Like is Amity going to Join Them on their vacation (couples trip becomes throuples trip!) On one hand Amity alone in the Boiling Isles stuck in her feelings with nobody to talk to about it except Lilith and Darius is Peak Comedy. But on the other hand. Luz showing up to Camila’s with Hunter and Amity and being like “Hi mom you remember my Hunter well now I would like to introduce you to my Amity! Can she stay too pls.” is also Peak Comedy

Happy STS! What is the main setting of your WIP? How important is it to the story?

Famously. The plot of Personal Demons is. In a car, for the most part. Everyone can thank @incandescent-creativity for informing me that this information does in fact mean this book is a road trip novel. I forget that fact quite often.

It is important!!! because they are Running Away. This is both Literal and Metaphorical. Alice is running away from admitting how bad her health is getting, Aalis is running away from her PTSD, Cadoc is running away from his grief and also The Prophecy, and Barry is running away from how corrupt the power system he's put blind faith into for thousands of years is. Oh, yeah, and they're running away from the people (angels) who want Cadoc and Aalis dead, I guess. That too.

(or that a plan was happening.) bc why wouldn’t he monologue in reality? & in reality, doesn’t akira fall backwards from the force of the bullet, while in sae’s cognition he slumps forward in a way that’s noticeably unrealistic? & we never see him leave the metaverse + realize, which I wonder abt the most… idk…

Yeah, that's also a really neat take on it! He definitely does react when Sae shows him the phone, so it's fair to assume that he's either fully cognizant, or at the very least skeptical, of his surroundings after that.

As for the Akechi killing Akira in reality ending, that's a little more complicated. In the missed deadline endings, yes, Akira's shot and blown backwards onto the ground. But in the "real" bad ending when you make it to the interrogation room, it plays out the animated cutscene like the normal route where his head hits the table. The cutscene plays out, it cuts to the Velvet Room with Igor telling Akira that ruin is coming and that he will be stuck in that cell forever, and then it cuts back to the game's model of Akira bleeding out on the ground without the gun in his hand like in the missed deadline endings.

I know we all drag this plan/sequence of events for all the flaws and stuff, but truly... there's a lot to interpret, and knowing that Akechi's a Metaverse veteran at this point makes it difficult to believe he wasn't aware at both the entry and exit points that something was up. Unless we're to believe he was just riding that high of victory so hard he didn't notice the obvious, which... fair. But also. What if.

i do! alot of my mutuals inspire me, my fav online artist is jadenvargen on here. also I'm kind of an art history loser so I really love old expressionistic +cubic paintings. an illustrator that I found recently that I really love is gigi cavenago! as for art style...I really love older cartoonists like bill watterson and alison bechdel. more modern cartoonists I love are yugo limbo and david cowles
