he doesn't use any labels, he likes what he likes (which just happens to be more boys)

he'd still be somewhere in the demi-spectrum. needs a lot of time to get used to the feelings

he's also very in denial. not only when it comes to boys. it will take him a while to realize he likes someone, then some more time to admit it to himself and then even longer to admit it to the other person

Rensuke Kunigami

very closeted though, he's doesn't want to come out if it's not necessary (and that's okay!!)

his older sister was the first to know though. Kunigami really wanted her to be the first to know

The further we get into this arc, the more I'm side-eyeing the fact that Chigiri, Reo, Nagi, and the older Wanima are all on the same team. We don't know a lot about Wanima, so it's hard to say if another team would suit him better (personally, I would make a case for Ubers), but I've been wondering if him being on Manshine is a coincidence for a while. He's a character who could easily have been disqualified off-screen in the Second Selection, which suggests that the story isn't quite done with him just yet.

The reason I bring it up now is what's happening with the team dynamic over on Manshine. Nagi and Reo have revived their codependency issues (affectionate), which contrasts them with Chigiri, who's generally very independent (both in the good way and to a fault). The recent changes in rankings also emphasise the contrast between Reo and Nagi's one miracle shot vs Chigiri being consistent across more than one game.

So what does Wanima have to do with this?

This situation, superficially at least, looks very similar to what happens with Chigiri and the Wanima brothers pre-Blue Lock:

Manshine have been building their team around Nagi. Pre-Blue Lock, the backstory team was initially built around the Wanima brothers.

The Wanima brothers played as a unit (presumably the older one, at least, was also capable of playing on his own), and Nagi and Reo are also currently playing as a unit.

Once again, Chigiri's on a team where the only characters of note are an established unit and him.

Obviously the rankings are changing all the time (and rankings don't really mean all that much in Blue Lock - even when Ego isn't making them up entirely, they'll be completely different by the next arc!), but for now at least Chigiri's just moved ahead of Nagi and Reo on the leaderboard. The whole reason Chigiri and the Wanimas come into conflict in the first place is that Chigiri is able to challenge them and prove that he's the better player (and then he's really arrogant about it, but I digress).

Also worth noting: Wanima's first notable appearance since the end of the Second Selection is in the recent chapter where we also happen to get the new rankings following BM VS Ubers.

Raichi is very shy about kissing first. He's scared he might do it wrong so he's very careful

after doing his first careful steps, he does start biting tho. Can't have sharp teeth like this and then not bite

Barou Shoei:

a bit hesitant about kissing at firts. I think as a kid, he would be that guy to gag whenever he saw others kissing

yet, his sisters always received forehead kisses when they head to bed

he's nervous during his first real kiss and it took a lot of convincing himself to do it but he does end up liking it

he's very gentle and careful, also always cupping the chin or cheek of his partner

his partner also gets a lot of forehead kisses now

Wanima Junichi:

he's not sure how to properly do it at first. his partner has to teach him

his kisses are always very random. They come out of nowhere

no leaving the house without kisses, he will get pouty

Kunigami Rensuke:
