The fact ive been seeing people in the dungeon meshi fandom not understanding the life cycles and how that impacts ages of maturity among the various races, and using that as a means to attack or insult other fans is quiet disheartening.

Because they have been shown in the anime recently ive seen this alot with characters such as inutade and leed and more so when izutsumi appears. i cant be to upset because as much as i enjoy kui and her work, alot of major facts arnt in the story itself and are in the daydream hours and seperate content.

But people arnt realizing that the different races arnt like the real world, they dont grow at the same age and rate and have different life spans because of it and so people are getting aggressive towards others over character ages when in reality they dont know how it really is.

Leed is one i want to talk about, orcs only live around 55 years. And they clearly grow at a much faster rate than races such as elves or gnomes. Leed is 14 years old, but at that point she is a fully grown orc woman. Yes she has only just become one but in orc society she is an adult, we see this when she thinks she is going to be wed off to laios later in the story when he becomes king. If she wasnt fully grown then i do not believe kui would have shown that scene. But because of orc aging she is in fact a grown woman.

My other example being inutade, once more we see another race with a shorter lifespan who clearly age at a faster rate than elves or gnomes. Inutade being 16 actually puts her past what oni age of maturity is because they mature at 15. Tade is a fully grown oni woman. And if we look at daydream hour 88 we see this art of her. Whether you view it in a sexual light or not is up to interpretation and it could go either way. But because of the type of person kui is, i dont believe she would have drawn tade like this if she viewed her as underage.

I have more photos of the race bios to show them off but what im saying is that there needs to be an understanding that because these fantasy races have varrying life spans, the ones who live shorter lives would make sense to mature in less time than the other ones. I want people to understand this because ive been seeing people saying truly despicable and mean things about other people and it breaks my heart to see.

Ive seen some people say that maturity ages are what they are becaus the shorter lived races die becaues it is like medieval times and so people died younger, but with magic healers and spells that really isnt something i think can be pointed to for why certain ages die at certain times.

Ive seen alot of posts recently about rhys cassian and azriel being into bigger women or plus size women and ngl I just don’t get it or see it. Those men train like hell all about fitness and discipline, have 8packs and killer muscles and the woman they are paired with are just as fit and train just as much and it mentions multiple of times in the books they find their bodies attractive. So I just personally don’t see that they would have any interest in a bigger girl who isn’t into those things, can’t see them finding that attractive

I…sorry, but I can’t even begin to express the amount of ignorant and wrong things about this. It seems like this is coming from a place of prejudice more than a genuine opinion. I could pick this apart and give you a comprehensive list of why this isn’t a great take, but I don’t have the time right now, so just a few points:

1. Plus size does not automatically mean “lazy and unfit”. Who’s to say that if they had a plus size mate, they wouldn’t enjoy joining them for training just as much?

2. The characters they’re mated to are all of a similar body type simply because there’s a severe lack of body diversity in the ACOTAR books. This is annoying and, in my opinion, wrong, but we at least have the freedom as a fandom to create fics where that is not the case.

3. Everyone has different types and things that appeal to them. Your body being a certain way doesn’t mean you desire an identical body type in your partner. Not to mention that looks are only at the surface level of a person and nowhere near as important when it comes to the heart, but to suggest that someone wouldn’t find a plus-size person attractive because they themselves train rigorously and maintain their body in a way that’s necessary for the work they do is just…not it. We’re talking about males that have lived for centuries — do we really expect them to have only been interested in a certain body type that entire time?

I normally wouldn’t get so defensive over a fictional scenario, but this is actually quite a harmful take, whether you mean for it to be or not. It’s also important to note that all bodies are different and there are a whole litany of reasons as to why somebody might be bigger. It doesn’t automatically mean they lead an unhealthy lifestyle. I used to be a lot smaller before I had the medical condition I do, and that paired with the medication I have no choice but to take, I gained some weight. I happen to really like how my body is now, but some people might not feel the same about theirs and read an opinion like this and come away feeling less worthy. It’s just worth broadening your understanding.

Anyway all in all, I think the bat boys would fucking looove a plus-size girlie and worship every inch of her glorious body. Happy Sunday! 💕

so me (NB, 15) and my (sort of) friend (M, 14), we'll call him D, have been friends for almost 4 years now, and he struggles with alot of disorders and drug habits. he completely insists on getting worse, constantly threatening to not eat for days at a time, swallow all his meds and overdose, etc etc

things have been really hard for him recently for reasons i cant tell, but its been causing him to feel worse and tempting to him to relapse.

his cousin gave him an ounce of coke yesterday, as he thought it would "help". i know he has more stashed away and he started smoking again too. as i said, D is 14, and watching him do stuff like this and refusing to get help really upsets me.

i have his parents number, ive been considering telling them about this so they can try to get him some extra help, but im not sure if itll help or if he would just get in trouble. hes been lying to his therapist and his parents and part of me is tempted to tell them the truth.

so, WIBTA for snitching on my friend to his mom? i really want him to get help, real help, not just venting to me over a discord chat. and this is the only thing i think i can do for him.

Hello, I'm Eden. (They/them) I'm 22 years old and been playing L4D2 since it came out for xbox 360 in 2009 (I was 8 - going on 9). I started shipping Nellis when I was about 11. It was in fact my first ship ever.

I decided to make this lil thing because i've seen some interest in my recent post with my Nellis!cats :P.

In 2013, I hated my human art so I decided to design and make as cats so I could draw them easier. I use to use drawcast on my ipod touch.

I would finally get a more stable style and made more of my fav ship.

Later on that year, my mom gave me her old laptop and I got heavily into animation memes and computer digital art.

Ive been thinking alot about like... personal pokeverse interpretations and canon compliance recently. being both really into character analysis AND spending maybe a little too much time thinking about my own personal pokeverse Ive noticed its like... a really Strange position to be in? like. where is the line between adding flavor to a character and mischaracterizing them? where is the line between rewriting a plot and just straight up writing a completely different story? DOES IT MATTER? DOES ANYONE OTHER THAN ME CARE?

that post about tiktok queers has gotten me thinking about all that ive seen so far on tiktok (ramble)

Tiktok spaces are just.. so bad in general. Theres alot of gems but other than that they kind of suck. Theres so many "i'm better than you" mindsets on arttok, not to mention all of the fatphobia when anybody humanizes character and makes them chubby or fat. Therians cant even catch a break because they're always being called fake by other therians, or just bullied by random people. Furries always have some form of drama going on, recently its been paperfurs despite the fact normal suits can mold too.

about the only community ive seen on tiktok thats been tame are the smaller ones, like roblox myths. Alot of people are making their own roblox myths and most of them are out of the same couple of animation games, and i find it so neat that they can make different lore out of the same animations. (itd be nice to see some self-made things though, but alot of the creators cant access roblox studio due to being on mobile i'm assuming)

i havent been on gacha life related tiktok but its probably filled to the brim with "wtf" or "cringe" comments

I havent personally had any bad experiences yet, but with all of this, its pretty inevitable. Tiktok is both bad and good. But i'd say theres more bad than good. You know everythings gonna go to shit when a bunch of teens and kids are grouped on an app

I feel the need to speak up about something that has been happening alot these past few days.

Alot of my mutuals have been getting anon hate recently, and it makes me very angry i can't do anything to stop it, and even if im not the one receiving it, i still feel sad and worried about it.

Like, why are you hating on people that did nothing wrong? Its so frustating and it stresses the hell out of me, and i know that at some point i'll get it too, and it annoys me just by thinking about it.

Please don't send hate like that, it's just so frustating to receive something like that on your inbox, have some enpathy and put yourself in the place of the person receiving it, you wouldn't like people doing that to you.

Saying that because ive been seeing very extreme cases to the point the person deletes their blog because of it.

It makes me angry the fact that they are such cowards to the point they need an anonymous mask to keep their identity safe, so no one knows its them like?? Don't be such a pussy about that.

one thing i rlly like thinking about way too hard is body types in character design and how they influence how someone would look/act in a certain environment. i am def better at thinking abt it than drawing it but i like to think it reflects a bit 👍 (i am also a very very surface level mma fan also so there is also that. its cool how certain fighting arts will compliment certain body types more e.g. every karate practitioner in existence having long ass limbs)

it's also fun to think up headcanons about. ive always had this thing in my head about grian acting so unhinged/manipulative in 3L and so forth due to him being so much smaller and frailer than everyone else and thus having to be more crafty and cutthroat to survive.

ofc none of this is super relevant in an anime context where suspension of disbelief means tiny stick-thin girls can knock out dudes three times their size with one punch on a weekly basis (and i def have a soft-spot for stuff like that as well) but i like having physicality be a bit more relevant.

I was supposed to type this out yesterday but again, my snake prioritized Tumblr at the time, so I'm taking this time to say it now, again, I think this is the third time now.

Alot of you get really sexual really fast in my Asks, something ive stated im not comfortable with at all, and this has been going on since i posted michael that first time.

After banning Michael it got alot better, Less people came into my asks saying lewd things and making lewd requests, which im very thankful for.

Recently I posted an infodump about the Nightmares including some pictures and now i have a very similar issue happening with nightmare Bonnie, getting lewd requests, people making statements about him, general stuff im not used to or comfortable with.

one of these asks wasn't anonymous and was sent in by a 15 year old, I will not be saying names mostly because this was yesterday and ive forgotten names, and ive soft blocked this person.

If this kind of thing continues im gonna turn off anon entirely, which really sucks because i understand people are shy when it comes to talking to artists, ive been there, And i'd feel really bad ruining that opportunity for those people.

And if it continues after that, I'm just gonna close requests entirely.

but i wont let it discourage me! ive got a lot to say about the art i made even though its messy sketches on mspain(t) XD

i had been feeling burnt out and decided to draw comfort characters ( some that ive not drawn in a long time or have acknowledged but never drew before) and the carebears is a franchise thats been with me for so long i made a whole painting for class about it!

i made a list and with utter shock i realized that i basically bacame my owm worts enemy! the list grew so much (and is still growing :')) and i only drew a few characters so far

i know ill render these soon but the others will take a while

(but im really concerned about how im gonna tag this without being obnoxious 🥲)

i have like alot to say about these characters i drew because they mean so much to me and i never really could delve into them at school.

theres more i want to say and its under the cut! :D

so this is gonna get a lil personal but hopefully not too much to the point its boring ,:)

the first character i want to talk about is Ursula. i remember when i was younger being increadibly infatuated with her. i would draw her whenever i could. on chalkboards, the wall, i made paper cut-out of her and digitally drew her on ms paint! she was the first character that a had a desire to be close to in a way. a character albeit evil felt comforting and till this day make me tear up from how beautiful her design is! Ursula was the first female character i felt a strong aesthetic attraction to. (im just kinda a sucker for powerful women)

so i made sure to stay true to her design by keeping her body type and tentacles. basically just switching her hands and head to the carebears design (im still deciding whether or not to keep her hair)

second has to be Rosalina. she really made me accept and realize that i did have an attraction to the same sex ':) i loved playing as her in smash bros, listening/watching her story in galaxy. i never really 'got' the whole thing but reflecting and growing as a person did make me realize that not just fictional men look great but women too!

her design is based on the carebear cousins because the main thing was the mane! you dont really see a bear with a long loc covering its eye so having her different from the others i think gives good variety

third King Candy. oka y i recently feel back inlove with him! mostly because of @/ blackthewolf17's drawings of him!! and that made me rewatch the movie and wow! i remember liking his character a while back but i never really appreciated his as a villain! watching the movie and seeing the art made me remember the discussions i had with my fam about liking him and them not really understanding. (its kinda a running theme with a lot of the characters i like)

i wanted the characters the pop out and look recognizable. i kept the crown and collar. his belly badge is a paper covering his original badge! this one shows the crown and a few bits of candy. (leaning into the fact that he doesnt belong)

next is NME SalesGuy for Four. (such a clever name) this dude is literally a character that i was shocked by his stature! i mean what did i expect? falling for a dude that exudes tall energy but is literally a short king! this dude was there during some cool family times while watching right back at ya!

while looking for references, i found i cb comic and i loved how their legs looked. it wasnt bent like the originals on the cards and i thought they looked really goofy! so i went with that with the design becasue he just doesnt really fit with everyone elses stlye

fifth Rick Sanchez. man, this old man. has been with me through a lot. i saw a poster if the show before it premiered and two years after, i watched it and ive obsessed over him so much i made people watch Rick and Morty so i could talk with them about it. R&M really got me back onto tumblr because it was my entire personality since the show was at its peak and after. (old men tsk tsk) i made OCs Self inserts and played the mobile game. i literally memorized episodes to recite as i went to sleep. and analyzed frames of my fave episode to get better at animation!

i gave Rick clothes because i wanted him to have some flair. iconic elements of him is his tousled hair, coat and alcohol. (hes drinking 'happy juice')

Sixth is Coach Brunt. a girlboss of a villain! she took care of and orphan and made her feel like she was her own! shes determined, strong, fierce, fit, has a great voice, money, and kind. what more could a girl ask for?? this was another character that i had seen while watching CS with the fam. (still havent completed it tho)

i did break the rule and give her a tuft of hair also ':/ but i like her BB i gave her.

Seventh is Johan liebert. i really loved this dude. the series just made me think more about human nature and nurture. i met some cool people becasue of this dude. Johan in a way made me cope with the problems that happened in my life. he really was the character that i also found out i was ace+aro. i just loved drawing him. filling pages of my sketchbook and centering english papers based around him and the lessons i learned from seeing the bad in his character and how people might turnout to be similar and how it can be a problem. (idk if it made sense, but i learned to appreciate humanity more and not be so headstrong and become blinded by my views. but also learning that its good for people to know whats coming for the people that wronged you)

Johans BB is painted on white, so you wouldnt be able to see what he is all about :)

theres is so much already but eighth is Senpai. this Fker is my worst enemy, just like all the characters i drew soo much of this guy that i thought i was gonna go crazy, there was a pang in my chest when the drawings looked like trash. he was the character that made me want to get better at art and engage more with people. i made a fnf OC to be this dudes father. (it was some of the most wholesome thing i ever drew)

Senpai has a more basic design. he also has his identifying elements like the backpack and mic

ninth is Saul. my bbg. it started with the character but sadlt turned into a full obsession over Bob Odenkirk and finding all of his shows and movies that he directed of acted in. thankfully im not deep into it anymore. but when i regularly used instagram, you could see the decent into madness for him. i made animations and really detailed fanart. if Sen got me to draw my fave better, Bob made me attempt to perfect it.

his design sadly is my weakest. i wanted to add some fake hair on him. but im sure you can see that i got lazy. a few weeks ago i made versions of the BRBA&BCS cast as Geronimo Stilton characters and (sad excusee) but i didnt want to put more into the design because i became drained from looking at the growing list D;<

his BB is based on themis :)

tenth is Big Jack Horner. i love this man. i ironically said "he was the hottest character in the movie" on my third watch and man i actually believed it on the way out of the theatre. i wanted to see if anyone liked him like i did and to my surprise people did! this dude has such a great bod, voice, attitude and like many of the characters i like i ask, "is there any proof of death? i dont think so".

i havent drawn him in months and i dont like that i havents so he was the first bear i drew. his BB is a pie but i think ill add his insignia or have him draw on it like Oopsie bear to fit his situation.

like maybe something silly like a frowning face on his BB

im going to put eleven and twelve together because both play a similar role. my two men of science. ive only recently started to like Medic and Scudworth. these two bring such a great jot to me just like all to kooky men i like as well.

sadly, they both look the same, the only thing differentiating them is the glasses. i love their voices and design.

i ahve yet to give Scudsy his own BB tho.

last thing i want to say is why i chose carebears as the main style.

the franchise has been with me since i can even remember or at least before i could comprehend what it was. i remember seeining either oopsie or good luck bear plush at a carnival and i really wanted it but it was closing and i mean it was probably bigger than me so i couldnt get it and it became an obsession of mine! i loved green and a already had a few at home whats one more? so i tried to drop hints at my mom. well as good as a 5-7 yr old could do with drawings.

theres a lot more to say but i might go one for so long it wont fit here!

this was very long and if you read it thank you very much! im glad i got to comfortably speak my mind (well write it) in my own way that did have structure but felt more personal and less embarrassing that my english teacher asking me to write something about myself and my life. or my Art teacher saying i have the freedom to create something but then talk about it with in a time span because im not the only one that has something good to say about their art.

im not sure if all of it was understandable and might've been really unnecessary but im glad either way.
