LOOK. I know, okay. I know it's not gonna happen. There's no way they make henderhop canon after showing Suzie in 2 seasons. She is smarter than Dustin and Dustin is her only connection to the plot. They need the smartest people in the final season to defeat the threat. I get it.

Just IMAGINE the GA's reaction like "And El ends up with DUSTIN????? WTF IS THIS" and I would be like "IT IS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE, THAT'S WHAT IT IS"

Just the concept of springing their relationship in the GA's face in the final season after they have barely interacted one on one since S1 is hilarious to me, truly turns me into a giggly bitch

Like, the Byers living with the Wheelers, Max waking up probably blind and in a wheelchair, Vecna coming in full force to this dimension, kidnapping Holly, El disappearing as well, the whole town being in shambles, the gays gaying up their screen time (Byler and Rovickie) and then, in the middle of ALL THAT CHAOS

Henderhop being endgame.

It would be way too funny.

And you might say "That's unrealistic, it would make zero sense for the plot" but I would raise you that Dr. Brenner coming back to life probably twice in one show also makes zero sense for the plot. Introducing Kali and the probability of other experiments with different powers also having escaped just to retcon that entire thing in season FOUR OUT OF FIVE is unrealistic. The Duffers are very selective with their realism so I can be, too!

I'm not even gonna be disappointed if it doesn't happen, I'll just think they wasted another opportunity to do the funniest thing ever

I want m1leven to be broken up the entire time skip. I want her to be closer to Max and Dustin and Lucas and the rest of the characters. I want her to live and enjoy life and find someone who actually loves her like she craves to be loved. I want her to be done with Mike as soon as possible so they can spend more time being friends.

(and if they whip out a henderhop endgame I will be cackling, it would be so jarring)

I have a perfectly good reason for Henderhop to be at least more possible if not outright canon, LISTEN UP

Dustin is grieving. He is hurt. He had Eddie die in his arms in a different dimension, then he had to tell Wayne that his nephew had died and he couldn’t even tell him the full truth.

Dustin also could have died back there. And now, he has first-hand experience about how his death would probably be communicated to his loved ones. But he needs revenge for what happened, still. Eddie was killed. Max was almost killed. Steve and Robin were almost killed. This has never been more serious for him.

So, I think it would kinda make sense for him to break up with Suzie. I'm pretty sure his mom doesn't even know he has a long-distance girlfriend. If Dustin died, Suzie would never know, not the full truth of it or at all. And he can't bear the thought of her hurting for him like he is hurting now for Eddie, in case things go worse for him this time. So he lets her go. Shuts her out completely. And he is devastated by it.

With all that setup, all I need is 1 (one) single conversation between El and Dustin. I need them to understand each other. I need her to talk to him about grief. I need her to connect with his pain and his need to protect those around him. I need her to say "I keep trying to protect all of you. And I always have to do it alone." so Dustin can understand the choice he is making.

And I want him to tell her that they won't do this alone ever again. That they need to defeat Vecna together, not just depend on her.

Just one conversation. Let them traumabond ONCE. Just once. It's all I'm asking I can do the rest Duffers please-

We have to remember how powerful Kali is, she really is the key against Vecna

her powers for me go beyond illusions. She can mess with the mind more than we realize, we just need to see more of it

And if she's responsible for saving Terry from his catatonic state (it's not my theory, it's a general consensus).

But how would this be useful for season 5?

Kali would be great against Vecna directly, since apart from their powers the two seem to have a connection.

It's obvious that Henry helped Kali escape and not only that, but he also put the idea of revenge into her head, which wasn't difficult as Kali had already had a bit of this instinct since she was a child.

Now we're starting to get paranoid, because now everything I say is speculation.
