The one thing I'm always gonna love about "Our Flag Means Death" is how Ed and Stede met each other.
I don't mean the circumstances (the raid, Stede getting stabbed, etc.).
I mean, when Ed first walked up on Stede (who was laying on the deck of a ship, bleeding out, barely conscious), and his first words to him were "The 'Gentleman Pirate', I presume...?"
And despite being close to death, Stede actually smiled a little and went, "you know me?"
...Because that's what Stede had been longing for, fame as a pirate, with the moniker he chose.
And when Stede later woke up (in the next episode), and Ed realized that he didn't know who he was, he put out his hand to shake and said, "...I'm Ed."
He didn't first introduce himself to Stede as Blackbeard, because there was a man in front of him who didn't know who he was, and he could introduce himself with his own name; as the person he'd wanted to be known as (instead of just "Blackbeard") for a long time.
They got to be who they wanted to be with each other, right from the very beginning.

I don't think you'll be necessarily famous by just havingy the degrees 5°, 17°, 29° and 28° in your chart.
It may indicates that you just like to express yourself a lot (leo is also related to identity) and probably like children. Even if you don't like children, you have an attitude of one.
After all, it does not mean fame as fame per chance, but attention on its own. You have the ability to be friendly, attractive and talented, which makes you more known whenever you go. Which is the most probable situation for you.
I advise you to not look for just fame and worry about you got already, because it's a double edge sword. The obsession won't help if you don't put work on whatever you want.
- Sincerely, as someone that checked asteroids, parallels aspects, trans-neptunian influence, persona charts and harmonic charts to see how fame was working for famous and non famous people during 5 years.

last weekend, i watched shrek 3 for the first time in a while. it's more fun watching it now, as the jokes and puns were more comprehensible xDD
but WAIT! plot aside, a character has caught my attention.
Tumblr media
him: arthur pendragon
ever since he appeared on the screen, one thing was on my mind: PERCY JACKSON!!!
arthur's (artie) character is that of percy jackson, especially percy in the lightning thief.
the way my sister and i gushed about the uncanny similarities between the two when we were watching shrek 3 was so funny. hahahahahah

Now that I'm rewatching Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon I get why my mom didn't want me to watch it as a kid. This show did not hold back on anything.
Don't get me wrong, I love it. But now that I see it for what it is, it's not for kids, and the PG 16 is totally understandable. I'm this 🤏 close to creating the body count for every season just for my own pleasure.

no one saw the sign taylor swift and joe broke up. anti-hero could be taylor's realization to their love story. hmmm just my observation. taylor has a knack for writing songs about her personal life, especially romantic relationships, so it could be they already broke up while she's doing her new album?

top lesbian culture is having that one and only male celebrity that you'd do basically anything for because he's either your missing/better father figure, a gay guy that walks with women because men are trash, an actor who played your favourite character in a movie/show, or all of the above.

From my observations there is a direct parallel between those who think Harry is straight/not with Louis and those who believe they have a chance of dating him.

changes and trends in horror-genre films are linked to the anxieties of the culture in its time and place. Vampires are the manifestation of grappling with sexuality; aliens, of foreign influence. Horror from the Cold War is about apathy and annihilation; classic Japanese horror is characterised by “nature’s revenge”; psychological horror plays with anxieties that absorbed its audience, like pregnancy/abortion, mental illness, femininity. Some horror presses on the bruise of being trapped in a situation with upsetting tasks to complete, especially ones that compromise you as a person - reflecting the horrors and anxieties of capitalism etc etc etc. Cosmic horror is slightly out of fashion because our culture is more comfortable with, even wistful for, “the unknown.” Monster horror now has to be aware of itself, as a contingent of people now live in the freedom and comfort of saying “I would willingly, gladly, even preferentially fuck that monster.” But I don’t know much about films or genres: that ground has been covered by cleverer people.
I don’t actually like horror or movies. What interests me at the moment is how horror of the 2020s has an element of perception and paying attention.
Multiple movies in one year discussed monsters that killed you if you perceived them. There are monsters you can’t look at; monsters that kill you instantly if you get their attention. Monsters where you have to be silent, look down, hold still: pray that they pass over you. M Zombies have changed from a hand-waved virus that covers extras in splashy gore, to insidious spores. A disaster film is called Don’t Look Up, a horror film is called Nope. Even trashy nun horror sets up strange premises of keeping your eyes fixed on something as the devil GETS you.
No idea if this is anything. (I haven’t seen any of these things because, unfortunately, I hate them.) Someone who understands better than me could say something clever here, and I hope they do.
But the thing I’m thinking about is what this will look like to the future, as the Victorian sex vampires and Cold War anxieties look to us. I think they’ll have a little sympathy, but they probably won’t. You poor little prey animals, the kids will say, you were awfully afraid of facing up to things, weren’t you?

Chronically online people: “you guys this thing is literally so ableist- it’s ableism at its finest-“
Shut up! Shut the fuck up! This people drive me up a fucking tree.
They would explode after spending 5 minutes with someone who has ADHD/ADD/OCD/ autism in real life.
I have seen neurodivergent people get called out for ‘faking it’ bc they didn’t act like how chronically online people said they act… we don’t check off a set of boxes in order, in a set period of time…
I have been called ableist for calling myself a dumass when I mess up or miss a social cue.. it’s a joke..about myself to myself, not hurting others, not said to others…
I have been called ableist for telling people about recourses and guides…
“Allies” call neurodivergents ableist and in some cases the “r” word when we call them out on their bullshit or say don’t create a problem out of something that was never a problem…
This is why we don’t want you to advocate for us…we never asked you to…

you know what i think is really cool about dungeon meshi? the fact that it really handles the whole 'how our food is made' so gracefully. in this day and age, we've become so disconnected from how our food is produced and distributed that the thought of how our food is obtained brings disgust to many people (and for the big industry farms, it honestly should! but im referring to our existence as omnivores in the food chain). marcille acted ridiculous whenever the thought of killing a monster for food is brought up, but honestly, she's a great model for how many people nowadays react whenever they have to truly think about what they are consuming/are brought to a meat farm.
senshi shows the characters (and us, the audience) about the process of making food in a respectful, genuine way to the creatures he has used to produce nourishing meals. by explaining the nutrition and benefits of each creature, he creates and healthy relationship between the consumers and the meal they have. the show really brings a new dimension of respect for each of our meals. truly the bob ross/marie kondo of cooking.
