One of the things I love about kdramas is that it really subverts what masculinity is supposed to be. You see the loser who's down bad for the female lead (Lovely runner, queen of tears, Love Next Door, Strong Girl Do Bong Soon, the Judge from Hell), you see the soft masculinity in hometown cha cha cha, summer strike and Doctor Slump and extraordinary attorney woo, the protective kind of masculinity in any of Ji Chang Wook's and Ahn Bo Hyun's works, the reassured and confident masculinity of Seo Kang Joon in Undercover High school and Lee Jun Hyuk in Love scout, the playful masculinity in Twinkling Watermelon and Crash Course in Romance, the stoic but gentle masculinity in Doctor Romantic and Hierarchy, and the "I care about you and only you" kind of masculinity in Vincenzo to name a few.
This is progress from the old kdramas and I get that it's fictional and in real life, some of these actors are assholes. But in the era where Toxic masculinity is rampant, I think we can turn towards kdrama to have some inkling of what kind of man we should strive to be and what kind of man we should want. This should not something we see only in fiction. We should raise our sons (I'm 21) to be like this so that one day it's not just a concept for fictional love stories.

haven’t even watched mickey 17 yet and have been trying to avoid spoilers but i’m sure if i were to check ao3 there are more fics shipping 17/18 than mickey with the literal black love interest because i know how fan spaces treat women especially black love interests when another man is around it doesn’t matter if the other man is his brother, cousin, uncle they’ll find a way to exclude her

I’m baffled at how people are not drooling over Mickey 17 the way I am. Mickey is such an endearing main character, you cannot help but root for him. Mickey 18 is the perfect representative of a wholesome, morally right boy getting corrupted by capitalism ! The dialogue was wacky, off-kilter and SO different from political satires from the past 10 years. It covered basically every single thing wrong with society, without being depressing, which is five stars in my eyes.

All this discourse with Saltburn may or may not being an eat-the-rich movie takes me back to when people's main criticism of Parasite was that its writing failed by making the Kim family too unlikable.
If you ask me, I feel like if you went into either film thinking them as eat-the-rich films, then it does come off as bad writing. However, neither story works well as an eat-the-rich film because that was never the intention. Sure, class disparity and social inequality are both vital themes but the main point of the EtR genre is about taking down the system, which neither film even tries to accomplish.
Parasite is a criticism of modern capitalism. It was never about pitting the poor against the rich. Bong Joon-Ho said himself, "It's a comedy without clowns and a tragedy without villains." The Kim family aren't meant to be hailed as heroes, and nowhere in the writing does it come off like that. But you end up asking yourself how come this family, who is clearly very capable and skillful, are just barely surviving off the edge of poverty and has no choice but to resort to scamming an entire family just to make a livable wage. Keep in mind they were barely making a profit—the biggest change to their lifestyle was being able to afford slightly better food than usual. Why is it that the poor will go as far as to fight among themselves just to continue leeching of the wealthy? Who benefited aside from the Parks? You could argue that Mr. Kim stabbing Mr.Park in the end was his way of fighting the system, but the film ends with him stuck in the basement, feeding off the house itself, still contributing to the same system that placed him there. EtR would've been more about the negative effects that come from the Parks from hoarding so much wealth that could sustain three entire families, making them deserved of comeuppance. Parasite instead focuses on how it's the system that keeps these class divisions in place.
It's the same with Saltburn. Oliver Quick does, in his own way, challenge the system. But what people forget is that it's not even as though the system ever worked against Oliver—he grew up in an (upper) middle-class household and managed his way into a prestigious university. He may not have been in the 1%, but he was at least in a position where he could go the rest of his life being comfortable. He just got greedy. He wanted more. He wanted to be on the inside. Saltburn isn't a story where a person painstakingly makes his way up the social ladder after starting from nothing whilst making the rich succumb to their sins; there is no justice or vengeance taking place here. Just a single man who manipulated the system to get more than his fair shares, just like his predecessors of Saltburn did. If it was EtR, it would've shed more light on how the Catton family and their wealth do more harm than good, justifying Oliver's actions. And even though they're unlikable, the most harmful thing about them is their performative charity and willful ignorance of the real world. This doesn't mean Saltburn lacks in substance; it's a compelling narrative on obsession and hedonism which introduces an excellent anti-hero, it just doesn't work as an EtR story. And it isn't supposed to.

Shoutout to these men and these men only (okay and majima. And Zhao and I guess I’ll include kuroiwa because I’m not okay)
Rgg designs beautiful men and makes them silly. And then they design men who are silly and bully-able (tomizawa).
I hope in yakuza 9 they make zhaohan canon and they make out, oh and Kazumaji should finally get their wedding.
Also also I’ve been watching persona 3 reload (can’t afford it) and like Akihiko is my favorite. Then I realized. Has the knuckles for fighting…talks about protein…mentions having a strict training regiment…weird guy who you think is going to be normal and level headed. It hit me. JOONGI and Akihiko are my favorites for a reason. Huh? I like them both because they are the same, not really but I mean like they are the same brand of character that makes me happy.

Mickey 17 - Review
Whilst I do try not to come across as too preachy in my writing (with the exception of telling your average MCU enjoyer that they are part of the problem and need to address themselves), we all need to be careful about following trends. There was a time within living memory where it was cool to slag off Robert Pattinson, usually in the presence of teenage girls enamoured of his pasty performance…

a few notes about The Midnight Romance in Hagwon
it's all too similar to Something in the Rain
lots of spoilers ahead
the red umbrella that started everything
the age gap (they're both 6 years apart) and the ages (29-35 respectively)
the frenemy co-worker fall-out because of a crush on the lead male
the co-worker bonding due to the secret affair
the apartment the lead female lives in
the childish behavior of the younger male partner to reflect they'll be hastier as they're more youthful, therefore immature and the woman is basically dating a child
the hard-working female lead whose life is ruined bc she fell in love
even down to the cast, the lead male was in Something in the Rain! He's familiar with the environment all too well!
The male leads names Joon-hee and Joon-Ho The OG actress SON YE JIN and the female lead's name Seo Hye Jin
Like I understand the director is the same but this is all too comical at this point. The actors have been re-purposed, and the plot has somewhat been recycled.
I was very excited to see Wi Ha-Joon in a romance where he'll finally be getting some action. I know a lot of us were just waiting on a kissing scene of his since he's been reluctant to give us one. But for the love of all that is holy, they even recycled his final get-up in Little Women in the final episode of Hagwon.
While, of course, I can't boil the entire thing down to just these similarities, it just didn't leave a mark because it didn't feel super new?
Jung Ryeo-Won is gorgeous, I feel like someone could bury me in her dimples. Wi Ha-Joon didn't fit into this series somehow? Or has he already been typecast? Could it be that he just didn't let himself be vulnerable with anyone in real life that he doesn't know how to act it out in a romantic series? I will never know.
I appreciate his vigor in running to dick down Seo Hye Jin but his romantic feelings in Little Women were more believable and they were literally non-existent.
I mean the soundtrack was every bit of soft. Bops all the way.
I enjoyed the heated debates on how to teach students rather than treat them as racehorses in a derby. I feel like if I actually knew Korean I would have learned something from this series. However, the plot twists and the sneaky conversations behind closed doors did not create the effect the scenarists were going for, honestly.
The downfall of two women who were behind most of the chaos that carried on throughout the show was a catfight? I've never seen lazier ass writing in my life.
Instead, the only breath of fresh air was the second couple defying gender norms that were heavily cast through the drama and lifting the weight off of the man of the relationship (Choi Seung-gyu) by allowing him to study as long as he wants, granted by the woman of the relationship (Nam Cheong-mi) who declared she was okay to provide financial support.
and last but not least THAT'S HOW HE FUCKING PROPOSED????

One of the things I don't understand about Undercover High school is how one can look at Seo Kang Joon's ethereal eyes which has one of the most beautiful shades of brown I've ever seen and consider him an enemy. If it was me, it would be my hill to die on.
Also I completely understand the way he looks at Jin Ki Joo. One look at her doe eyes and dimples and one listen to her husky voice and I'm worshipping the ground she's walking on.

I mean. Look at them your honour. Power couple ahhh vibes.

── jungkook x you
scenario: you and Jungkook used to be best friend until new female staff came into his workplace, Jieun. He has introduced you to her. Jungkook starts getting busy with his work and often cancel the usual food hunting night with you because he needs to work overtime with Jieun. You know Jieun doesn't like you because she has come to your cafe a few times and told you to stop texting Jungkook during his work hour. when you told him about that, he didn't believe you. Starting that day your friendship is not like it used to be.

— (vi)
(v)
You and Jungkook finally met up at a quiet café you both used to frequent. The moment you walked in and saw him waiting at a table, he stood up, giving you that same warm smile you hadn’t seen in weeks.
"Y/N," he greeted, "It’s so good to see you."
"Hey...," you said casually as you slid into the seat across from him.
"How was the trip?" he asked.
"It was good," you said, keeping your tone light.
Jungkook smiled then glancing down at the table as if he had more to say but wasn’t sure how to say it.
You noticed his hesitation, but instead of addressing it, you decided to lighten the mood. Pulling out a neatly wrapped package from your bag, you placed it in front of him with a grin.
"Happy belated birthday," you said with a smile.
Jungkook stared at the box, wide-eyed. "Wait, you got me something?"
"Of course I did. Just because I wasn't there doesn’t mean I forgot," you teased lightly. "Go ahead, open it."
When he opened the box, his eyes widened in shock. Inside was the camera lens he had been talking about for months.
"Y/N… this is—this is the lens I wanted," he stammered, lifting it out of the box like it was made of gold. "How did you even—"
"Of course I remembered," you said proudly, crossing your arms with a playful smirk. "I’m the best of the best friends, after all."
Jungkook looked at you, still stunned. "I can’t believe you got this for me. I didn’t even think you were paying attention when I mentioned it."
"Please..." you said, rolling your eyes. You've been ranting about this lens forever. I figured it was about time you had it." You waved it off like it was no big deal.
Jungkook laughed, but his expression softened as he set the lens down and looked at you. "Y/N… I've got to say, I'm sorry. For everything. The group chat, the way I didn't believe you about Jieun...I screwed up. And the fact that you still went out of your way to do something like this for me…"
You held up a hand, cutting him off. "Jungkook, seriously...it's fine. I’m not mad about it, okay? I didn’t take it to heart."
"But I feel like I—"
"Jungkook," you said firmly but with a small smile, "I mean it. Let’s not dwell on the past. What’s done is done. We're good, okay?"
He looks at you as if trying to read your mind.
"Don't look at me like that," you glare at him. "Now, come on. Show me what that fancy lens can do!"
The rest of the afternoon felt easy, like a weight had been lifted. You laughed, shared stories, and teased him like old times. As you left the café that evening, you felt proud of yourself. You’d faced Jungkook, given him his gift, and managed to keep things light and casual.
— — —
Your friendship with Jungkook back to like the old times.
You received an invitation to a formal dance ball hosted by your old college friends. You need to bring a plus one.
You used to go with Jungkook, so he assumed you’d take him. He hates ballroom dance, but it's fun to dance with you.\
"So, what time are we going?” Jungkook asked casually, leaning against the counter at your café.
You blinked at him. “What?”
"The ball," he said with a grin. "Obviously, I'm stuck with you."
You laughed. "Uh… actually, I'm going with Joon."
Jungkook's smile faltered. "Joon? Our Joon?"
"Yep," you said, nodding with a chuckle. "He’s never been to one before, so I thought it'd be fun."
“Oh… cool,” Jungkook said, forcing a smirk. "Yeah, he must be excited."
But it didn't excite him. Since when did you take someone else to events like this?

GOL PARI JOON ! - K. BAKUGO
chapter 01: he's so gorgeous

SYPONOSIS - at U.A, y/n is known as Gol Pari, the untouchable flower fairy. admired by all, wanted by many, but she rejects them all without hesitation. yet, the only one she desires is katsuki bakugo, the one guy who doesn’t care. and y/n isn’t used to being ignored.
CONTENT WARNING - swearing, suggestive jokes, reader is harrassed, bakugo being bakugo, reader fawning over bakugo's biceps
TAGLIST - @windyremedy @kenmacantakemeaway @y4r-3 @raytoebiter @nikisgfff @anything4yoongi @bluejaylo @amenabiii
WORD COUNT - 532
translations: joonam - my life, azizam - my dear, eshgham - my love, pesaram - my boy (i didnt really know how to say this bc my farsi's a bit rusty but..)
previous - masterlist - next

minutes ticked by as y/n impatiently waited in the bathroom, arms crossed, foot tapping against the tile. where the hell was her knight in shining armor?
this wasn’t new—being attractive came with its fair share of annoyances, especially in a hero school. usually, she had her friends around to keep things from escalating, but luck clearly wasn’t on her side tonight.
some guys just had no shame. it was almost comical how the same ones who claimed to "like" her turned into the biggest creeps when rejected. honestly, being a pretty girl was exhausting.
a sharp, familiar voice cut through the air.
"oi, freak. the fuck do you think you're doing lurking outside the girls' bathroom?"
y/n’s shoulders instantly relaxed. bakugo. finally.
the guy outside barely missed a beat. "huh? oh, hey, man! my girl’s in there. just waiting for her to finish up."
liar.
bakugo’s eye twitched. "you’ve got five seconds to beat it. if i ever catch you hovering around here again, i’ll blast your sorry ass to hell. got it?"
his gaze darkened as he recognized the guy—the same idiot who always left y/n chocolates like he was some tragic romantic lead.
a shaky breath. a muttered, "you got it." and just like that, he was gone, scurrying off like a kicked stray.
pathetic.
"hey, brat. you can come out now. he's gone."
the second the words left his mouth, y/n flew the door open, immediately wrapping her arms around him.
"kats! thank you so much. i was starting to think i'd have to sleep in there," she mumbled into his neck, her grip firm as his hands instinctively rested on her hips.
bakugo, caught off guard, stiffened before quickly pushing her off with a grunt, cheeks tinged pink. "tch, whatever. you needa get your fanbase in check, joonam. can’t be the number one hero if the only one i’m saving is you." bakugo teased, saying the nickname mockingly.
y/n grinned, hearing the endearing pet name slip from his mouth. "don't tell me you're getting soft on me, kats. you know how i love my men all hot-headed and mean." she stretched out the word "love," batting her lashes up at him, amusement twinkling in her eyes.
scoffing, bakugo turned on his heel and walked off without another word, but she didn't miss the way his ears burned red.
not that she could even be annoyed at him at his impudent behaviour. how could she, when he looked like that? the black compression tank clung to him like a second skin, every defined muscle practically carved beneath the thin material.
pulling her bottom lip between her teeth, y/n let out a small chuckle, shaking her head before heading back to her dorm.
where, of course, she wasted no time filling the girls in on their little interaction.
"c’mon, jirou, you just don’t get it! who cares if he’s nasty or mean? he’s sooooo gorgeous, i just want to—"
"y/n, i beg you, do not finish that sentence!" jirou groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose. "i can't sit through another rant about how oh-so-sexy his biceps are or, god forbid, what you think his reproductive organ looks like."
y/n smirked. "we all know it sits at a solid 8.4—"
a pillow flew straight into her face.
"SHUT UP!" both mina and jirou screamed in unison, leaving y/n in a giggling fit.

You Get Me | Min Yoongi

Part One
Summary: Y/n is an aspiring singer just trying to finish her album. She'd met with various producers, to varying degrees of failure. So, when her old friend Namjoon recommends the services of his underground producer friend Min Yoongi, Y/n begins working with him and finds herself caring about more than just her album.
I wrapped myself in my own embrace, pulling the ends of my hoodie sleeves fully over my hands in an effort to keep myself warm. It was at the very least 80 degrees outside, too warm for a hoodie one would say. But in Yoongi’s studio, it felt as if it was in the single digits.
I thought back to what he had told me when we had first met. “It’s to keep the equipment cool.” He had explained the first time I stepped foot into his sanctuary. I had become well acquainted with the freezing temperature in that studio over the three months I had worked with Yoongi. At first it was all professional, but slowly something changed. As the album neared completion, we’d find ways to delay finishing it. We needed to re-record finished songs, rewrite perfectly fine lyrics, or demos and their backups would somehow disappear off of the computer which would make us start from scratch. Eventually, the excuses ran dry and I found myself spending nights in his bed instead of his studio. And to think that if Namjoon had never recommended me, Yoongi wouldn’t have come into my life.
I had bumped into Namjoon at my neighborhood bookstore. We made the rounds of small talk, eventually asking about each other’s recent whereabouts and job prospects. “Actually, I have all of these demos of these songs I’ve been trying to turn into a full fledged album.” I awkwardly mentioned. For some reason, being able to say I was making an album was hard to believe and seemed too far-fetched at times. I didn’t believe in myself and because of that I assumed others didn’t either.
“Y/n, that’s great. I knew you’d get around to it.” Namjoon congratulated me, nudging my arm with his fist. “Who are you working with, or are you going the independent route?” I glanced up at the ceiling, debating on if I should tell him the full story of my struggle to find a good producer.
“I might have to go independent, which means the album is going to sound like shit…” I sighed.
“What do you mean? You can’t find anyone.” Namjoon questioned, leaning against the end of the bookshelf. Ironically, we were situated in the self-help section.
“It’s not that I can’t find a producer. There’s plenty of shitty producers. The issue is that no one gets my vision. This album is my baby, my passion project and I get it. I'm no celebrity but that;s not why I’m making this album, it’s just for me. To prove that I can put my energy into a cohesive body of work, you know?” I ranted. Namjoon shook his head, seemingly lost in thought. I assumed he didn’t care and started to mentally plot my escape out of this now awkward run in with an old friend.
“Y/n, I think I know somebody who could help you out. I think the two of you would hit it off…professionally speaking.” He created himself, clearing his throat as he pulled out his phone. “His name is Yoongi. He produces for small artists, but he’s pretty selective about who he works with. He used to work at a record label but he quit and now he does his own thing. He has a studio and everything so it’s a legit set up. I’ll give you his number, unless you want me to reach out and mention you instead?” He glanced up at me, pausing his frantic swiping and typing on his phone.
“What do you suggest?” I questioned desperately. I felt as if the mention of this Yoongi guy was a last ditch effort to get this album made and I didn’t want to mess anything up.
“How about I give him a call for you, tell him about your situation and from there, if he’s interested, he’ll contact you on his own?” I eagerly nodded in agreement, giving Namjoon a thankful hug.
“Joon, why don’t you just produce my album instead, you still do music right?” I pleaded. Having Namjoon produce my music would be much more comfortable. He had been one of the first people to encourage me to take singing more seriously, not just use my voice solely for karaoke.
“No can do. I quit music once I got my masters, now I teach at a university.”
I giggled, remembering Namjoon crunching the numbers and decided on making a career switch so he could afford his rent for once.
“Oh right, I forgot, now you’re a professor.” I teased.
“Almost a professor, still have a few more years before I can officially teach on my own.” He interjected. “Anyways, I’ll call Yoongi tonight, but I definitely think he’d be interested in working with you.”
By the next morning, I noticed a voicemail from a number I didn’t recognize. I must’ve missed the call while I was in the shower, I thought to myself as I played back the message.
Hi, this is Yoongi calling for Y/n, Namjoon recommended you and said you’re looking for a producer? If you’re interested in meeting up to discuss your album, give me a call back.
My heart raced, a mix of pure excitement and nerves rattled my system. Everything felt so real all of a sudden. Maybe this guy will really help me finish this album? I thought. All I want is for someone to see the same vision as me and I was really hoping Namjoon was right for recommending Yoongi.
I immediately called him back and scheduled to meet at a coffee shop, eager to get dressed and head out of the door, yet nervous to meet this mysterious producer face to face.
I had been in contact with many producers over the past year, some of which either ghosted me before we even had a chance to talk in person, others who creeped me out or simply had too different of a vision than mine. I was hoping Yoongi would be the last one I would have to meet. I made it to the coffee shop early, assuming I had beat him to it. As I walked inside the little bell above the door going off, signaling another customer, I realized I had an issue. I had no idea who this Yoongi guy was, and more specifically I never got a physical description of him, Yoongi also never got a description of me. Just in case Yoongi had arrived even earlier than me, I scanned the shop, looking for a man sitting alone, hoping that he would see me and call me over.
I wasn’t sure if I should wait to order a coffee without him, so instead I grabbed a table in the middle of the room, glancing at the time on my phone as I began to wait for him. It was exactly a minute later when I felt a tap on my shoulder which caused me to turn around and look at the stranger. “Hi, are you Y/n? I saw you walk in and sit, you looked like you were waiting for somebody so I assumed it was you…I’m Yoongi.” He had an expressionless face. He wore a pair of very baggy ripped jeans and a long sleeved black shirt, his black hair was a little grown out and contrasted well with how pale he appeared to be. I hated to be unprofessional, but the first thought that appeared in my mind was that I found him to be incredibly attractive.
I stood up, giving him a friendly wave. “Yes, yes, that’s me. It’s nice to finally meet you since Namjoon really hyped you up.” I joked, to which he just nodded. A small, barely there smile was painted on his lips. It seemed like he was trying to keep up the stone cold appearance, which made him even more intriguing. He handed me a small coffee, which surprised me.
“I hope you don’t mind that I ordered for you…” I shook my head adamantly, taking a sip of the coffee to show my appreciation.
“Oh, not at all, I actually thought of doing the same thing if I got here first.”
I had honestly assumed I was early, but I guess he did in fact beat me to it.
“I know you showed up early, but I wanted to get here first so I could order, but I like the fact you tried to beat me here. It lets me know that you’re pretty serious about this.” We then proceeded to spend the next hour or so talking about the album. I had explained all of my troubles so far, trying to find the right person to see the potential in this album. He had sat across from me at the table, just silently absorbing everything I was saying.
“I noticed you brought your laptop, do you have any demos on there?” He asked, glancing down at my bag.
“Yeah, I have a whole folder with demos on my laptop.” I explained, reaching down into the bag and pulling out the laptop in question. “Do you want to hear a specific song or should I just play something random?” I asked, looking at the screen as I scrolled through the folder.
“Play the song you feel the strongest connection towards.” He responded, crossing his arms and leaning back in his chair. I moved the laptop across the table and closer to him, and hit play on my favorite demo. It was a song about rejection, something I had written a few years ago but continued to go back and rewrite every time someone passed on the album. It was a sad song, but it was the song that closely resembled my struggles.
He closed his eyes as he listened, meanwhile I couldn’t help but fixate on him. His body language, the way his eyebrows scrunched together, his head nodding along with the strumming of the guitar in the demo. When the song finally finished, he opened his eyes and leaned forward, looking straight into my eyes. “Can you be at my studio tomorrow night?” I gasped, covering my mouth with my hand.
“Really? You’ll work with me?” I asked excitedly. He smiled again, sliding the computer back across the table.
“I’ll send you the address. See you tomorrow night at 9pm.”
Yoongi had explained to me during that very first studio session that he got his best work done at night. As somewhat of a night owl myself, I understood where he was coming from. I remember just how frigid it had felt in his studio that very first day. The cold air nipped at my exposed skin, which made me wrap my arms around my body in an effort to stay warm. Yoongi took note of this, and offered me a spare hoodie he kept in his studio.
“It completely blanked me to tell you about the temperature here, I’m sorry.” He apologized, handing me the spare hoodie. “It’s to keep the equipment cool.”
“Oh, it’s okay, I’ll just remember to bring a jacket next time.” I responded back, taking a seat in the chair next to his. He booted up his computer and turned on some of his audio equipment. Again, I found myself content with just looking at him, watching him work.
“So, why wasn’t any other producer a good fit?” He asked, swiveling his chair to face my direction.
I sighed, trying to find the words. “Other people I’ve tried to work with always end up hijacking the project. Then I feel like it’s not my own music, it’s as if someone else took it over and it leaves me feeling like I don’t own it anymore.” He hummed in agreement.
“I get it. I used to work at a record label and typically, I had to work with a group of other producers when working on a song. Everytime I had an idea or a vision for a song, someone else would find a way to take it over and I felt like I made no contribution. The songs never had my signature touch, someone else always found a way to take over the song. It was never fair which was why I ended up leaving and going independent.”
“You don’t regret it right?” I asked curiously.
“Regret what? Leaving? Not at all, it was the best thing I ever did.” He responded, gesturing to all of the equipment in front of him. “I don’t work with celebrities anymore, but I enjoy working with genuine musicians who have an obvious passion. When I worked at the record label, you would always see a huge difference in an artist when they were recording their first and second albums. They always acted giddy and asked tons of questions while recording the first album. If the first one sold well and they got the chance to record a second one, it was almost as if the passion drained out of them. That’s why I like working with people who stay under the radar.” It all started to make sense to me. Why he chose to stay so quiet, only working with people who seeked him out themselves or got recommended to him.
“What if someone hears an album you produced and wants to sign someone?” I questioned.
“I mean, it’s their album so they can do as they please. But I don’t produce these bodies of work with the intention of getting someone signed. I don’t promote anything I do.”
“So how do you make money if these albums don’t bring in attention?” I found myself following up. Everything he said made me more and more curious.
“I work as a DJ at a radio station during the day. That’s also why I scheduled this at night.” He responded back, still typing and clicking away at his computer.
“Wow, you’re just full of surprises.” I laughed, watching him open up all of his programs needed for the session.
“Art has become too greedy, I just try to keep it simple, that’s all.” He shrugged, motioning with his hand for me to give him my laptop. That night we got two songs done. I left the next morning wanting to know even more about him. I knew I should’ve been thinking about the album, but I couldn’t help myself. The first month flew by fast, and we progressed halfway through the album. Sometimes we'd spend a majority of the night just talking, not getting much work done. I never minded it though and find myself having fun with him. We rarely spoke on the days we didn't work together, but I found it disappointing every time I got a text from him reading that he was sorry for talking so much, and that he found it unprofessional. Every time I assumed I had broken down a wall, he seemed to put it back up, always saying he needed to be more professional despite my lack of protest. I needed to put my feeling aside and just focus on the album. Another month and it should be a wrap, right?
{A/N: In honor of Yoongi's upcoming discharge date, I wanted to write a Yoongi fanfic. It was intended to be one singular fic, but I've decided to break it up into three parts. Second part might be smutty, idk...Okay, anyways, have a great day or night, I love you and mwahhhh💋💋💋💋💋💋💋}
