“Superman vs. Meshi,” “Batman: Justice Buster,” and “Joker: One Operation Joker” Manga Getting English Translations
DC Comics is working on English translations of the Kodansha series of manga books featuring DC characters. Superman vs. Meshi, Batman: Justice Buster, and Joker: One Operation Joker will launch first exclusively on DC Universe Infinite, which is getting an update with a manga-friendly reader. In the fall of 2023, DC will release collected edition of each title as well.
Superman vs. Meshi hails from writer Satoshi Miyagawa and artist Kai Kitago. Superman is a hunger hero and so makes quick stops in Japan to try out a new chain restaurant every day. “Whether it’s a hearty bowl of curry or conveyor-belt sushi, the Man of Steel loves to indulge in the delectable delicacies the country has to offer. He’ll even share a meal with the other members of the Justice League from time to time in the hopes of showing them an incredible culinary experience.” (DC Comics)
Batman: Justice Buster hails from Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi. Batman has only been protecting Gotham for a show time, but since his arrival crime has gotten even more bold and destructive. “As Batman tries to rise to meet these new threats, he develops a computer system, ROBIN, to help him analyze and subdue the rising criminal tide and hopefully one day put an end to crime in Gotham.” (DC Comics)
Joker: One Operation Joker hails from writer Satoshi Miyagawa and artist Keisuke Gotou. The manga will put the Joker in the role of single father after an encounter with Batman de-ages the hero into a baby. Naturally, the “Joker takes it upon himself to raise the child into the crusader of justice! But does the Clown Prince of Crime really understand what it means to be Batman—or, more importantly, what it means to raise a baby all by yourself?” (DC Comics)

So... I just learned that there's a manga out there where Batman gets turned into a baby and so the Joker decides to raise him as his own kid... Thanks Japan! Glad to know this exists! I hate it! :D

Out this week: Various DC manga titles (DC, $9.99): Three DC manga titles arrive in print this week, following their release on DC Universe Infinite:
Superman vs. Meshi by Satoshi Miyagawa with art by Kai Kitago, which is about Clark Kent’s daily lunch selections in Japan;
Batman: Justice Buster by Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi, which has Batman creating a supercomputer named ROBIN to help him fight crime; and
Joker: One Operation Joker by Satoshi Miyagawa with art by Keisuke Gotou, which finds Batman de-aged into a baby, who the Joker decides to raise. No, seriously.
See what else is arriving in comic shops this week -- but I'm not sure what could top Daddy Joker raising Baby Batman.

my comic store gave me a dc manga free sampler.
it had a few pages of the following mangas:
Joker: One Operation Joker
Superman vs Meshi
Batman: Justice Buster.
Joker: One Operation Joker is about Joker raising a baby-ified Batman after Batman falls into a vat of chemicals that turns him into a baby. So far my only comment is WTF and that it would be funnier if we didn't have Joker's internal narration. We should just see him waving a knife around a baby and be forced to wonder what's going on, rather than him thinking about changing diapers.
batman: justice buster had well drawn action, very little dialogue or internal narration to slow things down, they just let the art speak for itself. But I don't know exactly what the premise is because there was only dialogue on the last page.
Superman vs Meshi seems to mostly be about Superman eating at Japanese restaurants. Clark claims superman has made there be world peace, so his boss can't blame him for writing a boring article about a giant (but not record worthy) apple pie. the comic starts with superman in line at a ramen shop, then it ends with superman being glad that lois rejected him asking her to go out with him to eat, because he wanted to go eat at a japanese restaurant chain instead
I'm not sure I'm interested in reading the batman ones, b/c I don't care about the Joker and while the Batman: Justice Buster looks well-done so far, without a premise that interests me I'm not going to go out of my way to read out of continuity comics. But i WILL read Superman vs Meshi, I want to find out why the comic seems mostly to be about restaurants so far.

I'm so tired
I'm so tired
I can barely see you moving
You better look alive
I hide behind the lights
And ah, ah, ah
I'm so tired
I'm so tired and
I can see your body screaming
It makes me feel alive
My eyes all over you and ah, ah, ah
I can see you follow you wherever you go
Shining in the dead of night
I can see you picture you wherever I go
Naked in the dead of night
I'm so high
I'm so high
When I hear your body screaming
It makes me paralysed
I'm so high
I'm hypnotised and ah ah ah
[ I am coming down
We are rolling 1 2 3
See your body on the screen of my TV
I am coming down
We are rolling 1 2 3
Ah ah ah—]
