"Are you... kidding me?"

That was the first thing that came out of Kaigaku's mouth when you asked him to marry you without any doubt. He was astounded to the max, which made you chuckle.

"I'm serious. You. My Husband." you said, emphasising your goal to make him your husband. Kaigaku blushed and looked away, trying to shoo you with his hand, but then you caught it and stared directly into his eyes.

"Don't you want to be with me?"

Asking that made Kaigaku bite his lower lip. He was too flustered to answer. And of course, knowing this man, he wouldn't answer you, as he isn't comfortable showing his vulnerability.

You sighed and let go of his hand, feeling a bit sad as no answer came from him. You were about to go when suddenly he pulled you into a deep kiss, which definitely caught you off-guard.

When both of you pulled out, you looked into his eyes once again, but this time more shocked than ever. "Kaigaku..."

"That's the answer to your question earlier."

"Oh, which one?"

Kaigaku rolled his eyes and crossed his arms again, blushing madly. "The second one... idiot."

"So how about the first one? Marry me?"

"Yeah. I'll marry you."

And with that, you threw yourself on him for a hug, which he returned. You don't know, but Kagaku was smiling as he wrapped you in his arms. He loves you so much. He just doesn't know how to express it.

Tamayo

She definitely likes just being in your company but I feel like she’d also find a lot of ease in you being within arms reach while she works on Nezuko’s medicine!

Sometimes she just gets so engrossed in her work on long days that she doesn’t even realize when she’s overworking herself, so having you there to gently squeeze her hand or rub her back always brings her out of it

Enmu

He loves surprising you!!

Sudden hugs from behind, running up and happily holding your hand, leaning over to rest his head on your shoulder, he’s all about it

Would obviously love it any time you did the same for him because it just reminds him how happy you both are being so close to each other!

I feel like he’d mostly love just hugging you around the middle, resting his head on your shoulder, just snuggling close, being as clingy as he wants with you happily patting his head, reminding him how happy you are that he’s close

Rui

Oh definitely a hand holder 1000%

I feel like he likes specifically leading you around, holding tight onto your hand, able to always feel you right there alongside him

After all, Rui has a big home, so he’s moving around a lot throughout the day, but that just means you get to follow him around, your hand in his the whole time, giving gentle little affirming squeezes to tell him you’re always right behind him

Honestly feel like he’s also the type to love being able to just lean his head on your shoulder

After all, he’s a kid at heart

Loves to just take breaks throughout the day, slowly tipping over until his head finds your shoulder, and before he can pull back in surprise, he’s enveloped by calm, knowing he can rest his head

Kaigaku

He likes hugging you from the side, his arm around your shoulders, keeping you beside him, reminding himself you haven’t moved on and left him behind

He doesn’t always find it easy to communicate verbally, to say, “I need you here,” so little moments like these are his saving grace

You were able to pick up on this behavior and now gladly go to his side, leaned close, whenever you see his eyes darting around anxiously, his fingers twitching, needing to hold you in his arms.

Definitely likes long hugs like 100%

He’s the type to give your hand gentle little squeezes throughout the day, his own little way of saying how much he loves you, how grateful he is to have you, how happy he is with someone by his side

Daki

Also a huge hand holder!!

Hear me out, she’d like it when you just take her hand and take all her worries away, leading her around, taking care of things for the time being, and she can just trail behind you like a little girl again

In general she likes being able to just reach out and hold your hand tight, especially in suffocating crowds in the entertainment district

She may have aged more than other demons who were turned at such a young age, but her heart is still just as youthful at times

“Don’t worry, Daki, just follow me, don’t worry about a thing today, you just relax, and I’ll take care of it,” takes more weight off her shoulders than you could ever know, and she can finally breathe easy for the day again

Gyutaro

He’s also accustomed to holding Daki’s hand, since it’s his own way of knowing he’s protecting the ones he loves, so he definitely holds yours all the time

Also just likes to hold you close when he can, clinging to you, his head over your shoulder, eyes closed peacefully, because you’re in his arms, and you’re alright

Not only does he like to hold your hand but he likes having you really close, right up against him, even so that your arm is against his, and he almost finds it comforting to be like a shield between you and any particularly infuriating guests of Daki’s, should they feel the need to get close to you

HUGE enforcer of your boundaries, makes sure no one comes close enough to even share the same damn air as you unless he knows them or you tell him it’s okay

Nakime

She never knew how comforted she was by being able to even just sit with you

She gets lonely in that big, empty castle, you know? Having you beside her on slow days is a treasure

Nakime personally doesn’t know how much lots of physical contact does for her, but that’s not to say she doesn’t want you there

Even just sitting beside her on her platform in the castle, that’s what she likes, it’s minimal and enough to remind her that you enjoy the time you spend with her, enough to just sit in comfortable silence

Akaza

Hugs, hugs, more hugs

He enjoys holding you tight, specifically right to his chest, arms around your middle, head over your shoulder, keeping you away from the big bad world out there

Also gets comfort from holding your hand when he can, able to tug you close when he feels something’s up

We all know Akaza can sense bad vibes from miles away, so in general, he’s always kind of on guard, so having your hand in his basically all day brings him peace of mind

Whenever you two rest together, he likes resting his head atop yours with your face tucked into the crook of his neck, while he gently rubs your back, holding you tight, safe

Douma

What kind of physical contact does he not cherish????

He‘s unable to bear a single waking moment without you as it is, you better know he’s barely able to sit still if you're not within arms reach

“Douma, you’re holding me kinda tight…” well, you’re just gonna have to get used to it, he’s not budging 

(Obviously he doesn’t push your limits!)

There’s also moments after long, frustrating days with his followers where you just know how much relief it brings him to just tug you into his arms and hide his face in your shoulder, breathing in your scent, forgetting the world for a moment

When you two sleep, he’s always huddled up close, his head on your chest, the tension in his body slowly but surely melting away as you gently card your fingers through his hair, telling him about your day, letting him listen to a voice he does want to listen to for hours and hours

Kokushibo

To his own surprise, even, he likes having you right up against him, held protectively, at all times

Yes, even his energy is enough to keep most pesky threats away, but that’s not why he keeps you so close

He gets relief in hearing your breath, feeling warmth in your skin, even just feeling the smallest movements you make, they comfort him, because you’re still there, you’re okay, and you don’t plan on going anywhere if it’s not with him

It’s instinctive, but he’ll have moments where, if he isn’t too sure about an upcoming environment, he’ll hold you tighter and pull you to his side, turning so that he has you to one side, the road ahead on his other, like a castle wall between you and anything he doesn't know is safe

Whenever he clings to you, he buries his face in your shoulder, or nuzzles into your hair a bit, things saturated in the scent of his dearest companion

He’s most peaceful when he can calmly take in your scent without it being tense, or sad, or scared, like it is when you two are out on missions, as Upper Moons

No, behind closed doors, he doesn’t want the smell of another Upper Moon that he patrols with or is currently investigating something with…he wants only the scent of the one he loves, without a care in the world

Muzan

Like Kokushibo, he finds it almost like second nature to come between you and harm

He also likes holding your hand tight, practically at all times, which surprised you at first

You first really noticed it when you two were just roaming the streets of Asakusa, and someone bumped your shoulder, which caused Muzan to nearly tug you right up to his chest the moment there was any tug on your held hands

When he works, it’s like an anchor to be able to hold you

He likes to keep you in his arms when he’s sat at his desk, and is grateful when you stand nearby and follow him when he shuffles about his workshop, always within arms reach

Sometimes, he really just needs to pull you in and hold you, taking a few shaky breaths to calm his mind and refresh before returning to his research

Sure, he’s the Demon King, but underneath that title is the heart of a man who just wants to finally be able to rest, and you give him as many moments of peace as you possibly can

Let me introduce you guys to the worst friend group ever made!

Not a SINGLE person here is sane or normal. This ended up being much longer and lore heavy so I made a key, just in case anyone only wanted lore about certain characters

Michikatsu lore has his name is highlighted pink

Genya Lore has his name highlighted purple

Lord Founder Inosuke Lore has his name highlighted green.

Tanjirou Lore has his name highlighted red.

Kaigaku Lore has his name highlighted blue.

Genya was picked up by Michikatsu when he was sixteen about a hundred years before the Taisho era. Michikatsu used to train demon apprentices in the hopes that one day he could find someone capable of defeating Muzan, but every one of them besides Genya either died or betrayed Michikatsu, and he’s since sworn off the practice of turning anyone into a demon.

Genya is extremely loyal to Michikatsu, and this is mostly due to Genya believing that Michikatsu is the only one who can train him to achieve his one life goal; killing the Upper Moon Three, his older brother.

Tanjirou does not start out as Michikatsu’s apprentice; in fact the first of Tanjirou’s friends is actually Lord Founder Inosuke! They meet a couple months after Tanjirou’s demonization and due to some unfortunate circumstances, Inosuke ends up losing his cult and gaining a massive grudge against both the demon slayer corps and Douma The Ice Hashira.

(Note; Inosuke is NOT a demon, and I will be drawing up a full backstory on him when I get the chance)

Inosuke believes Tanjirou to be a forest spirit rather than a demon, and believes himself to be a literal god, and although when he and Tanjirou are alone, Inosuke acts very much like the loud, boisterous boy we’re familiar with, he acts almost unrecognizable when meeting other humans, presenting himself as a kind, considerate sage with a serene smile… a lot like cannon Douma…

Genya comes in after the corps catches up to Tanjirou and Inosuke at Mount Natagumo, where the two became entangled with both Rui and the corps.

Tanjirou and Inosuke are taken in by Michikatsu after escaping with Genya, as Michikatsu sees in Tanjirou a demon who could possibly be capable of defeating Muzan.

Michikatsu has mixed emotions towards Tanjirou, because it’s difficult for him to trust any demon, especially one that seems so pure and ‘human’. The matter is not helped by the fact that Tanjirou is able to perform sun breathing. Even after so many centuries, even after defecting, Michikatsu’s insecurities regarding Yoriichi run deep.

Inosuke believes Michikatsu to be a demigod, and constantly pesters him about training as well as insisting that Michikatsu should become his vice leader when he reestablishes his cult. If Michikatsu could go bald, it would be because of Inosuke pestering and stressing him out.

Genya and Tanjirou grow extremely close, Tanjirou winning him over much like in cannon. Despite their vastly different circumstances, their dynamic doesn’t change much.

Genya and Inosuke fight as much as they get along. It’s either they are both united in a goal and will annihilate or eat everything that stands between them and victory, or they fight like feral cats. There is no peace with them in the same room.

Kaigaku is the last member of the nightmare friend group.

Initially, Kaigaku is a demon slayer who intends to kill Tanjirou for the glory of being the boy who killed the sun-resistant demon, but he ends up switching sides after getting his ass handed to him by a now Moon-breathing-trained Tanjirou.

Tanjirou, as is typical for himself, tries to befriend Kaigaku. It works better than Kaigaku wants to admit. At first, he’s hostile to Tanjirou’s kindness, and openly scoffs at the way Tanjirou sees the world, but over time, Tanjirou starts to have an effect on Kaigaku, making him actually take a look at himself for the first time.

Michikatsu is NOT a fan of Kaigaku. He refuses to train him or demonize him- both of which Kaigaku pleads for the second he learns that Michikatsu is capable of doing so. Eventually, Kaigaku does go through some character development and realizes that he does not want to become a demon, but until then, Michikatsu openly despises Kaigaku and his suck-up ways.

Kaigaku and Inosuke get along the worst out of anyone. This is mostly because Kaigaku absolutely refuses to entertain Inosuke’s self-image as a divine being and is openly dismissive of and hostile towards him because he was never a demon slayer and is not a demon, leading Kaigaku to think little of his abilities. Inosuke doesn’t often deal with humans disliking him, so he thinks that Kaigaku is possibly possessed by a foul evil and frequently tries to execute absurd exorcisms and cleansing rituals on him. Inosuke literally PRAYS on Kaigaku’s downfall.

They do eventually find a mutual respect, but I’m not sure if they ever get around to actually… liking each other.

Genya and Kaigaku get along better than you might expect. They both share complicated feelings for their demon brothers and they both can be more grounded at times than Tanjirou and Inosuke. Still, Genya trusts Kaigaku about as much as he trusts a pile of trash, and when Kaigaku learns this, it also causes him to consider why— and consider changing. From Genya, Kaigaku learns loyalty and what it means to respect your family bonds.

Rating KNY characters on how well they can play rhythm games!: Upper Moon Edition!

This came to me in a vision and I must share!

Kokushibo 0/10

Kokushibo can kill. He can slay hordes of demon hunters without breaking a sweat. Put a tablet in front of him? He's done.

In battle, he's quick on his feet and a fast thinker. But something about the bright shapes flying across the screen got him pressing them three years after they pass, even with six eyes.

It's a challenge to get him to even play. Saying that human games are trivial to him and does not wish to partake. Will probably get a few seconds into the song before quitting.

"This is pointless. Goodbye."

Douma 9/10

Scarily good. After the initial "shock" of seeing a tablet, Douma is clearing songs with ease.

He's got a good sense of rhythm and can keep up with the notes. He prefers games with female casts as well. They're just nicer to look at in his words.

Scratches the screen of your tablet with those nails of his. Be cautious when using it after he's done with it, you might cut yourself on the glass.

That is if you can get it out of Douma's grasp. This screen is so interesting, you can't just take it away!

"Hey, I'm still using it... Come on, just one more song!"

Akaza 2/10

He can keep up well enough, but his sense of rhythm outside of fighting is awful. He's too focused on trying to hit the buttons that he can't keep up with the beat.

Akaza will get frustrated very quickly. He'll keep trying as he keeps getting mad. Saying he'll beat the next one. He's not stopping until he beats a song, or until your tablet is in pieces. Whichever comes first.

You can offer to put the game on an easier setting, but he wants to play on an even harder setting, just to prove he's better than a scrap of metal. It's a never ending cycle of frustration.

"No! I don't need it to be easier! You know what? Make it harder. I'll show you!"

Hantengu 0/10

Bad all around. No sense of rhythm and can't keep up with the notes. Hantengu gets angry to the point of tears, which makes it even harder for him to play. Didn't even want to try at first.

While he's quick in battle, he's still an old man from the Taisho Era. The bright, flashing graphics of the game overwhelm him and he just can't focus on one thing.

Another one to scratch the screen with his nails. He'd press down hard too, leaving pretty deep scratches.

Gets too frustrated and rage quits, not even finishing a song.

"I-I don't want to do this anymore!"

Nakime 9/10

Amazing sense of rhythm and can keep up with the notes like a seasoned player. Not a fan of most of the song choices. She's a fan of traditional sounds. Modern day pop, electronic, etc. is not for her.

It's a challenge to get her to play as well. She doesn't acknowledge your asking for a while. You really gotta pester her if you want her to play.

Nakime is skilled with her biwa even with her nails. She gets a bonus point for not scratching the life out of your tablet.

"Fine...I will try your music game."

Gyokko 5/10

Thinks he's above anything you'd have to offer, even if it was from modern times. You'll have to really butter him up for him to even think about playing.

Requests are always open, I just might take a while in some. Don't worry, if anyone wants me to right anything as long as it follows the rules of the blog, I will. I did promise to do this if anyone wanted so to this I will add Gyokko and Nakime, so:

You were told you would be, not only courting Kokushibou, but staying with him to search the family that leads the Demon Slayer Corps, Ubuyashiki.[Muzan got tired of Kokushibou not finding anything and started to relate it to him just not searching at all, so you are there to remind him and motivate him to do so.]

Kokushibou was not very happy with these news,offended that a man wanted to court him and give him the traditional women's role, but accepted gracefully the orders. At first, he only ever ignored you, but you slowly, very slowly, managed to spot what would awake his attention as you both searched through all Japan (it gave you more time the fact uou disn't know how to recognize the Ubuyashiki he send you after and Kokushibou seemed to get lost in his mind more often than not). But even after he was not the one to start a conversation, he prefered to spend time in quietness and quiescence. He barely eats, barely does anything other than meditate and practice his breathing forms. It's like he's more a slayer than a demon, but you don't mind.

Kokushibou just doesn't take anything you offer he doesn't like, and it takes you months to figure out his taste in gifts and food. Turns out he likes handicrafts, not buyed or stolen, but actually made from the one who gives the gift, not caring for quality of the product, but for the effort. You found out since he had a small and horribly done bamboo flute with a clean cut in his robes, when you tried to make another flute he also kept it. "It's.... I feel like you care. The fact that you did it yourself... It's personal." So you use rocks, paper, bamboo, clothing, wood and other things you find and steal to try and make jewelry, fans, karakuri boxes, origami and so. He always takes them, even the ones that are made poorly.

As for the food, again, he barely eats, but you only have ever seen him eat swordsmen, mostly samurais, but it's like everytime they are harder to find [the samurai class was abolished at 1868]. You decide to motivate him into trying new meals, he doesn't eat old men nor slayers, but you later find out he didn't even like the taste of the samurai "I don't know why, but it feels right for them to die by a demon." You did find a new favorite, buddhist monks, the closer to the Nirvana the better.

He doesn't like to be called anything other than his name, and he prefers the use of honorifics. He is also not kin in starting physical contact, but with time he starts accepting your approaches. Most of the time he just likes to sit down and listen you talk or having you hughing him in silence. There are times he starts conversation, he talks a lot in those, being more a monologue than anything else.

"I only want to become the best. Become more than... but it doesn't matter anymore. Right now you want to become part of my life, you wanted that so badly you went to Muzan-sama for it, and for some reason he decided to grant you what you wanted. I don't understand what he saw in you, but... your presence is now something important. Just make sure to always be behind me, reaching for me, and I will always be near to accept you." Honestly, he always speaks so cryptically you gave up in the meaning bahind of what he says, he never explains it. But you try your best to be understanding.

You spend hour days moving and searching, everytime you act more like a nomad married couple, but you never get a ceremony. Kokushibou would only like something 100% traditional and samurai cultured [just like his human marriage was], but with the timeline, you both being male, you both being demons, none of you having families, money or knowing your ancestors, it's just impossible.

"I don't mind if we stay like this forever, just you and I." He whispers against your embrace one day. This is still good, after all.

Douma:

When you asked Douma permission to court him, he was already taking you him for you to get the blessing. Douma was very interest in what you had to offer, but to be fair, he genuinely though he would kill you or you would cower down, but none of them happened. Once you asked for the blessing he only looked at you both with anger and disgust, and the second his eyes where focused on you only, you could sense a mix of indignation, confusion, pity, disappointment and indecision. At the end he only sighs and told you to get lost and that he is not dealing with it. "Oh, well. He didn't say no. I guess we are courting now, aren't we?" And that is how started.

Douma has a hard time not being the center of attention, so the traditional female role suits him just fine. He likes how often you go to his place and always invites you to stay over. He is very kin in petnames, but to your surprise he likes also more feminine ones, and doesn't mind being called "Princess" or other nicknames specifically adressed for women. "Being called princess feels nice, it's a very pretty way to call someone in a golden cage, stuck in a throne they were born to sit it. I would just adore it if you called me that."

Douma is always way too honest with you, sometimes dumping into you informations and expreriences that are actually traumatizing but he doesn't seem to care. He also likes when you validate his feeling, even the ones he doesn't actually feel. Other times he wants you to go against him, only for the sake that he can do anything he wants and nobody would stop him. You wonder if that is how he expresses freedom, since he already told you he has been all his life inside this cult as a if he was a living Buddha statue.

He is ok with any gift, every gift. No matter what you get him, he never shows preference. There was only two gifts that definetely managed to get through him. Those two you gave him in a desperate attempt for him to show any type of reaction for what you gave him instead of a "Oh, lovely. I will save them in the warehouse so nothing happens to them." It was a broken nichirin blade (now looking like a knife) and wisteria poison the same user of said blade had with them. Douma always carries them with him. "My mother killed my father with a knife, and then she poisoned herself. It was my first encounter with death, these gifts make me nostalgic. My heart never beat so fast before that and I remember wanting to leave but not being able to move. Is that what disgust feels like?" Should you regret giving him that?

It's well known Douma eats woman like a drunk drinks alcohol, so you thought his favorite meal is something that could only be found in a female human body, like the uterus, breast, ovaries, fetuses, unborn babies, placenta or something like that. To your surprise, he likes to eat the heart the most, still full of blood, hopefully, since it's an organ very mild-tasting, but tender. He likes any healthy heart, and getting those is rather easy. He also sometimes likes to eat human food, only for the sake of being able to eat anything he feels like and the sickness it brings. "You would be a good husband, taking care of me like now when I do something fun but stupid. You would stay with me forever after our marriage, wouldn't you?"

In the end, after a year of courting, he sends his followers to prepare the wedding under your guiding, he isn't really part of the process and makes no effort to be so. You end up as his consort inside his cult, the marriage is a peaceful one, but you still try every day to try and make Douma feel hapiness. Still trying. At least you had a great ceremony, expensive and big, with everyone of Douma's followers watching with joy. After the ceremony Douma picked a cult member that fitted the best in your taste and shared him with you. "Now, as a part of me, you should be able to give eternal life to this people, inside of you. Living forever just as they wished from the start, now witnesses of our beautiful love story."

(Also, Douma tried to invite Akaza to the wedding, it didn't work.)

Akaza:

You asked Akaza permission first, he stays paralyzed for straight ten minutes, lost hin his mind with a disturbed face. His first reaction, after he shakes his head, is to tell you you would need his blessing. At first he denies you, but before you manage to leave he tells you he changed his mind. That Akaza is very hardworking and deserves to be spoiled a bit, so you better make him feel good. [Muzan did want to give you to Akaza as a reward, but also as something that would motivate him to get even stronger and work even harder.] "I didn't expect him to... forget it. Just don't get in my way, we need to look for a damn blue spider lily or whatever."

It takes him a while to warm up to you, but even before that he gets protective and doesn't let you out of his sight. He doesn't even care for the fact you are a man, just that you are there and safe. He also seems to like when you call him a certain pet name "my Komainu", you call him because of how protective he is, sometimes you call him "Haku" as it's shorter. He seems both sad and happy at the same time when you do. He even has told you he likes it more than his own name, for some reason.

He is bad taking gifts, for some reason he always worries too much about the price or starts to fret if they were stolen. "Just sto doing that! It's not like I need anything, it's just some stuff. You are only causing trouble, running around and stealing like that will only make you lose your hands! And he will kill himself!" Sometimes he says things that don't make sense even to himself, but he worries a lot. Still, you know he likes pink and snowflake patterns. So you try to make your own gifts with those traits, he keeps everything close, tidi and clean.

Akaza is very vocal in not eating women, small children (he can eat teens), nor sick people. While he likes to kill weak and coward people, he is not fond on eating them. He likes to eat slayers and swordsmen, so it's a bit hard for you to get the meals he likes without dying at the process, but you manage. He is a very messy eater, he destroys more of the body than he eats, but spends a good time doing so. It's like he hates the food, likes the taste and, as any other demon, loves to eat. Still, he prefers relying on training than in eating.

"You are not a bad guy yourself, thank you for... taking care of me. Taking me in." You train with him amd try to adapt to his eating paterns, in result, you get stronger. No way near to an Upper Moon level, and definetely not as fast and efficient as eating woman would be, but you are very strong. Plus, you manage to catch a Marechi with the traits Akaza likes twice or thrice in the courting years, which helped. "You are every day stronger and helthier, make sure to take care of yourself. I will still protect you, but don't do anything stupid."

You spent five years courting him, Akaza was very hesitant on accepting to marry you. "It's not that I don't love you, Y/N. I would love to be your husband, that you vould be my husband but... but you will die! I don't know why or how but you will die amd it will be my fault! I won't be able to protect you!" He rambles, clearly distressed, the first time you ask him, you have to embrace him and cuddle him for around a week. It takes a lot of time, but you manage to reassure him everything will be ok.

You both prepare the wedding, slowly, very slowly, even with the limited resources. You make sure to listen what he wants. A ceremony on winter, under the snow, with fireworks at the end, at an specific town, a small event, and then to go home. He gets scared and needs a pause for every preparation you make and item you steal, but you don't mind waiting. You managed to fool a young buddhist to marry you both, it was a beautiful ceremony. Akaza cried during it, then spend the rest of the month cuddling and crying with you. "Please don't die, don't die. I beg you, stay with me. Don't die, don't fucking die on me. Please."

You keep taking care of him after you get married, and he stills hugs you everytime as if you would die the moment he lets you go. Sooner or later he will realize nothing will happen to you, but for now you must be ready to comfort him and calm him down.

(Also, the second Douma found out Akaza was married and he wasn't invited, he decided to make a second wedding by himself ans his followers, forced you into it so he could be in it.)

Nakime:

How did you even get here? Like, again? The second you asked permission to court her she threw you out of the Infinity Castle, only to bring you back with her and him in less than a day later. Guess what, you've got the permission, the blessing and even an order from him. How? Why? No idea. [Yes idea. Have you seen Nakime's blood art? Also the fact she dislikes men in general and Muzan, who may disguise as much as he wants but is still a HE, forces her to welcome them in her home? She is too important to lose, so your job is to make like you enough so if she wants to rebel he can have something on her that would not kill her.] But who are you to say no to him, even with Nakime glaring dagger towards you.

The first weeks everytime you try to speak to her she sends you somewhere else. You are lucky that because of his orders, she doesn't throw you at the sun or starve you. It takes you a year for her to stop toying around with you.

Even before that you were getting her gifts and food. You did the basics, get her biwa strings and other materials sl she can take care of the instrument. [She doesn't really need them since her biwa is part of her blood art, it maintain itself, but she liked the gesture and the attention]. She also likes kimono's, she kept most of what you got her, some of them were not of her liking, but besides that, the feeling of filling a wardrobe made feel wealthy, but you have seen her wearing them. She is not a person of jewelry, but she kept a few of the ones you got her, mostly the ones for her hair. Every once in a while you find with one of those with part of her hair pulled up.

Her diet are mostly men, drunk men to be more clear. It's a weird taste since the slcohol tends to ruin the blood, and it's even more weird that she actually likes the lungs and vocal cords, but you don't comment on it. You had to ask him for this information since you never once saw her eat before you.

"I appreciate the gifts." It was the first time she said to you two years after you asked permission to court her. She was never the one to hold long conversations, and you were not the exception, but she did like to play and sing for you. You always show interest in her music, and she likes the positive attention. She likes when you call her nicknames related to music. You ask Gyokko permission first, he only allows it because, of course you are enamored by him! Who in their sane mind wouldn't? If you want to show appreciation, then who is he to deny you? He will let you court him, but warning. One mistake and you're out.

When you asked him for the blessing, he looked at you for seconds as if you said both the most stupid yet interesting question one could ask. After a few seconds he decided that it wasn't his business and told you to do as you pleased. Gyokko was a bit offended by this but there wasn't anything anyone could do.

As for gifts, Gyokko likes art in general, so you could get him pieces or material for his pots. He appreciates it very much, since you show attention to his interests. "Oh, Y/N! You've got such a good taste! I may consider you as a husband later on, such a beautiful pigments, and you say they are foreign! I don't care if you stole them or buyed them, but I would love if you got me~" And to your surprise, his favorite art collection is actually the Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji fron Hokusai. "Stamping is, in my humble opinion as an artist, crass. But still, the motive is beautiful and has a very nice display of perspective." You get him the 46 prints.

❥ Kaigaku is still cocky as fuck sometimes. If he wouldn't be, then who is he? But then you managed to create a certain balance within him, despite all his moral dilemmas. The Demon would usually soften up when he saw you in his missions, making him want to protect you more than ever now that he has more power to do so.

❥ And when we say power, we mean it. Kaigaku's powerful, and thankfully, he's using it for the Corps and not against you all. A part of you is sad that Kaigaku would eventually see you get old and eventually die, but that's what life is. You're sad that he chose to be a demon before, but you're also happy that he's trying his best to do lots of great things despite being one.

❥ You will sometimes see Kaigaku doing some weird-ass contest with other slayers for fun, even if he knows he will win. This usually makes you smile, as somehow your lover starts to have his own group of friends. Unlike before, when he was too busy in his own world.

❥ Kaigaku seems to be wiser now. With the way he speaks and deals with problems. He's a demon, but he makes sure to resolve things as fast as possible now that "We don't have much time." He has all the time in the world, but he still doesn't want you to feel alone.

❥ And yes, when we say fights, we mean that Kaigaku could kill other demons in one slash before they could even touch you. He's protective and very loving. You know that. So, at the end of the fights, he would usually be the one who gained wounds.

❥ He clearly knows that he could heal those wounds in one instant, but Kaigaku would let them on his body because of two things. The first is because he wants to feel human again. He kind of misses that. The second is because he wants you to take care of him.

❥ A demon lover also means that he's active at night. And when we put night and activity together, it'll definitely end with you screaming in pleasure as he shows you how much he has missed you.

❥ You love Kaigaku so much, despite all his flaws. So even if you know that you're weaker than him now, you still do your best to protect him and make him happy. You will sometimes find yourself sitting on the engawa with him, just looking at the stars after a long night.

"Do you miss it?" "Miss what?" "The sun?" "Oh that. Yes."

❥ Kaigaku would often be saddened because he couldn't watch the sunrise and sunset with you now, even if he wanted to.

❥ You would often end up embracing your demon lover and soothing him, sharing his dream to see the sun once again.

❥ But of course, one day, you'll never know if a cure will come and your lover will finally come back to you in his original form. All you feel now is too much love for Kaigaku. As long as you're here, you'll definitely keep him together and away from the demonic things he sometimes wants to try.

Kaigaku is very delusional with how you view him. He genuinely believes you love him too since he is the only one able to be around you for longer than a few seconds. He constantly rants his rotten heart out to you, processing your words as signs of love

Kaigaku is willing to shed blood for you. Those annoying exes of yours will disappear all so suddenly whilst bringing you back evidence with their ugly hearts. You should have freaked out but you aren’t and that flares up his love for you

I would like to make another headcanon request for Kokushibo, Hantengu and Kaigaku with a reader who's blind. They could see when they were much younger, but now most of their vision is lost, and they have difficulty navigating at night. At first they didn't even recognized the other as a demon but were very accepting when they found out. Now they hate to be away from their demon partner and would rather spend every minute with them. I can also see them utilizing their condition to lure in victims (by asking for help) for their demon to eat.

Ever since he met you, alone and lost, he felt pity that you had been left to nothing for something out of your control

Of course, you were just like him, so he would protect you if it meant protecting his own ego

But you were so kind, and you didn't say anything cruel or judgemental to him, he could go as far as to say you depend on him

He liked that a lot, it made him feel special

Being apart of him, the clones didn't touch you either, either amused by your lack of sight, feeling pity, overtaken by anger at those who wronged you, or liking having something so new around

Fortunately all their eyes were different, save for Hantengu and Sekido, so it was easy to tell them apart if not for their personalities

In no way was the Upper four weak, but sometimes he was a bit...scared

He noticed how you attracted people to him, and how easy it was for him to kill once secluded

So you did it more so he could kill, instead of his clones

You empowered him and all of his egos, fueled him and made him far more powerful

God forbid someone you're luring try to harm you, they'd be dead before they can even realise what's happening, and left to rot

Him and the clones don't find trash all that delicious

Kaigaku

He found you quite pathetic all things considered

Lost with no one around, stumbling and trying to find some kind of light so you could gather your bearings

Those electric blue eyes of his, they pulled you into a false sense of hope

But through your words, so unknowing of who he was, you convinced him to humour you for awhile, as if playing a game

Kaigaku gets attached similar to how you do, but far more possessive and jealous

In a messed up way he likes that you can't see well because it means you'll only ever know him best

The fact that only he can protect you and keep you safe gives him a superiority complex, but he rarely beats down onto you about it

Your kindness is hard to combat, but he does act like he hates it

In his months as a demon, it was hard to find people to kill without making a scene, and when you saw him starving like that, you convinced yourself you could bring someone back

And with a false story about someone robbing you, three men were lured into your shared home for the slaughter

He kept it clean so you wouldn't get sick- not that you'd really notice- and since then encouraged the behaviour

Once he heard a group of people bullying you for falling in mud after you slipped

It was the only time he decided to make a real mess, leaving trails of organs across the street for all to see

You had to move but he found a better place anyways

Kokushibo

Kokushibo can be very quiet, so when you call out to him or he feels the need to say something, it usually scares you half to death

Once caught your arm moments from hitting him because you felt something on your neck and figured it was an insect- it was his breath

Tends to be unhelpful because he wants you to adapt as much as you can, and to remain independent

But on the rare occasion he'll allow you to cling to his sleeve and step slowly through darkened places

Might let you get minor injuries from walking into things but he would never allow you to gain a scar

The first time you lured someone, it was an accident

He had left without telling you, and in a panic you yelled out for him while falling

A hunter heard this and came to your aid, but Kokushibo had them handled moments before they even touched you

It happened mostly by accident

But if he was ever weakened, upset, or having trouble getting someone from a crowd?

He'll just say he needs a favour, and then leave you stranded in the street until someone comes prancing

If anyone does the opposite of helping and tries to harass you, he'll make sure their death is prolonged

Consider a thousand deep-ish wounds, so they can bleed out till morning

He'll start tearing up if you yell back at him.

He's actually nice to the uppermoons, when he's not upset about something.

Basically like the manchild they take care of, reverse of the mother spider demon who was actually the youngest of the group.

Demands that Hantengu turns tiny so he can cuddle him like a doll.

Kokushibo: Thinks it's strange, but still respects his lord, and protects him.

Douma: Sees him as adorable, like a child of his own (does not care how old Muzan is).

Akaza: Doesn't really like it, but respects his strength. He just thinks Muzan should act his strength and his age.

Gyokko: Hates it. He thinks Muzan is acting like a child, and we all know what he thinks about children.

Hantengu: His only complaint is the involuntary cuddling.

Nakime: Almost motherly to him, plays her biwa for him.

Daki: She makes fun of him a lot, but they do get along. They're like siblings almost.

Gyutaro: Oh god, he has two little crybabies to look after now, great.

Kaigaku: It reminds him of Zenitsu and he wants to stab his brains out every time Muzan starts crying.

What's kaigaku like in your pet au?

• Though he'll do everything possible to appear proud and confident in his worth, the reality is that he's a terrible coward who's desperate not to be seen as disposable. Despite his outward ego, once he's facing any kind of serious threat, Kaigaku quickly shows just how obedient and easy to control he really is. He's massively afraid of being thrown away (since that's a fast route to death), so he does whatever he can to remain appealing and worthwhile to whoever owns him at the time.

• He spent his early years living in fairly good conditions thanks to being able to bluff his way through life and make himself look good, even at the cost of sabotaging others. However, when one of those sabotage attempts was discovered, his owner at the time passed him on to a far less pleasant place. Kaigaku never recovered from the terror of being thrown out like that, and the fear of that (or worse) happening again still affects him greatly.

• Since the sabotage incident, he's lived in what amounts to a foster home, while his temporary owner attempts to find something more permanent. That owner is far from kind, however, and Kaigaku is left in a tense situation of doing everything he can to make a potential new home want him, while also trying to avoid the mistreatment in his current placement. All of the stress has made him tense and aggressive and desperate, with a twisted sense of arrogance meant to convince himself that he'll end up somewhere better, eventually. ...despite the growing doubt.

Hello! I wouldn't say exactly Revérse AU. Kaigaku is (in my opinion) one of the most WASTED characters in the entire series, more than a son of a bitch, I feel like we don't get to see ANYTHING of him to understand his motives. I understand you sister.

Kaigaku Inadama

He probably knew you from 1-the Wisteria house (those that appear in chapter 9) or 2-you are related in some way to Jigoro (his and Zenitsu's sensei).

Let's go for the first, there is already a lot of the second.

Definitely at first he didn't understand why you were so friendly, and it even got on his nerves thinking that it was some kind of facade to attack at any moment.

But seeing that it wasn't like that, he really doesn't know how to deal with someone so gentle and kind. Or why he feels the need to get your attention.

He tries to be his normal arrogant self, tease you a little, but most of the time he can't bring himself to be like that with you. Not when you take care of him with such gentleness, which he's not used to.

A glutton for your food, he doesn't say much when you bring him his daily portions, but he doesn't leave a crumb behind. He's a glutton for your cooking.

Although it may not seem like it at first, he is a good listener, while he eats and you talk to him, try to remember the things that you seem to like, so he can be more prepared to try to like you.

A great show-off! But that was already seen coming. Especially if you ask him to see his techniques, his ego (already through the roof) is going to skyrocket.

He may even be more dramatic with his injuries just so that you care for him and look at him more than the other patients, he is somewhat capricious, but be patient with him, he will live.

If we talk about more advanced terms of relationship, Kaigaku is quite protective of you, but not in the traditional way so to speak, he is protective without you knowing it most of the time, like giving death glares to those who he feels are talking bad about you to your back, or always having the katana nearby when they go out at night, you never know...

Although he definitely won't think twice about fighting with someone to defend your honor. Especially after knowing about your past with abuse, he won't tolerate it.

Kaigaku is BAD with emotions, but he definitely won't leave you suffering, if the PTSD attacks are being especially bad he will try to be there for you, mainly with physical contact (not suffocating). He will get better the more time he spends with you.

Speaking of, if the people who hurt you somehow come back into your life...haha. They better run, Kaigaku is going to hunt them (although you don't have to know that part).

What else is he supposed to do!? Someone as good as you... just won't let little shits get away with it.

He is not religious at all, but he will let you do what you need to feel safe, even if it doesn't make sense to him, he knows that in a world with demons, one needs to hold on to something.

If we talk about the timeline where he becomes a Demon, you already know who his first meals would be ;)

Even if he becomes a demon, I see him watching over you from a distance. If you join him, even better! It can protect you much better that way.

ALTHOUGH- I don't think he'll let you turn into a demon, not because he doesn't want to, he's just scared of the possibility that you will 1- die or 2- forget about him completely.

But if we talk about a timeline where he does NOT become a demon, it is most likely that he will try to make amends for what he did in the past in some way (what with Gyomei and partly Zenitsu, although it would not be easy).

Fortunately he always seems to regain energy when he comes to visit you, seriously, his companions literally don't understand how you have him so tamed (especially Zenitsu).

In general it is like having your own Bulldog, aggressive but loyal.

Genya Shinazugawa

You're going to be the death of this man--in a good way!

When he met you at the Mariposa mansion, he already couldn't handle the other nurses, but you insisted on taking care of him, which made it much worse.

He's obviously not mad at you! He just doesn't know how to handle his nerves. Although with your perseverance and soft personality, he learns to AT LEAST not stutter SOOOOO much in front of you and have a decent conversation(Progress!).

Being so gentle and friendly, it's only natural that he gravitates towards you. His mother, you remind him a lot of his mother. It hurts but at the same time it feels great.

So he tries to help you from time to time with the tasks you do around the mansion, like carrying heavy things or reaching something from a high shelf (we all know it's not a problem for him).

Although at first you thought he just honestly didn't like you, because of how he sulks when he's nervous, if it weren't for the other butterfly girls, maybe you wouldn't have noticed his Crush for you.

You would have to take several first steps, Genya simply wouldn't dare to do it without a CLEAR clue that he has a chance with you (my poor boy has self-esteem problems).

If we talk about more advanced terms of the relationship, Genya is still the shyer of the two, but he is more likely to initiate physical contact than when they were not a couple. Dude, holding hands, hugs from behind, stuff like that.

Genya is quite careful with you, mostly because he is somewhat afraid of scaring you with his appearance and height, especially when you tell him what you went through in the past.

He's obviously angry, and of course! Who would hurt someone as good as you!? They don't deserve to breathe. But it focuses more on comforting you about the situation.

He has his fair share of nightmares related to what happened that night, and while he's not very good at consoling, he does his best (and honestly he's better than Kaigaku in that department, he's like a teddy bear).

Thanks to Gyomei, he has some understanding of religion, so he sees your prayers as something .

Be grateful that you have something to draw comfort from.

LIVE-FOR-YOUR-FOOD-Did you see that drawing of him blushing while Aoi tries to get him to eat? That's you two at the beginning.

Although of course, now that they are in trust, he really appreciates when you bring him some bento after a mission (demons don't know well people). Take advantage of these moments to let him talk about your day and how it went while he was away.

Iguro Obanai + Mitsuri Kanroji

Mitsuri would try to keep in touch with you to make sure you were doing well, so to speak.

Obanai was the one who had the hardest time opening up to you, obviously, but with the help of Mitsuri and your attitude, I can start to be tolerant and little by little start to like you.

Obanai could empathize with you over the topic of the turbulent past, so he was able to overcome his "rejection" towards you much faster than one would expect thanks to this.

Mitsuri is ridiculously more obvious with her Crush on you, Obanai is more discreet, but in itself the fact that you are a woman, you are not Mitsuri and HE TOLERATES YOU is already enough of a clue for those who know him.

It's say that after your rescue you ended up at the Butterfly State. Obanai and Mitsuri will take advantage of any opportunity to check on you, have a chat with you, etc.

Mitsuri helps you with her enormous strength with heavy tasks, she can even carry you if you are very tired, don't worry, for her you don't even weigh like a bunch of grapes.

Obanai is quieter, but he accompanies you in day-to-day tasks, apart from the fact that he seems to be ruder to staff who are not especially YOU. Shinobu ends up serving as Cupid here and assigns you to him constantly.

If we talk about more advanced relationship terms, They are both a love and balance each other perfectly.

Mitsuri is much more chatty and cuddly, Obanai is more serious but gives meaningful gestures without the need for words.

Mitsuri is a great inspiration in general, Obanai is someone you can empathize with much more due to past experiences and certain shared feelings they come to have. Mitsuri does everything she can to stop them from thinking those things.

As I said at the beginning, it is most likely THEY who saved you, so they are more aware of your past related to abuse. They are very careful about it, especially Mitsuri because he doesn't want to go into unknown territory and make you feel bad, but he tries his best to make you feel better.

Obanai is better at dealing with crises, having gone through years of his own traumatic experience, he is better informed on the subject and will share everything about it with Mitsuri.

In general, both of them open up to you so that you feel more comfortable with them to tell them things and everything is as balanced as possible.

Obanai doesn't eat much, but he definitely tries to leave his plate empty to make you and Mitsuri happy.

Mitsuri LOVES your food, everyone does, but with Mitsuri's appetite, it's understandable that she'll be the one who eats the most of your desserts.

If those who hurt you return...it won't be for long, they will have a wild Obanai behind them while Mitsuri distracts you with some sword tricks along with Kaburamaru around your neck preventing you from turning your head to where Obanai is.

Even MITSURI would be eager for revenge, even if they don't want them dead, they want them to pay for harming someone as good and innocent as you.

They bring out the worst in her, so to speak.

Overall, they are a very balanced and loving trio. They make sure you NEVER feel vulnerable and unprotected again. Not their your guard.
