Cinema:

~Maya starts an argument in the middle of the movie about what will happen next and how it will end, Josh tries to warn her, but people end up yelling at him and throwing food at him to make him shut up(She'll end up complaining about this, then they'll both laugh)

~When leaving the cinema they will eat whatever comes their way

Concerts:

~Maya will make them something related to the band(s) they are going to see, whether it be a bracelet, a pin, a ribbon, or a kerchief

~Josh will carry her on his shoulders so she can see

Park:

~They fed the ducks,Or they'll give Ginger a little spin and pet other people's pets.

~Maya will draw everything she finds interesting, Josh will advise her to draw people for 5 dollars, it will be fine for her.

~They will take advantage to make the market

Amusement park

~They will save enough to go to all the games, literally all of them, that's why they don't go very often, but it's part of their goal list to go 3 times a year

~Many photos will be taken

~They will give away what they get in the games

It's been months since Maya and Art started to become friends, and things have been building.

They were in his car when her favorite song came on. Her little southern accent came out as she started singing. He glanced at her as he drove that small smirk on his lips as he watched her sing.

"You look like you want me to want you to come on home"

Her hands hit her leg as she tapped to the beat. Art couldn't help but blush hearing her sing. She had a beautiful voice and he loved it. Especially when her accent came out.

They were at a stop light when she did a little dance in the seat. She glanced at him every now and then. Her hair fell around her softly as she moved. Art smiled, watching her feeling his heart fill with so much warmth.

"And baby, I don't blame you for looking me up and down across this room"

She leaned over, singing to him. It was her favorite thing to do. Yes, they were friends, but her singing this song meant other things to her.

She laughed lightly with art as they made eye contact. The light turns green, letting him keep driving. His ears still filled with her soft voice, and her little twang could still be heard.

"And you think to yourself, I could use some of that"

She let her eyes linger on art as he drove a soft smile on her lips, and she took his features in.

The song ended and she turned the volume back down. "Wow, beautiful beautiful" Art chuckled with a smile.

"What can I say it's a good song," she said with a shrug and a proud smile.

Art glanced at her as she looked out the window "yeah it is"

Art thought of the lyrics that lingered in his head....what he though of her....

"When then cute little country girl caught my eye....she was the prettiest thing I'd ever seen in a pair of boots"

He did a quick glance at her seeing her boots on. The lyrics fit a little too well, which makes his heart melt. How he wished he could reach out for her and tell her all his love for her.

While Maya looked out the window, smiling to herself as she in a way sang her heart to art without telling him directly. She was okay with that for the moment but didn't know how much longer she could last as 'just friends'

i really need to do a girl meets world rewatch so badly it's been years but idk where to watch ugh back when I watched I was against lucaya and 100℅ rucas/joshaya/riarkle but after watching clips and stuff I think I might ship lucaya now like I'd have to rewatch to know 100℅ but I'm older now and I've changed my opinions on so many ships the last two years!! I just discussed not liking l/m a little bit ago with two mutuals but that's based on my opinions from like 2017 when the show ended but no matter if I ship lucaya now or not, nothing will surpass my love for rucas/joshaya/riarkle!! or rilaya for that matter!! I know this isn't important but yeah lol I might reblog some gmw here soon because I miss it and wish it didn't get cancelled!!

"DC Pride" Returns in 2025 with New Format

DC Comics is changing up the format of DC Pride for the special's 5th anniversary. In past years DC Pride was an anthology series spotlighting LGBTQIA+ heroes, but in 2025 the special will instead feature a "singular story arc of interweaving narratives." These narratives are framed by an Alan Scott story from Tim Sheridan, Emilio Pilliu, and Giulio Macaione.

Several of DC comics' heroes will come together when "a century-old tavern, the center of queer life in Gotham City, unexpectedly announces its imminent closure. It’s a huge loss to the community, and generations of patrons return to pay respects to a space they’ve endowed with entire lifetimes of memories, wishes and dreams—including Alan Scott, the Green Lantern. Alan returns, for one last time, to the place he fell for his first love, Johnny Ladd, to touch the wall on which they carved the symbol of their love, to remember the days before everything went to hell for them...and to say goodbye.

Alright, I may get shot down completely for this but I think most of the Girl Meets World fans COMPLETELY MISUNDERSTAND the love triangle.

Now I know that sounds like an exaggeration but trust me with all the posts I've seen about it, it very much is not.

All of the people saying lucaya should've been endgame are 100% missing how the love triangle happened and even the end results, which were that Maya and Lucas didn't even like each other in that way.

The entire triangle stems from Maya's identity crisis where she loses herself and becomes more like Riley, and when she becomes like Riley she starts to experience Riley's feelings for Lucas to make sure he's good for her. And because she's becoming like Riley and also Riley saying her and Lucas are "siblings" (they are not), Lucas starts liking Maya as well.

The whole resolution to the triangle is Maya refinding herself and realizing that she never liked Lucas romantically, and Lucas realizing that he likes Riley, always has and always will, and he only liked Maya because she was Riley at the time.

And at the end of the day it doesn't even matter, because the real point was to show that no matter what they go through, Riley and Maya are still best friends and will always be best friends and will always be there for each other.

Also I feel like I should mention how Josh fits into this because that is also a thing that people get wrong. Josh isn't the bad guy in this situation, and Maya isn't wrong to like him. Three years isn't a very big age gap, especially when Maya is much more mature than her age would typically be. And Josh isn't a groomer for saying he'll wait, either. I know some people have big issues with that, but to me it's a really sweet and smart way to go about things and not any kind of evil or irredeemable action.

(For the record, I'm not anti- any of the ships here. I'm not anti-lucaya, anti-joshaya, anti-rucas, or even anti-riarkle. I don't care what you ship, I just want people to understand this story and why things ended up how they did in regards to these ships and characters)

Okay, idk if the Girl Meets World fandom is still very active, but my friend's friend and I just got into a debate about Joshaya and I would like to give my two cents.

There is nothing predatorial about Joshaya. It's a three-year age gap. Throughout Riley and Maya's middle school years Josh actively rejects Maya's advances stating their ages. That being said, she's older than her peers and it's safe to assume he's actually younger than his (If their birthdays fall the way I'm assuming they do based off what Maya says about there being six weeks of the year that they're two years apart he's most likely on the younger side of the people he's in school with).

That being said, just because Josh admitted to having feelings for Maya does not mean he's a predator. When he admits his feelings, its safe to assume that they are 15 and 17 (with Josh nearing 18 in a few weeks) based off the comment Maya makes. They are extremely close in age, and at this point, Josh has barely even started his first semester of college.

The crush started out as a young girl having a crush on the handsome older family member of her best friend, which is something I'm sure a lot of young girls could relate to (my parents love to bring up the fact that at the age of 5 I was convinced I'd marry my old babysitter's 13 year old son), but it essentially grew to be something more. Josh admitting that as they grew closer his feelings changed doesn't mean anything predatory.

In the episode Girl Meets the Telltale Tot, Maya is 14 and Josh is 17 as stated in the episode. At the end, when Maya says she made the decision to tell Cory and Topanga they snuck out, Josh told her he needs to stop thinking of her as a little kid. During this episode Maya shows some vulnerability and just how much she truly cares about Josh, which is when he most likely begins to re-evaluate his feelings for her and how he sees her.

Him admitting that he likes her back isn't predatorial, as at this point, we can assume he's not actually an adult until later on. He also didn't say they should seek something out right that second. He told her to live her life and have experiences of her own, something her doubled down on in the episode Girl Meets Bear when talking to Zay.

I'm 18 years old, and I like a guy who's 24 irl. I've known him since we were 16 and 22. I ended up telling him how I felt on accident (it just kind of slipped) and we had a talk about it. He told me that I only just started my adult life, and that I will grow and change a lot as a person, so I should have a few experiences of my own first. When I grow a little more and figure out who I am and get the hang of life, then we can see about a possible relationship. That's essentially what Maya and Josh agreed. Live life, have experiences, grow as a person, and know that they will have each other for when the time is right.

Josh isn't a predator. It would be like if Maya developed a crush on Thor (He was in the first two episodes of season 3)

But that's just my two cents.

So I love Joshaya just as much as the next person, but Josh telling Maya that her feeling for Lucas aren't really her feelings pisses me off.

Like every person got the chance to grow, and embrace the changes that came with it and that's fine, but the second Maya starts getting good grades or starts liking Lucas, her feelings aren't hers. She is just trying to feel how Riley does? That's just bullshit.

Josh was always like " I'm too old for you', so maybe Maya decided to like someone who she thought she genuinely had a shot with. Maybe she really did like Lucas, or maybe she didn't, I just don't think anyone in the show had the right to tell her that she just has these feelings because she is trying to be Riley.

The whole show, everyone around her tells her to stop dreaming about Josh, to stop getting in trouble and to care about school, get good grades, to have hope. But the second she does, the same people turn around and say that she is just being Riley, it just sucks.

And I think that over the coarse of the show, Maya had matured enough to know and understand her feelings, without needing anyone to tell her that she is feeling what she is just because she wants to protect Riley.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't want her to end up with Lucas anyway, and Joshaya is my endgame, but still, I just feel like they could have done it in any way other than undermining her feelings by claiming they aren't hers.

Maya and Art first study session/meeting

Art looked over in the library, seeing a familiar pale face, a girl from his math class sitting with her head in her hands, seeming frustrated and angry. He slowly walked up to her nervously. "Hey, excuse me?" His voice soft and raspy from the hours of studying.

She looks up seeing the blonde boy. He wore a standford hoodie with tennis team written under it and black shorts. "Hi?" She says, wondering what he needed.

"I saw you were struggling, and well, I'm in the same class as you. I've seen you in there before and thought I could offer you help, " he stammered over his words, his nerves getting the best of him.

Maya smiles, leaning onto the table more than before, her red hair falling onto the desk due to its length. "How do you know I was struggling with math. I could've been struggling with something else, " she says, wanting to mess with him. Art didn't know how to respond, now feeling like he was being a creep. He rubbed the back of his neck for a second, finding words before she spoke up again. "I'm kidding. It is math," she pauses, smiling and watching as he smiles himself. "I would love your help." Her voice is so soft and sweet like a sugary snack late at night.

Art chuckled at her comment, then pulled the seat out that was in front of her. "Great," pausing for a moment to get his things back out. "I'm Art, by the way." he reaches out a hand. She smiles, taking his "I know." she has a soft smirk on her lips. Making him blush.

"I'm Maya," her voice playful and still smooth. Art returns her playful smirk. "I know." they share a look before Art gets pulled back to reality, reaching for his notebook he spoke up. "So where do you need my help?" She smiles, looks down, flips through her notebook.
