the other day, i decided i would try and reread the whole pjo + heroes series. fun fact; it was actually one of the very first fandoms that inspired me to start drawing. good news, i made it past book 1. we’ll see how far i get this summer...

PERCY JACKSON IS THE PRESIDENT OF THE NICO DI ANGELO FANCLUB I WILL FIGHT ALL OF YOU! I got into an argument with some one who was like "Percy hated him" like dude, Percy is incapable of hating anyone but Octavian istg. My dude even feels sympathy for the monsters he kills. Percy Jackson is one of the first people to welcome Nico to CHB. Percy Jackson is THE ONLY person who looked for Nico after he went missing when his siter died(he did that fully knowing who Nico's parent was). The only time Percy remotely didn't trust Nico was when he genuinely betrayed him in TLO. And even then he got over that! In HoO Percy might not have been the friendliest but this dude is suffering from amnesia and the lasting effects that being used in the way he's been used since he was 12 can be and...

Actually. I take back what I said. No, not the whole paragraph. Percy isn't the president of the Nico fanclub, but he is the gods be damned founder of it.

CHB campers who know Percy at that guy who blew himself up in that volcano and Nico as the creepy son of Hades who regularly summons skeletons to sit with him during lunch and Thalia as that girl that was a tree and is now chasing monsters across the US and Canada, just assuming that there's something wrong with all the Big Three kids so when Jason drops to all fours and starts chasing birds, eating them whole, bones and feathers and all, they're just like "fucking knew it"

Which makes Hazel's presumable "normality" confusing as fuck, because they're all waiting for her to do something deranged or weird, and she's just vibing.
