X-Men '97 S1E8 "Tolerance is Extinction, Pt. 1"

Each week I'm blown away with this show. Tremendous episode that does a lot of leg work to explain the backstory of Bastion, while also balancing other storylines going on, like Sunspot coming out as a mutant to his mom or Cable's distrust for Cyclops for abandoning him. Yet again, this show does a great job of utilizing everyone's mutant powers to their fullest, like Magneto near the end of the episode. I'm very curious how this three-parter will continue next week!

I was chatting with Kitty, and I wondered who really paid for the Jubliee as I saw reports it came from private funding.

I’m kind of hoping Leah Williams addresses why Jono and Jubilee broke up in “Generation X”….

It still annoys me that Rosenberg turned Chamber into an ass in his x-men run and wrote him being resentful of taking care of Shogo…. 😒

Although I have a feeling Leah will finally make Laura/Jubilee a canon couple in this mini after the Liu hints; It’s not that I MIND Jub/Laura necessarily… (although I am still resentful Liu had to ruin Julian to make it canon 😒), but I would much rather honestly see Laura with Sooraya, Kiden, Cessily, or Hellion again…. And Jubilee I would prefer be with Chamber, Synch, or even Monet…

Still…I guess it’s probably better than Laura being a chronic prop for writers pushing a certain character…
