi being one of your least worries at the time, but knowing you wouldn’t be able to hear the end of it, you stood up, grabbing your laptop from the nightstand and your camera, not ready to dive into the wonderful world of editing. It wasn’t anything too interesting. At first at least.

 As you were selecting the photos, you came across a few oddballs. You smiled, looking through the pictures of your first year in college with Jimin. Not many things have changed since then. You were still you, and Jimin was still Jimin. You were still here, and Jimin was still here. For now, at least. He will be leaving for France who knows when. You were too shocked to even ask. And he’ll be gone a year. A whole year. It was heartbreaking and amazing at the same time. You knew he won’t forget you, he’ll come back and that you’ll finally be able to confess. Or so you’d like to think. Your buzzing phone made you realise you were crying and that you got a new message from Jimin.

jiminnie: are you ok? [10:50 pm]

 As you kept wiping your tears away, you thought about a good way to answer him. You didn’t want to worry him any more.

you: yeah wdym? [10:52 pm]

jiminnie: well, it’s a lot to take in all at once [10:52 pm]

jiminnie: i’m sorry. i was waiting for the right moment to tell you. [10:53 pm]

 Of course, he would. Waiting for the right moment to tell you he wasn’t going.

you: don’t worry, i get it. it’s not something you can just casually drop in a conversation. [10:53 pm]

jiminnie: yeah… [10:53 pm]

jiminnie: anyway, wanna go on a date tomorrow? :D [11:09 pm]

 The moment the word ‘date’ popped up on your screen, you snorted. Park Jimin, your best friend and your secret crush, was asking you on a date? Tomorrow? It wasn’t unusual for Jimin to act like the dearest peach there was, and going on little dates like this was his way of showing how much he loved spending time with you. You couldn’t help but beam at your screen as you typed your answer.

you: that would be lovely. [11:10 pm]

jiminnie: great! pick you up at 4? [11:10 pm]

you: of course!! <3 [11:11 pm]

 Just like he said, he was by your doorstep at four, ready to pick you up and take on your date. Or so-called adventure, as he liked to name it. Jimin made your destination unknown to you, talking about things such as the element of surprise. It was only when your walk came to an end that you realised what Jimin meant when he called it an ‘adventure’. It brought a smile to Jimin’s face to see your hilarious expression.

“We’re going to Lotte World?” you asked, letting out a breathy chuckle. Of course, he would bring you to Lotte World. He loved going to the aquarium, especially with you. Although most of the time crammed, Jimin loved walking around the aquarium, having meaningful conversations along the way. Since going to Busan every time he felt down was too much of a hassle, visiting the pretty sea creatures was the closest thing to home. It was as if the water soothe all his worries. So it came as no surprise that he would bring you here in one of the most stressful times of his life.

 You loved walking around with Jimin. Just like the water soothed Jimin, his presence alone soothed you. Words weren’t needed as you both walked in silence. It always started like this. You would be wandering for a few minutes, without uttering a single word, until you’d find the jellyfish tank and talk there. You found it funny how every time you’d take a different route as if that would change the end result. This time was no exception. In the end, you still found yourself admiring Jimin’s contagious smile as he awed in wonder at the numerous jellyfish in front of him.

“So,” you started, feeling the urge to look down, eyeing your still intertwined hands. Another thing you absolutely adored about him. He loved physical contact. It wasn’t anything perverted, he just enjoyed showing his appreciation through gentle touches such as this one, “is there something you want to talk about?”

“Not really.” he didn’t turn around, still mesmerized by the marine creatures, casting thousands of deep violet and azure shadows across his face.

“That’s a lie and you know it.”

“No…” he turned around to look at you. “Well, maybe. But I have a good reason why I didn’t bring it up.”

“And I would love to hear why.”

 For a moment, he let go of your hand, feeling himself getting nervous. His safe place didn’t seem so safe all of a sudden. “Because I don’t want to upset you.” his answer made you roll your eyes, already able to fathom what he was about to say.

“I’m a big girl, Jimin. I’m sure I can handle it.”

 He took a deep breath as if preparing to go on stage, his smile ready to falter any moment. “You see,” he started, but then stopped, preparing himself for what was about to come, “I don’t really want to leave you –”

“Don’t you dare finish that sentence,” you said, walking towards him as he took a few steps back away from you. The moment you were facing each other you took hold of his shoulders, staring deep into his brown sorry eyes, “I don’t know how many times I’ll have to tell you this, but I’ll say it a million times if I need to. I am going to be fine.”

“I know, it’s just that I can’t help but feel all fidgety about this,” he replied, displaying one of his rare bitter looks. “Can’t you just come with me?” Jimin continued with a mutter, laughing to himself shortly after.

“You know I can’t.” you mimicked the same hurt smile, loosening your grip on his shoulders. “But it shouldn’t matter. Because this is it, Jimin. This is your big chance.” you started whispering, trying your hardest to ignore the few passersby who kept staring at you two.

 Just before Jimin was about to say something, you were so rudely interrupted by his phone. His expression only worsened as he kept staring at his phone screen. “It’s work. I have to go.” he sighed, allowing one of his hands to messily roam through his hair. “I promise we’ll continue talking later,” he said before engulfing you in a bear hug. You used to think Jimin’s hugs were the best. They were so warm, so full of love. But this one was different. It was so sad. It made you want to cry.

 After that day, you never got to talk later. Of course, you saw Jimin almost every day, going on little dates in the park, even at a concert, but as his leave grew closer and closer, he kept trying to avoid the subject, to dodge any questions. And that day, at the dance studio, was no exception. Although a bit childish, Jimin has always been camera-shy. The occasions in which Jimin would ask you to take photos of him were rare. So him asking you to take a video of him out of nowhere surprised you to say the least. It was quiet except for the mellow music playing. It became background noise as your eyes were focused on Jimin. He was really something else while dancing. His every move made you gasp in awe, every little glance he threw your way making your heart flutter in the best way possible. It made you so happy to see him dance again, even if it constantly reminded you that he’d have to leave you soon. It made you feel horrible for even wishing he’d stay here instead.

“I know my dancing is good, but I never knew it is good enough to make you cry.” Jimin panted out, wiping away the few tears from the corner of your eye. “Are you ok?”

“Yes, of course,” you answered letting out a sniff. You felt like a baby for crying in front of him. He didn’t need to deal with any other nuisances. “Just a little tired, I guess.”

“So you start crying whenever you’re tired?” his question made you both laugh, as he took hold of your hands. “How about we take a break?” as if it was already planned, the music was smoother, entrancing you into a gentle atmosphere that surrounded you and Jimin as he dragged you from behind the camera.

“We’ll take a break later.”

“You don’t sound very convincing.”

“Jimin, I need a few more takes.”

“We have enough.” he shushed, twirling you around as you tried to escape his enchanting gaze. “Just five minutes.” he brought you close to his chest, pulling you into his little jig. “Just dance with me for five minutes.”

 Although reluctant, you wordlessly agreed, leaning your head against his chest as you hummed along with Jimin’s heartbeat. It felt warm, leaving you wanting more of these moments. It was easy to tell Jimin was enjoying himself as well.

“Is this why you wanted me to film you?” he chuckled, the vibration resonating through his chest.

“Not really. As shocking as it might sound, I actually need the video.”

“What for?”

“For y’know… AVA.”

“Weren’t you already recognized as eligible for the program?” his words caught your attention, bothering you in the process.

“It’s more of a reference thing, I’m not really sure.” he sighed but spun you around nonetheless. “They suddenly emailed me this morning, telling me I should submit a video before I leave.”

 This rose more than a few burning questions. When was he leaving? Was he actually going to leave? If so, was he ready? It intrigued you to no end. Your face might have made it obvious.

“I’m leaving the day after tomorrow if that’s what you’re wondering.” his answer made you audibly gasp, slightly pushing Jimin away. He was leaving the day after tomorrow?! And he didn’t bother to tell you up until now?!

“I hope you’re not planning on bailing at the last second.”

“Is that how you really think of me? Of course not! This is my big chance, after all.” and with his sigh, your song came to an end, leaving both you in a more than awkward silence.

 It ended just like a month ago. Your discussion with Jimin fell short, leaving you miserable and bothered on your way home. It felt horribly repetitive. Like you were stuck in some soap opera. It became even worse as you looked through the footage of your little break with Jimin. Even though it lasted only a few minutes, it was so pretty and so fun. It was nice. There were so many things to do, to talk about, to sort out, but you couldn’t even get up. All you did was watch the five minutes clip over and over again, wishing it was just a tiny bit longer.

 The next day wasn’t any better. Nostalgia took over your body as you started crying. You’ll miss Jimin so damn much, it wasn’t even funny anymore. You couldn’t bring yourself to wake up, to eat, to answer your phone, to do anything. You felt so disappointed in yourself. Yet you did nothing, looking at the clean white walls of your bedroom for what seemed like endless hours as if your body shut down. And you couldn’t understand why. It was such a useless thing to do. And you hated that. It was around midnight when you started watching the little clip again, more than ready to be you again. You did somehow manage to finish the supposed ‘reference’ video earlier that day and send it to Jimin, meaning you had all the time in the world to finish your little surprise.

 By the time you were done, you collapsed the moment your head made contact with your pillow. Unfortunately, your very few hours of peace were stalled by your alarm. An awfully hoarse groan left your lips the moment you looked at your phone screen, realising after mere seconds that you had only a few hours left before Jimin’s departure. As if your body was on auto-pilot, you stood up, rummaging through your apartment desperate to catch up with Jimin. Your houses were relatively close to one another, taking you around a ten minutes run to finally reach his flat. You could feel your knees buckle as you panted your heart out. You promised yourself you won’t take the stairs for the next few years after the atrocity that just occurred. Weakly, you rang the bell, praying with heavy breaths that Jimin hasn’t left yet. As soon as the door opened, you straightened up, making eye contact with a more than not ready Jimin.

“Why are you shirtless?”

“Because I just woke up.” he murmured in a hoarse voice, supporting his point along with the massive bed head going on at the time.

“Well, what are you doing? Come on, you have to get ready!” you huffed, dragging him inside as Jimin constantly tried to slow you down. “What about your baggage?”

“It’s not done.”

“What do you mean ‘it’s not done’?!”

“It’s not done because I’m obviously not going.” you let go of his hand, turning around to look at him. After all the crying and all those talks, he still wasn’t planning on going? For the second time in your life, you could hear your heart breaking. It felt awful. You felt awful.

 With a long sigh, you took hold of his hand again, this time slowly softening your grip as you guided him towards the living room. You felt the sudden need to sit down with Jimin. “Is there something wrong, Jimin?” you’ve asked him this question many times before, but this time, it felt different. You weren’t angry, your voice was soft as silk, luring him in. It was Jimin who tightened his grip on your hand as he kept looking down, disappointment splattered across all over his face. “Why don’t you want to leave?” he was at a loss of words. He couldn’t answer you. Or at least he didn’t want to. He could tell he hurt you, and so hesitation became a constant sentiment in Jimin’s heart. It struck you as odd to see him this closed off. Usually, he would open up immediately about what’s bothering him, brushing it off with a sweet smile shortly after. It worried you to no end to be face to face with this Jimin. As time continued to go by, Jimin continued to say nothing. It was as if he was collecting his thoughts, thinking about what to say.

“I’m just scared,” Jimin finally whispered, afraid to accept what he felt, “I’m scared I’m gonna mess everything up.” he continued as he kept tracing your knuckles, trying to calm his rapid heartbeat. “Plus you can’t come with me, so I’ll basically be alone. And you know how much my French sucks!”

“You’re such an idiot sometimes, you know that?” you giggled, finally giving him the USB stick you were holding. “We can always video call and text each other! So whenever you’re sad, just know that I’m one call away.”

“It’s not the same thing…” he kept whining, inspecting the little stick you just gave him.

“With that attitude, it sure isn’t.” he laughed at your reply, sitting just the tiniest bit closer to you. “And as I said before, you’ll do great Jimin. And I know how much you’ve wanted this…” you said drowsily, the lack of sleep slowly getting to you. After that, none of you continued your conversation. You tried your hardest to convince Jimin why he should leave. It was up to him whether or not he would go, you just wanted to make sure you weren’t the one holding him back.

 You couldn’t remember when, but Jimin got up. In what seemed like a few minutes because of your nap, he was ready. You didn’t know what to do. Should you cry? Should you laugh? It all felt so surreal! The next you knew, you were at the airport, walking along Jimin, looking for the airline desk. You still couldn’t believe what was about to happen. Jimin was about to be gone. For a whole year. It hurt just to even think about it. But you knew it was the best thing that could happen to Jimin, so you smiled. You smiled as he came back, all ready to go through security and board the plane. All ready to leave you. You smiled as he tightly hugged you, his scent, his presence immediately invading every part of your being.

“I’m gonna miss your hugs so much,” you mumbled, afraid to ruin your moment, feeling tears run down your face.

“I’ll miss you too,” he chuckled, clearing away your tears as always, to which you hugged him tighter, “you really should stop crying. Who knows, I might change my mind.”

“Don’t even joke about that!” you whimpered, pinching his arm.

“Then here,” he said holding out his pinky finger. “Let’s make a promise.” 

“a pinky promise?” you snorted but intertwined your finger nonetheless, feeling your heart flutter at his little grin. 

“Promise me you’ll stop crying.”

“Then you’ll have to promise to come back!” you squealed a little too excitedly, making Jimin’s smile grow.

“I promise,” he said, pecking your lips before going, ready to pass through security, leaving you breathless.

 You’ll really miss Jimin, your soon-to-be boyfriend.

Pokémon SoulSilver Randomized Nuzlocke [Part 1]

Since I haven’t fully learned from my mistakes, hey! It’s time for another Nuzlocke. With extra Randomizer action for reasons that are going to be very apparent as I go through this set’s rules.

I’m going to try what this person on the internet calls a Chainlocke, though with slight alterations for the sake of sanity; basic idea is that my catch Types have to be linked. If I catch a Grass/Poison pokemon, my next option has to have one of those in common.

That gets thorny really fast, which I guess is the point, but I’m more about wacky fun than serious challenges. So to make things more entertaining, I will be randomizing every pokemon in the wild, as well as NPC gifts and trades. All the other Trainers keep their original stuff. I get to be special.

So. Rules:

Only the first viable pokemon of each route may be caught.

Gift pokemon are cool to use.

In-game trades are also cool.

‘Viable’ in this case means that they must have a Type in common with the most recent caught pokemon.

The starter will be starting that chain despite not technically being caught by me. Because I feel like it.

Each pokemon must receive a nickname.

If a pokemon faints, it is considered dead. It will go in an appropriately named box in the PC.

In the event of a team wipe, the run will continue with whatever’s left (alive) in the PC.

I love how Silver’s most defining feature is his red hair.

After a short visit home to tell our mom we are far too irresponsible to be trusted with all of the money we’re going to earn from mugging other children, plus a short tutorial on catching things, we can finally get started!

Smoochum is the only thing available in the routes we’ve visited so far, but I haven’t checked out the northern one right outside the starting town yet.

But the walking takes the decision out of my hands! We encounter a level 4 Smoochum, and as per the rules, that is what I have to go for. Lest I kill the route.

I guess that answers my question about its Typing. Ruh roh. Signal Beam was a mistake. For multiple reasons, now that I’m taking a second to think about it. Whoops. Any game that requires me to think is screwed from the start, honestly.

Route 31 has an Elekid as the first thing I see and the rules say I can’t catch it. What horrible person came up with this. Seviper and Lopunny are also here. Those I care less about.

The person who usually gives you an Onix for a Bellsprout in whatever this city is (Violet) offers a Corphish for a Kecleon. Things to keep in mind if I ever find a Kecleon. That I can catch.

In no version of this game have I ever done this egg thing. I was unaware there even was an egg thing, since anything that requires me to pick the right word out of the hat of words bores me to tears. Then I started watching too many people play Pokemon games on the internet.

A friendship bracelet? Yozora turned over the multi-coloured trinket in her hand. It beamed a bright mixture of yellow, pink and green, with its beads the shape of tiny rounded stars, and protrusions that prodded at her skin when dragged it along her palms. That's so childish, she thought. Even Kodaka and I didn't have them when we were kids.

Object as she might inside her own head, she couldn't find the bravery to do so in front of her friend's face when she lifted her gaze from her gift. A curious doe-eyed face stared expectantly back at her, sapphire pools wide open, judging Yozora's studied expression. Presents were Sena's key way of showing affection, Yozora knew this to be true. And gift giving was a thing that friends did on occasion; a vulnerable, sacred act in specific, when it came to the two girls. There would be time to lob insults at her, when the blonde deserved it better. Now?

Now all Yozora felt right to do was to grin back at her benefactor, sliding the bracelet onto her own wrist. On her right, her dominant hand, and the most prominent place to see it during her daily rituals. Sena's lips curled into a smile at the spectacle, bright eyes lighting up with sparkles, akin to a clear night sky. In response, she brought her own wrist over to Yozora's, a similarly coloured bangle matching the one the dark-haired girl just donned. “See now?” She began, her friend letting her explain. “Isn’t it cool? We totally match -- we’re exclusive!”

Exclusive was one way to put it.

“This is what you mean by making me special?“ A jest, thrown by Yozora, accompanied with a chiding smile. It was cute, she’d thought, the moment spurring up memories from the Christmas party not too long ago they’d both attended. Except now, instead of being huddled over by each other’s side in the club room, they were face to face sitting on Sena’s plush mattress, dressed up casually in their pajamas.

“Not really. Well, maybe?” The blonde pouted, cocking her head to the side for the moment. “I mean, it’s true that trading and wearing these is a sign of our friendship. And I guess,” her eyes darted over their colours, the plastic bits clattering against each other with a slight shift of her hand, “if we have them on all the time outside, people will know of our bond, and how strong it is between us, won’t they?”

“You wanna tell everyone I’m special?“ And... and yours?

Blue eyes searched her face once again for hesitation and doubt. “Why, do you have a problem with that?”

“No,“ Yozora replied. Her feelings were honest about Sena’s embellishment of her status. Though, she couldn’t help but imagine the gift was much more intimate than it really should’ve been. The hair clip she’d received from her friend on her birthday had been a symbol for her and her alone, even though it was a gift from someone else. So it was subtle, in its own way. It already matched the rest of her wardrobe, too. But this one? The girl would need to check twice before it looked more like a cry for help, paired with stuff from her own closet.

Sena’s smile put her worries to rest for the time being. “Good. I mean, of course you wouldn’t!” There was her eccentric bravery and pride once again, Yozora thought, as she leaned back into the pillow behind her, stretching out her legs as she watched her friend sit up straight. “It’s not every day that someone gets to be endorsed by a goddess like me. And now, with these bracelets, everyone at school’s going to know!” Confidence exuding through her form, pure and unbridled. “Just watch,” the Kashiwazaki continued, determination pouring through her essence. “Your reputation at school’s bound to sky rocket again!”

“Yeah, if you mean for getting in trouble.” One snide remark wouldn’t hurt, would it? “We’re not supposed to wear accessories like these around campus.” her friend corrected, getting cozy with the bedding. “Though, I don’t think I need to do anything about my reputation. School Council’s unnecessary work, anyway. With Hidaka--”

“Hinata.“

“Hidaka,“ Yozora corrected, shooting Sena a glare, “off the chairman position now, it’s safe to say my representative days are over. Good riddance.”

Sena laid herself beside her friend, trapping a pillow between her and her arm, slipped underneath it. Against the pink, her friend’s nearly bursting purple velveteen top paired with tight white shorts made it clear that her graciousness wasn’t lost, even between two girls. “Don’t you ever want to go back?” She questioned, and Yozora reasoned it to Sena’s growing friendship with her sister that was growing ever the more suspicious, even for her.

“I don’t need to,“ she returned, setting her arms together, fingers playing with the beads on her wrist. At the risk of being cheesy, Yozora pressed herself forward, taking in a breath before expelling the words, “All I ever wanted is right here.”

She swore Sena’s heart jumped at those words. Her own mirrored in turn, beating hard against her chest. “Don’t get too excited,” she started, urging herself to continue in haste, “You, Rika, Kodaka, our Neighbours’ Club -- I never needed anything else like status and reputation to be happy.”

They made eye contact. It almost felt like a challenge, Yozora felt, a beckoning for her friend to take the reigns and come back at her with questions. She knew if anything her friend had copious amounts of affection for her, though what kind and exactly how intense her feelings were, the dark-haired beauty couldn’t place her bets (and a part of her was still debating if she ever wanted to know). Eventually, Sena closed her eyes, humming as she put herself in thought, and Yozora let out a breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding onto. 

“But the bracelets are still fine, right?” Sena eventually mentioned, withdrawing her hand from underneath her cover, examining the konpeito-like mess that had begun to shift, moving up towards her arm. Yozora agreed, looking over her own duplicate, before the blonde waved off her own concerns and started prepping her side of the bed for rest. This left her friend, her servant to rise, turning off the lights for both of them, before heading back to bed to sleep.

Yozora hated how the stars dug into her skin, after experiencing its use for only so long.

It had only been a day and the bracelets were already noticed. Whether it be an organic catch of the eye due to its bright colours or if Sena just off-handedly mentioned it to everyone Rika in the club room, Yozora wasn’t one to know.

All the blonde did was glance behind her for a moment to check who’d entered their space, before setting her eyes back to the television screen behind her, more focused on completing the route she’d set her sim character on. Meanwhile, she let Rika start off greeting the girl and her childhood friend, Kodaka trailing behind their club leader and giving his junior a wave.

“Yozora! Ah, Kodaka, did you see it?“

“See? See what?“

Silence from the dark-haired beauty, as she brushed past the scientist and made her way over to the end of the table, eyes glancing over at Sena’s eroge for a minute.

“The friendship bracelets! It’s such a cute idea, isn’t it?“

Yozora squirmed.

“What friendship bracelets? Do you want one between us to share? Or is this for the Neighbours’ Club in general?“

The club leader and the present gamer shared a quick glance between them -- in an instant their feelings of irritation and embarrassment became clear. Yozora’s glare was harsher, and her friend pulled away first, gluing her eyes back to the screen for safety.

“No, no! It’s Yozora and Sena; they got a pair together!“ The tips of the blonde’s ears started to glow red. Meanwhile, her servant quickly fished out her phone from her pocket, tapping into it with rapid speed. “Wait, did Yozora not tell you about it in class?”

Why would I? A thought that the mentioned girl hadn’t bothered to consider, too focused on sending a discrete message off to her air-headed friend. So much for being covert, though, as Sena let out a quick exclamation as the phone in her lap began to buzz, the gamer instinctually setting her game on pause before placing her controller on the carpet, looking over the received message.

She punched in a handful of buttons back as Kodaka and Rika continued their banter. “No, she hasn’t,” the male replied, glancing up from his junior for a moment and over towards their leader. Yozora shot back a scowl, half wanting to check that her sleeves had covered the embarrassing artifact up, but knew that the movement of her eyes would’ve given it away. “Well, is it true? Did you bring it today?”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” A quick play -- one that caused Sena to hiccup on her typing. Pushing the initiative, Yozora set her elbow on the table, hand resting against her cheek, pretending to be nonchalant about it. “Things like those shouldn’t be brought to class, y’know. The teachers would just confiscate them.” 

“So you’re saying only Sena’s got the bracelet on?“ Rika was nitpicking, now. And between the girl’s astute observations (or informed debating), Yozora seemed to be running out of options to hide it. “So much for friendship. Wouldn’t you agree, senpai?“

Rika turned her head up towards Kodaka, who everyone knew was probably racking his brain in an attempt to play it diplomatically. “I mean, it’s true you shouldn’t be bringing it to class -- it’s against school rules to keep something like that on you that’s colourful and eye-catching. It’d be pretty obvious to spot in the middle of lessons if you had it donned on you.”

Yozora nodded vigorously. On her lap, her phone buzzed for a spell.

“But--“

“But it’d be pretty sad to leave an accessory in the name of friendship behind.“ Violet orbs went to check a tiny screen. “Isn’t that right, Yozora?”

The girl tilted her head sideways as she looked over in Sena’s direction, pushing herself back in her chair to catch a glimpse of her friend’s wrist. There it was, the tiniest bit of it peaking underneath a newly unraveled cuff. Yozora gulped. At least it wouldn’t bite at her skin and leave marks against it any more. That’s how layering it over her school shirt would’ve been, right?

“Yozora?“

“H-huh?!” Had she been called for? She shot back into her original position, minus the elbow-on-table, looking over at her club members with a look of feigned indifference. “Yeah! Of course-- what’s up?“

“You didn’t hear us, did you?“

“No, I-- definitely did.” Yozora was wrangling with her sleeve now, trying to pry her own accessory out. The candy-like colours revealed themselves slowly, though each yank of it forward hurt, and under the club members’ gaze did their translucency shine, catching the light of the rays flooding into the room through open windows. The beads went over on top of her blazer’s greens, and there it remained, Yozora heaving a sigh, her skin now spared from its wretched contempt.

“There,“ she held her wrist out, glancing away from Rika’s look of awe and Kodaka’s impressed expression. “Are you two happy now? It’s just some dumb bracelet, no big deal.“

“For a dumb bracelet,“ Sena retorted, finally looking up from her game with a frown mixed with a smile. “It looks good on you.“

Really? Yozora knew her friend was just happy to know she wasn’t alone in holding onto the item. But she shot back a questioning look at her added comment, before examining the accessory over her wrist once again. Its colours were pretty, with how they reflected the sun shimmering down upon it, but to say it matched well with their school’s uniform was one hell of a statement. Well, I for one don’t see it. “If you say so.”

“I know so,“ came a whisper loud enough for only the two of them to hear, before the two girls carried on with their day, only half listening into their club members’ conversation. Rika was busy fawning over the appearance of their friendship item, and complimented on how they were matching, and oh-- did you know? Some come in the form of lockets, and they even had the extra sense to match up physically once you put them together! Like the ones with the faces of the sun and moon, or those black and white cats she’s seen in advertisements...

Most of what followed were research statements from Sena (she went through all that work just for this thing?) and Rika trying to convince a half-hearted Kodaka into getting one for each other to represent their bond instead. Yozora barely followed, but she took an appreciation with having the accessory be idolized at all.

This way, it really did make her feel special. Even if the exchange was just between her and her club.

If only the bracelet went unnoticed by everyone else. Unfortunately for Yozora, meeting a few other people on the odd occasion around school meant that word would travel around fast.

It was Yukimura (club traitor #2) who’d revealed her knowledge of the accessory first and foremost, accompanied side by side with Yusa (club traitor #1). The dishonorable kin had pointed it out upon their crossing, as the dark knight and her mistress were making their way out towards home, just getting off time from club activities.

“Ah,“ she’d started, a stack of boxes in her hands. “You two. You’re not allowed to wear those on campus, you know.“

Had the warning been coming from Yusa, the two celestial girls would’ve shunned it off by now, teaching the red-head a lesson in futility. Instead, the hound was yipping by her master’s side, box trembling in her hands, chiding her friend about picking a fight with forces beyond their control (though in truth, their war had started ages ago; it was just better not to stir the pot whilst they were in school).

“We were only on our way home,” Yozora defended, knowing that while both of them had bones to pick with the challenger, she would be the primary actor coming in hot to defend her queen. “School hours are over and we’ve just come from after school activities. Surely this falls under the clause of a change in appearance during club.“

Yukimura clicked her tongue, glancing over to the mongrel for a second. It was to no one’s surprise that the two girls would want to keep moving, Sena butting in with an exit in response. “If you’ll excuse us.”

Well looks like I was on the right track, because I finally got the good ending. Here is how I got it, these are indubitably not the only answers you can use to get it, but they worked for me.

Okay so this is a mess, and I'm sorry for that. I have no time to organize this into something nicer (Unfortunately homework is calling me T-T). It was literally typed in notes on my laptop (Lmfao not even Microsoft word *gasp*). It was basically something I was going to use to keep track of the right answers. I feel like someone can at-least use this to make a more proper/organized walkthrough.

The answers are not fully typed out, but there’s enough for you to know which one it is. I placed the name or typed out the color of the heart by the answer so you know who you are getting a heart from

I tried to pick the answers that would get me hearts for all the RFA members, and of course V ( I think I got most of the right answers for him).

I flirted a bit with Saeran... because... do I really need to explain? you can get away with doing it a little so I’ve heard, but I wouldn't do it a bunch. 

Also careful the burgundy/ red violet hearts are Saeran/Rays, my dumbass did not know so, if I typed out red violet heart next to an answer that’s Saeran’s and um... you should probably not pick it.

Update: So I just found out from @alois-trancys-short-shorts that you actually shouldn’t be mean to Saeran, you can be supportive. To get the good and normal ending you need to rebuff him gently. So I'm assuming you need to not break his heart, which I think I do once, and then tried to fix it by getting another heart for him( because I felt bad). You probably shouldn’t break his heart at all.

Seven’s Reset AU - Chapter 1

She stood out of the street, a thick wooly scarf wrapped around her neck, giving her a little protection from the cold wind that whirled around the town.

She wasn’t the only one standing there.

There were perhaps hundreds of people gathered, all trying to be somewhat nosy and discover what had caused such a terrible accident to occur.

Her blue eyes gazed up at the tall building before her, well, it wasn't tall anymore.

The top of it had been blown off, glass scattered from every window as a ripple effect at ran down to the foundations of the building.

The building was once as high rise filled with over twenty floors and over hundred different apartments people would have called home.

The building now stood with less than thirteen floors.

The police, firemen and the crew from the ambulance had arrived on scene within the first ten minutes of the explosion.

The police had split up into two, the first half pushing the crowd back and collecting witness statements, while the second assisted the firemen and doctors - searching for any survivors or even charred remains.

For the last half an hour,  they seemed to have had no such look.

The blue eyes female pulled down her hood from over her head as the wind calmed. She moved away from the crowd, having not have seen the explosion she was of no use to the police as a witness.

She pulled out her phone and opened up a game she had been playing.

Unfortunately, it became corrupt and showed her a black background with green numbers and letters dancing up and down the screen, almost as if she was watching the matrix. She groaned remembering she wasn't far from completing the game and now she wouldn't know how it would end as the game was no longer available anywhere.

She put her phone away and grumbled to herself as she finally exited the crowd.

She took one final look back, only for her eyes not to see the building, but a heartbroken person standing in the crowd.

His appearance was not out of the ordinary but he had an aura of familiarity when she focused her blue eyes upon him.

He had flaming red hair and bee styled striped glasses, he wore an oversized black jacket with yellow rings on the shoulders and around the hem of the hood. Around his neck sat a pair of orange headphones.

His golden gaze seemed broken as he looked up at the torn building. He was panting.

Did he know someone who lived there?

Why did he look so familiar to her?

He turned his head to look away, his eyes only to met hers.

She quickly turned away and started walking down the street.

“Hey wait!” Even his voice seemed to have a familiar ring to it.

“I said wait!”

She stopped and spun herself around, only to find him a few steps in front of her.

“Do I… You… Do I know you?” He asked.

She shook her head, “No. I don't know who you are, Seven.”

She froze.

Seven. Seven? Who was Seven?

He was a character in a game.

Seven, the red headed hacker from her game. The one with the route that broke her heart, the one where was was so close to giving him a happy end before her game decided to crash and burn.

He tilted his head, “You called me Seven, you do know who I am… But how? Are you with the agency? Do you know the RFA?” He stared at her as if she was a puzzle he couldn't figure out.

“No… To both your questions. Seven isn't real… You just look like a character from a game I play.”

He nodded his head slowly and blinked a few times, trying to figure out if he believed her or not.

“I see… And this game… Does Seven get a happy ending?” He asked, there was a need in his voice, almost begging her to tell him that everything he had endured was worth the pain and worth the wait.

“I don't know, I hope he does after all the pain he went through. But unfortunately, I never got that far… My game capped out at the last minute and now I'll never know what actually happens.”

“Search for the spoilers online?” He suggested.

“I would, but I can't. It was a rare game and I came across it by chance… It isn't sold anywhere, not even in another language.” She frowned.

He sighed, “I see… But what do you think happens?”

She tilted her head and smiled, “I'd like to imagine, he got Saeran back and he got the girl.”

The red headed man stared at her, almost as if she had dug straight into his heart and revealed his most precious and hidden secret.

Of course, she didn't realise that she had.

“Saeran?” He repeated. “How do you…?”

She stared at him, slightly confused by his reaction, “They are characters in a game… They aren't real.”

His face dropped from sadness to almost anger in a matter of seconds, “Are you calling me a character? Are you saying I'm not real? That my feelings are invalid because of that very reason! That my brother should suffer pain because he's not real either!”

“N-NO! That's not what I'm saying! You're not a character! You're real but this story… These people in here aren't real…” She stepped back, watching his anger explode out of him, as she held up her phone to him. “It's just a game.”

“Life isn't a game to be toyed with! Especially his life, especially their lives.” He grabbed hold of her collar, as he hand dropped her phone.

She wrapped her hands around his wrists, as she held back her tears from the fear he had sent through her.

That's when everything changed.

He didn't let go of her, his hands held on as tight as they could to her violet coat. His eyes wide as he watched his skin change, followed by his clothes.

He seemed to pixilate. His eyes landing on hers, “What's happening?” His tone no longer anger but fear.

She shook her head, “I don't know… You're pixelating… But you're real… I don't understand.”

That's when something else changed.

Because his pixelated hand's still had hold of her, her fingers started to change.

She felt a soft tingle under her skin, almost like the feeling of pins and needles. It started to spread from her fingertips to her hands and then down her arms and into her body.

“S-Seven… What… Happening?”

Before she knew it he had vanished and the world around her had too. She was in a large white space, confused and disorientated.

She looked around, hoping for find something that could help her, a door even a window.

She could see someone in the distance, a young woman with long brown hair. She wore a brown jumper with a black skirt and boots.  She had pulled her hand away from the button she was pressing, its colour changed from green to red. A set of large oak double doors then not only appeared behind her, but opened for her with a soft creak.

The other female strolled over and entered, allowing the doors to close behind her.

The blue eyes female swam through the air, making her way to the bottom the other female had pressed.

‘Reset’

The blue eyed girl turned her head to see the doors, “Reset… Doors… What's going on here?” She didn't speak but lipped the words as she spoke to herself.

She suddenly felt a cold draft up her coat and along her legs. The doors had not opened, so the new air was not from there.

Instead, a grey hole appeared below her, it looked to be another world of nothingness, but his time it was filled with nothing but darkness instead of light.

She was sucked in. Her body falling down, whilst her hands reached out in an attempt to grab the door or anything that could stop her fall.

She screamed out for help, only for her voice to have been silenced by the white void.

She fell and hit and the ground with a sudden thud. The lady had landed on a soft carpeted floor, her fingers digging into the fibres of the floor and her face rested against it, she cried silently and happily, thanking the ground for not killing her.

“You.”  A male's voice rang out.

She sat up on the floor, looking about and then in the direction of the voice.

There stood the red headed man from earlier, dressed in the same clothes as before but in his hands he held a gun, pointing it at her, “What's going on?! Who are you?” He asked frantically.

The female raised her arms and remained still, “I'm Marie, I don't know what's going on, I know as much as you do, please put the gun away unless you like the idea of cleaning blood up off of your carpet and hiding a body.”

He sighed, putting the gun down to his side.

“The building is back… It's standing… And… There has been no signs of any explosion or death or anything… I'm so confused.” He muttered to her. He placed the gun down on the coffee table she didn't realise was behind her before helping her up onto her feet.

“It's almost as if someone has reset the world back… But if that's the case… Where is she? Why isn't she in the building still?” He continued.

“Reset…” She mumbled, remembering the white plain.

He left her side and headed into a room just ahead of her. It had glass for walls and a light on inside with a set of six monitors propped up on the wall with a desk beneath them with two keyboards and a mouse. Under the desk she could see a set of lights and scattered paperwork.

“What the..” She heard his voice from inside the room. She made her way over, careful not to tread in chips into the carpet.

He had sat himself down at his desk, playing on his phone.

“Now she's there… She's acting like she doesn't know us… And they are too… What's going on?”

“She pressed reset… She started again… This is a game for her…” The female muttered.

“What?” He looked up from his phone, “I don't understand.”

“That game I played was like this… After you get an ending you start again. That's what she's done… Only… You're 707. The reset doesn't affect you like everyone else… She's… 606, the reset itself. Seven… You… This is a game to her… And we… Are part of it now.”

Seven sat back in his chair, his phone tossed onto his desk as he ran his fingers through his red locks, “Then… What am I to do?”

“You have to continue like you did before… Contact V and tell him someone has joined the chat… Pretend you don't know her yet… That's all I can think of.”

“How long with this last?” He asked, his eyes closed as he faced the ground, his elbows on his knees as he frowned.

“Honestly… I don't know… She could stop at any given point or she could do it multiple times.”

“So what? I'm meant to fall in love with her every time only to see her happy with someone else… Or get the bad end?” He stood from his chair, glaring at the female at the other end of the room.

“Unfortunately, that is what will happen… It broke my heart to play the game like that... But… That's what happened… For me anyway.”

“You've played this… You said your were about to get the happy end right? You were nearly finished when the game stopped working!” Seven ran over to her, his hands on her shoulders and he shook her, “So I have an ending? I can be happy? I can get him back… Wait no… I don't need her to get him back, you know the game as well… You can help me find him!”

She stared at him, “I guess, yes… But she's your 606.”

“No… She can be with Jumin or Zen for all I care… She can reset as many times as she likes… But as long as I have you… I don't want her.”

And that's when she knew, she had fucked up the game.
