Maglor who stayed in Middle Earth all the way through till present day, or close to it, and then for whatever reason finally ends up going back to Valinor, but he has enthusiastically picked up all the modern day curses and slang and sometimes when he talks he's so completely incomprehensible to his family that they're not sure if they want to cry or hit him

aka: Maglor comes back to Valinor and instead of getting a traumatized son/brother back like the expected, they find that Maglor did in fact get over his shit eventually but was just having a blast becoming an agent of chaos and now he's brought all that back with him <3

Finished The King in Yellow and I have THOUGHTS. They are good ones, I enjoyed it and recommend it

I read it because of Malevolent, I’m not gonna lie. But if you go in expecting lore then you’re gonna be frustrated and disappointed. This isn’t a lore bible it’s the Origin Point.

I went in knowing that the last few short stories were not even explicitly horror, that did not stop me from being bored and wishing that the KiY would show up and fuck up these dumb lovesick French artist students. I will admit that I skimmed parts. They were good stories but KNOW what you’re going into.

THAT BEING SAID, I DON’T THINK THEY WERE UNIMPORTANT TO THE MAIN THEME. In fact I don’t think the main theme of the book Clicked with me until I was reading those stories

Because the subject of the book isn’t necessarily the King in Yellow– he actually features less as the book goes on. The book is about these different characters’ relationships to their past. When a character has a past they are ashamed of, and they either 1) idolize it or 2) try to run away from it because they’re sure they’re unlovable because of it, THAT’S when they fall prey to the King in Yellow. Characters who admit and accept their past not only survive the horrors, but find acceptance from the same loved ones they were so afraid of disappointing.

Interesting Vampire Chronicles vampire traits (that are either changed, not clarified, or not yet mentioned in IWTV on AMC)

Vampires enter a "death sleep" uncontrollably at sun rise and wake at sunset. They have no control over when they sleep, and if they are awake when the sun rises, they will fall asleep abruptly even if standing up (as seen in PL: RoA).

When a vampire drinks from a human, they experience a huge amount of the human's memories. This is mentioned in the show, but is a more heavily emphasized aspect in the books.

When vampires drink human blood, it makes them appear more and more human, and overindulging in blood can make them appear almost fully human. Vampires are also physically hot to the touch after drinking human blood, and gradually get cold the longer it has been since they last drank.

Vampire blood, when consumed by humans, is somewhat hallucinogenic and addictive.

a consequence of talking about fallen london to my friends who don't play it is that then they think I know a lot about fallen london bc I can confidently say things like "I know which of the masters is dead vs kind of dead vs for sure alive" or "the orphan math finally makes sense to me" or "I'm in the late game and have accomplished many things after playing for over two years"

so… did have to block someone that thought i would have the patience to carry a conversation with them about this, but i am literally gonna have to pinch people’s clit as i explain this only once - most of my artwork, centers around dol, currently, a game that is essentially a form of kink fulfillment for some, a fun stat managing game for others, or an interesting lore & smut driven story; in which the player character you are, is most notably, a high schooler. as well as some of the other LIs that are your fellow classmates.

as someone who has paid their dues, and graduated from a high school, i find it super fun and interesting to explore the topics of sexuality & identity within these characters as it was something i personally remember, vividly going through, as well as my own peers, good and bad experiences alike during this era!! it was a time of identity and exploration!! getting a sense of yourself! if any of my followers are uncomfortable by the topic of me illustrating those things ( as well as the fact i say in my bio that i like to explore dark themes mixed with sexuality ), i need you to evaluate on following me and the chance that i might not be a creative you should be following.

ok so hypothetically with the way sophie’s teleporting works would she just like. be banned from races of any kind because she’d inevitably think super hard on where she wants to go and already be traveling fast and just teleport there?

like she’s doing a silly lil bike race (she canonically rode a bike as a kid and he probably figured out how to ride one in the forbidden cities) w/ keefe one moment and the next she’s in the void and she’s like :| and does the Teleport of Shame to the finish line to hail him to apologize and wait for him. fitz invites her to go running with him at evergreen but makes it clear it’s not a race because he’s heard what happens when she races people, and they’re doing fine jogging for a while and then she sees biana off-course and gets too excited and accidentally runs into her the ground via teleporting.

if she’s in a cab with dex on a forbidden cities mission, could she accidentally teleport the cab to their destination?? how would the black swan cover that up???

I have an answer for you: mxes!! we're almost definitely getting mxes lore in this game and its probably already solved knowing that edwin is missing but mxes is already in the warehouse when hes gone. edwin almost 100% built mxes to go against mimic + stop Fazbear ent from taking it, bc they're aggressive to the player

since mxes is in sotm and the van update in hw2 exists I have a theory that's a sneak peak of one of sotms endings which reveals the drivers of the van (gregory vanessa and Freddy) taking mxes from the warehouse and to the pizzaplex to set up ruin, which would apply to the found footage theory, bc if they went to the warehouse theyd find the film that recorded the events of sotm and could watch it, bc theres no other reason for the game to be found footage than for someone in the future to watch the events
