Some of Tee and Ja'Marr's thoughts on the Tee Situation

Tee said to me 'right now I get to play with one of the, if not the, best quarterbacks in the game, I get to play with one of, if not the, best wide receivers in the game, that opens up so much more for me.' And then he said 'this offense is designed for so many different players to be spotlighted, the way that I am used in this offense so plays to my strengths.' And then he said to me, 'can you guarantee I can have that exact situation anywhere else?'

It's very easy to compare this situation to what Ja'Marr had at LSU with Joe Burrow and Justin Jefferson. And Ja'Marr has said Tee is very different than Justin Jefferson. That every single minute with Justin Jefferson was a competition. That everything was who makes the more dynamic catch, who has more catches in practice, who runs faster? Everything was that way. Ja'Marr had to speak up and demand the ball a lot at LSU, because so was Justin. Ja'Marr told me that he doesn't have to do that in Cincinnati because Tee, and this is a quote from Ja'Marr, is one of the most unselfish humans you'll ever meet.

I had a burst of drawing power that made me wanna draw ponies. So why not draw ponies of my current obsession? XD Ig you can say this is a au? I've thought of pony names for them? I cannot express how much I LOVE small fandoms because we're all actually like a small village of two and half people where everyone knows everyone and I mean in in the BEST WAY POSSIBLE because this bring the funniest stories ever.

Probably one of my most precious fandom experience I've ever had in a HUGE time of my internet existence happened because I was following one really cool modern AU hmc book fanfiction. And when I really like something I engage with it as much as it's possible to do so, and so I was leaving a pretty big comments (1k+ words each) under every chapter just ranting about the plot, my emotions, predictions and also fitting in some of my favourite hcs. Me and the author had a little chat in the comments for a while, and that's not the main point of the story, but we had pretty similar visions and headcanons for the characters and were both laughing about it.

The funniest thing happened when in one of the chapters they randomly mentioned one of my favourite, random fandom rare pairs, never mentioned anywhere in the fanfiction fandom page before (yes, Justiman. It WAS Justiman) as a canon in the fix instead of canonical pair-up the characters had.

Needless to say I was the happiest person in the world, immediately writing a huge paragraph about how I was absolutely sure that I was the only person shopping them and how good it fit into all the other small details in the fic. Then, between the lines, I asked them where did they get the idea of a ship, because god how happy I was. They said they got the idea from Tumblr and immediately jumped aboard. I asked If they can tell me the name of the account. They did.

It was.

Soooo I see what you’re getting at (same) but I actually headcanon Freed to be one of those guys who’s constantly cold. We never see him wear any other outfit than that coat, scarf and plufsy pants, and partly I believe it’s because he has like 10 layers underneath.

(Also Laxus has a high natural body temperature and he isn’t shy to share it with Freed. Cold hands? Give Laxus 10 minutes and he’s warmed them (and Freed’s face) up.)

The other scene that was very memorable from this episode, and I think, not exaggerating, it's landed among my top 10 Star Wars scenes, is the “I'm hungry” scene on the pirate ship. There's so much going on, and it's not just the script that's fantastic or Jod’s performance; it's the direction, too, because there are so many little things, so many little looks, so many little components. There's so much stuff going on. It almost feels like a dance, almost like it's got choreography to it. I just loved that moment. It's very Dickensian, too, the script and talking about it. My background is in anthropology, so anytime you start talking about the socio-economic factors that are making these characters react the way they are—chef's kiss. I want to know about crafting that scene and blocking that scene because it's just so good. And the shanty? It’s just got everything!

HOWARD: Thank you! So Jude Law came up with the shanty. It was just supposed to be lines.

I love that!

HOWARD: “Tak Rennod soared, away, away…” It was just supposed to be a poem, and Jude came in and he was like, “What do you think if I sang it? If it was a shanty? Because that's kind of what pirates do, and that's how the lore carries on.” We were like, “Yes, please. We would like that very much, Jude Law.” [Laughs] So I'm so glad you loved that scene because it was an absolute joy to stage that and to direct that. Jude Law: world-class actor. One of the greats. Just an astonishingly lovely individual. My dad ended up working with him right afterward, and he goes, “So Jude Law is going to do this. What is he like?” And I said, “Well, get ready. You're about to die and go to director heaven.” It's absolutely true. He, as an actor, has a lot of energy and is very engaged. He's very encouraging. He has a very encouraging, rolling-up-his-sleeves, very intelligent “yes, and…” kind of energy to him.

HOWARD: [Laughs] I have a little bit of a running joke on set where I'm always doing this, “Ooh,” like I start asking questions about a character, and there's usually a point at which Filoni is like, “I don’t… there’s no more to know about this.” And I’m like, “But what's her story? What's her story? What's his story? What's their story?” That's what I'm always asking. “What's their story like?”

That makes me think of Omera [in The Mandalorian]. Because I'm still obsessed with that character.

HOWARD: Oh, I know!

I’m like, “Where's her book?!” I need a spin-off book for her.

HOWARD: Oh my god, please, please, please. [Laughs] Who would write that? Is it Claudia Gray?

Oh, I would love that.

HOWARD: We could go to Claudia Gray and be like, “Please?”

I'm looking at all my High Republic books, and so many of those authors—obviously, Claudia, Justina [Ireland]... Oh my god, they're all so good. And so is Skeleton Crew!

Also, my other favorite thing, too, is usually if there is something that I need to tell them, and I'm saying this in terms of the kids, but this applies to everybody, this is anybody who wants this—some actors don't ever want to watch the monitor, and so I always ask in advance; I'll be like, “Are you comfortable checking out the monitor?” And if they say no, then I'll just be like, “Oh, yeah, no problem. Could you actually just step a little bit over there because we're missing you in the light?” But a number of actors like to look at the monitor, and I'll just be like, “Hey, come over here. Just check this out,” and they'll be like, “Ah. Yeah, I see. Okay,” and then they’ll just pop back. I don't have to say anything, and I love that because that's an actor who’s seeing it, they're crafting their performance as it's happening, and a trusted member of the collaboration.

HOWARD: Oh, you're so wonderful, Maggie! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. I mean, it's wild. I learned a lot making that movie, and one of my big takeaways was just getting to watch Sam Rockwell work and his sense of freedom and what gets discovered when an actor is empowered to be free. I would sometimes be like, “Oh my god.” With Sam, it’s almost like he's got the freedom of a child actor. Like the lack of… It's not vanity. I don't want to call it vanity because that's putting down actors, and I actually haven't experienced actors who have been vain. No one, actually, at all. But just hyper-awareness in everything that's happening. Whereas with kids, it comes from such a feeling place, and there was something in Sam's work that was so exciting because it was coming from that pure sense of play. I remember just really valuing that and seeing that almost the less that Sam was directed, the better he was. It was just like, “Oh, just let him do his thing!” I'm like, “We'll just roll the camera! Do you, man. Just do you.” An actor who is connected to those sorts of instincts and impulses and all of that, it's just thrilling. It's so thrilling.

So, with the kids, they would just be like, “What do you want me to do?” And I'd be like, “Well, what do you think? What do you want to do? I'm not going to tell you.” I would say for three takes, “I'm not going to say anything.” They would ask me questions, and I would say, “Whatever you think.” If you want to know where your mark is or something like that, something technical, absolutely, but if you have questions about how the character should be or whatever, I'll hear your questions, but I'm probably just going to say, “Just follow your instincts, follow your instincts, follow your instincts.” I wouldn't say “whatever you think,” I'd be like, “Follow your instincts.”

Quick info: set after Justin has been rescued from the oil rig and it isn't beta read so uh yeah. Also talk abt almost killing someone I guess?

"You don't trust me. Not anymore.” Hollow. Numb. Those were the only words which could describe the emptiness in Justin's voices as he whispered those words into the dark of night.

To claim he was wrong wouldn't work. They both knew it was true, it was more than evident. Even if she could fight against the thoughts and doubts in her head, her body's automatic reactions were beyond her control.

It was made even more evident on how on edge she had been the whole night now that she was so worn out, having just enough strength left to keep herself up on her feet.

And Justin hadn't kept her at an arms length. Hadn't acted cold or distant. Didn't tense up when she got close, unlike herself.

That meant he still trusted her.

Right?

“I…” searching for the right words was hard, especially if you yourself aren't sure just what you are feeling. What should she say? ‘I need time'? 'It's not your fault’? ‘Can you blame me’? With a defeated sigh she turned her head away, hand hovering over his hesitantly before retreating and laying back on the hay again. “I want to trust you, believe me, I do. It's just that…”

She couldn't bring herself to finish the sentence. Finishing it meant she had to acknowledge that the thing he had already felt so horrible about was indeed the reason she couldn't trust him.

“I almost killed you?” It hurt to hear just how broken he sounded. How hurt he was that his suspicions had been proven right. Montana wanted to pull him into her arms desperately, to tell him it would be alright, they could fix this, it would be fine-

But would it really be fine? How do you fix something like this? After all it wasn't a situation people got themselves in very often. And Justin had always been one of the few people she didn't want to lie to, not about things like this.

He had always been honest with her, always been kind and welcoming and patient even if she herself had acted horrible.

He was a good person. It wasn't fair that things turned out like this.

"Mo, I'm sorry." As he spoke he turned his head to face her, voice barely above a whisper as it cracked. “You know I would never hurt you like that-”

“But you did.” She couldn't turn around, couldn't bear to see the hurt look on his face as she cut him off. Those three words must've cut like a knife if the wince leaving his lips was anything to go by.

Reading so much about Ben having so little scenes in S4 is just making me wanna drop Tua and move into iwtv lol I'll just go ahead and live in my fanfics now
