It was a little busy but it's slowed down some, so if you're thinking of coming down and checking us out, now is the time. $20 gets you in the door until we close at 11 PM, and we have some of the best video gaming this side of Chicago!

Okay on to the personal stuff. I'm wiped out after not doing much today. There is a viral infection working it's way through the house (and as always I'm the last one to get it, and no its not covid), and my body is trying to fight it off, which make me tired. If I could have I would have called off today.

I'm going to try to get episode 69 edited and posted by Monday, but no promises. I may just take tomorrow off and just chill. I *think* we're supposed to record @thacoshammer tomorrow but my brain doesn't wanna brain today. I'll ask Glen tomorrow. If I'm up to it, I'll stream tomorrow evening too.

Hello

Hi, my name that I go by is Shmeegals. I don’t want to say my real name in case i never make it famous. I love to write and draw and i figure a page that isnt to popular will be the best place. I have come here to share my stories and my thoughts. i want to make it like a personally diary in a way. I may even write my book on here. The Lion’s Mew

The lion is told to have gargantuan presence; the soul must be loud and powerful, fierce in its approach. 

Yet the lion, having been born with the ability to master everything, the feral mane, and a prowl that haunts the memory, possessed the personality of a timid and diminutive kitten afraid of its own shadow. 

The Lion’s world, consumed by an incalculable number of lions, lost meaning. This Lion did not act as it should, as was expected, as was accepted. The Lion, in a world of lions, became a pariah. 

Grueling day after grueling day, the Lion stalked within the fields of swift tall grass, astute golden eyes peeking between the edges to the open Savanna, despising all its seen. 

For this Lion did not look with eyes of the present moment, but the eyes of all time. The eyes of all time observed the other lions, observed their pasts, presents, and futures. 

In a growing fit of rage, the Lion mewed. The Lion mewed, offering affection,  friendship, opportunities, and dreams. 

For one second of one moment of the Lion’s entire life, every lion was aware. Every lion became aware of the Lion standing before them, emitting such conviction in the offer.

Every lion considered the benefactions, and simultaneously, refused to respond with rejection or “yes.” 

The Lion stalked back into the grass, as if to the tune of an adagio, only returning every red moon to mew in the night.

And it's back to the Saturday gig! It's packed here on this fall evening, but there is still room for you! All it takes is $20, and in return you get six decades of arcade goodness, all you can play! Using a bit of arcade math as @retro.electric.arcade own Nicole did, just by playing one game from each of our 62 old school arcade game which in most other places is 50 cents nowadays, you won't even get through half of our machines before you totaled $20. Never mind the 10 full-size enviro mental machines, most go for 1.50 per play minimum. That's 13 credits on any one machine. Or up to 40 credits on our old school pinball machines and 20 on our state of the art Stern and Jersey Jack machines. So when you acutally crunch the numbers, $20 (and psst, $15 on Sundays) is a bargain!

Okay, on to me. I'm still processing everything that went down on my trip to Connecticut, most of it great, some of it not so much. Make no mistake, I'm glad that I did it. I have thoughts, but it's going to have to wait until I record episode 69. I thought I had brought episode 68 with me to edit but alas, no. So I need to edit and post it first. I think I will do this either Sunday or Monday night and I will post it asap. As always, stay tuned!

Another beautiful sister modeling for me! This type of scarf is dyed in an ancient Japanese style called shibori. I'll tell you more about it later but it's one of my favorite methods of dyeing (but sooooo time consuming!). This weekend I've been in St George with a friend and have had an amazing time exploring and working on projects that are important to me. This is definitely one of them! This past few years have been a whirlwind roller coaster. I've been on so many ups and downs since 2013. Mostly downs. It took me awhile to get past all of the things that happened. I was left with just a shell of who I was. I had no idea what to do with all of the things that happened and were happening. Everytime something came up I felt as though it was just pushing me deeper into this hole. The hole that I dug myself to hide in. I am and have always been a person who internalizes everything. Even as a child, I didn't want anyone helping me. This, I have realized, can sometimes be my biggest downfall. Then one day, almost a year ago now, the most loveliest thing happened to me, and I started on my own path to finding Wicca, Paganism, and Witchcraft. I have spent as much time researching and watching videos as I possible could. For the first time in years, I have found something that feels so right. This path I'm going down has rejuvenated me as a person. Things are becoming so much more clear now. I'm feeling lighter....Happier even. I am so excited to finally start practicing this spring season. I am so excited to set up my first altar and spiritual space. I am so excited to let myself learn more about myself and more about the world. I am just excited to really go down this road. And for the first time in years, I am excited to see what the future holds for me.
