why do I have to see Murray’s balding ass???? according to the duffers and stranger things writing process, he’s served his purpose—should’ve been gone after S3 if not S2 so why do I have to see him over and over again? why did this fucker get a call so he can keep pointing out the obvious?

they’ll keep the raging z*onist but not Kali (Eleven’s sister character who was meant to just be edgy but brought so much depth to herself AND El, 008, test subject with fucking powers that would be beneficial in taking down Vecna) or Argyle (literal ride or die who got roped into the upside down business, was shot at with his friends, buried a dead body, drove across the country to reunite the group, is linked to the group in multiple ways, played a similar role as Robin’s in ST3 but apparently he doesn’t get to stay).

they’ll keep the ugly, old white guy who is just a companion at this point but not the POCs that go MIA after they’re used to further the plot for a white main character.

sick of people justifying the lack of diversity in stranger things with the fact that it's an 80s small town when they have fucking great poc characters who are either underutilised (lucas, erica) or who they just deleted off the show (kali, argyle). not to mention all of vecna's victims being fleshed out...except the Black one! and all the opportunities they could've used for rep, like vickie. this is a consistent pattern.

thinking about some things from season 4 that were left out and how some of them match up with season 5

many of these things were from SCENES that didn't make it into the season 🤯

like scenes at bradley's where they were filmed at night and nothing shows up in season 4.... Have you seen it? because I haven't

But in s5 Murray appears wearing a supermarket shirt

in addition to the truck that also appears

Now to Lonnie, the actor who plays him was at the table read and so we were expecting to see him during the season but nothing either

But now in s5 we'll have a flashback where will and Jonathan are younger, not that it's confirmed, but for me Lonnie does appear, as does Joyce

Now the main thing (for me at least) There were recordings at Terry Ives' house but there were no scenes of the Ives house.

My guess is, as s4 and s5 were supposed to have been recorded together I think a lot of things from season 4 went into season 5 like the two examples I gave above.

The interesting thing for us is that both Kali and Terry were mentioned in addition to some subtle references, and if all this is a tease of what we're waiting for since they didn't manage to bring them back in season 4 for some reason.

At the end of Eddie's campaign, they had to defeat Vecna and the 2 remaining players were Dustin and Erica. When Dustin went for his last chance, he misses the opportunity to kill Vecna when his dice hit the number 11. Eddie says "That's a MISS!" meaning he couldn't kill Vecna with that number.

11 = Eleven

And then, at the same time, the basketball game of Lucas is being parallaled with the DnD game. While the timer is about to hit 0 and the game's over, Lucas makes the final move and wins, by wearing the number 8 on him.

8 = Kali

So is Kali the key to kill Vecna? Will El need Kali to kill him?

And characters that died may even get new scenes in flashbacks

I think everyone that said they won't come back is LYING, Maya said every ep of S5 is like a movie, there's space for everyone bffr

It's late, I'm almost at about 48 hours of no sleep but I had a thought before I pass out.

There's the Steve x Kali rarepair and the Robin x Kali rarepair. But envision with me... Steve x Kali x Robin. Steve and Robin are still completely platonic with a capitol P but they both like Kali and Kali likes both of them and doesn't find their codependency and occasional desire to meld into one being off-putting. If anything she finds it endearing. So they're platonic soulmates who share a girlfriend who is all about her dingus boyfriend and girlfriend.

Idk, just a thought. Carry on.

Something about how most of the kids have the same powers (telekinesis, able to find and see people in the void) but Henry (first subject, wasn’t born in the lab) and Kali (kidnapped from her family, wasn’t born in the lab) have different powers (they both have powers the rest didn't have, like being able to make people see things).

(So the not being able to make people see things and having the same powers as the other kids happens because of the lab interfering with the birth/pregnancy. Smth smth Henry’s dna smth smth)
