Thats super strange. While i would have rather the whole game just be ignored, and we side eyed people instead of harassing them, the meme that was saying buying the game could endanger trans life wasnt that far off. Thats because JK is seeing people still buying her stuff as confirmation that she is right. She has said she donates money to Anti trans organisations. Many of these are lobbying, influencing politicians in the UK and the US to pass Anti trans legislations. In Nevada a bill is now under consideration that would make it illegal to wear clothes associated with a different gender than the one you were born with near children. Its a so called anti drag legislation, and is being suggested in several states right now. In Nevada it would be punishable with jail and having to register as a sex offender. But trans people won't just stop being trans if they make it illegal and remove all options of treatment, they will die.

Yeah, that's fair enough. It's like I said, I understand the point they're making and it's definitely a valid one, but I will simply never be okay with the way many of these people have conducted themselves. If no gross harassment had occurred, I would have been a lot more sympathetic, but I just cannot condone the actions of a large portion of that community (or at least the portions that are prevalent online and on social media). If those people are going to make it their mission to bully and harass anyone and everyone, sometimes even to the point of tears, just because their targets are playing a video game that they don't like, then those people are not in the right.
