They genuinely, so very badly need to use the song Jumpstarted by Jukebox the Ghost for when Buddie goes canon. Not for like, the initial confession or kiss scenes, but like, at some point. I was rewatching the montage of the relationship between the old gay men in 'Buck, Actually' and I was just like, there needs to be some happy little montage thing for Buddie to this song. Maybe while getting ready for their first real date, or save it for the first morning after Buck moves in or something but it needs to be used, like, yesterday.

I've been trying to find Buddie edits to the song and have yet to find a single one and I'm so shocked because Buck's conversation with one of the husbands in that episode is usually used as such a formative part of Buddie stuff and Buck's bisexual journey.

i think we need to understand the gravity of how quickly Percy blames himself and his disabilities for the way his world is. how he's been made to believe over years and years that he's weird, that there's something wrong with him. If you are a woman, woman-passing, or afab, and a repulsed ace (or assumed that way, or sexually abstanant for any reason) then you have definitely and inevitably gotten the "you'll love sex if you tried it" or "you just haven't found the right dick yet" by some random straight guy and I'm telling you right now

The best response is not educating them for real. They don't care. They won't care.

What you do is ask them how they know they're straight if they've never given getting dicked down a chance.

This will upset them, and they will try to fight back. But don't participate. Because they know you're right. Deep down, they know. And that upsets them so deeply. Meanwhile, they know that the more they react, the more suspicious it is.

If someone is going to be a bigot, the best thing you can do for them is make it wildly uncomfortable in their own bigotry.

If someone feels that they have a right to talk about you sexually without your consent, the best thing you can do is make it clear that you will return the favour.

Weaponize it against them.
