My art blog is sorta dead in the water and in any case idk whether to post this in art or book so question: does this look okay? If you’ve read the storm runner by jc Cervantes then input on some characters in appreciated but I mostly want to know whether everything looks normal.

Even if it looks weird just lie to me please I worked hard

I knew this would be heartbreaking, but while reading and sobbing, I also found a beautiful hopefulness in this story that I will not forget.
Ruby and Hart. They have their whole lives ahead of them, and they are lucky enough to have found each other and their impossible love so early in life. When Hart drowns while saving another, an angel takes pity and saves his soul for a new body. Hart winds up waking as Jameson. Jameson is everything Hart is not. A party boy who seems to not care about anything except football. Can Hart work his way back to Ruby in Jameson's body, with Jameson's history?
This book was heartbreaking and uplifting all at once. It is a story of loss and sadness, but also, real true love. Get the tissues ready now!!
Out June 6, 2023!
Thank you, Netgalley and Publisher, for this Arc!

Ok, people of Tumblr, I dunno how to use this hell site, but welcome to my corner of the internet and I'm going to tell you how I feel about the book I just read!
Tumblr media
See this book? THIS BOOK LEFT ME SO STUNNED BY THE END I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PROCESS. I don't read a lot of books but something about this one felt special to me. Perhaps because it has that beach feel and the cover suggests it tells a story of grief (WHICH IT ABSOLUTELY DOES)
I want to find a fandom for this book so bad even though I know this isn't the kind of book that nessiarily needs one.
Please, Internet!! Make more people talk about this book so I can process all these gosh darn squishy emotions!!!
OR I WILL!!!

Most Anticipated June 2023 Releases
I waded through over a whopping 200 new releases for June to find the top picks I’m interested in. This list is dominated by mystery/thrillers and romance. There’s definitely three titles I’m looking to add to my shopping list… the rest I’m still undecided about. I wonder what will tip my opinion either way? The Only One Left – Riley Sager (Thriller/Mystery) At seventeen, Lenora HopeHung her…

nine people to get to know better
I got tagged by @coffee-at-annies (hi miss you--happy to see you are enjoying baseball)
last song: I fall asleep to classical music and the last one I can most distinctly remember is this one
currently watching: Law and Order SVU. I am not really into TV at the moment since I last finished Stranger Things a few weeks ago. I need to decompress between TV shows. So when I feel like having background noise I put on SVU. As for movies, I go every Tuesday to watch one. Saw The Flash this past week and I was surprised that I liked it.
currently reading: Oh so much. I just finished my pride month theme with the book "Highly Illogical Behavior" by John Corey Whaley last night. It was okay, not memorable but interesting to have an agoraphobic as the MC, but the plot was too rushed for me. The nonfiction book I am reading now is "The Wager" by Davin Grann and I am learning a lot about sea life on a ship in the early days. For sci-fi/fantasy I am reading Fairy Tale by Stephen King and I am loving it. Both of those books are long though and I can only digest a few chapters every day so I always have another shorter book to read in a few days. Kindred by Octavia Butler or The Enchanted Hacienda by J.C. Cervantes is next.
current obsession: My reading challenges. I read a lot and participate in a lot of reading challenges. I am very obsessive about filling in prompts and finding books I would like to read it.
Aside from that new Spiderman movie which is one of my favorite movies ever. I love looking at the fan art. And figuring out how to travel to europe for cheap
Okay, tagging is a little hard because Anne and I share a lot of the same Tumblr mutuals who I most interact with. So @shweetjana @seattlepetal-blog @freya-deathstalker @blueayame and I am stopping there cause i can't think anymore but of course no one feel obliged.
