My biggest gripe with animal isn't even the controversial stuff it's the fact that whenever there's a movie starring a kapoor as a complicated angry young man it should have a soundtrack that absolutely wrecks an entire generation. It's supposed to ruin people. It should be that level of iconic. If it can't even give us that, then what's the point?

I asked my cousin about Kabir Singh movie bcz it's extremely hyped and two songs are very good. she said it's same old boring possessive jealous toxic you're only mine type romance between a guy and a girl.
And now I am very curious to watch the movie because frankly I actually love this dynamic when it's done right 🤣
Let's see when I end up watching it.

Adil Hussain regrets acting in Kabir Singh; calls it “misogynistic” and “embarrassing”
Actor Adil Hussain has sparked fresh conversation around Shahid Kapoor's controversial film Kabir Singh, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. In a recent interview on the YouTube channel AP Podcast, Adil revealed his deep regret for being a part of the movie.

Adil strongly disagreed with the film's message. "It legitimizes male misogyny," he said. "It legitimizes violence... and it glorifies it."
In Kabir Singh, Hussain played the role of Shahid Kapoor's college professor. "I liked the scene I did," Adil admitted, "So I thought the film would be good too." However, watching the final product left him feeling "embarrassed." He even expressed concern about his wife's potential reaction, stating, "She would be so angry if she sees this."

Artist’s responsibility
Artists hold the power of emotionally impacting their audience, the impact can range from just a hint of sentimentality while hearing a song or watching a movie to inspiring them to make life changing decisions. There have been many debates around it where people argue whether the artist should be held accountable for having this power. Let’s take for example a Bollywood movie called Kabir Singh. The main character is shown to be a misogynist and the female lead is very submissive in nature to where she doesn’t mind some of his decisions which would normally be considered harassment or demeaning in nature. While there is one side that says it’s not the job of the actors or director of the film to care about if it promotes misogyny, the audience should just watch it as a movie and not get inspired by it and the people who do it’s on them not the artists. The other side which involves a high percentage of woman, they counter the point by saying even if we just watch it as a movie there are other people out there who won’t and will get inspired by it and we will have to suffer because of it. While I do agree that logically it’s not the artist’s responsibility to care about how the other person takes it , you can’t put the blame of another person on someone else nor can you live your life based on other people’s decisions. But at the same time if you realise that this may influence people negatively and you still go ahead with it, while I may not blame the person I also won’t regard that person with high ethics.

I faced a similar dilemma when I created an animatic that compares the killing of animals for food to a world where humans are cut for food. While the overall impact of the film is positive, there is depiction of a nude female who is cut just like the chicken when drawing a comparison. My main worry was that I didn’t want the attention to divert from the topic of killing animals to how disturbing it is that a woman is being cut apart. To make sure the attention doesn’t divert and the wrong message doesn’t go ahead, I made the animation less gory and graphic where the organs are cut but the artstyle is simplistic and there is no blood spilled and the comparison is shown shot for shot so it instills the idea that it’s just a comparison and not anything else. To confirm this even further I took feedback from my peers and particularly my female peers. Upon positive feedback I decided to go ahead with the production of the film.
Animatic of the film:

Shahid Kapoor's Paparazzi Encounter: When Stars Need Space
In the shimmering glow of camera flashes, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput stepped out hand in hand, only to find themselves engulfed by a swarm of paparazzi. It was a typical night out for the couple until Kapoor's irritation became evident.
When Shahid Kapoor gets annoyed, it's hard not to see shades of his infamous character, Kabir Singh. On a recent evening, while out with his wife Mira Rajput, Kapoor lost his cool amidst the paparazzi frenzy that surrounded them.
In a video circulating online, Shahid and Mira can be seen making their way to their car after what seemed like a pleasant dinner. But as they walked, the flashing lights and pressing crowd visibly unsettled the actor.
"Guys, can you stop it? Please behave yourselves," Shahid implored the paparazzi, his frustration palpable. While Mira remained silent, Shahid ensured she safely settled into the car before turning back to face the relentless cameras, his displeasure evident.
The scene took a dramatic turn as the video was juxtaposed with the intense background score from the blockbuster film 'Kabir Singh', a role in which Shahid delivered a powerful performance.
Social media erupted with comments, with one user criticizing the paparazzi's invasive behavior, remarking, "Anyone would get irritated with cameras following them around 24/7." Another user quipped, "I swear he was going to turn into Kabir Singh."
Shahid Kapoor, known for his versatility, was recently seen in the successful romantic comedy 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya', alongside Kriti Sanon. His next venture, 'Deva', promises to be an action-packed spectacle.
While celebrities are accustomed to the spotlight, moments like these serve as a reminder that even stars crave moments of privacy and respite from the relentless gaze of the media. After all, behind the glitz and glamour, they are just like us, seeking a semblance of normalcy amidst the chaos of stardom.

You've heard of boy movies. Take that, but add a madman. I admittedly have daddy issues, but this was laughable for the entire 3:21 runtime. That runtime is concerning, even for a Bollywood movie. The director has these tropes: parents disapprove of the relationship, they rebel in front of their faces, etc but this one went over the top with lewdness and misogynistic quotes about body hair, lingerie, what turns you on... There is so much more that I can't even keep up. Is SRV okay? I wonder if he's an incel or just hates real women, so he creates these manic pixie dream girls. Rashmika was a good actress in the angry scenes, but the character had heart eyes every time sex was hinted it in the MOST unrealistic circumstances. And you take an indie actress like Triptii who is so underrated, take all possible lines from her, use her for a cheating trope, and why not end with a surprise pregnancy. WHAT.
Were there good parts? Sure. Every single song was amazing. Not good. AMAZING. I made it to the end after many days of pausing and resuming. Bobby Deol was SO GOOD for a non speaking role, but was the sign language real? If so, better... But I seriously don't think it was real. Anil crying redeemed him for me at the end. It was nice to see and recognize older actors like Shakti and Prem Chopra. Rashmika's slaps and fight scenes were so good. Ranbir's bare chest covered in blood at the very end did something for me. And alas like a marvel film with too many endings, I did not expect the Animal Park trailer, and I was deeply turned on by Ranbir's white shirt covered in blood. I'm so over his flop movies and there were plenty of scenes that confirmed he is medium ugly, so it might just be a blood thing. More of my personal issues to work on!
Overall I would never watch it again or recommend it to anyone ever :) Kabir Singh was a more believable love story with no real violence. Watch that instead.

That's the whole movie right here

by the way im literally not kidding when i was younger i used to imagine and romanticize falling in a love with a college senior and him being very dangerously possessive over me, locking me up in his dorm room, controlling my social life, him guiding me with my coursework.
and then i joined a college with no men in it
#so kabir singh the movie is technically me living out that fantasy#the joys of life (sarcastic)#txt
