Do you have any more Steven universe au passion projects other than the blue au?

Yes I do, but they all are swirling around in my head currently, theres nothing concrete. As mentioned previously swaps make me so happy, so if I was to work on something else after this it would be like a complete swap au. Connie would be the mc, and the CGs would be a Lapis, Peridot and an Eyeball (ruby)/Jasper fusion. Connie would be the daughter of Holly Blue Agate. Our cast in the main show would instead fill in those positions somewhat. I haven't completely thought it out yet, mainly just some ideas without structure, unlike my Blue AU which is completely planned and has a lot of thought put into it.

I actually reused a few old gem designs of mine for some of these btw, some had more aspects reused than others. Those gems being: Peridot, Bismuth, and Aquamarine.

here's some further info I came up with while I was working on these after that initial post:

Garnet's forced fusion has them looking like an imperfect fusion, think Malachite. They look wrong.

But when they reach that point of "We choose to fuse. We choose love. This is our choice now. Not yours." They look normal. like a "perfect fusion".

Perhaps… each consecutive reformation over the years, they grew to be more harmonious and in sync with one another. They didn't want to unfuse out of an inherent fear of repercussion even despite no longer being on homeworld and under Pink's control. they eventually learn to let go and unfuse now and again.. and learn to be on their own and explore each other individually.

They refuse in the end tho and find more peace with each other overtime. Which leads to their eventual perfect fusion as they have reached that peak level of loving themselves and becoming the one. the singularity.

No longer are they fused for entertainment of someone else, but choosing to be fused of their own free will.

Pink Sapphire and Ruby.. together as Rhodolite Garnet.

(I don't know if I'll ever draw their forced fusion form)

Amethyst is both overcooked and didn't have enough resources to fully form, hence her slightly off proportions. (Her lower half is smaller than her upper half on top of just being way shorter than she should be)

If she was on Homeworld she would have been given limb enhancers. She hates when her appearance is noted as she struggles to overcome her own self-hate. Wishing she was made perfect.. like Jasper. However, overtime and with the help of her friends and Steven, she's begun her journey to self-love and self-acceptance.

Peridot learns of Amethyst's distaste for verbal observations first hand and refrains from it after learning her lesson.

Pearl.. is what all pearls are like originally. she has no personalized customization. she is, default. Out of playful curiosity she was pushed onto White as a companion piece.

Pearl saw the misery of White's position under Pink's control, even if White couldn't see it herself (not fully and not well given her power of allowing others to control her like a puppet.. a toy) and helped to get White to leave and escape Homeworld. This caused Pink to throw the biggest tantrum.

Homeworld hasn't been the same since.

the way Greg manages to get through to White when she's on earth and to connect with her is through his music. he plays his music and it resonates with her. She ends up spending more time with him due to the music bringing them together.

She sings along to his playing and it's magical. They share information about gems and humans.. and they share music and song.

A parallel to Rose & Greg.

I had the image of her turning away from Greg and him panicking and just starts playing his guitar for her and it stops her. He starts singing a song for her and she slowly turns around to watch and listen.

Maybe she joins in, too.. Repeating a few lines with him.

He got her attention!!! he scored a point!!!

Even diamonds if so desired, though finding the resources for another will take some time. I really wish you had stayed.. Wasn't it fun, White? Playing those games with me? Why did you leave? Don't you know how much that hurt me? Really.. I can't believe you'd go and hurt me like that, but.. You won't have to hurt me anymore now that you're back! In fact, you won't have to hurt anyone anymore! Now, come here and give me your gem~

Greg: your mother.. Crystal.. She was unlike any other woman I've ever met. In fact.. she was unlike any other gem I've ever met, too. She was.. different.. There was just something about her that made me want to get closer. To understand her. She may not be here anymore, but.. I'm real glad I was able to have spent time with her. Those are some precious memories that I'll treasure forever.

something about lapis and peridot never fusing because of their connection. they prefer to be in each other's individual presence, especially since both of them were held back by homeworld so much. peridot is repulsed by fusion due to homeworld, and lapis is traumatized by jasper, these limitations compliment each other so they can be comfortable. it's healthier for them to be emotionally separate while together, which can be such a good message for abusive survivors who are used to someone else's life being their entire world. i feel like their relationship has a big emphasis on consent and communication too. idk i love them.

Apatite (this isn't their first fusion form)

Some backstory.

Right after the gem war. White and Pink sent three gems (Jasper, purple sapphire and peridot) to earth to make sure all of the crystal gems have been destroyed from the blast. They got ambushed by Holly blue and Pearl causing the splitting of sapphire and peridot from Jasper. Sapphire and peridot stick together wondering the earth and avoiding getting attacked by the crystal gems for months and eventually fall in love with one another. After sharing their first kiss they fuse into Apatite.

Holly blue finds them fused causing them to panic and unfuse. Holly explains that's fusing with a different gem is normal and that she's happy they experienced it. Sapphire and peridot find Jasper had joined the crystal gems and convinced them both to stay and join them as well.

*Note: Also I don't know when Era 2 on home world started.*

Pairing: Romantic/Platonic

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Manipulation, Overprotective/Possessive behavior, Isolation, PTSD, Repeat of trauma on someone else, Unhealthy coping mechanism, Toxic themes, Stalking, Jealousy, Violence, Attempted murder, Jasper has affected her, Forced companionship/relationship.

Lapis is a character who has actually gone through her fair share of toxicity.

She has had her trust betrayed many times and has experienced centuries of isolation.

Lapis is not someone who easily trusts strangers.

It doesn't matter if her soon-to-be obsession is a Gem or human.

She'll come off as cold or outright mean towards someone she hasn't met at first until they prove themselves not a threat.

Even if you're a friend of Steven's, she still struggles to get along with others and acclimate to Earth at times.

She's used to threats like The Diamonds or Jasper.

She's used to people using her.

As a result, if she were to have an obsession, it would be slower than the usual yandere.

She would need to learn that she can trust you before she wants to be around you all the time.

However, once she does...

I'd say Lapis starts protective yet has some possessive behavior sneak into her actions.

Her possessive actions probably stem from her time fused as Malachite with Jasper.

That Fusion is the embodiment of toxicity in relationships.

It has shown to affect Lapis, considering her need to feel in control due to being used her entire life.

Which could mean, even if it isn't intentional, she ends up using her new obsession to aid herself.

I unfortunately feel Lapis would use your attention in an unhealthy way.

At first she tries to keep you at a distance, claiming she isn't interested in being close to anyone.

She doesn't care if Steven sent you and Peridot to try and help her get used to Earth... She'd rather be alone.

Yet with enough persistence and understanding, Lapis soon begins to accept the fact you're around.

Despite her defensive nature, Lapis is a lonely person.

6,000 years of isolation coupled with trust issues will do that to a Gem.

So... When she finally finds companionship that she feels won't leave and betray her...

She's going to want to keep that.

Lapis is surprisingly not clingy.

At least, compared to Peridot, Lapis is very laid back around her obsession.

She likes to keep an eye on you but isn't going to force affection.

Her affection is rather tame, she just likes knowing you're in the same place as her.

She at first found it irritating when you kept asking to see her do 'water tricks'... if not downright traumatic.

Yet when you understand that and are patient... She may offer to try it once or twice to see your eyes sparkle.

It's kinda cute to see.

Lapis is protective of you for a number of reasons.

One, she's used to danger around every corner.

Two, she was originally doing it since you and Steven know one another and she wants to protect Steven along with his trust.

Three, it soon becomes the fact she's scared to lose you once she realizes she's found someone she's comfortable with.

So... reason three is like an evolved version of reason one....

Lapis wants control, she wants you to be hers.

Which can make her toxic, a reflection of her time as Malachite.

Except Malachite was to take her anger out on Jasper.

The control she exhibits over you is less... malicious.

It's due to paranoia or fear of abandonment rather than hate.

Still really bad though.

In her search for control, Lapis would end up isolating you just so you only look at and interact with her.

Wrong? Yes, she no doubt knows it's wrong.

But just like with Malachite, it feels so right.

If you were a Gem, she'd exhibit control over you through Fusion.

Yet hopefully it isn't as destructive as Malachite.

As a human, she just rarely keeps you out of her sight.

Would not surprise me if she tried to have you move into the barn at one point.

It doesn't matter if you're a friend or possible romantic partner, she wants to make you stay with her either way.

Which, of course, goes from just being protective...

To becoming possessive and controlling.

Her yandere behavior no doubt stems from what she's gone through, eventually.

Jasper most likely affected how she interacts with you now.

Also, based on actions in the show, I can see Lapis snapping and nearly killing someone.

By, y'know, drowning.

She doesn't like strangers due to her trust issues.

So if she perceived someone as a threat to you, her water powers may just...

Get out of control.

Lapis fears losing you.

It's almost understandable... Until you see her nearly drown a friend or family member.

However, if you're afraid of her, it's almost like she doesn't care.

Lapis doesn't care if you're afraid of her if that means you won't leave her.

It would be one of her most toxic traits towards her obsession.

If she had to intimidate you to keep you hers, to control you...

She should, shouldn't she?

Again, this is another Jasper trait.

Jasper has definitely changed her.

You could tell her that you hate her, that you don't want to be around her.

She's felt worse before, hasn't she?

You'll... change your mind eventually.

I have a bad feeling a yandere Lapis would just be Malachite all over again... Except she takes Jasper's role.

It's a repeat of her trauma, except she's in control.

She has you in her grasp in her control...

She'll make sure you never leave her...

Be that through hate or love... she doesn't care... she just can't be alone anymore.

- seasnake fusion is kornerupine, weapon either a slingshot of sorts or a trebuchet); they frequently fuse for long periods, get restless and argue, unfuse, make up, then re-fuse ad infinitum

- theo is very wary of fusion and is a stickler for rules specifically relating to it. ‘you shouldn’t do that unless permitted or instructed to by a superior’ type beat. and everyone has to remind him that they’re rebels

Made a stobotnik/sonic x steven universe AU a little while back, abandoned it but I still felt like sharing some of the character sheets

A bunch of words below the cut:

Ivo Robotnik – red diamond/red quartz. Dimond form is closer to game eggman design, quartz form is closer to S1 robotnik design. the mustache being the gem placement in both, but the size of it varies depending on the form rob takes. His character is pretty much fully based off roze quartz/pink diamond, his personality being a lot like her's in this au, but with the added intelligence and ego. He's alot nicer to stone than Rob in the movies, but only after they got to know each other, before that he was just normal eggman. He doesn't really like a lot of his duties as a diamond, and would much rather spend time building machines and robots.

Agent stone – purple jasper. His gemstone is located on his right hand, but it and stones arms and legs are covered up by a pair of limb enhancers made by robotnik, like peridot. Without them hes alot shorter than most other Jaspers. But he's still quite strong and built, a lot like amethyst in the show. His character is similar to amethyst, ruby and Jasper, in the way that he was made to fight and serve others, really just a weapon for higher up gemstones, but he also has a lot of traits from pearl, especially when it comes to being with eggman. Other than that, his personality is pretty much identical to him in the sonic movies.

Fusion (quartz robotnik) – rubellite tourmaline when the red quartz version of robotnik fuzes. Design wise, they have double arms, eyes And gems like most fusions, along with the small mustache and beard, the colour of it being reliant on which gem it's taken from (mustache is red and beard is purple) their first fusion was like pearl and roses first fusion, after they got assigned a mission on earth, and eggman first found out he can turn into a quartz. Though, like pearl and roses was, it wasn't a full fusion, and there actual fusion was done as a mix of Greg x rose if the fusion actually worked, and ruby x sapphire

Fusion (diamond) – fusion with a diamond is extremely unstable, but can be done only with the help of the master emerald. With this they become Alexandrite. The form does have the double limbs, ect like the quartz fusion, but the design resembles game eggman more, with a bigger mustache, chubbier body and a pointier nose. Because of how unstable the fusion is, it was alot more painful and forced than the first time. It was only done as a last resort to defeat sonic's gang, who are the gem/mobian mix that currently inhabit earth, unlike the humans in the actual show.

Gerald robotnik – white diamond. Like his grandson, he has a very large gem placed above his lip that simulates a mustache. His personality is alot like he is in the movies, and though he's not a heartless man, he certainly favors maria. He's never really focused on his grandson, especially when he was a child, because of the ongoing gem war happening at the time. He never really believed Ivo would be much help, and that's shown when he decided to create shadow as a "backup"

Maria robotnik – blue diamond. Her gem placement and shape is pretty much identical to blue diamond in Steven universe. She's a very caring person, being immediately fond of shadow and Ivo, (even if that wasn't exactly reciprocated by some) but she lacks ambition, and fears speaking out about things, especially if it means disagreeing with Gerald, who has manipulated maria and himself into believing he's doing these things, fighting, for his family.
