⋆ various men who melt when they see you in their clothes.
he sees you come out of the shower, all dressed and freshly moisturized for the night. yet, he can't help but stare at your perky nipples piercing through his shirt, which was barely giving you any justice, giving him a view of your boobs. his shirt was already enough to drive him crazy, but he finds you only wearing underwear underneath it.
he was ready to pounce on you and fuck you until you go limp.
the sight was too much for his cock to bear, as it started leaking precum all over his boxers. don't you know how hard he is for you? you effortlessly make him go crazy for you without having to do anything. ''are you gonna sleep, love?'' you ask him, but his hand reaches into his pants and palms his bulge. ''fuck- do you see what you do to me?'' he peels off the blanket on his lower half and gives you the sight of the outline of his cock.
you smile at him, deciding to give him a proper show, teasingly taking off your underwear in front of him. swaying your hips subtly, enough for his eyes to anchor onto your body. ''you tease.'' he said, finally getting up from the bed and pulling you in by your waist, sitting you on his lap.
he let out a small groan, feeling your wetness pool on his boxers, the warmth almost making him cum immediately. your hips wasted no time grinding on his cock, your aching clit gaining friction. ''such a good fucking doll for me.'' he praised.

Men who are so emotionally constipated, or have been through enough trauma that they don't... exactly... do well with touch, but are extremely touch starved and crave love beyond anything else physical.
Men who suddenly gain an adorable S/O who is willing to do all that and more.
Men, who suddenly find themselves having someone to come home to every night; who find themselves lying beside said person every night; who's willing to hold them for as long as necessary when it gets difficult; who refuses to abandon them no matter the circumstance.
Boyfriends, who find it difficult to truly express themselves when they want to, and get frustrated whenever they have that difficulty.
Boyfriends who find their S/O so attractive that they can't help themselves, so they end up blurting out the thoughts that come to mind.
.
Boyfriends who become your husband because he made that same mistake one day, and scrambled to grab the ring.
(The same ring that had been sitting in his pocket for the last three months.)

no thoughts, just alt bfs <33 he lets you dye his hair every other month, looking forward to sitting on the tiled bathroom floor between your legs while you perch on the rim of the bathtub, painting over his overgrown buzzcut. he likes to give your knees little kisses as his foot taps to some system of a down song you hum along to.
he'll happily accept your offer to do his makeup after you finish yours. you drag pencil eyeliner across his lids and corners of his eyes, smearing it in lazily until it's grey to add an even more tired appearance to his face. you finish off his quick look with a kiss to his cheekbone that leaves a dark lipstick print where your lips were.
before he goes out, he always makes sure to be wearing a piece of jewelry you've gifted him; chrome rings, matching red pendants, a little sword earring. he loves being asked where he got his jewelry because then he gets to mention you! "oh this? my beautiful girlfriend got them for me, thank you for asking."
he does not take his playlists seriously at all. he just shuffles his liked songs and calls it a day. he's got one playlist though, and its dedicated to makeouts with you. and he takes that very seriously. he loves pulling you on top of him from laying beside him. he likes to have you on top of him, thighs squeezing against his hips as you straddle him. you lean down to press your lips on his, holding his face with both hands gently while the playlist blasts over the sounds of your kisses. it always starts out gentle, polite even, but as soon as the playlists shuffles to she wants revenge, all niceties are thrown out the window. he pulls you close, and you follow his movement. your hands keep switching from his face, to his neck, to his chest, not knowing where to touch, but knowing you want to touch him. he mimicks similar movements, needing as much of you as he can get. he squeezes the flesh of your hips and lets his hands roam over your body, up his shirt you’re wearing to rub the skin of your waist and back. you need each other, and that's all you know.

TOKYO REVENGERS OMEGAVERSE ★
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
୨୧ yandere! alpha! kazutora x omega! reader
synopsis: kazutora is utterly obssessed with you and turns yandere once you start hanging out with other people. but what happens when he goes too far...?
cw : bullying, manipulation, controlling/possessive behaviour, r@pe attempt (not kazutora), assault, angst to comfort?
note : I'm so so sorry for not posting for nearly 2ish months🙏 here's a little something that was sitting in my drafts for a while now, hope you'll like it! I'll try to get back to posting stuff before the end of the year!!
note 2 : I recently read a lot of fics with omega drop inside and I wanted to give it a try!! I'm so unhappy with how the end turned out, but I can't think of anything else to write soo... + it's so rushed, pls don't hate me🙏
MY MASTERLIST: ★
Tumblr media
just imagine bully!kazutora, who decides to attend school regularly just to see his favourite omega every day!
he develops this weird obsession for you and can't stop himself from thinking about you 24/7. at first he's talking to you in the most casual way he can, asking you about school homework, what food you had for lunch...
you don't find him repulsive at all despite the rumours : he isn't violent and overwhelming despite his affiliation to a gang. so you engage in small conversations with him, almost finding yourself in a secluded space with just the two of you more often than you can remember. but kazutora has been nothing but a nice alpha with you! so you let your guard down.
his mean behaviour didn't start until the summer break. you discovered yourself and gained confidence, going out more and discussing with more people than you used to.
when kazutora was one of the rare people occupying your already tiny social circle, he now was one friend among so many. of course he had that special place in your heart, but how could he know ? regardless, it wasn't enough for kazutora.
he felt a burning jealousy consuming him wholeheartedly whenever you gave that new friend of yours more attention than him.
you used to be so shy and awkward, timidly walking up to him in hopes he'll talk to you. now kazutora has to witness his omega act like a social butterfly, smiling and hugging others like it's no big deal.
he's fuming. he doesn't want the thousand girls fanning over him and he couldn't care less about the people gathering around him to try and befriend him.
no, kazutora fell for you first and wants nothing more than your precious bubbly self for him to see only. what do you mean you have to cut short your daily walks home because some nobody invited you to the library ?
kazutora lives that as a betrayal and can't even fathom the idea of you slowly slipping away from him. he just had to do something. he felt sick to his stomach just thinking about you with someone else, about some alpha making moves even though he didn't even get the chance to properly kiss you or hold your hand.
but kazutora is smart. kazutora is charismatic. kazutora is an alpha with a sweet and charming smile. his bad reputation flew over people's heads whenever he flashed them his signature smile followed by his sugar-coated words.
you didn't think much about it when some people started avoiding you, interacting with you less and less. those were the ones you only made small talks with once in a while.
some started to throw you weird looks, whispering after you passed in front of them to join your locker. you frowned a bit, but no harm was done so you shrugged it off.
it was all too progressive to be a coincidence. first the rumours, then the physical bothering and finally, people outward causing you abuse.
it was scary and off-putting how everyone seemed to have turned their back on you, bullying you like you never laughed together just a month ago.
you pondered and questioned yourself, absolutely clueless about the unfair treatment. you now came to school with an unbearable pit to your stomach, scared as to what other students would come up with today.
while some deliberately left your side and bothered you for a couple of days, they soon got bored and simply proceeded to ignore you. but there was this particular friend group, which seemed adamant to keep persecuting you under any circumstances.
a few betas and alphas, everyday pushing you to the edge, cornering you in the empty locker room and tormenting you or literally destroying your belonging when you had your back turned.
it was all too much. everyone just disappeared from your life and you were left with a growing fear and apprehension. your usual vanilla scent was reduced to ashes, barely present, meanwhile you kept your mouth shut most of the time, sometimes even going days without talking to anyone at all.
it took a toll on your mental health, your instincts not fit for such a lonely life. you were made to be cajoled and appreciated, to enjoy life and make your loved ones happy.
you didn't have anyone anymore. you tried a few times to catch your closest friends in the hallway whenever you saw them pass before you, but none of them spared you a glance, hurriedly mumbling apologies before looking around them with fear in their eyes.
nothing made sense anymore. not even kazutora, who you thought was a genuine friend, helped you. he still attended school with an impressive diligence, you caught him sometimes talking to your bullies whenever the six of them ate together during lunch.
you had taken the habit to spend your lunchtime at the back of the school, far from everyone. you enjoyed those moment sof peace, even being able to keep an eye on them from where you were. you coul easily spot them without you being visible.
kazutora towered over them like a self-proclaimed leader, while they all listened to him with respect. kazutora was far stronger than them and could simply order them around the way he'd like.
you often wondered why he would take part in such a horrible thing, tormenting you as if you actually deserved it. what surprised you was how he seemed to never actually commit those said acts himself, making you even question if he was behind it all.
still, you kept your distance from him. your own feeling of betrayal hanging heavy in your mind at kazutora's indifference towards you.
                                    · · ୨୧ · ·
you fell on your butt after a particularly mean push to your shoulder. you looked up, wide-eyed and scared, the sound of laughter entering your ears as you watched their smirk deepen.
you hung out later than usual at the library, studying until it was all but dark outside. you carefully packed your stuff without any worries, not expecting anyone at this hour.
but to your luck, the same exact people were there, waiting for you like a pack of starved hyenas. you pushed past them, hoping that would keep them from bothering you any further, their sadistic urges already satisfied.
their pheromones felt especially menacing tonight, you didn't know if it was your mind playing tricks, feeling more vulnerable than ever now that you were all on your own and exhausted.
your instincts exhorted you to flee from here when they grabbed your shoulder to make you turn around. you couldn't dare look up, their sickening laughs doing enough to make you beyond scared.
they trashed you around, taking pleasure in your lack of power, your optimistic self easily defeated by the days spent in fear and anxiety. you instinctively reacted to their scents, your limbs automatically shaking, mind cloudy, trying its best to protect itself.
you could only cry pitifully when one of them threw you, forcing you to make contact with the floor once again. and when his eyes lingered over your figure in a predatory gaze, a smirk streching his lips and his tongue passing over it, you felt your blood run cold.
you searched for any ounce of humanity in his friends' eyes, hoping they'll realise that they were going too far and eventually call out the alpha. finding none, you felt yourself slipping awat by the second, your senses way too overly stimulated by their treatment.
you cried harder, his hands feeling like knives digging into your flesh, a ruthless attempt at stripping you away from what little dignity you had left.
he sat on top of you, his weight forcing a few coughs out of you, unable to breathe properly. he continued his assault comfortably, his friends cheering him on with no regard to how your whole world went crashing down in this exact moment, all your strenght abandoning you, unable to fight anymore.
your mind went blank, trying so hard to process what had just happened to you when you felt one of his friend pull him off of you. mumbling something about kazutora and telling the alpha that they scared you enough.
he reluctantly agreed with an angry growl and a condescending slap to your cheek, knowing kazutora was far too scary to go further with his omega. he mockingly barked at you to be grateful, but you couldn't hear him, nor could you move.
you simply laid there, a pool of tears clouding your vision, tiny and pathetic cries leaving your soar throat. you couldn't protect yourself from the unshakable feeling of terror and helplessness and nobody was there to give you support.
you really were all on your own.
                                    · · ୨୧ · ·
you woke up in the softness of your nest, memories blurry and confused, yet all your senses vividly alert. the blankets and pillows were in a mess, mascara smeared across your cheeks, your high-school uniform still on and furiously torn apart, and the smell of blood floating in the air.
after dragging yourself back to your home, you had used all your remaining strenght and could no longer move. yesterday was your last straw and all you could do was lay on your side, head pounding from all the crying and feeling like a lifeless doll.
you felt like a stranger in your own body, unable to shake off the overwhelming fear. you couldn't find any source of solace, your nest wasn't even yours anymore, it felt foreign. you didn't feel safe anywhere.
you slowly let your thoughts consume you.
you couldn't do it, you weren't brave enough, strong enough. you had been able to handle it for the first few months but you felt yourself fall deeper into this nightmare and your were afraid you would never be able to get out of it.
kazutora didn't think much about your absence at school today, he was visibly disappointed to not be able to see his favourite omega, but didn't pry too much.
after a day turned into two, then three and then almost twoweeks now, he grew more and more concerned. he was agitated, pissed off by the situation, skipping classes the second he didn't see you there. he tried calling you multiple times a day, left you a hundred of messages and despite the strangeness of his sudden concern for you, he had expected you'd answer them, or at least read them. but you didn't.
he was left in the dark and was surprised at himself to have let you flee his eyes for this much time, almost instinctively sensing the abnormal urgency in your absenteeism. he had consulted those meaningless people he used to isolate you, kazutora was such a threat on his own that he was sure they couldn't have possibly lied straight to his face. or is it that they've took it too far ? kazutora knew he had warned them about it, scaring you was fine, tormenting you was fine, anything beyong that was like asking for death.
he found himself at you doorstep the same exact day, a plastic bag full of various medicines just in case. he knocked, waited, but heard nothing. he tried smelling you through the cracks, your heat scent usually so strong it literally slips from under. but he sensed nothing, comfirming you had no academically right reason to not attend school for such a long period of time.
he called your name, screamed it in desperation, banged on your door to try and stir up some movement from inside, but everything was dreadfully calm.
a million thoughts went through kazutora's mind when he broke into your home. he breathed in your familiar scent, the same one that instantly made him feel all sorts of things the way no other omega ever did. he took a minute to observe his surroundings, smiling at how cute and friendly you had decorated your place. despite the unusual darkness, it was indeed very charming. kazutora thought it suited you very well.
when he kept going further into the hallway, a strange feeling flooded his body. despite his excitement to finally see your face after two weeks, he somehow felt anxious. he didn't know what to expect. had you finally crumbled under the pressure of having no one by your side ? did kazutora break you enough that you'd seek comfort near anyone who would offer you a helping hand, even if that person was him ?
oh how did he want to have you all for himself once again, to have you back in his arms, talking to him with your shy eyes, teeth biting your lips in nervousness and too intimidated to even think about leaving his side.
what sight awaited him inside your room? will you welcome him, tears of relief and happiness flooding your eyes upon seeing someone care about you? after all this time of fighting alone, fending for yourself like a frail lamb when your whole purpose was to rely on others ?
kazutora couldn't wait to become your saviour, to chase away those annoying people who had dared mess with you, even if it was all his fault. you just would have to give him one word, one proof of affection and he'll immediately be on his way to teach them a lesson.
he opened your door, feeling entitled to do so without even asking. he frenetically searched for you, nose instantly trying to pick up your sweet scent. you were curled up between a pile of blankets, frame shaking and your fists desperately clutching the fabric.
he frowned slightly, yet still unaware of the alarming state you were in and approached you slowly. he smiled when he took notice of the teddy bear he had gifted you a few months prior, his chest warming up with pride upon seeing how hard it was pressed against your chest.
he gently called your name, nudging you just a little bit to get you to open your eyes. not wanting to scare you, he made himself as small as possible, voice barely above a whisper and movements as slow as he could.
but you couldn't move an inch and kazutora soon realised that your whole body was burning up, and not from a heat. he checked your forehead, watched how your breathing was weak despite being shaky and finally took in the terrifyingly rotten smell of your scent, nothing like he had expected upon entering your room.
although delusional, his instincts couldn't ignore and misinterpret the distressed pheromones your whole body emitted. reacting immediately to them, he softly caressed your face, removed you from inside the covers and took your worn out body in his arms.
he tried stimulating you by saying your name as kindly as possible, his own body burning up from the stress and creeping guilt slowly consuming him after linking everything together. was that the consequences of his actions? he looked at your face, torn with pain and fear, noticing with horror the purple bruise on your wrist and the equally awful red marks on your neck and arms, some even bleeding.
he showered you with his own pheromones, using nature's ways to force you into a calmer state.
what has he done? was it all his fault? he should've known you weren't this brave and should've known you'd need him sooner. he should've taken the hint and go to you instead of observing you slowly falling apart and delaying the moment when he'd finally come at your rescue.
he watched as you slowly but surely came back to him, eyes blinking up at him, unable to comprehend what was going on. you were all dopey and insanely fragile, your mental state on the verge of a cliff, threatening to fall if you were to be feeling any bit of discomfort.
                                    · · ୨୧ · ·
surpringly enough, you had warmed up to kazutora faster than he had expected. when anxiety plagued you with its torments, he was the one you instinctively reached out to, his scent carrying a sense of comfort and safety.
it was unfair how he could prevent your mind from torturing you any further when he was the primary culprit. you weren't even able to get a full night of rest because of it, and now you were accorded sleep because he decided it was best for you.
he literally drugged you with his pheromones during the period you were more than vulnerable, unable to take care of yourself. breathing in kazutora's scent whenever you felt down and distressed, had you assimilating it with something close to a safe place.
when you first woke up in his embrace after falling asleep to the sound of his apologies, you tore yourself away from his arms. you trying to move with what little strength you could muster forced his own eyes open, his hand, too quick to not be a reflex, caught your waist, keeping you against his chest.
"let go of me," you whispered after trying to pry yourself away from him, gripping his forearm, desperately wishing to make him move.
"y/n..."
"I said let go of me kazutora. why are you even here ?" cutting him off, you looked at him angrily, tears threatening to fall from your eyes.
the pained stare he was met with was enough to make him regret all his actions. sheer betrayal was written all over your face and the scent which once brought you comfort, now only made you uncomfortable. he was too close. his hands tangled with your waist and wrists... you were scared of what they could do to you. he was holding you too tightly. he was afraid you would disappear.
"kazutora, you're hurting me. just what exactly do you want and how did you get in ?" he quickly let go of you, muttering a few awkward apologies.
"...how did you get those bruises ?" he asked after a long silence, partially pleased you weren't ordering him to leave anymore and relieved you didn't push the topic of his intrusion any further.
"keep playing dumb and I might actually get really angry" you had pushed yourself up, refusing kazutora's help and was now sitting, glaring at him.
"please y/n, I assure you I don't know anything. I wouldn't have let anyone hurt you like this..." you chuckled half-heartedly, looking at kazutora's pleading eyes with contempt in yours. you could tell he was taken aback with how things were turning out with how he grabbed your arm softly, as if begging you to please believe him.
"ask your friends, I'm sure they'd love to tell you all the details about what they did."
and with that, you turned your back on him, tired of talking to him who acted like nothing was his fault, as if he hadn't played a huge role in how people treated you.
you were too tired to curse at him and yell for him to get out of your sight, you fell asleep in almost a few minutes this day, not caring if kazutora had anything to tell you or if he was even still there, invading your nest and taking up all the space like he was used to when it came to you.
                                    · · ୨୧ · ·
upon your confession, kazutora was seeing red, rage fully consuming his body and abandoning him to a state of pure instincts.
he stayed still, observing your steady breathing and the mess he had caused because of his jealousy, hands shaking at the sight of your injured body.
he made sure one last time that you were covered with his pheromones, which, no matter how much you hated them, helped you calm down a bit and have a good night rest like you needed.
he got up, barricaded your door that was slightly broken and left you alone in your apartment, ready to pay a visit to those people he had used to get what he wanted.
you've always been fragile, your nature shaping you to be more delicate than him, but never had he ever seen you this weak and defeated. although he had his response in your current state, he promised himself he would redeem himself, vowing to protect you just like he should've.
and it all starts now, by getting rid of the ones who thought they could go as far as laying a hand on you.
when he came back, he let out a relieved sigh seeing you hadn't move. he threw his now slightly red t-shirt on the floor and went back to your side, pleased with what he did and happy there were a few less threats for you out there.
he kissed your naked shoulder and fell asleep, inhaling your sweet scent he craved so much and swore nothing bad would ever happen again.
kazutora would make sure of it...

Ringing in the New Year with Toman
Masterlist
Had this cute idea about writing some small New Year Eve scenarios but this massive writer’s block got me good ;w; it’s a bit late but i’m glad to have gotten this done! more to come in a bit
Tumblr media
“Stuff it! I already called dibs!”
Kazutora, however, wasn’t having it, his leg shooting out to connect with the back of Mikey’s side as the duo-colored hair delinquent attempted to dislodge the other. “No! I got here first!”
You simply sighed, returning apologetic looks to the disapproving and wary glances your little group was receiving from the surrounding crowd, your kimono sleeve hitching as you reached to rub the back of your neck. The stars that usually blanketed the night sky were unfortunately covered behind a rolling group of clouds, though that was the last thing on your mind at the moment, you spotting from the corner of your eye Baji starting to fidget, his amber gaze eyeing the squabbling pair of delinquents still latched onto either of your arms.
You couldn’t even say for sure what they were bickering about, but knowing your three boys, it was probably something mundane.
The red lanterns that lined both sides of the path leading up to the shrine swayed in the gentle breeze, the strong sense of incense wafting down from the censor at the top of the stairs stinging your nose. It was New Year’s Eve, and you had been standing in the frigid air for a good part of the past hour, and it was clear that the constant waiting was getting to your Toman boys, even if it was their idea to do this. Kazutora and Mikey have escalated to butting heads right now, hands tangled in and yanking at each others’ hair, with an amused Draken and Mitsuya egging them on from the sidelines. Pah was more worried about when the food stalls would open.
The piercing stares from the general public were getting unbearable at this point. You checked your watch again, even as you were yanked right, then left, and then right again, the once tranquil night quickly filling with their bickering that kept growing louder and louder. Another half hour to go before midnight. “Guys, this really isn’t the best time,” you attempted to shush the two, as you turned to send a warning glance to Baji, who was right on the verge of jumping in on the action. “Can we decide this later? At home?” Your words fell on deaf ears as expected, with Kazutora and Mikey having escalated to a full-scale brawl in public, with punches to the face and kicks flying in every which direction.
It was right about then that Draken and Mitsuya changed their minds from instigators to interveners - and you could only be partially sure that it was from your polite request that got through to them and not due to the fact that you barely dodged a leg being swung your way. “Hey!” The Toman Vice President snapped, his arms swiping to catch Mikey in the chest, while the Second Division Captain stamped his foot horizontally and straight into Kauztora’s waist, effectively separating the two from tearing each other apart. “I said to stop it!”
He said to stop it? Well, you were sure it was you who proposed the idea, but whatever worked.
Baji however, in his misguided attempt to ‘help’, looped one arm through yours, the black-haired boy puffing up his chest as he announced loudly: “You shitheads don’t have to fight because I’ll be ringing the suzu bell with her.”
Oh so that’s what they were fighting about.
Instantly, you could see the veins throbbing in the foreheads of every Toman founder present (save Pah), as four pairs of eyes turned to lock onto Baji like clockwork. One second passed. Then two. Everyone in the line including you held their breaths, scared to be the one to ignite the leaking gasoline. Too little too late however, and as the silent bell went off, Toman’s First Division Captain thankfully freed you from his grip as the other delinquents lunged for him, with what remained of the sanctity of shrine grounds forgotten in the tussle that ensued.
The crowd around your group shuffled a little further, eager to give the brawling boys as much space as possible. You didn’t think your face could turn another redder under the judging stares. Instead you turned your back on them, determined to pretend as much as possible that you weren’t a part of their silly fights, huffing slightly as you did so. It was almost the new year for crying out loud, couldn’t they behave just this time?
But then you looked at your group of friends now sprawled across the floor and yanking at each other’s hakamas, and your eyes softened as you failed to bite back the chuckle that slipped your lips watching them quarrel. You really couldn’t ask for better friends than them.
Thankfully for you, you were truly saved by the bell, with the line beginning to shuffle forward as your watch reached midnight. In the distance, the sound of fireworks lighting up the night sky ushered in what you hoped would be another great year in the company of your friends. Though that didn’t mean you would be waiting for the five delinquents to finish their fight. You simply stepped forward with the moving line, slowly but surely leaving the Toman founders behind, still engrossed in their arguments.
Boys, honestly.

TIPSY MIKEY. We all stan a cute, tipsy Mikey.
Tumblr media
09:53 pm
Nighttime is the most amazing part of the day. You can give yourself the attention you deserve, taking care of yourself, watching your favourite show, preparing a nourishing meal... All of this after the frenzy of the day, the heat of the city, the infinite traffic jams, and the overwhelmingness of your daily job.
Once you get your favourite shirt covering you up, you can't help but sigh contently, letting the perfume of the clothing fill your nostrils, the softness of the cotton fabric gently caressing your skin and the white colour of the tissue soothes your tired eyes.
His shirts are always your anchor after a long day when you haven't been able to meet. After a whole week you and your boyfriend, Mikey, haven't been able to meet because of his busy schedule due to an upcoming race and you being buried deep down the pit of work and hectic everyday life.
Just when you're about to get into the covers and call it a day, some motherfucker dares to ring the bell of your apartment, knocking at your door mercilessly. It's almost 10 pm, who could it possibly be?!
Stomping your feet towards the door of your apartment, you rub your eyes in a pissed manner, the lotion you put on your face earlier slightly oiling the tip of your fingers. When you open the door with a frustrated sigh, your eyes go from annoyed to surprised in less than two seconds. You surely didn't expect to find Draken, Mikey's best friend since the old days and a member of his racing team, looking at you apologetically while holding your boyfriend on his back, piggyback style.
You don't question him, despite wanting to do so, and let the beefy man in. He drops Mikey on your couch and he yelps, whining a slurred and slightly annoyed "Ken-chinnnnn".
You and Draken share a look that says it all: he was drunk, dead-drunk, cockeyed.
"A week is left before the big day, everyone wanted to meet up before having to go all in until the race day" Drake sighs and scratches the back of his head.
You have never seen him so shy, he must be quite tipsy too but you decide not to point that out, showing mercy for his virility.
"I'm sorry about this- he kept on blabbering about how much he missed you so I thought this was the best thing to do".
Of course, it is. Mikey's addicted to you. He loves you so much and every time he can't meet you even for a short period, not being able to hold you close and pepper your face in kisses, he loses it and does stupid things like... Getting drunk with his friends.
You can feel a sudden weight on your shoulder, strong arms wrapping around your waist like a snake and a stinging smell of mixed alcohol make its way through your senses.
Mikey's cheek is squished against your shoulder and he looks at you with big, doe onyx orbs and sweet, plump pouty lips.
His obsidian hair is a bit messy, and his cheek is slightly rosy due to his tipsiness.
You could devour him. He looks so adorable.
"Babyyy, is this really you? Fuck– I've missed you so much" winey voice and teary eyes. He always acts like a child whenever he's drunk and that never fails to put your heart in danger because of cuteness overload.
"You did great Draken, I'll take care of him, thank you for bringing him here" you smile at your boyfriend's best mate and motion him to go before Mikey throws off a tantrum on how much he had missed you and how you should have answered to his messages more often.
Just when he gets out you sigh and look at your boyfriend who's snuggling against you (probably because he's not even capable of standing still by himself), caressing your warm skin with the tip of his nose.
“Why haven't you answered any of my calls today, baby?”
It is surprising how his voice rings in your years, shaking your very core: his slurred and childish words from before have been completely replaced by a deep, low and shy whisper. He sounds pained.
You can feel the warmth of his muscles flex on your abdomen as he brings you closer to him until your back is touching his toned chest. His heart is thrumming against his ribcage, you can feel it.
“Can't focus on anything without hearing from you for so long… I get worried too, ya know?”
Your Manjiro has always been this way, whenever he got tipsy, he would always become more clingy, whinier and vulnerable.
Despite this, his charm is undeniable and you can't help but pend from his lips when his words flow effortlessly like the smoothest cream. Listening to him and absorbing his body heat is like indulging in the sweetest thing you might ever taste.
He doesn't do it on purpose, such antics become natural when he's with you: your magnecticity touches every cell of his body and makes it act on its own, getting on the right frequency just because you are there.
You're everything he needs and all he has always had.
You can't blame him for behaving like this, like the lovestruck man he is.
“I’m so sorry, ‘jiro, I've been busy… but I'll make it up to you, okay?”
His body weight leans more towards you as he mutters a slurred ‘you better'. Despite wanting to sound pissed, the smile on his face is clear as day even if his face is hidden in the curve on your neck. His satisfied tone betrays him: maybe wearing one of his shirts was a start to make up for the lost time already.
Tumblr media
As your hand smoothes over his liquorice locks you can feel a damp, hot sensation on your neck: his hot breath reaches your skin as he kisses it in both relief and contentment, exciting your nostrils with a pungent hint of alcohol.
Once your hands make contact with his back in a fluid, circular motion, you can feel Mikey's muscles tense and melt in your hold in less than a few seconds: you prepared him a warm bath to help him ease up his paranoia about “you avoiding him” and wash off that nauseous smell of liquor that was making you sick.
The water ripples underneath his body, circular little waves expand and dissolve among the warm water whenever he moves.
Letting the fragrance of the oils and the body wash hug his senses, filling his thoughts with your gentle hand scratching his scalp deliciously with the tip of your fingers and your idyllic voice that echoes through the bathroom walls he feels at peace.
He breathes in deeply every time, his toned chest rises and falls at a slow pace and the droplets of water kiss every inch of the skin for you, sliding down his muscles deliciously.
With his eyes gently closed and his silky, obsidian hair sticking to his forehead slightly, he looks like a greek god, just for you to be blessed with.
You can't help but sigh happily as his consciousness clears up with every passing minute: he starts to make more coherent sentences, talking to you about his week and complaining about his team that put his life in such a hectic frenzy for the upcoming race that he hardly had time to check up on you.
“The only way I thought I could see you was by taking advantage of this dinner: I mean, no one wants to deal with a drunk, complaining pain the ass before the race, yeah? They had to let me come here, I'm a genius!”
You love him for that.
Tumblr media
The soft thuds that jog up the stairs are unmistakable: as Mikey reaches your room and opens the door, you are already waiting for him in the bed, keeping the sheets warm for him, and making a comforting nest for his arrival.
He insisted that you wait for him upstairs as he brushed his teeth and dressed up, claiming that he wasn't that tipsy to be looked out for like the big baby he is.
Let's give him credit for that, he was right.
His face seems to be sparking under the warm light of your abatjour, the freshness of his body reaches your nose more and more as he walks closer to the bed, inching towards your face so you can breathe in and taste the minty scent of his mouth onto yours with a sloppy kiss.
When your hand guides its way on his collarbone, tickling his damp skin with your palm, he wastes no time hovering over your frame completely and crushing his weight on top of you, making the soft mattress sink lower underneath your bodies.
Even if Mikey has always had a quite smaller frame compared to other guys, he never fails to knock the breath off your lungs when he catches you by surprise. He might have a thing for that small puff of air that leaves your chest unexpectedly, making you yelp in such a delightful tone… but he would never admit that out loud. Where would the fun be otherwise?
Snuggling against your body, you can feel the tip of his nose playfully rub against your cheek as he kisses your jaw with a small movement of his mouth, the softest flower petals caressing your tender skin graciously.
Useless to say that you'll sleep in that position for the whole night and you have no room to argue, not when your man starts to mindlessly mumble sweet nonsense under his breath and ask questions about your week until late that night.
Mikey's head is still a bit fuzzy, his senses don't connect down on earth fully due to the fragmentary memories of the embarrassing, confused events that happened that night tormenting his subconscious, but he doesn't care: as long as your voice lulls him to sleep, all his repressed pre-race anxieties melt away; every fear of having missed out on a big event of your life that week dissolves into thin air; every inch of the emptiness that your absence brought fills up gradually, leaving him giddy inside.
He doesn't deny it, Manjiro admits that he can be whiney, childish and reckless (idiotic actually): getting drunk and causing a scene at the restaurant, screaming at the waiter because he didn't receive a flag on his entrecôte and spilling the carafe of wine on the white table cloth in front of the team before falling from the chair wasn’t the best idea to get him to your house, especially since he's an emergent public figure in the motorcycle racing industry.
But, honestly, that's all worth it if he gets to spend time with you once again, babying him the way he deserves.

This has been in my drafts for way too long, so I decided to finish it– I'm not that proud of the outcome but I hope it brought a smile on your face regardless!

it’s 3pm. you should’ve gotten out of bed hours ago. and yet, here you were, wrapped in the confines of your bedsheets, warm rays of sunlight pouring in through the curtains that adorn your windows, the dull ache in your back persistent from rotting in bed for the past few hours.
after another few minutes, the ache now too painful to withstand, you attempt to slide out from under your sheets, intent on wanting to stretch your limbs and find some form of productivity now that you’ve nearly wasted the day cocooned in bed.
but just as slowly slide out from under the weight of an arm wrapped around your waist, the same arm attached to a sleepy kazutora lazily tugs you back into the now uncomfortable bed. as yes, that’s why you were still in bed. him.
“stay…” he grumbles sleepily.
“i can’t. my back is hurting,” you reply, earning a pouty whine from your somehow still-sleepy boyfriend.
his tiredness surely had taken you by surprise when by the time your alarm went off at 9am, he insisted you stay in bed with him since it helped him sleep better. the way he clung to your side earlier this morning and practically shifted his dead weight onto you to successfully pin you back down to the bed flashed into your mind. his hoarse and needy voice rang into your ears when he begged you for “just a few more minutes” in bed.
well, a few more minutes had now turned into hours later and your back and shoulders paid the ultimate price for your love for him. still, you couldn’t decipher why he was so sleepy. the two of you had only stayed up until 1am watching movies and indulging in all kinds of unhealthy snacks that you would regret eating later, your stomach also paying the price for your indulgence.
“c’mon, tora,” you groaned with the pinch of his cheek, hoping he would swat your hand away and give you an opening to slide away from him. but he didn’t. he let you pinch, poke and pull at his cheeks like it didn't bother him. and it hadn’t.
a lazily smile stretched across his lips, your playful attempts to get him to release you only causing him to pull you closer to his bare chest, his skin warm from the mountain of blankets and soft to the touch.
your heart fluttered from the small interaction. “damn him,” you thought. “why do you have to be so cute?”
and as if he read your mind, kazutora slowly opened one eye, his lazy smile still intact as he took in the near blurry sight of your flushed cheeks.
“can’t say ‘no’ to me, can you?” he teased.
“shut up. you’re lucky you’re cute.”
“you like me.” he said, closing his eye and dragging you impossibly closer to him.
you could fight him all you wanted, but you did like him. you loved him. after all, you wouldn’t have stayed in bed past your alarm hadn’t it been for your clingy boyfriend refusing to let you leave the bed.
“yeah, i do.”
his lazy and teasing smile shifts to a more fond one as he opens his eyes again, the faint tint of pink dusting his cheeks as she leaned down to press his lips to your forehead affectionately.
“let’s order takeout today,” he mumbled against your forehead.
“and let’s get some drinks,” you added.
“drinks, huh? might as well add some candy to that too, then.”
by that moment, it was evident that neither of you had any intention to get out of bed and make use of yourselves during the day. but how often would you be able to find moments of peace like this? so even as the sun’s rustic rays painted the walls orange and yellow with the fading of afternoon into night, the room becoming dark with the shine of the moonlight replacing the bright star, you and kazutora decided it would be in your best interest to stay in bed and cling to each other the whole day, sore limbs and back pain be damned.
perhaps you would stay up late and partake in all your favorite foods and movies with the love of your life again. as long as you were happy, he was happy and vice versa. though, you had to admit, watching kazutora constrict himself around you filled your heart with a sense of love you never knew you could feel. the thought of someone loving and needing you so much that your mere departure unsettles them, even if it’s to the bathroom.
some people would call it codependency. and maybe they were right. but who cared? certainly not you. and in this moment, nothing outside of the safety of your bedroom mattered. just the clingy boy latched onto you.
Tumblr media
che's final note :: clingy or codependent? who knows? idk i thought this was cute because i would love to have a clingy kazutora in my bed too. anyways, anon, i hope you like this. i hope this is what you were looking for. if it wasn't, i'm sorry and i hope you like it anyway 🥲

And then fed them to the wolves of and burning the bones.
"Revenge taken my little dove... Just as I promised."
He whispered quietly to no one as he smoked a cigarette and looked up at the night sky full of stars shining brightly than usual.
With tears dripping endlessly down his emotionless visage.
"I see you looking after and smiling at me darling keep doing that."
He exhaled his smoke through his nose smiling painfully.
"Because soon I'll be joining you up there my love..."

hi there! i hope you're doing well, congrats on your recent milestone! 💓 if it's alright, may i request a song drabble with the outsider by lyn lapid + hanemiya kazutora (from tokyo rev) + fem!reader + romantic? maybe the genre could be reverse comfort and/or fluff because he feels kinda left out after getting out of juvie. thank you in advance, han. 🫶
1.5k Follower Event Song Drabble "The Outsider" With Kazutora (TR)
This event is now closed. You can view the masterlist here.
| Pairing: Kazutora x Fem!Reader| Genre: Angst to Fluff bit of Comfort | Post-Type: Drabble | Word Count: 790 |
Warnings: insecurity (from Kazutora), feeling left out
Note: Once again apologizing for this being so late, I hope you're doing well and see this! I loved this concept of Kazutora feeling left out, and having Y/N comfort and reassure him! Enjoy <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It had been weeks since he was finally released from juvie. Of course he had seen you on your frequent visits to see him when he was still locked up, but things felt different now that he was back in society. You were both older now, maybe you had changed your mind about him and were just sticking around out of obligation?
He felt completely out of place at the dinner you arranged with all his friends, wanting to give him the chance to catch up with everyone. It had been years since he sat at a table with all his friends, a lot of them looking much older than the last time he saw them.
He felt his heart sink when they all seemed so familiar with you as well; Mikey, Mitsuya, Draken, Chifuyu, and the other guys had taken care of you while Kazutora was locked away, making sure you were safe and happy.
You all were engaged in conversation, catching up and discussing events that had happened in the past few weeks when he wasn’t around. He couldn’t find an opportunity to jump in despite the many times you’d bring the conversation to him so he could speak, but he felt bad about joining in as the conversation among the group continued.
What really made him tick and lose his patience though was when Mikey reaches over the table to wipe the bit of ketchup off the side of your mouth with his thumb. Kazutora abruptly stands up and leaves the table, walking out of the restaurant completely.
That was his job…years ago when he wasn’t in prison, he’d even go as far as to kiss the mess off your face whenever you got some food on your nose or the side of your mouth. Has he been replaced? Were you only with him now because you felt bad? Hundreds of thoughts ran through his head as he paced outside the restaurant. Should he leave or go back in? What was he even doing out here?
Groaning, he mentally curses himself, until he feels a poke on his back, a familiar warm voice instantly calming him.
“You okay babe?” You ask slowly, getting his attention as he turns around to face you, sighing.
“I’m fine, I just…think I should leave. I’m clearly not needed here,” he grumbles, shoving his hands in his pockets as he kicks imaginary rocks on the ground.
With a sigh, you take his hand, squeezing it softly.
“Is it because of what Mikey did?” You ask slowly, knowing the action must have bothered him. As soon as he stormed out, you had scolded Mikey for his actions, which he had only done to stir up trouble, as usual. He just needed to be devious, it was his way of trying to get Kazutora to go back to his usual self.
He grunts in response, hating the way Mikey had touched you so casually, what if he had been doing that the whole time he was locked up?
“Stop that,” you sigh, tugging on his hand to get him to look your way, “I pushed Mikey’s hand away as soon as I noticed what he was doing. You know you’re the only one for me.”
Still unsatisfied, Kazutora frowns, overthinking everything.
“Do you know how long I waited for this day? Anxiously awaiting your return so you could be with your friends again and so we could be together like this, like we used to, to hug you and kiss you whenever I want. You’re the one I want, the one I love, the only one I’ll ever be with so long as you still want that,”  you sigh, squeezing his hand reassuringly as you see a small smile appear on his lips.
“Really? You were waiting for me this whole time?” He finally asks, giving your hand a gentle squeeze in return.
“Of course, what else would I be doing? Nothing was the same without you, so having you here just feels right…” you smile softly, swinging your hands together. “Now let's go back inside, I’ll make sure Mikey apologizes to you.”
Agreeing, he follows you inside the restaurant again, your fingers intertwined as he takes a seat beside you, wrapping an arm around your chair reminding everyone you were already taken by him.
The rest of the evening goes a lot smoother, as he slowly opens up more, the guys directing more questions at him and pulling him into their conversations as they talk about their past together. And after many years you see his smile again, the lightheartedness he used to carry; in that moment it was back, and it was beautiful. You’d make sure to protect it for as long as you were together.

Insecurity | Kazutora H.
Character: Kazutora Hanemiya
A/N: Baby needs a hug and I'm willing to give him one.
Tumblr media
The moon shone brightly. It's luminescent rays shining down on the earth and slipping through the crack of the black curtains, creating a singular light that illuminates the bed in a similar fashion. Aside from this, the room is mostly shrouded in darkness, hiding the lush furniture in its shadows. Among this dimness, a phone shines brightly, it's reflection burning it's shape into sandy-colored eyes as a callous fingertip swipes endlessly at the screen..
"( Stage Name )'s outfit looked amazing tonight! 😍"
"Who's the dude with them?"
↳ "I think it's their partner."
"No wonder they've kept their love life a secret for so long. If my man looked like that, I would've too."
"He looks like something out of a horror movie fr fr."
"I'm sorry but I can't imagine her dating someone who looks like that. I really hope they aren't together. ( Stage Name ) deserves so much better. 😭"
Comment after comment flies past as they're read swiftly. Although a lot of tweets and comments focused on you and the outfit that you wore to the movie premiere the night prior, most were about the man that walked hand-in-hand beside you, nervously smiling at the abundance of cameras that were in his face that night—almost all comments made being negative.
"He looks like a drug dealer."
"Whoever made his outfit should be fired on the spot."
"Why did they let him outta the house lookin' like that? Did this to themselves tbh."
"He looks like he'd be the type to beat his wife every night when he comes home from work. Lowkey worried."
Despite this, he couldn't stop scrolling. Maybe it was the hope that he'd find a tweet that defended him or tweet that didn't comment on his tired eyes or vibrant hair or the fact that there was a faint stain on the corner of his shirt that was likely from the food that he hurriedly ate with you in the car that night just before you arrived.
"What's with the long face, 'tora?" He jumps. He hadn't even noticed you enter the room but as he peeled his eyes away from his phone screen, he wish he did sooner. There you stood before him, no makeup, hair wet and sticking to the corners of your face, an oversized shirt—his shirt specifically—clinging to your dampen skin and just barely highlighting your curves, and your legs bare for all to see. It was an intoxicating sight.
One that makes a part of him feel tremendous guilt and embarrassment the more he stares at you.
"It's nothing.." He mumbles out hastily after a while and to his dismay, you frown disapprovingly at him.
"You're lying. What's wrong?" You slide onto the bed and turn, his shirt riding up your thigh and revealing the shorts that hide beneath it as you scoot closer to him and attempt to peer at his screen. Kazutora notices just a tad too late and ends up shutting off his phone entirely. Unfortunately, you had already managed to catch a glimpse at a comment or two before the screen went black and it causes you to sigh.
"Pay them no mind. Everything they say is bullshit."
"Is that really true though?" This time, he's the one to sigh, "One comment--"
"They aren't true." And the tone of your voice alone manages to silence him immediately. The assertive, matter-of-fact tone left no room for talk back or any kind of verbal refutation and although he couldn't say it, his face spoke volumes of how much he disagreed with your statement.
"They hate me." He says after a while.
"Twitter hates everyone," You reply, "People on there would literally shit on the sky being blue if people'll listen."
'Yeah, but what they're saying about me isn't exactly wrong.." He stares down at his phone, almost cringing at the sight of his own reflection staring back at him, "I managed to embarrass you without even saying anything.."
"I don't think you embarrassed me." You retort immediately, "You looked great yesterday and said nothing that upset me."
"They think otherwise.." He mumbles dejectedly. He turns his phone back on but only has the chance to briefly read part of another tweet talking about his tattoo before you take his phone away from him.
"Who cares what they think?" You lightly toss his phone aside, "No matter what they say, it'll only be a shallow opinion at the end of the day. They know nothing about you, Kazutora, but I do. So please.."
Cupping his face, your eyes manage to find each other and lock despite the darkness that clouds your vision. You gaze at him. Hoping that the love you feel for him—and have felt for him for years now—would somehow make itself clear to him if you continued to stare. Alas, all you ended up doing was stare at him with scrunched brows for a little longer than necessary..
"..Believe me when I say this, 'Tora. You're beautiful both inside and out and I'm so incredibly happy that I can show you off to everyone and will continue to do so if you let me. I'm not ashamed at all about dating you and never will be. And do you know why? Because I'm hopelessly in love with you."
No more then a few moments pass before a tear finally slips and a small hiccup escapes him. Like a dam ready to burst, his body trembles and as you finally pull him up and your arms envelop him, he breaks down completely in your loving embrace. And you let him, smiling sadly as the love of your life crumbles before you.

I wrote a little drabble for @captaincadash as a birfday gift. 🎁🥰
And it relit my creative fire, so hopefully I can finish up Wrecking Wonderland and Where the Blossoms Fell!
Customer Support
No one wants to deal with customer support. Hell, even customer support doesn't want to deal with customer support. You call, you get placed on a “brief hold” until you fossilize, and maybe your complaint is handled—if the agent feels like handling it.
A customer support desk? Is it better or worse? Well, that depends on which side of the counter you're on. Let's take a look behind the counter, at a day in the life of a customer support representative. In particular, what it's like to deal with a problematic asshole.
We demanded asked some of the Tokyo Revengers boys to spend a day working at a customer support desk. We sent in one of those problematic assholes just to piss them off experiment and observe how each would handle a very rude and irate customer.
Here's the report on our findings.
Takemichi: Bless his little heart, he tried his best. Despite being overly polite and apologizing profusely and repeatedly, even though none of it was his fault, the customer still yelled at him. Loudly, with spit flying off of each word.
Mikey: He sat in his chair, staring blankly at the customer while munching his dorayaki. After about thirty seconds of watching some Karen froth at the mouth, screaming about something stupid, he completely ignored them and wandered off.
Draken: He's calm at first but his dealing-with-bullshit meter pegged in record time. He leaned in, cracking his knuckles, and asked the customer to repeat themselves. They slowly backed away.
Baji: He immediately began shouting back without even bothering to address the complaint. He started throwing office supplies at them—pens, post-it note pads, little boxes of paper clips, whatever happened to be there at the desk. Chifuyu had to intervene when the stapler went airborne.
Chifuyu: He actually attempted to de-escalate the situation with logic and reason. When that didn't work, he called in Baji-san with the stapler.
Mitsuya: He maintained an air of professionalism and killed them with kindness, giving every reassurance that the complaint will be handled as quickly as possible. Later, he made a voodoo doll to use as a pincushion at his sewing machine.
Hakkai: Poor guy stuttered, wide-eyed, as the female-presenting customer (selected specifically for his discomfort) threw an absolute tantrum. Gods help him, he totally froze up, desperately looking to Mitsuya for help.
Kazutora: He smiled like they were old friends while straight-up threatening them. "I could kill you, y’know?” But, hey, it solved the issue. The customer took off running for their life but it took care of the problem.
Sanzu: He gave them a piercing, unsettling glare over the top of his black mask. With a quiet air of disdain he told them he didn't have the time or patience for this nonsense. Then he pulled a mini-bottle of sanitizer from his pocket and rubbed a generous portion onto his hands before disappearing like a ghost. (If it was Bonten Sanzu, they'd already be dead.)
Nahoya: In typical Smiley fashion, he grinned the entire time. The louder the customer yelled, the bigger his smile grew. Eventually, he casually commented, “Y’know I was in a gang. Wanna see how I handled problems back then?” It terrified the customer away.
Souya: Of course, his angry expression made the customer even more belligerent from the get-go. As they approached the counter, Angry (just in his normal tone of voice) asked them, “WHAT'S THE PROBLEM HERE?” He scared away half the store, customers scattered like cockroaches when the lights are turned on.
Shinichiro: Out of everyone, he was the nicest and most patient with the insufferable bastard. He genuinely apologized and actually worked to remedy the problem, which he did. The customer left feeling like they have a new best friend now.
Kokonoi: He managed to make it look like he halfway gives a shit. He doesn't. He's only there because he's being bribed. He “processed a refund” but actually charged them twice out of spite for making him suffer the unpleasant inconvenience of dealing with them.
Inupi: He gave them a deadpan stare, didn't even bother engaging. Once they finished their tirade, he flatly asked, “Are you done?”
Izana: He subtly insulted the customer and made them feel like a complete bumbling idiot without raising his voice once.
Hanma: He straight up laughed in the customer's face, absolutely delighted to make the situation worse. He didn't take any of this experiment seriously. He was only here because he was bored and felt like stirring shit up.
Rindou: Unfortunately, his RBF didn't deter the customer. He was immediately annoyed and muttered an insult under his breath, disguising it as a cough, making the customer even more irate. His smug reply, “You must've misheard me,” sent the customer into orbit.
Ran: He leaned against the counter, chin propped in his hand, smiling in the most condescending way possible. He mocked the customer by repeating their complaints in a whiny tone. After they threatened to call a manager, he just shrugged and told them to go ahead. Gave absolutely zero fucks.
Kisaki: He manipulated the situation to make the customer appear like they were trying to rob the store. Cops were called, the customer was hauled away in handcuffs, and he looked like the hero who saved everyone.
Taiju: He intimidated the customer into silence by just standing there. When they stammered pitifully and approached with their complaint, he slammed his fist on the counter and shouted, “YOU GOT A PROBLEM?!” They quietly slinked away with a fresh brown stain in their underwear.
Shion: He started out with the “tough guy” act, threatening to rearrange the customer's face with his brass knuckles. It escalated quickly when the customer presented him with their own brass knuckles and pepper spray. At that point, he pretended he was just joking and backpedaled, stammering while looking to Izana for help.

。YOU'RE STUCK WITH ME.
one line.
one note.
that's all it took to trigger the memories flooding in. wave after wave: going to the movies as the summer evening chill tiptoes in. waking up ajs rising in the early hours of the early morning as footfalls on the creaky, old stairs rouse them from their deep slumber. playfights and the banter of a secret language between father and child as said older man wearily comes home from work. a heavy hand landing on the top of their head as goodnights are exchanged.
many more invade the mentally, emotionally tired mind sending them spiraling further and further—
“i can hear you pacing again. relax your shoulders and hands.”
the gentlest, lightest of touches on their shoulders reminds them they are not alone anymore. large, warm hands move to their hands flexing their fingers and massaging the nail marks out of their palms. their chest moves up and down at an alarming pace, deep breath after deep breath unknowingly matching his own breaths.
“that's it... slow your breathing down. in for four. hold... one, two, three, four... out for four. and again. in for four....”
a low, soft voice grounds them as the intrusive thoughts of finally giving up and accepting that they will never climb out of the darkness they are in and see their life be normal again.... nevermind. breathing exercises aren't working tonight—
“(name)! hey! look at me, (name)!”
the soft pads of his thumbs brush away stray tears drying on their cheeks, pooling in their eyes.
“you're getting over being sick, love. don't be so hard on yourself; give yourself a break, okay?”
“why do you stay with me? no matter how awful i can be or how long i've neglected myself. no matter how sick i can get and how much i worry you.... why do you stay? there are other people out there who certainly have more normal lives than me. i'm just dragging you down, keeping you from living your life the way you like— mPHh!” a hand over their mouth cuts them off from their negative rambling.
“what the hell are you saying?” a squeeze to their cheeks. “you're one of the coolest, strongest people i know. super stubborn too. and cute. and silly. and of course, only those with a good fashion sense are allowed to hang with us. and i'm not talking about your clothes or hairstyle — don't listen to ran. you... you know i'm not good with my words nor do i like watching, doing, no less even saying corny shit.” a sigh, almost like he's embarrassed or flustered which makes his next words more meaningful. “but when i'm talking about a good fashion sense, i mean a smile. and do not!” he places a finger over their open mouth, shushing them. “do. fcking. not. say your smile is ugly. ugly is that hairless cat at that petshop near musashi shrine.” he huffed and shyly grinned happy to see his precious partner choking out a laugh between their sobs. “nah, your smile is beautiful. it's all toothy and big and... er... well, expressive— hey, don't laugh!” contradictory to his words he chuckled and gave their cheek a playful pinch. “you know i'm shit at words, dumbass.”
“anyway, (name), i chose you. out of all the girls, guys, and nonbinary hoes in japan i.” peck. “chose.” peck. “you.” peck. “even before we started dating. remember how you were the one who knocked out on the train late at night on the roppongi line? ran called me on the way back from getting food. something about bringing home a guest for some reasok. not the most conventional way to meet someone. but he and i have been keeping an eye on you for a while.” leaning back to stretch, he rubbed the back of his neck finding it hard to keep eye contact. as he said he hates anything cheesy and isn't good with words sometimes if not all the time. but for them, he is so in love that he'd do anything to see his favorite smile again. “you know, you're not the only one who's been silently observing the one they love. i had no idea you were struggling so much with your illness. mikey may be called ‘invincible’ but you're just as strong. i remember always seeing you laughing or smiling at something. plus your episodes make life interesting. the haitanis like people who make their lives thrilling and exciting. and that's not a bad mindset for us delinquents to have. (name), you make my life fun. there is always something happening with you. you and your mom joke about getting into all these adventures. well, i want in. so let me join you, 'kay? and if you ever do or say something dickish, i'll call you out. only me and my gang can snap your head on straight. you're kinda stuck with me — with all of us. there ain't no getting away! love you, snoopy.”
“now,” standing up and stretching he smirked down seeing them blush as they stared at his defined stomach making a surprise visit when his shirt rose up. “i'm ordering us some take out. fuck the late hour. you're gonna eat food and drink water. knowing you when you get upset and spiral you forget to take your meds. go do that while i run a bath. you can use my soap just this once.”
“ah! and one last thing, (name): you lost someone close to you on top of getting sick. again, give yourself a break, dumbass. don't fall so deep that you forget you to rely on others. i'll drag you back up if you do, doll.”

Going Home: Chapter 1 | 2 | 3 | 4
happy thanksgiving! sorry I fell off the earth for a while, died and the immigration queue back from hell took forever, read: took an unexpected hiatus from burnout :'(
Tumblr media
Draken stood face to face with Baji, abyss eyes gazing back blankly at the other’s. Panting heavily despite the short distance covered by them both - Draken knew Baji’s shop was just a few streets away from here - their heavy breaths the only sound that echoed down empty residential streets.
A fucking time leaper.
Of all the bloody things in the world.
The thumping of his heart in his ears was hard and furious as Draken turned the information over and over in his head, again and again. It had to be true, what you told his past self. Everything lined up too well for it to not be: your sudden disappearances twelve years ago, your perpetual state of absence from their world, their inability to find even a lick of evidence that you existed somewhere out there save for those old pictures they had pinched from your house. You had simply been lost to the flow of time, drifting in and out of their timeline by some unknown means.
It was a blessing of rain on their gasping earth, this new information, no matter how big of a headache he had getting a blast of memories straight to the brain - you weren’t dead. You hadn’t left this earth, left them. There was still a chance to get you back, to make things right.
Far above his head, the flicker of a streetlight broke the stillness of the thick air, the tick of a clock inside a darkened shop indicating the seconds slipping by with every heaving breath Draken took. It was far too late on a weekday night to be awake in any other circumstance: there was work and school to attend to tomorrow, and the apartments towering above were dark and silent, its residents long asleep. Yet no matter how insignificant their struggles seemed in the face of the world that continued to turn - you were after all just another missing person among thousands of others - here they were, two former delinquents once known and feared for their might gathered like devout cultists. And for any unfortunate soul who might happen to look upon them, Draken mused, they could pass off as some sort of cultist, or madmen even - Baji wasn’t even wearing a shirt for fucks’ sake. The First Division Captain must have been asleep when the memories were cannonballed straight into his head, and had grabbed his apron out of instinct instead of a shirt. He, on the other hand, was at least clad in his working overalls, the wrench he had taken to a customer’s bike ten minutes ago still clutched in hand.
Letting out a shuddering breath, Draken forced himself to focus. There were more urgent questions that needed an answer over him dwelling on the could-bes. Like why now? Why the sudden recollection, an uncontrolled flare of memories that he didn’t previously have? Did something change, perhaps linked to you and your particular situation, that triggered these new memories in not only him but in Baji as well?
His mind instantly jumped back to four nights ago, when Takemichi had muscled his way back into his life unannounced, those flabby lips boldly asking after you and your whereabouts as if he had any right to do so. Sure, he had thought then that the questions being asked were strange and out of place, off-putting even, but now that he had the time to think and turn the meeting over, now more than ever, the former Toman Vice Captain was sure it couldn’t be a mere coincidence. It wasn’t possible.
Could it be that Takemichi knew about the new memories? Scratch that, did that scrawny little bastard know about you and your time leaping? Had the two of you met before without the Toman founders’ knowledge? And who was that other man that had been with Takemichi?
Baji’s train of thoughts, however, seemed to have gone down a slightly different path. “So that means that omamori - it didn’t work?” The pet shop owner’s almost panicked question broke Draken out from his pondering. “Did you lose it?”
Almost instinctively, Draken’s hand went to his neck, though the purple and gold charm hadn’t hung there in years. Where had that gone? Try as he might, his mind was blank, the bike-loving mechanic struggling to even recall the last time he had seen the small embroidered cloth. What happened to the omamori in the past twelve years? Had it been misplaced somewhere along the way? He hadn’t thought about it much, not since you went missing all those years ago. But how could he have just simply forgotten about something as important as that? Something that was so inherently…you? You had always been the one to bear the charm, a symbol of the place you once held at the center of Toman, a symbol of the protection its delinquent founders afforded you.
Either way, wherever the omamori had gone now, he was sure that right before you were lost to time - “I had it,” Draken mumbled. “I’m sure I had it with me when she went missing. The memory, I just got that.”
The former First Division Captain of the Tokyo Manji Gang has had a long day. A long, tiring, annoying day. Running a pet shop while working towards his vet license was far from the easiest thing, and Baji had used up most of his energy between stopping himself from letting his notoriously short temper loose on several irritating customers who didn’t know how close they came to meeting the business end of his fists, and attempting to understand the absolutely convoluted material he needed to learn for one of many classes. So when he had finally tumbled into bed at the end of the day, exhausted and ready for the welcome of sleep, the last thing he expected was to have what felt like an ice pick to his head - a sudden blast of memories and recollections that the man couldn’t control, that he didn’t have before, that ached and burned as they bombarded his mind, settling between existing memories as if they had always been there.
It gave him a serious headache that no amount of ice could get rid off - which sucked a ton, of course - but even through the gnawing throb, it gave him a renewed sense of hope that Baji clung to like a drowning man to a life buoy. You weren’t dead. No, you were very, very much alive, even now while you were still lost to the grasp of time. The main question was why? Why were you still missing? They had it all figured out twelve years ago. Your disappearance was supposed to have been solved.
Baji’s hands moved to grab Draken by the front of his shirt, shaking the other man vigorously. “If you had it, then she shouldn’t be here,” the black-haired man snarled, his fists tightening around the rough material of the overalls. “She wouldn’t have gone missing twelve years ago.”
“There must be more to it then,” the man in the overalls muttered under his breath, one hand coming up to grasp his chin . “Maybe it’s not just the omamori.”
Something beyond the charm?
Yellow eyes scanned the surroundings as he contemplated the recent revelations. The alley where the two of them now stood held many bitter memories, given it was where you had disappeared from the first time, though the large grass patch a stone’s throw away wasn’t any more reassuring. It was where your school once stood, where he recalled picking you up from countless times from the curb, his loud motorbike drawing stares and shudders alike, where the Toman founders once regular gathered to dish out beatings to your schoolmates for their insolence towards you, where your life had revolved around.
The building was long gone, burnt down in an act of arson that the police declined to investigate, with the rumor mills pointed at organized crime - and this man could guess exactly which one. The black-haired former delinquent hesitated, before speaking again. “But what else? Intention?”
Draken brushed his questions off, those abyss eyes focusing. “This isn’t the time to figure this out, Baji. The new memories; it has to be because she time leapt again, which means -”
“She’s here.” Baji’s mind raced with the implications, his entire mind feeling as if it was on fire - once sleepy and exhausted from the day’s work but now running at full speed. That memory of you comforting the Toman founders after your return, telling them that you were a time leaper. You were alive for now, though it would be hard to say how long that would last - if you had truly time leapt and were now here, in their future, then the pet shop owner had yet to see head or toe of you. “The first time she went missing, where could she have gone?”
What was it that made you so reluctant to tell your friends what happened in the future?
Something seemed to click into place in Draken's brain, the growing horror on his face telling Baji everything he needed to know about the resolved puzzle. “Mikey.”
The sole name was uttered like the arriving finale of an apocalypse.
It made sense. You would do that - you would, if it was Mikey. If it was any of your beloved friends.
The two of them make a break for it as if on cue, sprinting towards the same destination with a wordless agreement; your house, Baji knew as he willed himself to go faster. It was where he was sure you would go if you were really here.
If you died here, in their future, would that also mean that you would also die back in the past where you came from? Would he never see you again? Your warm smile and loving hugs flashed through Baji’s mind, and he bit his tongue. No, that wasn’t a thought he was even going to entertain. Nothing close to that would even be the slightest bit acceptable. They were going to find you, and they were going to make sure you got home. Safely.
“How long has it been? Since the memories?”
“15 minutes.”
There was no response from Draken this time, though both men’s strides hastened, flying across the concrete as they rounded the corner almost at the same time, nearly crashing into each other, their curses flying free from their lips and into the night sky. There were a lot of things they needed to ask you, but now the most important thing was that they needed to get to you, before Mikey’s fingers could close around you.
“Do you think she’s some sort of time traveler?”
Kakucho startled, blinking as he turned away from watching the familiar sights and sounds of Tokyo rushing by outside of the limousine. “Pardon?”
The ride from Bonten HQ had been completely silent up till now, the whirl of the air-conditioning combined with the light patter of rain having been just loud enough to cover the sound of the two men breathing. It was tense, and though that usually would be the right way to describe being in any sort of confined space with Sanzu, this time was different.
Despite the former Tenjiku member being one of two people who had what could be counted as a decent relationship with the other’s maniacal state, there was something about this rational pink-haired man that sent a shiver running down Kakucho’s spine. Sure, the usually rabid, drugged-up Sanzu had always been unpredictable when it came to his next move or even his next thought, but this version of Bonten’s second in command with forced mental clarity was downright dangerous; he had a singular goal to achieve, and it was Mikey’s survival. At any expense.
Said man didn’t move, continuing to simply gaze out of the car with an uncharacteristic calmness, alert half-lidded green eyes lifting momentarily to glance at Kakucho through the reflection in the tinted window glass. “Do you think she’s a time traveler?” He repeated.
Kakucho almost laughed out loud, though it was years of discipline and control over his expression that stopped his facial muscles from even twitching. He would have let the chuckle stuck in his throat loose if it was anyone else that occupied the far end of the car, if there was the slightest possibility that Sanzu had been joking around. But there was no humor in the other’s tone, nothing that would indicate the question wasn’t genuine, nor was Mikey’s right-hand man the only one to have this particular idea.
Leaning back into his seat, his arms folding across his chest, Kakucho himself recalled having a similar train of thought the first time he had stumbled into your room and his eye was met with your trembling pair. “I believe she would be a good candidate for one,” the Bonten Number Three carefully answered, every word painstakingly picked, all the while making sure to keep his sole working eye trained on Sanzu. “If there is any possibility that time traveling exists.”
Sanzu tsked, clearly annoyed at Kakucho’s indirect answer. Perhaps he was looking for a more yes or no answer? “She looks exactly the same from back when Toman was around,” the pink-haired man mumbled under his breath, just loud enough for the black-haired man to catch.
The car once more fell into a tense silence as the two men sat and stewed in their own thoughts, the lights of the world outside flashing by uncaringly. Kakucho turned his focus once more to the phone clutched in his hand, absentmindedly scrolling through the updates back from headquarters that constantly lit up his screen, his face as stoic as it always was - without a doubt in his mind, the real you had been a clear one-to-one match to your picture from twelve years ago Mikey had provided. You looked too young to have been missing for so many years.
This whole situation all sounded too much like a sick joke that someone out there was playing with them and their very lives, but the sinking feeling in his gut told Kakucho everything he needed to know; there was no way that this was the end just yet.
By the time the sleek black limousine pulled up along your street, the minutes the ride had taken from Bonten Headquarters to your street felt more like hours. The rain had now become heavier, fat droplets falling from the night sky pelting everything and anything below, the moon and stars that usually twinkled in the dark of space obscured by storm clouds rolling past overhead. The air was thick, humid, and weighty with every breath.
It was one of those rare times that Kakucho could genuinely claim that he was nervous, the pound of his heart in his chest hard enough that he could almost hear it echoing in the car even if expression remained as impassive as it always have been.
The only other time your house alarm had been tripped, yes it was indeed you who he had found. And even this time, he had the constant confirmation back from headquarters that it was someone who managed your general statue that was loitering around the vicinity of what used to be your home, but the what-ifs continued to plague Kakucho. What if it was all a mere coincidence, and he and Sanzu find someone else instead; a burglar, maybe an unsuspecting passerby taking shelter? What if it was you, but by the time they arrived you were already gone? What if someone else got to you first?
Kakucho shook his head, attempting to pull his full focus back to reality as the car rolled to a full stop outside the all-too familiar house, the two men preparing to leave. There was little point in entertaining such anxiety driven thoughts. They will find out soon enough whether you were truly back.
As soon as the door on his end swung open, the unease instantly drained away from the black-haired man - there you were. Seated on the steps of the front porch of your house, you were truly a sight for sore eyes amidst the pouring rain, the brightly colored pajamas that you wore making you stick out against the backdrop of your unlit house. You must have been asleep before you were…pulled (from where, Kakucho would make no assumptions at this current point in time), no surprise given the time of night.
You gave them a small wave as two umbrellas sprouted up from the car door like mushrooms, a moving refuge from the anger of the heavers; your gaze following them as the two men strolled up the street, letting themselves in through the small gate at front of your house. “Hello again,” you greeted cheerfully as you stood, pausing momentarily to dust the back of your pants off. “Kakucho-san, Sanzu-san.”
Kakucho nodded in acknowledgement, his sole red eye glancing cautiously around the neighborhood. It was dead silent, the row of bland gray houses that stretched as far he could see all dark and unlit, though to the seasoned yakuza, the calmness was far from reassuring, the dark of night only equating to more places for potential threats to find. It was dangerous to have you out in the open like that, especially with your association with Bonten. “Why aren’t you waiting inside for us?”
You shrugged. “I didn’t have my keys on me this time,” you answered honestly.
Sanzu’s scarred lips pulled downwards in clear disapproval of your decision, the pink-haired man turning back towards the waiting limousine, not waiting to see if you followed, his umbrella bobbing slightly with each stride. “This way.”
Time traveler, the two words echoed again in Kakucho’s head as he patiently waited for you, watching as you hopped the last few steps to take shelter under his umbrella as he walked you out to the car, your comparatively juvenile face turning to beam up at him. If there was any doubt before, he was more certain of it than not. There was simply no way you weren’t a time leaper.
Sanzu couldn’t find it in himself to be angry at your lack of awareness. Hell, his sheer hatred of you had been draining away with every new forceful injection of memories, and the former Toman delinquent could hardly recall why he resented you so much to begin with at this point. Those voices that had been nagging at the back of his mind for the past fourteen years seemingly having been silenced for good; then again, it could also just be him weaning off the cocktail of drugs he had religiously been on. Who knows? You had always been a good egg as far as he could remember, a kind soul to whoever you met whether or not Mikey and the other less-important founders approved. Had it just been mere jealousy over the closeness you shared with his king that had driven him to that extreme?
The pink-haired man rubbed at his temples, the most recent blast of new memories straight into his brain having given him a splitting headache, the aftereffects still radiating from the back of his head. The rain pounding away on his umbrella and everywhere in general wasn’t helping either. Perhaps it was because the last round he had been unconscious after being shot while high on drugs, cause he didn’t remember the experience being this painful or defined previously.
But more importantly, with every new wave, he was now as certain as he is that the path to hell is hot that one, the omamori from the founding of the Toman gang - the purple and gold one that he had seen you carry twelve years ago as a testament to your favor from Mikey - had something to do with your disappearance twelve years ago. And two: you were definitely some sort of time traveler. If not, the new memories he got of you from the past just wouldn’t make sense, why would you be attempting to apologize for nothing? You had to be apologizing for getting him in trouble with Mikey (after he attempted to strangle you to death, that is, but that was a small detail).
Thunder rumbled in the distance, a clear sign of displeasure from the heavens on Sanzu’s heretic thoughts - time leaping, of all possible things. He was never going to live it down if he was wrong, the Haitani brothers would make sure of that. But then again, didn’t Rindou also say that he got those new memories?
The heavy rain continued to pour relentlessly, dampening the scar-lipped man’s mood further as he tapped his foot impatiently, waiting for Kakucho and you to catch up. Honestly, could you be any slower?
It was the sudden sound of pounding in the distance that first caught his ear, a faint thumping that stood out from the otherwise rhythmic rain pelting down to earth; a sound that Sanzu identified as running. You were about halfway to the limo now, and the Bonten second-in-command willed you to move faster. If it had been any other time, it wouldn’t be such a red flag. But this was a residential estate, in the middle of the night.
No sane person would be running at this time.
A suspicious glance around by clear green eyes yielded nothing at first, the drumming of feet was certainly still there amidst the rain, but the coast was clear as of now, and the mafioso opted to stay on high alert. Years of delinquency followed by a descent into the yakuza world had taught Sanzu not to let his guard down easily, and he signaled to Kakucho, urging him to hurry you up, a telltale tingle running down his spine.
He didn’t like this one bit - they were exposed on the street, moving slowly with a precious payload. No good news. The faster all of them could get into the limousine and get out of this place, the better.
Those footsteps though, they just kept coming closer and closer, growing ever louder and stronger with every tick from his watch.
And the next thing Sanzu knew, it was the screech of shoes turning a wet concrete corner way too fast, and then the awfully familiar and wholly unwelcomed silhouettes of Draken and Baji came screeching round the corner, their eyes instantly snapping first to you, and then moving to glance between him and Kakucho, their eyes widening simultaneously as it dawned on them what they were witnessing. Both plainly-colored mobs of long hair were obviously soaked even from this distance, the drenched clothes and lack of umbrellas that the former Toman founders were clad in telling the Bonten mafioso everything he needed to do now.
They must have gotten the new memories as well. They must know now.
Fuck, what had happened in the past? How is it more and more people were getting the memories?
“Draken? Baji?” You wondered out loud, your voice tinted uncertainty as to whether who you saw speeding towards you were indeed the Toman founders you knew.
He glanced at them again, and then at the car. Godammit, their pace was picking up. Maybe if he had been a bit faster, a bit more insistent in herding you into the car. Maybe if he had just grabbed you and hurled you over his shoulder like potatoes.
But it was too little too late. This wasn’t part of the plan. Sanzu couldn’t lose you to them now - not with Mikey’s life on the line.
“Fucking hell,” the man with the scarred lips swore, throwing aside his umbrella, his now freed hand reaching under his coat and pulling out his gun from its holster in one smooth move, flicking the safety off as he raised the weapon.
You, however, were faster. “No! Sanzu, don’t!”
Throwing yourself straight at his gun with a panicked cry, said mafiaso had no choice other than to immediately lower his weapon to avoid your outstretched hands, the click of the safety switching back on lost in the pouring rain. Now that you were finally back with Bonten, the last thing Sanzu wanted to do was to be responsible for the death of his king by accidentally shooting you.
He turned to bark at the other Bonten member. “Cover me, Kakucho!”
Said man lept into action, withdrawing his firearm, aiming and firing off two shots at the ground in front of the charging Toman founder, forcing them to screech to a halt, though their quaking eyes remained fixed on you.
You screamed.
With a quick holster of his gun, Sanzu swung, his arm catching you around the middle, and you were shoved through the open car door into the backseat of the limousine, the purple-suited man quickly following suit.
The roar of anger from both Draken and Baji reverberated through the streets, their sheer fury palpable. “SANZU!” Draken bellowed. “LET HER GO!”
”I’M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU SANZU!” Baji thundered in unison, his mob of black hair whipping backwards amidst the equally ferocious rain.
Sanzu wasn’t going to wait around to find out. “’We’re leaving!” He barked at Kakucho, simultaneously giving the driver’s divide a few rapid pounds.
Keeping his gun raised, Kakucho retreated quickly, throwing himself through the open car door that slammed shut behind him. The car peeled off, leaving Draken and Baji standing on the curb right outside your house, staring at the car disappearing into the rainy mist.
On the other end of the sleepy Tokyo metropolitan, the rain was equally relentless, a harsh howling wind rattling windows as it swept the fat raindrops inwards, drenching a miserable and already shivering Takemichi. The three more raps on Naoto’s front door were barely audible through the chaos that the sky was remaining down, though the former delinquent opted to resume his nervous pacing up and down along the apartment corridor, his furrowed brows and lost gaze accurately portraying the turmoil in his head. It had to be you, the twenty-six year old thought to himself as he wrung his hands in despair - that glimpse of a fleeting shadow he spotted near where your school once stood; it had to be. There was no doubt about it.
Yet he didn’t have a single whiff of evidence to back his claim up, just that churning feeling in the pit of his gut. Takemichi let out a low groan, slumping against the tiled wall, the wet tiles making little difference to his already soggy clothes. At this point, what else could he do but only hope against hope that it was enough to convince the younger Tachibana?
So occupied in his turbulent thoughts that he missed the beige door - one of many identical ones that lined the entire hallway - creaking open, a familiar mob of black hair peering out. “Takemichi? What’re you doing here at this time?”
Takemichi turned robotically at the words before turning back to face the open air and pelting rain, before his messy brain did a double take and it registered who had spoken. The tears sprang forth before he could stop them.
“Nao-Naoto!” The former delinquent wailed, barreling his way into the house and almost running the other man over before Naoto could reprimand him for his atrocious lack of respect for the neighbors. The apartment was as it always was, always had been in every timeline; plainly decorated, clean and neat, not that it mattered to a borderline hysterical Takemichi at the moment.
“I-I saw her, Naoto! N-near her school lot! I swear it was her!” He rambled, his hands clutching his shirt with a death grip, explosively energized from frayed nerves even as blown eyes glanced between the cupboard and Naoto. “You have to believe me!”
His head pounded. Naoto must believe him. He has to.
“....kemichi! Takemichi!”
His head flew left sharply, his ears ringing from the force. The stinging pain on his cheek only set in seconds later. But it finally broke Takemichi out from his meltdown, snapping him straight back to reality.
“I know she’s back! I got it, breathe,” Naoto directed the hyperventilating man to have a seat at the dining table before shuffling away, returning with two steaming mugs. ”Feeling better?”
Hand coming up to hesitatingly poke at the reddening and swelling cheek, the former delinquent throwing a dirty side-eye at the younger Tachibana sibling, though he was quick to drop his look when the other turned to face him. ”You didn’t have to hit me,” Takemichi muttered, before grumbling his begrudging thanks as he accepted the cup.
Naoto raised an eyebrow, taking the opposite seat. “You weren’t listening.”
“Okay, okay, fine. So you believe me?”
“I do,” the detective nodded. “And I have news for you. Bad news.” From a side drawer, he retrieved what seemed like a small piece of paper and slid it across the table to Takemichi. A photograph of some sorts. The image itself was blurry and hard to make out, as if it had been taken quickly, perhaps in passing or if the photographer had to hide after the snap..
Blue eyes squinted as Takemichi tried to interpret the picture, lifting it closer to his face. What was this even supposed to be? A white cat or something hiding among some large rocks? But those rectangular light sources could pass for a shop window? The photo was all but pressed against his nose before Naoto forcibly yanked Takemictchi’s hand back far enough to tap at the mob of white-hair.
The former delinquent looked up at the other man. “This is…”
”Mikey,” Naoto said resolutely. “Bonten’s boss.”
The air was still in the apartment as the former Toman member followed the detective’s pointing finger up to those black eyes, the storm outside lashing out against the windows and thunder booming in the distance filling the tense silence. It couldn’t be. That couldn’t be true, Takemichi tried to tell himself, a desperate chuckle slipping his lips as he waited for Naoto to break into a laugh. A smile. To say that he was joking, to name another person, another cruel entity that could possibly commit such heinous crimes. Anything.
Because it couldn’t be. Not the Mikey he knew.
But even the quirk of his lips drained away when the Tachibana didn’t break the moody tension, his severe expression never wavering. Naoto meant it.
It was like a physical punch to his gut.
“Mikey?” Takemichi gasped out, barely able to catch his breath. The images of those tormented souls and their broken bodies that Naoto had shown him previously roared straight to the front of his mind once more, his face turning green from the mere memory. “It can’t be- Mikey wouldn’t-” Mikey wouldn’t do something like that, was what he wanted to say, the words dying on his lips as those blue eyes trembled with unshed tears.
The smoke from the tea wafted lazily through the air, the smell of green tea light and fragrant; a small relief from the heavy atmosphere that weighed down on his chest.
Yet Naoto pressed on, all but ignoring the stammered rebuttal; facts were unfortunately facts. He tapped the photo once more, and Takemichi’s eyes followed his finger to the small figure with their face turned upwards, almost completely hidden between the ring of black - the backs of bodyguards, his mind instinctively told him - and Mikey. “And that,” the detective said seriously. “Is who you’re looking for.”
Your name sprang instantly to the tip of Takemichi’s tongue, but he swallowed it back down on instinct alone before he could accidentally let it slip through his lips, lest one of the Toman founders hear of his transgressions through time. “The seventh Toman Founder,” he said, almost reverently. You were like a myth, a legend to all who made up Toman’s ranks, your mere name alone enough to send a shiver of fear down the spines of the black-clad boys. He still had never met nor seen you in person - and it all the more seemed to reinforce that legendary status. “This is her?”
Naoto nodded. “This was taken last week, about five days ago.” From the same side drawer, the police detective took out a case file, your school photo prominently pinned to the front.
Wait. The two photos, it wasn’t possible. “But she looks exactly the same…”
“Which means she is a time leaper,” Naoto confirmed. “Like you, Takemichi. There’s no doubt about it now.”  A pause, as the younger man let his words sink in, before he continued. “But the difference is that she’s not in her older body. She’s switching places completely.”
“Plus her time leaping is overriding mine. There’s no new timeline, not even after we saved Draken. Just new memories?”
“New memories, yes. I haven’t received anything as of late, so I don’t know if she’s here or in the past at the moment. And on top of all this, we still don’t know if anyone else is getting those memories too.”
The throb of his mind as Takemichi to wrestle with and digest the avalanche of new information only served to reinforce just how convoluted this entire situation was. “So-  Naoto, do you think she may have already told Mikey that she’s a time leaper?”
Said detective frowned. “She could have - they are good friends, no? He, and the rest of Toman, could very well be getting the memories as well.”
Takemichi slumps down in his seat; that would complicate things a lot. A ton, in fact. He desperately needs to speak with you, and fast; just to understand better what he could do to break the cycle, and perhaps even learn more about his own time leaping abilities - if you were capable of changing memories, you might have already inevitably told Mikey and the others that you were a time leaper.
The one problem was figuring out if you’re here in the future or back in the past, and it wasn’t as if he could just saunter up and ask without turning into a smear on the street. Takemichi’s best bet would be trying to catch you here, in what was your future, somewhere he could talk to you without the shadow of the Toman founders hanging over you; but if Mikey and Bonten already had you in his grasp…
Then the chance of Takemichi being able to speak to you would be close to zero.
He needed a solution and stat.
The limousine sped by familiar roads, the rain that refused to let up a cacophony of sound against the metal shell of the limousine. It at least brought you a momentary solace, your heart continuing to race away like the pounding feet of a horse as you tried to process what had just happened. Everything looked glazed over, as if you were viewing the world around you through a layer of frosted glass, your eyes swirling around in your head as you tried to catch your breath, tried to stop your thoughts from spiralling down an unending and hopeless abyss.
Draken and Baji - they were right there. Your precious friends.
Not only were you back in the same future, with the same tired, bone-thin Mikey you remembered leaving behind, the friends you had thought the worst had happened to were still a part of this timeline.
Why hadn’t Mikey answered you all that time ago, when you had asked him about where the rest of your friends were? You had assumed the white-haired man only refused to speak due to an incomprehensible tragedy that befell his once-closest allies, that had ripped the rest of the Toman founders away from him and left him in that sorry state. You had felt that profound sadness pouring from your friend, experienced the grief that clenched at your heart. And you had decided not to pry, to not surface what would be extremely painful memories.
But you had seen them with your own eyes, and they were fine. Alive, breathing. Caring. They had come for you even in the torrential rain, fists swinging, yelling and pissing off your neighbours in the process as they always did. Nothing you could stay mad at, really.
So why? Why didn’t Mikey want to tell you? Why wasn’t he in contact with the rest?
The lights that flashed by through heavily tinted windows held no answers for you, the dull pinks, purples and yellows of the fluorescent signs that made it through briefly illuminating the skin of your hand before fading back into the shadows as quickly as it came, the car leaving the quiet residential streets for the city that never sleeps.
You needed to speak with the future’s Draken and Baji, you decided. You weren’t sure how, given what you had witnessed earlier and Mikey’s likely clinginess, but you had to find out what was going on. If not to find out if they perhaps knew anything about your time leaping that you didn’t, then at least to understand the chasm that had developed between your friends.
“Fuck, I’m fucking drenched!” Sanzu complained loudly, pulling at the soaked purple striped vest and allowing the heavy cloth to sag under its own weight. Kakuchi himself grimaced at his own dripping state, but said nothing save to grunt in acknowledgement.
There was no doubt about it now, you mused to yourself albeit grimly as you settled back into the car seat, your pajamas squelching slightly under you as you glanced between a grumbling Sanzu and a stoic Kakucho. You sure hoped that the pink-haired man wasn’t going to use the opportunity to wrap his hands around your throat again, though he did seem pretty calm this time. Still, you still opted to shift somewhat towards Kakucho. Just to be safe.
Fidgeting with the hem of your pajamas, you glanced out the window again. The tension simmering in the car, combined with the sheer silence that permeated the air, made the atmosphere a bit too heavy for comfort. You bit your lip. What to say? “How’s Mikey?” You decided on asking. At least the one thing that you knew for sure that both men were fiercely loyal to Mikey, not that you wanted to know why the devotion; some things were better not known, much like how you avoided asking your Toman friends what they’ve been up to while you were away.
The sudden stillness was deafening. Even the patter of raindrops faded away, blanketed by this oppressive tranquility that weighed on your chest, on you. You hardly dared to breathe, let alone move, with both Sanzu and Kakucho seeming to freeze on your question. Were they unsure on how to answer you? Scarred lips twitched as if making to speak, those piercing green eyes darting sideways to meet yours before drifting away, Sanzu ultimately deciding against whatever it was he wanted to say. Kakucho simply continued to face forward, though you did catch his sole working red eye fixed on you, unspoken words lost to the raging storm.
The pink-haired man finally replied. “Mikey’s…not doing well,” was all he said, before he turned to look back out the window, his hand dipping into his striped vest’s pocket to pull out a pack of cigarettes, though he ultimately thought better of it and stuffed the crumpled box back.
You stared at him, mouth agape. Turning to Kakucho only resulted in the other man avoiding your gaze. If that was all the two had to say, then this was not good. Not in the slightest.
Your heart wrenched when Sanzu led you into the infirmary, with your two sets of footsteps echoing off the white walls The spotless room was enormous, empty beds lining both walls, neatly made with their curtains drawn - save for one at the far end. And it was in the sole occupied bed that you spotted Mikey’s frail frame, a small lump under the covers, his white-hair all but blending into the clean sheets. Sighing, you sank down into the hard plastic chair, your hand reaching out to brush against the pulled covers. “Mikey,” you whispered, the sole word heavy with guilt. You wanted to touch him, to run your fingers gently through his hair, to pull your friend into your arms and assure him everything would be all right. That he needn’t suffer, that you would care for him.
But you restrained yourself, your arm falling limply to one side. This was all your fault. You had been too hasty, too eager to return home, too assured in the idea that this timeline would simply fade into your memory, that the outcome would change when you did so little. But now, reality was staring you cold in the face, and you couldn’t think of a time when you had seen Mikey so frail.
At the sound of your voice, the form stirred, stiff shoulders instantly relaxing as those abyss eyes met yours, blinking weakly. You saw your name formed on his lips, though no sound left his throat. It seemed that even the sight of you had completely relaxed the broken man.
A soft click, as Sanzu quietly exited the room, leaving you and Mikey alone. “I brought you some food Mikey. Would you like to have something to eat or drink?” You showed the white-haired man the paper-wrapped taiyaki and the glass of water you had brought with you; upon your earlier arrival, Sanzu had brought you straight to the kitchens to whip up something quick. You had your suspicions on what had happened, though you hadn’t quite realized just how bad it had gotten until you laid eyes on Mikey.
Fortunately, it seemed Mikey instantly recognized the cake as your handmade variety, not store-bought or Sanzu’s, and as if on cue, his stomach began to rumble. Your lips quirked a small smile, and you turned to set the glass of water down, before tearing off a small chunk of taiyaki. Cooling it down with a blow, you carefully dipped it in some water to moisten the piece (heresy, but so much easier to eat for someone who hadn’t in four days), before holding it up to your friend’s lips. “Ahhhhh.”
The white-haired man obliged, his lips parting to allow you to press the small morsel of food into his mouth. A quick bite and then swallow. You managed to repeat the process two more times before the other’s eyes were all but closed, the exhaustion setting in now with some food in his belly.
Rewrapping the taiyaki in its paper, you kicked off your shoes, climbed onto the infirmary bed and settled next to Mikey. His eyes already fluttered shut, it didn’t stop him from wrapping his arms around you and tucking his face into the crook of your neck as you crawled under the sheets, the other’s breathing evening out before you closed your eyes, finally at peace.
Twelve years separate from you and stuck in the past where they couldn’t get to you, the Toman founders once more found themselves in a conundrum they had no answers to.
Kazutora’s hysterical wails, a piercing cry that the boy couldn’t seem to stop and had been all that anyone within a hundred meter radius would have heard for a good half-hour, had thankfully died down into whimpers, his throat sore though the situation was far from resolved. The fearsome delinquent had been reduced to nothing more than a sniffling baby clutching onto your well-worn sweater, one that smelt strongly of you, his tears soaking the cloth as he buried his face into the soft material.
“She time-lept again?” Baji let out a groan, hands pulling at his face, his sweat-drenched black hair plastered uncomfortably to the nape of his neck. “But how? We have the omamori.”
“And it hasn’t left me since I got it,” Draken noted, pulling down the singlet he had opted for to reveal the purple and gold charm still pressed tight against his clavicle, where he had been wearing it day and night. “I wear it even when I shower.”
The weather was sweltering, the summer afternoon sun mercilessly baking everything and everyone under its light, and the lack of even a hot breeze made the whole situation ever so less tolerable. Gathered below the shade of your favourite oak tree in a clearing not too far from your school, it was once more an unfavourable situation over which the Toman founders were gathered,
Mikey pulled a face, looking extremely unimpressed as sweat poured freely off his forehead. “Maybe it’s cause I should have been the one to wear it.”
Kazutora only whimpered again in response, his fingers wrapping around your piece of clothing even tighter. Everyone present knew what he meant without speaking.
“Drop it Mikey, that’s not the issue right now.” Mitsuya sighed out, the relief at no longer being blamed for your disappearance clear on his expression even if his distress at you being missing wasn’t any less.
A pause, the uncaring city continuing to bustle around them.
“Maybe,” Pah said carefully, the usually loud boy looking like he was concentrating extraordinarily hard on the current situation, his forehead scrunched with his chin held in one hand. “Maybe there’s another omamori in the future as well.”
The other five boys robotically turned to look at the Fifth Division Captain as if he had grown a second head, their necks stiff and creaking. They hadn’t considered that possibility in the slightest, and the unusual insight from the usually act-first-think-later boy caught them off guard.
“It makes sense,” The lilac-haired delinquent admitted, Mitsuya drawing one leg up to balance on the bench. “We hadn’t thought of it, but why wouldn’t there be this omamori in the future?”
“Could have lost it,” Draken suggested.
Mikey snorted. “No way.” To which the other founders present murmured their agreement - it would be unlikely for them to misplace something so precious. “But I agree. There must be more to just having the omamori.”
“It doesn’t matter,” Baji lamented, running one hand through his long, sweat-soaked hair. “Time’s ticking, and we don’t know what’s happening in the future. What if she’s already hurt? Or dead?”
The small gathering of boys fell silent once more. Whatever was going on with the omamori, it was clear more than ever to the Toman founders that there were still too many unanswered questions. With every tick of the watch, every passing second that you were stuck in the future and apart from the Toman founders, your safety and fate grew ever more uncertain. They needed to get you back home with them, and fast.
“So what now?”
