Harvestfest was a flurry of picture taking, as usual, and so the immediate reaction of everyone in the neighbourhood is to chronicle the events on SimBook. Claire just HAD to let the world know that her children have given her 16 grandchildren under the age of 10 and that there are three more on the way - including twins as confirmed in the comments by her daughter-in-law's (Madison) mother. More comments left by other people were:

"Aren't grandchildren just the best? Wishing you and the family well, Valentina mentioned a trip this way soon, so Lord willing we meet again ." - Cassie Townsend (Valentina's MIL)

"Love this! We also had all the kids come over for Harvestfest, we had two pregnancy announcements so now the count is 20 grandchildren!" - Shelly Osbourne (An old friend of Claire's, in true fashion she's taking every opportunity to brag on her grandchildren)

"I think I speak for everyone when I say that all of your grandkids adore you too! The photoshoot was chaotic but the end result is a beautiful memory!" - Madelynn Paulson (Claire's first daughter-in-law, daughter of the Stacey Robert who liked the picture)

Day 265c: Saturday September 21, 2024 - "Take Me Out To The Ball Game"

I was motivated to not let this fun baseball season get into the books without updating my Bucket List Boneyard to be back in line with "visit all the MLB Stadiums". - I didnt need to carry the "all but one" moniker into another offseason. It was the Covid Year when this gem was built, and while the old Choctaw Stadium wasnt all that bad when I was there ten years ago, once inside I understood the upgrade - a retractable roof for those hot texas day games and built with a feel of a lot of seats right on top of the field. And the place was full and vibing tonight with the Mariners in town. I bought out the 3rd row in Section 314 for all of Spencer's kids and Grammee and had a grand old time answering a million why questions for this clan whose first sport is futbol. Everyone settled and the game rolling, I cut away for a 5th inning food stroll, and my chance to take in the whole stadium. And I efficiently explored it all while keeping an eye on the scoreboard (a Mariners lost would be helpful to the Tigers playoff chances).

I found the famed Boomstick and stood in the line that led right past a window of the feets long hot dog and piled on toppings. I got intimidated and though I had invested all that time for my big MLB ballpark moment, I thought about how I would feel tomorrow on the plane and bowed out. When William gets bigger and bigger I told myself. I'll definitely need some support for that one.

The place is beautiful and well settled up. It feels like a Texas Stadium. They even had the Six Shooter dancing girls. Whats not to love. Even though the Mariners won, there was plenty to cheer and talk about with over 25 hits and even a leadoff homerun by JRod. We all moseyed our way out, ice cream collectible helmets in tow feeling really good about a fun time at the ballpark. Globe Life is definitely one of the best ballparks in baseball. "How Do you know?" "Because Ive been to them all." Even if I didnt eat a boomstick.

And while I roll back up my own Bucket List Boneyard, William will now have his own headstart with ballgames in 11 Stadiums (Red Sox, Tigers, Brewers, Cardinals, Padres, Diamondbacks, Rangers, Twins, Athletics, Angels, and Dodgers). I really think this one will be memorable though - not just for the ice cream in the helmet, or for the frightful tumble into row 2; but because it was spent with family, a lot of happy family. Having a good time together. Nothing better than baseball for that.

I personally think the difference between JRod and Kelly is that Kelly was actually friends with the parents whereas JRod just showed up at the funeral.

Oh absolutely. My comparison between the two was limited to the coffin picture. I just feel that that particular photo was in poor taste. The rest were fine, especially since the family was well aware of the fact the pictures were taken. And it’s not like Kelly live streamed the funeral while she hollering amens like a fucking football game. Jrod has no class whatsoever where as Kelly seems to genuinely care about people.

This wasn’t unique. Kelly responded to several people like this. I know the Bateses have their problems, but I do believe they are kind hearted people and think of others moreso than anyone else (like the duggars and especially the rodriguii).

NAC: I know JRod for the Lord jokes about Nurie but do you think JB and Michelle would set it up? I do but I think with john david as the age difference would mean control. What do you think?

Eh, I still believe that Jim Bob and Michelle are well connected enough that if they perceived an issue with the older twins being unmarried, they would’ve already married them off. I think as long as they’re married by 30, JB wouldn’t intervene with just any sad young fundie maiden for John David. Although Jeremy and Austin have been quite a bit older than their wives, I think the Duggars would want John David to have a wife with a bit more maturity than Nurie. But that’s just speculation.-R

Am I the only one waiting for a Duggar or Bates couple to announce a twin pregnancy, I'd even take Jrod at this point but, she'd probably never shut up about being "Twice Blessed" or something like that. Actually I take that back, I'd love for one of the Rodrigues kids to have twins (preferably a daughter Jill doesn't like) because that would just piss her off

We have EXCITING news!!!! Many of you know that sweet Madi was helping a young widower with TWO children from our church. Well, Bryce approached Carson a few days ago and said he noticed her GODLY countenance, COMMITMENT to serving the LORD and HEART for children, and his children needed a mother like that, so could he PROPOSE to Madi?!?!?! 

Tonight he took Madi for a romantic WALK in the town plaza, and PROPOSED! Of course she said YES. She was very surprised because he had never courted her, but he explained that his children needed a MOTHER. Of course, she will have her OWN children one day (my grandchildren!) but she will be a good mother to Bryce’s two girls!

I was SO worried Madi would be single forever. PRAISE the LORD she found such a Godly headship to lead her! Because Bryce needs a wife SOON, the wedding will be in THREE WEEKS! 

To add to this SPECIAL day, I’m EXPECTING again! ANOTHER SET OF TWINS!! What a precious MIRACLE! Our prayers have been answered again! I have been very TIRED this pregnancy and I’m only just starting my second trimester! Please PRAY for us for two healthy blessings!

(AN; I always wondered what would happen if one of the fundie wives died young and left children behind - looking at you Jessa and your disastrous homebirths, please get proper medical care next time! - and this is my best guess at how that would play out. It feels so icky to try and think like Jrod/Gracie in this circumstance :P )
