"Fuck your online discourse" actually, no, we do think the halloween DID flag shouldn't be used but it's not because of some bullshit like "waah it's just a recolor" it's because the system that created that flag is a huge fucking racist and ableist last we checked, and we never saw ant kind of apology for being racist and ableist to endogenic systems. We never saw them stop being anti-endogenic or anti-Black (because let's be honest, Black endogenic systems specifically would be the ones most affected and hurt by this).
Like, we know people have forgotten by now, but we were THERE just before TPA became a thing, when systems like The Entropy System were fully mask-off in their bigotry (we call anti-endogenics facsists because of the personal experience of having the not-pleasure of seeing shit like the above link lmao), and such other things. We used to be very visible on Twitter as an endogenic system who's seen this shit but it was kind of taking over 99% of our focus when we were working retail instead of working at home, so we ended up tapering it away.

God I want to commit human rights violations on all of the doctors that told us that prescribing focalin would make our "anxiety" worse.
I was just sobbing over the fact that when I decided that we needed to take our shower, I could just get up and do it.

Okay, do y'all even KNOW how fuckn' little there is of Terrain of Magical Expertise (TOME) stuff? Like we only watched the youtube video series and like, had zero clues there was even an actual literal RPG for this. And we also keep FORGETTING the RPG exists. Girl help we're stuck in 2020 but the fictional 2020 that is also like, 2013.
Also, watching it originally in 2020 after a literal decade of avoiding it for...whatever reason, had us feeling weirdly sardonic LOL.
Anywayssss we couldn't find jack shit for Alpha last time we check Tumblr -- *sobs in fictives who have extremely niche sources up the wazoo* -- so we did our own transparents in case we or other people who do edits need them. Q~Q
More specifically his Season One and Demon forms we say as we check another two boxes in the "signs of plurality list called "disappointed the virus and alpha didnt learn to coexist as like an adaptive system," and "being SAD AS FUCK that Kirbopher and Zetto were not also like, an endogenic plural system like us god FUCKING damnit," and we'll probably do Kirbopher next and then Flamegirl and Nylocke we guess
Because we're definitely NOT biased and NOT highly interested in those characters in particular ahaha.
Please know there are at least five of us who feel VERY awkward right now but also kinda want/need these. And also usually only talk via secondary influence. Because of how awkward this is.
Also the fandom on tumblr here iwrc is so small there is a non-zero chance we'll get our ass blocked by Distant/Drifted Away Childhood Friend and probably most of the fandom if they aren't chill like at all about systems and are still on here. But it's worth the transparent because like...no resources for pride icon and fandom icon editors. Including ourselves. :')

Hmmm. Also, we said it just now on discord but:
We say "coding" in the screenshot because
Guren is the only one referred to as 'having multiple personalities' in the anime, and of note — we could be incorrect, but we THINK from what we saw he is also the only one who seems to have a more equitable relationship with his headmate? He is also the only one who seems to remain without weird mutations.
Iwrc his demon was actually ORIGINALLY a human which is...kinda fucked up considering the other thing about the demon also being his ex-girlfriend but LOL that is the least fucked up thing here in this emtire series so far
This is despite the fact Yuchiro gets pretty damned close by the end of the series to having similar.
It's fine you can just say Yuchiro also have "multiple personalities" because of his literal demon we're giving this a pass because the series was made in 2015 based on the wikipedia page, and if we know how minority coding works this could easily have been the *only* way to pass off Yuchiro as a system is to Fucking Make him extremely similar to Guren but Less Shitty We know it's barely acceptable even in fuckin 2024, so we can hardly be mad atm
Gonna link to the whole thread for anyone missing the context!
I'm not familiar with Seraph of the End, but I absolutely love the detailed analysis of the plurality! Thanks for sharing! 👍

thoughts on a singlet(?) whose emotions/emotional states have distinct genders & vaguely-kinda-mostly chose human names for themselves?
these names/genders are consistent and distinct, and may have several of them ‘covering’ different aspects of the same emotion, or may have one covering different (but related) emotions. they’re not truly autonomous, don’t talk/communicate with me, aren’t present all (or even most) of the time, and don’t do things that surprise me. the most unexpected they get is when they suddenly change and my gender shifts suddenly & i’m comfy/prefer a different name
- 🌊 (in case i ever figure it out and update y’all, lol)
Hm, well, first thoughts are that plurality and singlecy are both spectrums, ones that don't exactly have a clearly defined boundary, and it sounds like you are somewhere in that grey area.
You may find the term parasian helpful - a term that refers to median systems who are towards the singlet end of the plural spectrum.
You may look into servitors, something I believe even singlets can commonly have, iwrc.
You may also want to examine the diagnosis of Maladaptive Daydreaming Disorder and corresponding nondisordered neurodivergence of Immersive Daydreaming to see if these may actually be paras, as our understanding is that paras tend to not have the autonomy that headmates do, with the exceptions of paratives/paragenic systems.
It is also possible that you could be a singlet experiencing something akin to IFS naturally, have a desire to use multiple names due to gender or alterhuman reasons - and may even experience your emotions as compartmentalized in this way for alterhuman reasons as well. (Alterhuman encompasses plurality as well, but is a wider umbrella label, and you may fall elsewhere under it.)
The label pluralflux may also be somewhat meaningful.
Plural nonsystem especially stands out to us from your description, as it can include non-autonomous parts or even states - the wiki entry specifically says states as in BPD, but my experience with BPD even outside of plurality sounds like it may simply be the disordered version of what you may experience in a nondisordered way (or possibly disordered as well, I can't tell from the ask).
Some further thoughts that may be helpful: You could easily label yourself plural or singlet according to what is the most helpful framework for conceptualizing your own consciousness(es).
Do you have any desire to be plural? Would you (a) like these parts of you to be more separate, have more autonomy, and be responsive? Would you (b) prefer they be more integrated with less autonomy? Are you (c) perfectly happy existing as you are now?
If the answer is a, you may want to look into tulpa/willogenic creation guides. If b, IFS may still help, as might looking into fusion. If c, you're golden, just try to balance your desire for a label with the time it takes to find one that settles comfortably on you.
Remember that labels are just to help us best understand ourselves. There's no getting it wrong. If a label fits or seems to fit for a time and then is no longer useful, it still helped us for that period, and we can Marie Kondo it and thank it for its service to us before discarding it. Going into a label knowing it may not be permanent - like a relationship, that it may be a fling or lifelong, can be helpful in being gentle and patient with ourselves as we figure it out.
You are welcome to ask further questions about any of this, and if you do settle on a label (or lack thereof), we'd always be happy to hear about it! We hope any of this may be helpful and wish you besf of luck in figuring it out. ^^

So your last commissioned art features a storage medium that increases in volume when more data is storaged (pun on bloatware iwrc), would that be incredibly silly in a desktop tower?
Just "ah fuck need to clean out the soft drive so the pc doesn't overheat from it blocking the fans."

Hey, completely random, but we have been seeing you on our dash lately and we found this (https://transmascrage.tumblr.com/post/693475238871285760/oof-thats-though-i-think-cis-women-or-cis-men).
We wanted to say as an endogenic system (who is fictive-heavy, and whose plurality complicates gender A Lot) is that our experience with any dysphoria (gender, fictve/introject, etc) seems to be that body dysphoria as you referred to it as is more about internal perception while what people traditionally refer to as dysphoria (gender dysphoria in this case iwrc) is more about others' perceptions?? That's not quite right but that seems to be the closest we can get. Our headmate The Aria sees herself as trans (nonbinary) but is alright with the use of "ma'am" and "sir" and doesn’t care either way, but because we look like what people would say is a woman, we usually get called "ma'am" by others, while Floyd (who sees himself as a trans man) absolutely loathes it.
Our way of compromising this is that we want to cut our hair short enough we could feasibly pass as a tomboy/GNC/whatever works, and maybe get a binder, but we probably cannot, and will not, ever get 300+ people in the same brain to agree on anything more permanent.
Additionally, we have had people who couldn't at first look into our home's mirrors, because their body didn't match up; it wasn't entirely a gender thing though, sometimes it'd be as simple as "my eye color doesn't match my previous universe" and sometimes as drastically as "I used to be an atlantean-style mermaid ffs, let me get used to these legs lol" or even "gee, I wish I could use these superpowers I had from my source or initial universe, it's so weird I can't do anything about that" and while we are all on the same page about being in a human body that can't do as much as before, we feel like that may add some context to why we feel the way we do (re: dysphoria).
TL:DR — so, like, we have headmates who consider themselves cis because of plural headspace stuff, but by all other social standards because it's So Weird, they would be defined as trans if we were to medically transition to the other binary.
We're hoping this makes sense. It's like 9AM or 10AM for us, and it got a bit rambly in our bastardizec attempts to explain ourselves.
Yeah, that makes sense! Personally, I'm a singlet, so this concept is mostly new to me and not something that affects me, but yeah, gender dysphoria is complicated for one person, can't imagine for a bunch of them!

Hey!
We saw that ask and how you responded. Now, we have no idea what the heck is actually going on, but, in all seriousness, we want to say that we do think a bit differently re: origins and disorder status — DID itself is almost/always traumagenic but in our experiences in opinions, that says not very much about the systems actual origins.
We know at least one endogenic system that is diagnosed with DID (surprise!! It's not us!!) but they have also requested they are not tagged in this kind of syscourse because the mass social gaslighting within their supposed safe spaces is incredibly triggering to them, iwrc.
Anyways. Sorry. It's after midnight here and we should probably be asleep, but it upsets us because it feels like people are going straight back to square one with the fucking traumagenic/endogenic binary. Disordered/non-disordered was and is still supposed to get away from that kind of sysmedicalism.
So like, yeah?? We're upset but it's not at you. It's just us being upset in general and we're sorry if it leaks through this post a little bit. That's not our intention but, again, lack of sleep. ;×;
I actually don;t know what is going on either, so huh, no worries xp
But no! I;m not saying that DID = traumagenic etc, and that disorder and origin is something that should be on one axis, NO, that;s not true! That is my bad wording because I go for "Technically" but not Factually.
I am endogenic-traumagenic and I don;t have DID or even OSDD, I knew some endos who have had DID, even though I just lurked and learned others experiences. This is not a two interchangeable labels and I believe they should not be ones!

Hi Sophie! We hope you are doing well!
You mentioned recently the fact that many DID patients spend years in psychiatric treatment before getting an accurate diagnosis. I was wondering if you knew or readily had available more detail on that.
Iwrc the average time to get diagnosed is something like 7 years (and please correct/confirm me on that if you have that data). What we're curious about, and hope you might know, is when the "clock starts" for that statistic.
For instance, we started seeing a psychiatrist in ~2013 for trans related issues. Then when we had a breakdown in 2016 we saw another psychiatrist and began therapy. But only in 2022 did we start seeing our current therapist (following our syscovery the previous year), who Dx'd us with OSDD-1 after a year, and then later changed it to DID last month. And each of these periods had breaks in treatment except for the current one.
So our question would be when the clock would have started? In 2013 since that was our first experience with psychiatry? 2016 because that's when the related symptoms started getting treatment? Or 2021/2022 because that's when we were pursuing this specific diagnosis? Also I suppose it might be worth asking if the clock stopped with our OSDD-1 diagnosis or our DID one, but i figure the DID one because DID is likely the Dx that this data would be about.
If you don't have this info, that's totes fine! We're mostly just curious what's meant by a diagnosis taking in average X number of years, as it can paint very different pictures (e.g. did we have a miraculously fast diagnosis, or did we get the high end on the wait time).
-Faye
I can't say for certain. Despite the frequency this comes up, it's kind of hard to find info about it.
When I got this, I was sure it would be a simple thing to track down the information. There were a ton of websites that referenced this. But hardly any provided sources. And many sources I found ended up being paywalled.
One led to this paper:
Tumblr media
With this citation...

Tumblr media
I found this paper next!
Tumblr media
The first source led here.
Tumblr media
That 1986 study seems firmly locked behind paywalls though. And I haven't been able to find the Rivera one yet.
It's worth noting that all of these studies are old, and these very well may not even be applicable in the modern era.
My best guess is that the clock would probably start ticking as soon as you saw your first psychiatrist in 2013. But I can't say for sure with absolute certainty. I don't even know if all these studies would have used the same standards.
In fact, the wording of some of these, that patients spent this many years "in treatment" before getting correctly diagnosed, may imply that it's counting active years of treatment. So yeah, I don't know. 🤷‍♀️
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
