hi!! i’ve been planning to learn some japanese and do you mind if i ask how long did it take you to learn japanese?

that’s hard to answer for three reasons

I started learning passively in middle school with just the alphabets first, then stopped for a long time

You’ve never really “learned” a language that isn’t native to you, I think. You’re always still learning, even if it’s just about local differences and slang! I became conversational after probably my first 6 months in Japan, but really just I’d call it survival Japanese. I couldn’t have deep convos with anyone.

I live in Japan which makes it sooo much easier than someone not living around the language

but I still feel like a baby!

Headcanons about Bakugou Katsuki :

-Since his quirk is very loud, he is hard of hearing or totally deaf and prefer to talk in JSL (Japanese Sign Language).

-He prefers animal over human.

-His mother is abusive and he does not have a great relation with his father.

-He is autistic.

-He is very gay but stays in the closet and Kirishima is his boyfriend.

-His love language is cooking for the ones he loves.

-Kirishima and him likes to do mountain climbing together.

-He loves the Baku Squad but will never tell this out loud.

-When he is sad, he takes a nap.

-He likes reading book, he is a bookworm but it is a secret.

-On one hand he has a very good memory and he sees little details, on the other hand he has face blindness so he does not remember the name of everyone. Plus he even with hearing aid, he cannot hear very well so it is another minus with people's name.

-He hates candies.

-He likes drawing but no one knows.

-His favourite colour is not orange but yellow, if his hero suit is orange only because yellow would have been weird with his blond hair.

-Cats over dogs, he actually has a cat.

-His hand writing is almost unreadable, and he can write with both hands.

-He is very flexible.

-He is a brat bottom.

-He has agoraphobia.

-He is lactose intolerant.

This is a short one, but I want to just talk on idea here.

Zelda has been called by many a insert that’s helped many people discover themselves through them even though he is an established character

But I feel his mutism is ignored because honestly and this if form my experience with mutism people think you can only have it if you are deaf or nonverbal autistic which not true btw selective mutism doesn’t technically have a direct connection to autism.

Phobias, ptsd, psychosis can cause mutism but so can complicated neurological multi system illnesses like mine. My m.e gives me mutism through literal exhaustion making me unable to speak it can happen so often and mid crashes I have learned bsl as a necessity and when I finally played tear of the kingdom I realised how much I saw this part of me in link and it made me happy

In studying more countries sign languages and yes hyrulian feels peak jsl

One hand and you learn kana, and with even stronger slang accents inflictions then even bsl

So I felt its perfect

Little clarification i cant promise this is perfect for most I had to use kana finer spelling

And hey listen in literally translated as hi noisy!

And Zelda is the katakana zeruda

And pot is hachi

However, most of the characters wouldn't know ASL, nor JSL, but I have a couple of character I think would know at least a form of sign language.

Italy: He know every language, so any sign language wouldn't be off the mark.

L: He is a genius detective

Saiki: This one is kind of a stretch but I wouldn't be surprised if he did.

Senku: Same with Saiki and L since he knows English, him learning sign language isn't too much to believe.

Does anyone who speaks Japanese know what's being said during 1:02-1:15, 1:51-2:12, and 3:06-3:59? I specifically want the kanji or romaji, because I would love to include this in a compilation of sign language being incorporated into musicals, but I would need to caption it, and I don't know Japanese. Any help would be much appreciated!
