post redemption & continually healing azula together with someone like jin is so fun because. well I think a healthy azula is fundamentally so boring. her enrichment as a 14 yro was staging coups and as a somewhat healthier adult she has to channel that creativity and intelligence into like, making pottery and playing pai sho and memorizing witty poems that she tries to slide into conversations casually and utterly fails at.

and so normalcore azula meets other boring girls doing her little normal activities but since its not like azula actually understands what is Normal™ she doesn't register that her new boring girlfriend is actually balls to the wall insane

And even if it does let up, everything will be wet—the lanterns won’t even light! …Assuming the water hasn’t already ruined them entirely.” She nudges a wet clump of hair out of Azula’s eyes. “Let me get you a towel and a change of clothes, and then we can—” “No,” Azula interrupts. Jin hesitates. “…No?” “No. We’re going out.”
