HAOKAI A JINAH. [La carta se encuentra dentro de un sobre blanco, como una carta formal, pero la estampa tiene la caricatura de un oso con un brote verde sobre la cabeza. Como los dormitorios no tienen un buzón muy ordenado, la deposita directamente por debajo de la puerta de Jinah. Tiene escrito su nombre, y en color rojo, las palabras top secret. Es un intento de bajarle el perfil, y hacerlo un poco gracioso, porque no es una carta de amor. De hecho, solo el sobre tiene esas pizcas divertidas, pero eso es algo de lo que Jinah se daría cuenta una vez lea el contenido. El mismo se encuentra escrito de su puño y letra, una letra ordenada y bonita, en tinta azul.]

[La carta se encuentra disfrazada en un sobre rosado con stickers de caricaturas de gatos dándose un besito, estrellas, corazones, y piedras de plástico, que asemejan a ese de un fan-mail. La persona a la que va dirigida es claramente Myeong, pero el remitente es una vagueza. La referencia a un gato con honoríficos cariñosos... en femenino. Nadie que no los conociera íntimamente y lo que comparten sospecharía que vendría de él, mucho menos que no se trata de una mujer. La carta ha llegado a manos del manager de Myeong, quien tiene como tarea entregársela al mismo. La carta misma está escrita en una hoja para cartas adornada con dibujos de un cielo estrellado, perfumada con su colonia, escrita en una fina tinta negra con una caligrafía acorde: elegante, y un poco difícil de leer. Junto a ella, una postal que no tiene más que un beso marcado.]

Love Songs

Summary: You and Peter are best friends and get seated together on the plane for the trip to Europe. Thanks to turbulence you and Peter have a moment.

You and Peter have been best friends since you moved into the apartment next door to him. You two were always together, most people assumed the two of you were dating. But that wasn't the case you were just friends. Every time someone would ask if you were a couple Peter was always quick to tell them you were just friends. It was freshman year that you felt different when he would call you his best friend. Then it hit you realized you had a crush on Peter. You knew you needed to keep it a secret.

You were getting ready to go to the airport for the Europe trip. A knock on the door lets you know that Peter is ready to go. You go to let him in and you see the way he looks at you with his cute smile

"Hey Pete"

"Hey, you ready yet? I called for the taxi it should be here in like five minutes"

"Yea, give me a second to grab my stuff," you tell him walking towards your room to grab your bag

"Let me help you," he says when you walk back out pulling your suitcase.

"I got it," you tell him.

"No, let me be a gentleman and help you," he smiles.

You grin at his antics and let him get the suitcase. He grabs your suitcase along with his and you two go to the elevator to the lobby of your building to get into your taxi. He puts your bags in the trunk and you get in the taxi.

"Are you excited?" he asks you

"Yes, but I'm a little nervous. I've never been on a plane before" you tell him honestly.

"You'll be okay, hopefully, we get paired up to sit together," he says with the smile that gives you butterflies

When the two of you get to the airport you check in your bags, go through security and meet up with the rest of the people going on the trip. You and Peter check in with the teachers and let them know you guys are there. Peter goes to say hi to Ned, while you find a spot to sit. The teacher then calls for everyone to come over, that they have announcements to make on how things will work when we reach Prague. You pretty much zone out for most of the speech due to mostly everyone talking over them. You pay attention when they say something regarding seating on the plane

"You can sit with who you want, you all need to pair up, you are all old enough to make smart decisions on where you sit, please make good choices"

You feel eyes on you, you instantly look up to find Peter looking at you smiling. When the teacher finishes their speech, Peter walks over to you.

“You ready to go,” he asks you

“Yup”

The two of you follow the rest of the group into the line to check-in. You scan your ticket and walk on the plane with Peter. The two of you find your seats, put your bags up and sit for the flight. You take the window seat and Peter sits in the middle. You start feeling a bit nervous when the plane gets going. Peter taps your leg you look at him passing you an earbud. You put it on hearing one of your favorite songs playing

"I'll take away the hurt"

"Tell me all your fears"

"And if you're feelin' scared, I'll be here"

Summary: You and Fezco never really hung out or got to know each other. But when you two end up sharing a blunt alone, things get a little heated.

You and Rue have been friends for years, when you found out she ended up in rehab you honestly were terrified. You always told her that she needed to stop, you never did anything stronger than smoke weed.

Rue just texted you that she was on her way to your house to hang out. Knowing Rue that meant she wanted to go get some stuff from Fez. That's all the two of you did together anymore since she got outta rehab and she became friends with Jules.

You hear a knock coming from the window, you look over to see Rue standing there.

"Hey bitch" you say letting her in.

"Wassup, you ready?" she asks.

"Yea, where we goin'?" you ask her already having an idea.

"To Fez's to chill," she says.

You two walk outside and start your walk to the gas station, it's about a twenty-minute walk from where you live.

"Where you been lately?" you ask Rue

"Around, with Jules mostly," she tells you

"What's up with you two? You dating" you ask

"Kinda, not really. All I know is, I like her a lot" she says

You smile, you've never seen her like this. You two finally make it to Fez's. Rue starts knocking on the door mad hard. Ash opens the door looking mad asf

"Why the fuck you knockin' like the cops' bro?" he asks

"Cause I can," Rue says walking in the house

"Hey Ash," you say walking in after Rue

"Come right in then," Ash says closing the door behind us

Rue and I walk into the house and into the living room. Fez is sitting on the couch on his phone. He looks up to see who walked in

"Rue I told you I'm not giving you any more drugs," he tells her

"C'mon Fez, I just need a couple," Rue says

"No Rue, you just got outta rehab and shit. You needa stop messin' with this shit" he tells her

Her phone starts ringing, she answers it and talks for a minute. She hangs up the phone

"I gotta go," she says getting up and leaving without a word. Once the door slams shut. Fezco looks at me and asks

"What'd you need?"

"Just give me my regular," you say now wanting to get outta his house.

“I don’t deserve you, but I want you anyway” for Arden & Jacob please?

hello my love!! so sorry for the delay on this, it's been a hot minute since i've written jake and arden just in their element, so it was really nice to work on this little blurb! quite short and sweet but ♡

warnings: mentions of canon-typical violence, some spoilers for ancient names/witching hour. this scene is sort of witching hour-adjacent!

words: just over 600

jacob doesn't say things like, i miss you. he doesn't cradle her face in his hands and shower her with affectations, doesn't lament or wax poetic about their time apart—and arden prefers it that way. translating jacob's specific brand of affection has become something of a skill, another challenge that she can rise to. it's a better puzzle figuring out when it is that he's saying he loves her than anything she's found yet.

romantics make her uncomfortable. theatrics, dramatics; all varying ics that fall under an umbrella of making a display out of someone's love all feels very...gluttonous.

in the months spent holed up in her house, with santi's constant chatter and the sound of the radio clicking on and off—in the months spent listening to death after death, john's man, gutted like a pig, and then hudson, blooming from her ribs with death and flowers, and then their man, kian, face crushed in like a wafer, nothing left of it—in those months, she sees and hears from him very sparingly. if at all. this would be normal, if the circumstances surrounding his absence were not so bloody, and if she knew that in fact he would be coming back as though nothing had happened at all, but arden knows that this isn't true.

plenty had happened, and a lot of it, and it was very possible that jacob wouldn't come back. maybe not the same as before, and maybe not at all.

when he does come back, he is different—but he is faithfully himself in a lot of ways, too. no i missed yous. no i was worried about yous. just the way that arden likes it: efficient, a quick kiss shared in the brief quiet of the home that had been a sort of holding-cell.

she doesn't even see him much once they get to the compound. there's too much to be done: joseph is upset, and isolde is upset, and someone keeps killing people. it's not until she's been there for at least a week that jacob shows up at the bunkhouse she's been sharing with the lawyer from georgia that he says anything close to i missed you.

his hands reach up and splay, warm and calloused, against the sides of her neck. he ducks his head, and the hard lines of his expression—sharper yet than they were even before, drawn tight by exhaustion and maybe anger, too—soften just a little before he kisses her like he's grieving her.

"jacob," arden says against his mouth because she thinks she knows what he'd be grieving her about, "let me be of use. don't send me to the bunker."

the redhead makes a noise. it's low, a little rough, and his right hand slides to tangle into her hair, knotting unkindly as he kisses her again.

he says, "it would be self-indulgent to keep you here,"

(i don't want you to go)

and he says, "you should be somewhere else,"

(i would hate for you to go)

and he says, "i don't deserve you, but i want you anyway."

(i love you)

purpose, purpose, always brimming on the edge of his words, i want a purpose, i have a purpose, do you? arden skims the pad of her thumb across the scarring of his cheek, down the side of his neck. this, and this, and this, she thinks, kissing the corner of his mouth and then his jaw and then the hollow below his ear. this can be my purpose.

"i won't," jacob says, his voice hoarse, "send you away."

"good," she murmurs, carding her fingers along the collar of shirt. "i missed you, too."

When I started shipping them: When Sam told everyone she was his wife 😂

My thoughts: I did like them but after Sam married Tom I was pretty much over it. In the year before Sam died I generally didn’t like them together because I felt the writers weren’t doing their relationship justice and ruined the potential.

What makes me happy about them: The idea that they rushed into marriage like giddy children in love, and I like that Sam would have brought more adventure and excitement to Dylan’s routine.

What makes me sad about them: That the writers ruined them lol (and I guess more specifically that Dylan shut Sam out of his life for no reason)

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: I’ve actually never read a Sam x Dylan fanfic 😜

Things I look for in fanfic: I would look for married fluff or a first date type of thing

My wishlist: I mean, for Sam not to die and for Dylan to actually be nice to her and maybe a love triangle with Jacob before living happily ever after

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: I think I would have been okay with Sam and Jacob. Honestly, I think Dylan is a lone wolf who is better off alone sometimes haha

My happily ever after for them: Getting remarried somewhere quiet by themselves and living on Dylan’s boat and going on holidays all the time

How I feel about this character: Generally I liked Sam when she was first on the show because she was confident and powerful but she was absolutely destroyed by the writers so the year before she died she became really soulless and confusing and I couldn’t really feel anything for her 🤷‍♀️

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: Just Dylan I think. I used to like her and Tom but looking back (and the fact they broke up) it looked like such a toxic relationship and a BIG NO to Iain.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Honestly, I don’t remember Sam having any friends haha so I guess just Iain  

My unpopular opinion about this character: Don’t know if this is unpopular but I thinks she was a b*tch to Ruby the whole time

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: For her to be a doctor like SHE ACTUALLY IS QUALIFIED AS and not a paramedic urgh

Favorite friendship for this character: She has no friends 😂

john/ell+ kisses exchanged as they move around, hitting the edges of tables or nearly tripping over things on the floor before making it to the sofa, or bed (took some creative liberty with the end location i apologize). no warnings, a little spice and adult language + john has the hots for a murderous woman (maybe a blood warning?). a rewrite of uhhhh THAT scene from ancient names.

It’s a weird energy in the car.

That is to say, John’s careening down from his high, and Jacob is deathly silent as he drives them back to the compound, and Elliot can still taste Kian’s blood in her mouth; it vibrates under her skin, like its own living thing. She thinks that John must feel it too, because he’d gotten it smeared over his mouth when he kissed her, gripping her almost hard enough to bruise-over-bruises, kissing her like a man incensed.

If he does feel it, he’s doing a poor job of hiding it. While Elliot finds remaining still difficult but doable, John cannot stop bouncing his leg in the front passenger seat.

“Knock that shit off,” Jacob says, the words brisk but not necessarily unkind. He’s looking at John when he says it.

“Knock what off?” John replies, because he probably really doesn’t know he’s doing it—not if they dosed him even half as much as they’d done to Elliot before—and the eldest Seed releases a long, suffering sigh that details precisely why he doesn’t like being the savior.

Elliot spots the cigarettes in the cupholder. When she reaches for them, John’s eyes flicker to hers; the black of his pupils are eating away at the stark-blue of his irises, but the corner of his mouth ticks upward when their eyes meet.

His gaze darts down to her lips. He says, “You’ve got something on your mouth.”

Elliot fishes a cigarette out of the carton. Her heart stutters pleasantly in her chest, watching the way John’s eyes—blown wide from the hallucinogen and maybe want, too. “You too.”

“Can you two stop,” Jacob says from the driver’s seat, “eye-fucking each other? I’m right here.”

“We’re not,” John says defensively, but there’s a weird little strain in his voice, like maybe being drugged up to the fucking gills has made it harder for him to regulate his tone or figure out how to say something without sounding suspicious.

Jacob makes a noise that says he’s not convinced, and Elliot leans back to her seat after she hunts down a lighter. The rest of the car ride back to the compound passes in strange lurches of time, in-between moments of John locking his gaze with hers through the rearview mirror, until they’re parked and her feet hit solid ground again.

The world sways pleasantly around her. Boomer hops out and sets off, nose to the ground, and Jacob’s already blurring out of her vision on his way to the chapel. He might be saying something to John, but if he is, the man doesn’t hear—or doesn’t want to—because his hands are on Elliot and he’s kissing her.

And kissing her. And kissing her.

The coppery, hot-metal taste of blood mixes in with the wild scent of pine and sweat; John’s fingers are in her hair, and her fingers are gripping the front of his shirt, and he’s pushing her—walking her back towards the bunkhouse while his teeth dig at her lip and he moans into her mouth.

Her back hits the hard, stiff wood of the door. A split second of pain sprints up her spine, but it’s quickly forgotten in the wake of John’s frenzied, desperate hands and mouth. Elliot fumbles for the doorknob and pushes it open to better pull him inside; John says something against her mouth, something she can’t hear over the roaring of the blood in her ears, and he kicks the door shut behind them.

“Almost fucking died,” is what he says into her mouth, then, in the stillness of the bunkhouse, the only sound breaking the tranquility their labored breaths; sharp gasps between liplocks, and the occasional bump into the end of the bed as he careens her somewhere else.

“I know,” Elliot replies. Her breath hitches when John wads the fabric of the dress—Ase’s dress—in his hands, bunching it at her hips and using the grip to guide her back back back. Another collision with the bedside table and she’s sinking her teeth into his lower lip as a reprimand, for all the good it does; he makes a strangled, wrecked noise and finally, blissfully, finds a wall to press her up against.

“Could’ve fuckin’ died,” John says, again; his brain’s probably looping on repeat right about then.

“Bathroom,” Elliot gasps against his mouth when she can’t get a full breath between his haphazard kissing and the blood and the restricting, cold cotton of the dress. “Shower—John, I don’t—not in this dress.”

He groans, maybe out of frustration and maybe out of want; it wouldn’t matter either way, because he pulls back to look at her—he looks a little wild, with blood on his mouth and his eyes dark, but it’s want that he’s looking at her with, not disgust or repulsion at the way she’d killed Kian, and that’s enough to make her stomach twist and lurch with traitorous desire.

“Yeah,” he murmurs, his voice rough, “okay, yeah, I won’t—fuck you in the dress.”

Funny, a part of Elliot intones almost critically as John finally lets her squirm out from underneath him and move toward the bathroom, that the dress is the dealbreaker for us and not the blood.

Ishikawa, Chris Lintott, Stuart Lynn, Kevin Schawinski, Alex Weiksnar [ Abstract ] We present high resolution observations of a sample of 75 K2 targets from Campaigns 1-3 using speckle interferometry on the Southern Astrophysical Research (SOAR) telescope and adaptive optics (AO) imaging at the Keck II telescope. The median SOAR $I$-band and Keck $K_s$-band detection limits at 1'' were $\Delta m_{I}=4.4$ mag and $\Delta m_{K_s}=6.1$ mag, respectively. This sample includes 37 stars likely to host planets, 32 targets likely to be EBs, and 6 other targets previously labeled as likely planetary false positives. We find nine likely physically bound companion stars within 3'' of three candidate transiting exoplanet host stars and six likely eclipsing binaries (EB). Six of the nine detected companions are new discoveries, one of them associated with a planet candidate (EPIC 206061524). Among the EB candidates, companions were only found near the shortest period ones ($P<3$ days), which is in line with previous results showing high multiplicity near short-period binary stars. This high resolution data, including both the detected companions and the limits on potential unseen companions, will be useful in future planet vetting and stellar multiplicity rate studies for planets and binaries.
