Rereading through Jojo's discord lore dump stuff again and man, she reminds me of myself and of how I do things with my stories. I think it would be really fun to chat with Jojo writer-to-writer about storyplotting and storywriting, compare notes, talk about inspirations, our writer/artist journeys on how we got to where we are now in the craft, etc. Too bad there's a wall between us of her being Important and fandom famous and me being a weird little forest creature in one small corner of the sea of the fandom.

I find the processes of how different writers create their stories to be super interesting. How do you go from random plot bunny to plotted outline + completed longfic chapters? Everyone's way of doing things is wildly different and it is so fascinating. Are there any other fic writers out there who wanna chat about storywriting?

#Jojo also reminds me of my sister #My twin used to write stories too when we were kids #but now her hobbies have shifted on to other things #it really is a privelege to be able to read the Linked Universe comic with how much work goes into it #and an honor that Jojo chooses to continue to write for us--the audience #She's one of those people who's stumbled into greatness and she's taking it in stride #just like a Zelda hero

#legend of zelda #loz #twilight princess #loz tp #i'm still reeling that someone sent me an ask about this one.. that they took the time to find my tumblr and tell me they liked it #it really meant a lot; thank you to anyone that stops to leave comments like that. they make me happy #but yeah! here's the usual symbolism ramble:#i thought it'd be cool to have the 'spirits' flowing one way and the cats walking through them the other way #to kinda show the difference in life inhabiting the village in the past and present #link's face is covered because impaz was just waiting for 'the hero' so his clothes are what matters; not his face #and it (hopefully) gives a surreal and intangible sense to 'the hero' she could only hope would actually show up #you can feel free to interpret the glowy blue sheikah as ghosts or just as memories of the past! i couldn't decide either way #the one on the bottom left is oot impa since she's implied to be the village founder. so i guess she would be a ghost actually?#fan art #my art #project stuff #and ahhh the book-- everyone's stuff is so beautiful!!#especially the writing. some of the fics made me really tear up and some were so fun and clever. i really love them #a lot of them captured the sheer burden of the role of the sheikah; all of the time and grief and doubt #i know i always say this stuff about every project but. the people i get to work with in these are truly so skilled every time

The words "Zonai Ganondorf" entered my head and I haven't been sane since. Perhaps in the Zonai version of the legend, the warlord "Gannon" sought after the secret stones, and the incarnation of Hylia draconified herself to stop him alongside the Ancient Hero.

My brain is buzzed and buzzing.

HW Zelda spent a good portion of her time with Link disguised as Sheik. She decided to keep her identity a secret from even Impa, which means she probably had to change her personality a little to make it convincing. So this entire time, Sheik and Link work together and fight together, and Link got to know this different persona. So when she revealed herself as Zelda, I wonder how that changed their relationship and dynamic?

Imagine Zelda is falling for Link but Link is falling for someone who doesn’t exist. Imagine Link’s agency and consent are so ambiguous because destiny determines that Link and Zelda are always together, that they have to be together, at least according to Lana and Cia.

I don’t know, I just have a lot of thoughts about HW Zelink. Not all of them are great. But I suppose if people write it well I can like it.

The concept was originally for their biological daughter (Twilight's great-grandma), but feel free to interpret them however you like - bio kid or adopted, girl or boy, or anything else, what matters is just that they're family.

#It's like the happy media equals angsty fandom and vice versa but like. Video game series about the dreams and adventures of childhood with #A fandom full of angst and abandonment and depression and smut #It's why I don't really stay in the loz fandom long each time I circle back around #There's so much potential for good things and comfort and snuggly warmth and lightheartedness.#Like yeah messed up things happen in front of and to link but kids are resilient beasts and most importantly they fix it #He's literally wearing the Peter pan hat to invoke that sort of eternal wonder that's the DESIGN of the hat that's why it's so identifiable #Fanart captures it a lot. The gorgeous landscapes and quiet moments and dappled sunlight #But fics???? Oh lu fics are just full of miscommunication and resentment and sour interactions and pain and simmering anger #I prefer to read trusted authors because it's so wearing but the problem is you have to go out and find them lol #It's a very controversial belief of mine that every link enjoyed their adventure even if it was scary or sad and would not be averse to #Another. Oh the circumstances they might hate. But link has never been one to refuse the call #That's the POINT they stepped up when the adults couldn't it's their COURAGE that they'd be fastest to volunteer.#Unrelated but post game botk is adhd central you can do literally whatever you want and whatever pace and you just drift around getting #Distracted and teleporting all over and setting challenges and poking around every nook and cranny #Like botw I had over 300 koroks and 98% map completion. I maxed out hero's path twice over. Totk I've just been wandering around #Speed farming lynels like 17 different goals drifting from one to the other as I wish. Totk!Ganon is great and all but the scene in Twilight Princess where his Triforce of Power awakens and he breaks out of the chains is still one of the coolest moments he's ever had, so I drew that scene here haha
