2023 wasn't my most abundant year in terms of quantity, but it was rich in quality and personal growth. 🌱 Featured here are a handful of my favorite designs from my 2023 collection of junk journal printables. 📚✂️ It's these pieces that I'm most proud of, the ones that sparked joy and creativity not just in me, but hopefully in all who used them to bring their own journals to life. 🎨💡
Outside of the digital studio, life was brimming with experiences – the kind that fills the pages of one's own story. 📖 From family trips to watching my kids embark on new journeys to cultivating friendships and savoring every chapter as it unfolds.
Moving forward, my focus is set on striking a balance between the art of design and the art of living. 🖌️⚖️ I'm aiming for a 2024 where creativity flows not just through my business, but in every aspect of life. 🌼🎯 Here's to crafting a vibrant 2024, filled with art and heart! ❤️
I’ve been sewing my own journal covers and I love the process of putting together fabric collage. Silky fabric, Pom Pom trim, laces, stamped fabric and a vintage button were used in making the cover.
The elastic binding allows me to remove the pages so i can fill them with collage. The binding is held in place with grommets.
This journal will be about the cozy feeling of being at home. I’m going to fill it with black and white photos and altered maps that remind me of the wonderful feeling of coming home after a long journey. To the place where I belong.
Since we just talked about how to make a junk journal last post, now let’s talk about what you will use to fill it up and make it pretty. Junk journaling is like going on a treasure hunt where every little piece you find can tell a story. You can use almost anything to create your journal.
First off, you might want to start with the basics, like old book pages. These can be from old novels,…
Slow stitched this floral piece for a future botanical junk journal cover. I used one of my favourite stamps with ink to make the pattern then filled it in with embroidery floss.
As a mixed media artist I love the possibility of combining everything I’m drawn to in new and different ways. I can’t live within the confines of one medium. I need to work with everything together to see my creative vision come to life.
