the thing about junkrat is that like. yeah he does and has killed people but alot of people in the fandom who seem to really hate him (or at least think he's overrated) tend to like. characterize him like he's an evil ruthless white boy murderer and not a comic relief character? like i remember people being like "the tumblr fandom seems to forgot junkrat and roadhog are violent criminals and not wacky adventure bros) and like i guess if you ready their bios and nothing else than yeah?

WELL YEAH. i think those kind of people are.funny because like they could not more explicitly be wacky adventure bros, like, even when they kill people they do it with a silly style like junkrat is Funny. i think i just dont like it when the devs put things in the game where hes like "🥺🥺🥺🥺 why does nobody like meeeeeeeee im so saaaaaaaad about nobody liking meeee" and then people write 27 paragraphs of meta about how he was just a little misunderstood babyguy the whole time and the rest of the cast is unfairly mean like its like, baptistes fault that junkrat loves to be weird and violent and offputting

with the speed riha is driving at, you would think stevie would have a bit more thought of safety. holding on with two hands, careful with his weight distribution; but riha and him have been working together for a long time-- and he knows all her tricks, just like she knows all of his.

gunfire. a bullet whizzes by. riha turns the bike just as stevie turns his weight the other way to peer back, taking note of how much distance they have between them and the people chasing them.

"we're almost at the checkpoint." riha calls, excitement in her tone as she straightens up. stevie on instinct tightens his grip around her, glancing back again, unable to help himself. "you can probably toss it back in a few seconds."

"you think?" a maniacal grin crosses his face. "say less!" adjusting, he shifts and shoves a hand into his pocket, pulling out the oval shaped explosive (homemade! it tooks weeks for him to make it!), literred with graffiti and splashed in different colors. it looks like a child's bathbomb, but with a tab on it eerily similar to that of a grenade.

"bombs away~" he sings, tugging out the tab and tossing the little explosive back. they drive a few more seconds, riha hitting the excelerator as stevie whoops in excitement. closer and closer they get, two people standing on either side of the highway calmly.

just as riha and stevie sail past, stevie yelling his greetings-- the explosive goes off, bright flashes of color shooting into the sky and popping off like fireworks. the evening sky a blaze of color and rainbow and smoke.

overwatch ratings based on how they would date

did this a while ago but spent too much time on it for it to not be posted. this is just a personal opinion and personal ratings based off lore and bias tbh. this will be updated with every hero (if I remember to lol)

Tanks:

D.VA: 6/10. Caring and loving, fun gaming dates, but gets recognized a lot, and if it came down to it she’d choose her job to protect south korea over her lover

Doomfist: 4/10. He’d be a gentleman but probably only in it for sex or to be a sugar daddy. He’d treat his “lover” with respect tho so not a total loss i guess.

Junker Queen: 7/10. After the shit she’s been thru i think she doesnt really want a partner cuz shes afraid they’re just using her to get to the throne or that she’ll lose them. She’s protective and caring but also a bit overprotective to the point where it’s like okay calm down. Also might get into a few fights but eh.

Orisa: 0/10. she thinks it would be cute to be in a relationship but knows she cant be in one due to being the “protector of numbani”. so no.

Ramattra: 8/10. Deadass depends if it’s an omnic or not. If his lover is an omnic he will cherish them and take care of them, knowing that they’re one of the few things he loves in this life. If it’s a human then theres some. Problems. He doesnt open up easily and while he’s still protective and caring he can sometimes get very distant towards them because he fears that they only got close to him to use him or kill him.

Reinhardt: 9/10: Perfect gentleman. Treats you with respect and love, and cherishes you no matter what. -1 is because he can be really loud sometimes even when he doesnt mean to be

Roadhog: 5/10. I think of him as aroace but he would try and give it a shot just to feel what it’s like. Hes very quiet but also very calm. He would listen to his lover and do his best to help them, but he moves around a lot thanks to junkrat now and might cut off communication with you just to keep you safe when he's on the run

Sigma: 5/10. A real gentleman, would treat his lover with respect and kindness and love. Only downside is when he has one of his mind breaks and breakdowns. He forgets who he is and just focuses on violence. Also his control of gravity in that state is very fucky so if he’s having a breakdown his lover might get throw to the ground. He feels like jackshit afterwards and probably realizes it’s best not to have someone he cares about so close to him

Wrecking Ball: 0/10 no. he would simply not even if he wanted to. Aroace hampter 

Winston: maybe a 1/10. i feel like he doesnt want a romantic relationship with anybody and just wants friends (aroace monke)

Zarya: 6/10. Protective and caring but would focus too much on her job. would also pick her country over her lover if it did come down to it

Mauga: 8/10: Would treat his lover right and give them anything they asked for. Free beach house, gifts, and a loving, protective, obsessive bf. -2 because slight yandere vibes and can get too possesive-

Damage:

Ashe: 6/10. Partners in crime kinda thing but if you’re not really into that stuff she’s probably not that into you. She has BOB watching you when she cant during a fight but shes always next to you when she can be.

Bastion: 0/10. Dude just wants to live in the woods with his bird he doesnt want that stuff.

Cassidy: 8/10. Southern sweetheart. Treats his partner with love and respect. Only downside is that he’d be out a lot doing his job, but he would let somebody else do it to be with you if it’s a special occasion or if he really wants to stay with you.

Echo: 2/10. Not big on romance but would try it out for science. Sadly in the end it’s not real love so. Oof

Genji: 9/10. Probably doesn’t want a relationship at first because of his body but he gets used to it and opens up his heart. Honestly very good boyfriend would be there to listen and help you with stuff. -1 cuz he might be out doing overwatch stuff a lot and also might not be the most exciting person to be around if you're a hyper person.

Hanzo: 6/10. Can’t see him getting in a relationship after everything thats happened but if he did he’d be kinda bad at it but you could tell that he’s trying his best.

Junkrat: 5/10. I love him but i cant really see him *staying* in a relationship for long. He doesn’t know how to stop sometimes and can get really annoying really quick but he loves making things for his lover and would do his best to keep them away from the dangerous bombs. He loves them a lot but doesn’t know how to turn the love down. Really clingy so if youre into that cool.

Mei: 9/10. Absolute sweetheart. Loves you to bits and takes you out to her favorite restaurants and stuff. -1 cuz you had to have a long distance relationship due to her being in Antarctica and the fact she slept for years with no communication with her lover-

Phara: 4/10. Cares about her job more but would be an okay girlfriend, doing the basics.

Reaper: 1/10. He’s done with love and would probably just just be a sugar daddy or just be there for sex. Even if he did find himself feeling something he’d ignore it and move on

Sojourn:5/10. Not interested in dating or finding love but if it finds her she’ll go for it. Pretty nice girlfriend, makes sure to take care of her lover but does focus on her job a lot more sometimes.

Soldier:76: 0/10. Not interested and has made sure to break off any past relationships. Doesn’t want the people he cares about to get hurt. So he still cares but doesnt go see them.

Somba: 7/10. Would be a pretty good girlfriend if she wanted to have a relationship. She keeps all people she cares about far away and unaware of her deeds at Talon. So a long distance relationship until she can take some time off to go see her lover and vibe.

Symmetra: 3/10. Doesn’t know how to even start a relationship and doesn’t really want to. Her job is important to her so she wouldn’t want distractions from it.

Torbjorn: 6/10. His wife and him had a few children and have been married for a while so he’s probably got the whole love thing covered.

Tracer: 9/10. Probably one of the best on this list. She’s loving and caring and makes sure to spend a lot of time with her partner. 

Widowmaker: 3/10. Last partner she had was um. killed by her so. +3 if you could break down her walls and see the real her but very low chance

Venture: 8.5/10: Would talk to you about rocks, fossils, and everything else they can think about. They’d even let you name rocks around the house. -2 cuz they’ll talk your ear off about rocks n stuff while also bouncing around everywhere. They can also be gone for long periods of time but always makes sure to call. If you can deal with the infodumping and adhd then 9.5/10 for you 

Support:

Ana: 5/10. She doesn’t want a relationship but she’d be very loving and caring to her lover.

Baptiste: 8/10. Great boyfriend, lovers needs always come first and he’s very open and always has an ear out to listen. -2 because he’s constantly on the run and the relationship could get stressed.

Brigitte: 5/10. Mostly focused on her work but would make a pretty good girlfriend if she finds the right person. The relationship would mostly be a test one because she lowkey doesn’t understand it.

Kiriko: 4/10. Would love to be in a relationship but protecting her home is more important than finding love to her.

Lucio: 9/10. Actual sweetheart. Would make music for you and would cancel shows last second if something came up and you needed something. If you need anything he’ll be there to help.

Mercy: 8/10. She’s really focused on her work but no matter what would take time to come stay with you for a while. -2 because sometimes too focused on work and sometimes doesnt have time to see you for a long time.

Moira: 0/10. Not looking for a relationship and would probably lie just to get you strapped to a table and butchered.

Zenyatta: 7/10. Would make a decent boyfriend but he can’t have relationships due to being a monk. He’d be there to listen and to give advice when you needed it.

• Cassidy: Just so cool. Experienced. I think I’d just be looking at him the entire time

• Sombra: Has cool older sister vibes. Will tell you all the wildest gossip. Best playlist too.

• Junkrat: Hear me out but I think he’d pull a 180 and become the smartest man ever. It’d chill him out sm that he’s normal. Very entertaining.

⟢ i found the start of this in my notes from last summer and decided to finish it. only did a few because they stuck out to me the clearest

junkrat would, fittingly, love like a bomb.  jamison fawkes has no experience with a partner, let alone love.  but he’s diving in headfirst, fuses alight with hearts for pupils.  he’s unpredictable; you never really know where he’s going to land emotionally.  all you know is the blast will be damaging — not particularly in a bad way.  those little explosions of love will burn away your skin and all those fleshy layers until he can see your heart.  he doesn’t mind the blood as he cups his hands around it, so raw and so you, the beating of it against his palms akin to a countdown.  and then every burn scar he gets while tinkering on his creations he dedicates just for you.  his love is always around, just a constant ticking clock until the wick is at its end and you hear that familiar ring.  he’s a block of c4 strapped right over your heart.

ashe is a hole in the head.  something so intense it disrupts your entire way of thinking. a shot she never misses.  her love is all you can focus on, dripping all out down your forehead and into your eyes and mouth, staining your teeth a visible red when you smile so love-drunkenly for her.  it’s a consistent shot of pain, an ache that will never cease.  she leaves your brain all mushy, torn up so all you can really think about is her. when you look, she’s stood in front of you with her hat tipped down, muzzle of her gun pressed to red pouted lips, blowing a leash of smoke around your neck with no intention of letting go.  your head is split open for her viewing pleasure, and she makes sure you know. but she cradles your jaw with lissom fingers and wets a white handkerchief with her tongue, dabbing it over your heart-shaped wound.  she sort of revels a little in the way you wince at the sting, cleaning you up just enough so the wound never really heals.  it may scab over, but ashe is always ready with another bullet, and you know how quick she can reload.

widowmaker loves like a spider bite.  you’re tied up in her sticky strings of love, her carefully woven web tied from lamenting bone to lamenting bone. and it seems for a moment the spider whose web you’re caught in has died with how long you struggle all alone.  but she’s there, perfecting her poison before her final performance.  widowmaker is graceful as she moves along that pretty, heart-shaped web of her design.  long legs tantalizing you, love just dripping from those sharp fangs of hers. you can feel it spread painfully through your veins, pumping into your heart.  and it’s like your chest constricts; she’s taking you for herself from the inside out.  she’s focusing in on every single part of you, scoping into the sweat that’s dripping off your face, the intoxicated way your eyes fight to stay open.  your vision is so foggy when she lifts your head by your chin, all you can really make out is her shadowed form.  and now it’s like the web that ensnared you is the only thing holding your body up.  your veins write jeremiads up your arms; her love is a pain you just couldn’t bring yourself to hate.

Random Bundle Of Junkrat Headcannons

-He strikes me as a person who always seems cold, but is usually feeling hot.

-He is straight, but only cause I have a feeling that he doesn't understand the community at all, he had many other things to worry about.

-Roadhog is like an older brother to him, ya'll are weird asf for shipping a 27 yo with somebody who is in his late 50's (my opinion).

-He doesn't like omnics, but he never actually used omnics as dummies before unlike other members of Junkertown would.

-He wears earplugs half of the time to save what is left of his hearing.

-Surprisingly, has amazing eyesight.

-His balance game is strong, have you seen his Running Rat emote? He can balance on his peg leg with ease.

-Not so good with kids, mainly because half of the time he doesn't know what they want from him.

-He can draw pretty well actually, usually, he draws random facial designs on papers, or weird people when he's bored.

-Very, VERY fast reader, and he comprehends it well too (same my guy).

-He doesn't actually hate all omnics, he's curious, have you heard his interactions with Rammatra before? He's curious about the guy.

-Not religious whatsoever, but probably because he doesn't know much about it in the first place.

-He likes coffee a lot, but he genuinely cant handle hard caffeine, like espresso, so he often gets something on the sweeter side.

-Unlike his balance, his motor skills are a bit wonky, he has shaky hands, like he was taking crack his whole life.

-He can't decipher romantic feelings from platonic half the time, so he just vibes with whatever is going on till the person figures it out for him.

-Falls asleep very quickly, like a damn marine.

-The only reason Jamison would probably join Overwatch, is to get away from his criminal record, either because he wants to be a better person, or just to mask it.

-Amazing at making sand castles, like extremely good, the guy can make a palace out of sand in a couple of hours.

-When he takes his mech hand off, there's a small electrode that helps him move his hand very smoothly, and with the modified technology of OW2 universe, it manages to basically allow him to feel the movement and control it like an arm.

-When he was little, he had a light tooth gap.

-0 body hair, he is a twink.

-Professional at slithering his way out of questions, use the interaction he had with Lifeweaver when he was asked if Roadhog was his significant other.

-When he zones out, he genuinely looks sad even though he isn't.

-Not a big fan of working with music. When he works, he needs either pure and utter silence, or somebody talking to him or near him.

-Doesn't have a hunch because surprisingly has a very good sitting posture.

-His hair is put up a lot more often than people think.

-Has a tattoo on his upper thigh of one of his weird smiley faces. --- Bellow are some romantic headcannons, this includes you being his lover (in our case, somebody with the female anatomy) ---

-No interpretation of boundaries whatsoever unless set directly.

-At some point, his heists can often mean more to him than his partner, but with time, it can change.

-Likes people shorter than him, he finds it "cute".

-Actually isn't overly touchy, he's never had physical affection, so it can weird him out a lot at first, but he gets used to it quickly and begins to initiate it just as fast.

-Loves kissing, like any type of kissing, from pecks to make outs. He's very messy with it.

-When you call him out, he puckers out his lips and just looks at you.

-Doesn't care for body shapes or types whatsoever, he however likes peoples hands a lot for some reason, his aren't so clean, he knows he's committed crimes, and even though he's proud of them half of the time, it's nice to see someone who cant compare.

-Takes some said things out of context, like sexual hints.

-If you guys do ever have sex, he would lay against you after, looking up at you with his head between your tits (any sized tits, tits are a privilege to lay against, it's tits guys.)

-More of a visual person, very, loves feeling your anywhere.

-Would oppose to pretty much anything you ask, if you ask him to put his hair up, he would, you ask him to do something, he would.

-Scared of being a father a bit, as mentioned before, not a big fan of kids (me too brother.)

Tank:

I really only see like two being tank.

Red as tank he'd play the newest Tank Mauga they both give me the vibes.

Maybe Auron...but like as a Ramattra or Reinhardt either all up in the other team or protecting others when needed.

Damage:

I feel like most boys fall in this category bc I can't see them as tank or support. Maybe a dps support.

Auron might either be Reaper or Symmetra. Reaper bc lmao emo (lovingly) but likes sneaking up on people when he turns to mist. Symmetry bc he helps the supports get from spawn to point bc it takes forever to get there. He will fight for any supports bc you are NOT targeting my supports.

Charlie would be a good Sombra main bc she can turn invisible and hack people. I think he'd like fucking with people while invisible just doing Sombra main things.

Alphonse is kinda hard to place but I can kinda see him playing Junkrat since he's supper chaotic. I can also see him using JR's ult on so many people.

Seth for shits and giggles I can see him playing Cassidy. Maybe another dmg character but idk hes kinda hard to pick. But I can see him practicing Cas and end up loving him.

Faust my Moon, you have shit aim but I can see him maybe trying to be better? So I think soldier is a good pick for him bc his aultimate is aim bot.

Support:

I can see like two of them permanently being support when playing.

Jack would be a chill Lucio main. But don't underestimate his boops j can see him getting most kills that way.

Finn obvi is a support I can see him as Mercy, Lifeweaver or Zenyatta. I feel like he's only support bc if he's all up in the chaos he will be panicking bc of it. He panic resurrects people.

Faust us only a healer bc he has shit aim. I can see him being a Moria. Only bc you can fade away from enemies. But also can use heal orbs on yourself and team. I can see him being a dps Moria.

Junkrat & Hade (Flashy in OW canon but i decided to play around with google translator. fyi Hade is the one with the golden rose outfit and the oni mask in 'kiriko cinematic): it's rather simple. they get wild easily and can spend up to multiple hours in bed even if the 'aura' isn't present. altho Hade has moments where he wants to just chill

Pompamoto & Hade: Pomp and Hade work together in hashimoto headquarters for pretty long and they once can be decent friends and the other time mock each other for no reason. but would never get in a romantic relationship as for Pomp: Hade is an arrogant jackass and for Hade: Pompamoto is a coward and idiot. but they wouldn't actually fight or anything if they wanted to prove a point. Hade is strong in combat but Pomp at some point gains the ability to summon the Tiger Spirit (my AU). so the fight would be unfair

Junkrat & Pompamoto: this relationship is rather based around emotional support. Junkrat is a 'free hug anytime' type and Pomp is the 'i'm super depressed but really appreciate the support' type. [fun fact/small AU lore drop]: they both met in a hospital

one more thing: the reason i use Junkrat with his mobster skin is to match the 'elegant vibe' (also its a lil bit of my OW au soooo...)

Going back to the "games that are banned from the 141"

Is Overwatch banned? If not, what roles/who do they all play?

Personally, I see Gaz as being a support player, but he's definitely one of the bloodthirsty ones that just will scream at Soap.

Soap plays Junkrat. It is law.

If it is banned, what happened?

I dunno, I was just playing some Overwatch earlier today and was like "wait a minute, COD boys and this game would be so chaotic"

They play Overwatch and jokingly say it's banned because of how competitive they all get.

Soap is definitely a Junkrat main. It is law. As soon as he saw Junkrat and some of his gameplay he went "It me!". He plays Junkrat exclusively and will pout if he has to play another hero. If he has to play another hero, which he will complain about, he'll choose Wrecking Ball.

Price is a Soldier 76 main. That is also law. Unlike Soap, he doesn't complain when he has to pick another hero. He aims for Orisa or Reinhardt if they need a tank.

Ghost definitely mains Reaper. He vibes with him so much, even bought a Reaper mask to wear. If Ghost can't play Reaper he will play Widowmaker. He really likes her character and vibes with her as well.

Gaz does play support, he bounces between Mercy and Lucio and Moira. He also screams at his team the entire time and will choose to not heal them if they piss him off.

(I haven't played Overwatch in awhile or looked at all the new things they added. I know there are new heroes but I haven't looked them over yet so I picked from the heroes in Overwatch 1)

I’m willing to bet that Moira has chronic pain based off her interactions with Junkrat and Reaper.

She experimented on herself first

Her fade ability is very similar to Reaper’s smokey abilities

Their interaction where Reaper asks her if there’s Anything she can do for the pain, which is implied to be a result of her experimentation, she just brushes him off and says to use it as fuel for vengeance

Which considering that she has the ability to heal seems kind of weird, unless she’s already tried, oh she’s tried, and nothing helps

Add in Junkrat asking to be her assistant and she replies that they can start with testing his tolerance for pain

Which yeah, she’s got that sadistic vibe, but what if there’s more to that statement

What if she actually would accept his help but he has to be prepared for chronic pain? Because it goes hand in hand with her gifts?

Plus there’s the whole “the scientific community thinks her work is highly unethical” perhaps that’s because of the pain

And of course the difference in her right arm between OW1 and 2, that looks way worse and not particularly painless
