Went to magfest earlier this year and actually made this post afterwards to post about it. Finally did one of my dream cosplays. It's still not finished and unfortunately it was way too warm in the convention center to keep the jean jacket on, but I don't mind since it wasn't finished yet. It's wearable, but I'd say is only still 50% finished. But I can cross this off my list.
I made the hammer with the help of my husband and multiple online guides that are like 10+ years old.
Spare the Spirograph patch which I purchased from CraftyCrowShoppe on Etsy. (I wasn't gonna try and paint that lol.) I drew and painted all the patches myself.
I ordered the shirt through Tapoco.
I did try making the hood myself but I wasn't happy with the finished product and I ordered one through ForestSap on Etsy. It was a perfect fit and was light weight enough not to choke me when the hood was down. However the hood needs to be down far enough to blind you to stay on your head so keep that for when you're taking photos and not walking around. I'm considering ordering one for a trickster version but mayhap another time!
While the only thing I would fix is the wig, Im not good at styling wigs and struggle getting them to work. So maybe when I know someone who can style wigs, I can finally fix that.
Overall I am very happy with the final product! I decided to finish this post for 4/13 cause I'm very happy with it, especially the hammer since I had to make it under crunch time and experimented a lot. It got tense towards the end but I'm still so happy with it! Happy Homestuck day!

My Noel cosplay for my first con I went to yesterday!! I was a little sad I saw no other fighting game cosplays but two people stopped me for a photo which was cool:)
I did see a whole lot of other cool cosplays tho, my favourites I saw being Sun Wukong, Misa Amane and a Zack & Aerith
Also clumsy in character as Noel I dropped a fully sauce covered chip on my dress rip. I managed to clean it pretty well tho
#Went with my sister and we were there for about 4 hours she said she was glad I got her to go to something she wouldn't usually becauseshe'd#be too nervous#they also had a Toriyama tribute wall you could draw or write a message on which was cool#Didn't see any db cosplays sad only people wearing db shirts#Also surprised I found like 1 ggst thing in the stalls#I was looking into the comic con for this year just now bc it has actual big guests and the only name I recognised was robbie daymond lol#maybe it'd be fun to go to that too it's in june
